I came into Pep Boys a little stressed due to the malfunction of the battery in my car. After describing my situation, the ever so kind employee, George, was most helpful. He was able to locate a battery for me and install it with no complications. I didn’t even have to wait long despite the amount of customers present. This location has great service! Definitely recommend.

Best experience in a tire repair place I’ve ever had! They repaired and changed my tire in less than 30 minutes and were so very nice and helpful! It was my first visit here, but it won’t be my last! Thank you so much!

My mom brought in a Jeep due to a coolant leak. This shop quoted her $5,000 for a new engine or $3,000 to replace the heads.Nathan showed me an engine sitting in the work bay that he says he pulled out of his own car with the same issue. He couldnt show me the coolant leak when I asked him to point out how he came to this conclusion.I decided to do some research on my own and determined that my radiator cap was cracked and brittle. This has been listed as a common issue for overheating and coolant loss.$4.97 later from Autozone and I was able to stop the leak by simply replacing the radiator cap.. This shop never once did a compression test nor checked the cap to determine if that could have been the issue.They simply looked at my mom and I assume she would have been an easy mark to charge thousands of dollars for a five dollar part that resolved the issue.

Huge store I always go to....but since they made changes, you pay at part counter now and new payment system and no more rewards.....seems like they are downsizing. They rearranged to have more space for tires and less for merchandise. But their shelves are thinning out of product. Not sure if they are gearing up for closing this location or if products are getting harder to come by.With jumping fuel prices and the cost for employment of entry level workers, its no big wonder.

Vladimir at the service counter is the best! He is very honest and really tries to get you the best deal. I even went once thinking i needed a tune-up when i didnt and he made sure to let me know all i needed was an oil change. He is a great asset to the company!

Waiting time is just horrible!!!Had appoitment for yesterday and they told me upon arrival that I would have to leave my car do to the waiting list. Thats not an option, so I made an appointment for today at 10:00Am. I was told would take 1-2hrs.Is 12:30pm my car has not even been taken for service. Now I have to go to work and waited for nothing. Hours wasted!!

We have a 2013 ford explore it needed the steering rack and gearbox changed. We had taken our car to the Plantation ford dealership on 441 for this work to be done and they wanted to charge us almost $4,000.00. Without any consideration. Also telling us the car was rotted on the bottom and need a new shock absorber in the rear part of the car in total the whole repair was going to be about 7,000.00 if we had the work done with the dealership. We decided to get a second opinion from Pep Boy since we have gotten great service from them before. Three days later we went to PEP Boys at 2380 S University and met with Nathan K.. He not only gave us great customer service but also care. He looked over what the dealership had written wrong with the car. An gave us great news the car only needed a steering rack and gearbox and their price was definitely more affordable than the dealership. We then told him, the price was very affordable, due to the pandemic we did not have the money to fix it now. He then told us let me see what I can do for you guys today to fix the car since it is not safe for your wife to drive in that condition. And then he made the price even more affordable where it was no longer an issue we could get the car fix immediately. We paid him right there and then. Nathan made sure to call us every step of the way since pep boy had to order the part from the ford dealership for replacement. Stay away from this place. Made and appointment for new brake pads. I was told my vehicle would be done by noon. Arrived and they told me 30 mins more only to be told 15 minutes later that I had special brakes. They requested these special brakes at 1:15pm and were on their way. My car has been at the shop for 6 hours and not even been serviced. Waste of time. Take your car to the dealership instead. Service is horrible!!

On March 26th, 2021 I went to this Pep Boys to purchase 4 tires for my Volkswagen Beetle and also requested an alignment. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with purchasing and installing tires. One my first visit they installed the wrong tire size for my car and the alignment was not accurate. Once again I had to go back. It turns out the first time I went there they did not have the tires I requested, instead of letting me know that, they dishonestly told me they found better tires for my car. Then the tires they installed had the wrong tire pressure so the tire pressure warning light came on, and has a result I had to return a third time. I am disappointed in the way customers are treated because I truly had high expectations. The service writers are dishonest, and the mechanics are incompetent. They apparently thought because I am a woman I would not recognize that. I absolutely do not recommend Pep Boys and will refrain from ever go there in the future.

I made my appointment online, got there and was taken care of right away. They were fast and super friendly.

This was a horrible experience. I left my tire at 2 the previous day to be patched and was told to bring my car in the next morning. I heard nothing from them and called them to find out nothing had be done and they said come in at 2. I came at 2 with the car and they had no idea where my tire was and then said to give them 30 minutes. An hour later and it still wasn’t done. Then the worker Vladimir fought with me and was extremely rude. They do not respect your time.

Dropped off my car did some errands in the tower shops and by the time i was done the car was ready. I ordered the tires online and scheduled the appointment.

McDonalds prices are too high these days. High end sandwiches discontinued but prices remain.Servers where not competent many, peoples orders were mixed up.

Thomas went out of his way to help my dad out and double checked that the bolts on his new tire was tight when no one was looking and I happened to be watching in the parking lot! Super friendly staff all around, would recommend them for any and all services!

There is always a problem at this place, I scheduled a service for 12pm and when I arrive to drop off they have a delay of 5 hours and 9 cars in front of me. Well done!

Definitely a terrible place to choose for service. Untrained and extremely dishonest employees here. Took my vehicle for a tire patch, was told they couldn’t patch the tire but did find a nail in another tire which is totally bs. When I asked how much I owe they said nothing. That’s because they didn’t find a nail in any other tire so there was nothing to charge for. The guy lied right to my face about the “nail” in a tire he “found.” I’m constantly checking my tires for nail or any abnormalities so I knew there was nothing he found. There was no patch done nor a plug installed so he was blatantly lying. Place is a joke and the staff needs training.

Went there for a Car Show today and had a great time with some old friends. My Jeep ended up winning Best in Domestic and won a trophy. I was in the market for some new tires and a new thermostat for my wife’s Mazda 3 and had them do the work for me. Angel and Erik the managers gave me a great deal on all the work we had done. Really friendly management and staff! They earned my business as a lifetime customer. Thx fellas!

Called an hour ago to ask about a service, specifically asked if I should make an appointment, guy said no, just come in. I came in, 1 hour after calling and the guy that I talked to in the store (not the one when I called) asked if I could leave it overnight because they had a short day. The guy over the phone said it would be about 2 1/2 hours. Not overnight. And just insisted that I leave it or bring it tomorrow when this is my only day off. Why wouldnt they say that over the phone?

They need to update their hours of service online.

One of the guys kept trying to upsell my mom and I. Came for new tires yet he suggested we replace the breaks but I know there is nothing wrong with the breaks. Also, he suggested an oil change.. But I just had an oil change. Tried to outsmart us by saying we need one but again I JUST GOT AN OIL CHANGE 2 MONTHS AGO. Lol

Amazing staff all around. Came in with a myriad of problems off a tow truck late in the evening and they were all so helpful and got me out of there and on the road by close. Jude at the front desk was absolutely delightful and made sure I was taken care of. I believe the mechanic was Thomas who went above and beyond to help me. I even drove 45 minutes to go back the next day to have the other issues on my car taken care of. Extremely professional and delightful experience despite the annoyance of having car trouble. Well my friend had work done on his truck and the work was done in a timely fashionHe was satisfied.. He actually lives very close.. I did walk the store and there was ample product and they were fronted. Store has a good open floor plan and there was.not any stock on the floor.. We are pool techs and were on our way.. Wow. I have been experiencing series of unfortunate events as someone keep slashing my tires... I came here a few weeks ago Just to get some pricing on tires which I expected to be extremely expensive... and I was helped promptly, employees really took care of me, Heard me out and gave me great pricing on a great tire. Unfortunately 2 weeks later my tire was slashed again... I came back in hoping for the same customer service if i explained my situation... only to have it even better I was promptly greeted and taken care of. Employees recognized me and took the time to hear me out providing extra customer service that is rare to find. Employee immediately got his manager for me, I didnt even request the manager he immediately recognized the situation! Fantastic manager, Excellent employees...Really helped me, speedy service awesome customer care you dont find this anymore... thank you excellent team!!!

Absolute joke of an automotive store. No knowledgeable staff that speaks English, rarely has what you need and closed before their scheduled time while you got four-eyes walking around texting in his phone. No wonder this location is going out of business.

When it comes to amazing auto services, Pep Boys is the place to go, especially their Davie location. I went in for an oil change, and one employee named Vladimir provided me with just that at a reasonable price. He also told some humorous stories to help pass the time, free of charge. The only real complaint I have is the lack of adequate ventilation in the building, which can be kinda dangerous here in the Sunshine State. But aside from that, total perfection.

Amazing experience thanks to Vladimir! Woke up to an air bubble AND nail on two separate tires and was able to immediately bring it in for fixing. He made sure I was taken care of and definitely made the experience bearable. Grateful for Vladimir and everyone at Pep Boys in Davie! I highly recommend them.

I have been going to pep boys on Stirling road for a long time and it’s always a good experience. Today I went to this pep boys and they were slammed and told me it was going to take 3 hours to install one tire. Okay. No big deal. But it was just the attitude of the employees that surprised me. Not just toward me as a customer but towards each other! You could cut the tension with a knife.. blatantly disrespecting each other. I saw literally a handful of different interactions that were snarky and mean. I just felt very bad for them. I thought to myself as I left wow what a toxic work environment... must be miserable to be there all day. But at the end of the day the service was completed so they get 2 stars

Danny Diaz was very informative and professional. I was having some “misfire” problems with my car and Danny showed me what needed to be done and why it was misfiring, while the bmw dealer price was double I was able to get my car fixed at a great price. Excellent service on the front counter aswell. feels great to know my car is in good hands. My car is driving perfect. will definitely come back to this pepboys.

I wish I can give negative stars for this horrible place. My friend and I went there to get the quotation for her starter replacement. We left our car there and asked them to call us with the quotation. After an hour we received a call with the price and we werent satisfied with the price, so we went there to get our car back and guess what, the car did not turn on. When we dropped off the car, it was turning on and battery indication light was not showing up. No idea what they did with the car, but it wasnt turning on and battery light started showing up. When we asked for reasons, they were like your car is not turning on so you have 2 options; get it towed or get it fixed here. They talked to us so down especially Kevin and Thomas. We felt so insecure and and they coned us thinking we are women and wouldnt be able to do anything at night other than getting it fixed there. We had to get it fixed there since we are new to the area and had to go to work next morning. We felt trapped. We would never return to this place and dont recommend anybody especially if you are a woman and do not know much about car stuff.

Great service every time. You may have to wait awhile to get your car serviced but it comes with the territory. Manager Ernesto was especially kind to me when I had a situation where my credit card had been used (AT THE BANK) and my card was suspended or whatever you call it.My car was done but..card declined and I couldnt get in touch with my bank! I panicked and this gentleman was so kind to me. I left with my car and a face full of grateful tears. It was all worked out but never once was I treated poorly, which I could have been. Theyve earned my business from now on.

My experience here last month was fenomenal. I was in and out in a timely manner. The manager Eric Alvarez took very good care of me. The whole staff was great. Danny the mechanic was excellent in explaining me what was going on with my car. My car is driving perfect now. No more check engine light your the man Danny.

Is there a ZERO stars? Do not under any circumstance take your vehicle to the mechanics. Brought my vehicle in for a simple oil change. The attendant poured oil all over the engine area and said I had a leak!! Immediately took my car to my honest mechanic and we opened the hood together. I was literally shocked that someone would lie and deliberately pour oil all over my car. Disgusting...was contacted by upper management and refused any future service from them.

The service department does a great job and their rates, while not always the lowest, are fair for the quality of work and assurance you get for it. Overall, a great place to take your car to get serviced and one I recommend to everyone I know.

Terrible service had an appointment at 9am when they opened for an oil change nothing else. Car didn’t get into the bays till 10:15 after several car had been brought in before it. The the mechanic tells me whoever did the last oil change stripped the oil pan bolt (which was this location Davie). The mechanic looked at like I was nuts when I told him this. The mechanics have no clue what they are doing, they run around like chickens with their heads cut off from car to car and all work stops and everyone converges on one car or piece of equipment if someone can’t figure out what to do... After everything was said and done I didn’t get my car back till 11am....I will not be returning to this location until they get competent mechanics to do the work.

I keep forgetting this Pep boys location. Its so obscure. But when i have been there, the staff is extremely polite. Just yesterday i went into research tires for a lady friend who has been having difficulty finding small tires. Richard was very helpful and i will forward his offer to her.

A few weeks ago I was traveling when my Brakes went metal to metal and I did not have the tools to do it myself. I stopped in at this Pep Boys because it was close to the Hotel I was staying at. I had them do a complete brake job. Fair price, very quick service. They repaired my truck while I waited. Service was Great and they did not try to sell me anything I did not need. Its rare to have such a great customer service experience. pulled up right at closing time with a dead battery and one of the mechanics quickly came out and checked my battery (dead) and replaced it for us on the spot, working past their closing time because he didnt want to see us get stranded. To my surprise, the mechanics were also helping others past closing with similar issues... all this after We had just come from an Advance Autoparts store across the street that refused to help us that close to closing time. Service is great but when they recommended a rear brake pad replacement when my brake pads are almost new, thats when I knew I was dealing with a bunch of crooks. The icing on the cake was when they told me I needed a new ac compressor (they had a free ac inspection offer, which I took advantage of for the heck of it because S FL summers are brutal). I did not, and still do not need a new compressor. They literally pull things from their rear in terms of repairs that you need for your car especially if you have them do an inspection. I bought a 3 year alignment package with them so Im stuck with patronizing them a while longer. Had I known the extent of their crookedness Id have never done business with them.

Recently bought an older model Toyota tacoma, I had new tires put on in the evening at Pep Boys, because it was too late for most other tire places and the tires on the truck were so bad I was afraid I would not make it home, plus a sign in the window said buy 3 tires get one free. They claimed they had only one brand in the size I needed size i needed. That cheaper brand did not offer the buy 3 get one free. I had no choice but to pay for all 4. There was no spare so I finally found a rim that works so I returned yesterday to have the same brand tire installed. They said 4 cars were ahead of me and it would be 3 to 4 hours I had to wait. They said there was one tire in the store. I walked to buy lunch and walked around the plaza returning 2.5 hours later. A short time later my truck was brought in and I watched as they were putting a different brand tire on. Then the dept manager called me over saying they could not find the right brand that matched my other tires. I want to rotate the spare with the other tires at rotation time so he ordered the right brand for me from another location and said to come in today at 10 AM. I called at 10 and was told it did not arrive yet and they would call as soon as it did. I called back an hour later only to be told it was not shipped because the warehouse did not have the tire. Now they say they will find it at another store and they will have it around 4:30 PM today. I asked to speak the dept manager, but not in today, asked for the store manager, again not in today. Worst run store ever. Worst run company ever!

If I had read the reviews on Yelp, I never would have taken my car there today for an oil change. I brought my car in today for a full synthetic oil change. They did not check the fluids and tire pressure. How do I know? Both of my sensors were still on as I was driving away. I had checked the air pressure a few days ago and all 4 tires were at 30psi. I left and went to the gas station next door and spent more money to fill my tires. Coincidentally, all 4 tires were still at 30psi. They didnt check my windshield wiper fluid either because that sensor was still on. Who knows if they even rotated my tires? After reading that last review I just checked my oil and it is clear so my oil was changed. Just dont know if they put synthetic in. That was my first time back to Pep Boys in 7 yrs. I had some service issues in the past but figured I would give them another try. NEVER again! If the reviews are any indication, that explains why they never seem to be busy at this location. If you cant trust the people you do business with, go somewhere else.Remove review

Easy and quick shopping experience. The new manager, Angel, does his name justice, because he was such an angel and super helpful. More than 7 years since Ive been back to this Pep Boys, and Im happy to say, that the service is still just as excellent as it was several years ago.

They lost my wheel locks and told me it was my fault. Jose is worthless. Never take your vehicle here.

Very disappointed. I made an appointment online. They couldnt find. After I left I received any email stating I missed my appointment. I just needed an oil change. They insisted I could only get a full synthetic oil change for $85. I am very busy and this was the only day I could get an oil change done. I replaced my windshield wipers myself a few days earlier... They told me I needed windshield wipers.

This place sucks the guy shined the light under the car for five min then come back with $800 bill saying ever seal is leaking he didnt even test it ...just a glance I watched them work on it the whole time if u call that work I call it a rip off I wouldnt recommend this to nobody I even argue nicely with the guy they didnt do anything! so he told me to leave n when I went to leave my car mysterious didnt work and wouldnt turn on an the mechanic the expert wont be n expert unless u pay there outrages rip off make believe charges for stuff that dont even need fixing .. Ridiculously slow and not helpful. Why bother making an appointment if youre still going to have to wait an hour before work begins on your car? Also, it wouldnt kill them to be courteous to a customer trying to get a time estimate on their car. Definitely picking a different location in the future.

Needed a new battery and not only were they open during Labor Day, but they did it for cheap and were done in 20 mins. Very repectful and nice the whole time. Will definitely be back if i ever need something else for my car.

Awesome customer service from the sales staff and all the mechanics that helped me with my car were very knowledgeable and willing to assist. Richard was the name of the sales associate that went above and beyond to help me and the mechanic Tom couldnt have been any nicer. I got an oil change and was worried about my tires, Tom and Richard took the time to inspect them for any holes, checked the tire pressure and even rotated my tires for free. These boys didnt have to do that for me and because of them Ill definitely come back.

Called ahead to ask if they could install a light bulb in the back tail light. They said no problem come in and buy it and it will take 15 min to install. When I came in with my car they said oh it will take easily 2 hours and will cost you money for the bulb plus installation fee. There was absolutely no other customers there. Drove over to Jiffy lube across the street and they did it in 5 minutes and charged $10 total. Go to Jiffy Lube instead. This place is horrible.

Wish there was a way to not put any stars and write a review because no star is deserved. This place is horrendous. I had tires shipped there by Amazon who I’m going to inform of how they run their operation. Called 3 times before my appt to install and was always told they couldn’t find the tires. And when I went for the appt Jean kept telling me that amazon and ups always say they deliver and didn’t. I asked how was that possible when their tracking showed the names of employees signing off on the delivery. A mgr Aziza signed off on one then told me he didn’t recall that. Then he blew me off to go help someone else, caring less that they couldn’t find the tires. After I got really upset with them is when the tires were finally found. I just took the tires somewhere else to install them. Really horrible experience I have to say.

Terrible experience. I had an appointment for 10AM to get an oil change. Waited for 2 hours and when I came back, they hadn’t even moved the car. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else.

The first time I went, I was picking up a few tools to work on a car. The guy behind the desk was adamant that the tools I was buying wouldnt be correct, yet I knew for a fact that they were. He almost refused to sell them to me and I got fed up and went to Home Depot for them instead, bought a better set for less money. However, I went back here for some more equipment that I forgot that Home Depot didnt have, there was a new guy there who it was his first day there yet very knowledgeable. The first guy made me angry just interacting with him, new guy was pleasant

It was 7:00 at night and dark out. My car wouldnt start. I got a jump from a friend and. Was able to drive straight to the PepBoys in Davie. They replaced my battery right away and even brought to my attention that my radiator overflow cap was missing. I forgotten that it had been missing and the mechanic explained the importance of the cap from debris getting in the radiator. They didnt have a cap in stock but was able to help with a temporary solution until the next day I can locate a cap.

Staff is lazy. It seems no one work in the store. There is no one in the service desk for 10 minutes. Second day, oil change appointment. Guy at the service desk said it will take 45 min. After 1 hour 15 min my car still on parking lot and looks like it will take them another hour. Work was done well. Matthew is a great guy.

Ive been taking my whole households cars here for 10-15 years and theyve usually been fine, but my recent visit was inexcusable and has tainted this company and location for me. I went there for some tire repairs and opted for the complimentary break inspection. They gave me the report and told me I needed all breaks replaced. I decided to have my dad do them for me instead, only to find out when the tires were off that Pep Boys wrote down FALSE measurements for all of my breaks, with my rears being nearly new. The associates were uncharacteristically rude as well. I am very disappointed that I received lies from this establishment that I have already been a long-time loyal customer at.

Pep Boys-Davie maintain a few of my vehicles, they are very reasonably priced and the mechanics do the work that is asked. They are always extremely busy, so having an appointment is helpful. Bob the service manager is very attentive to my familys needs, so much so that we followed him from another Pep Boys to the Davie location.

Kept me on the phone for over 30 minutes. Manager never came on the phone and the person that answered the phone seemed completely clueless. Corporate needs to re-train these folks.
