Nostalgic and cathartic! Those words sound extreme for a humble coffee shop like Pachamama Davis but Im not kidding. I used to go to the original Pachamama Davis during my undergrad years when it was sharing the building with the art gallery. I was introduced to great coffee there and studied there all the time. When Pachamama decided not to renew the lease at the art gallery, I was quite devastated. Though Temple Coffee on G street was established at the time, I thought the coffee at Pachamama to be superior. I graduated, moved a couple times, and years later I saw on the Pachamama Instagram page that they will be coming back to Davis! To come back here after all this time was quite meaningful to me. I got a Guatemala pour over (like the good ol days) and it really DID NOT DISAPPOINT. All the memories of my undergrad years flooded back. Their pour overs (Im not much of an espresso guy) is probably some of the best pour overs Ive ever had. And their bean quality is seriously top-notch. I cannot recommend this place enough for their quality of coffee! The interior is quite, as you can see from the pictures, and has some decent seating to study or read. Wish I could have stayed here longer but nevertheless loved the experience!
Coffee at Pachamama is made with attention to detail! The baristas here make amazing drinks, lattes are made just perfect. I highly recommend Pachamama to anyone passing by. The inside seating is quite nice with plenty of outlets, and the outside seating is nice with plenty going on in the vicinity. Keep up the good coffee making!
Great little coffee shop with different and unique offerings. I tried a peaches & cream cold brew (sounds weird but was a great summer drink! ) next time I want to try the coconut vanilla! They also had a good deal on bulk coffee to take home. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Good coffee. Wonderful service. Nice atmosphere
Good vibe from the employees. Had a random conversation emerge which is always nice. Had the matcha strawberry drink and it was very good.
The staff is so friendly and the coffee is awesome. Seems like a delightful place to relax or study. I absolutely love the summer strawberry matcha drink. Ill also take a cup of their delicious black coffee any day. Check them out.
Easily the best tasting coffee in town. This shop in particular has very attentive and courteous staff working behind the counter. If I can have my druthers, more often than not, I go to Pachamama.
Great tasting coffee. Cold brew is also good. Service staff is friendly.
Great quality coffee. Prices are average for boutique quality. Friendly, well-executed. Ive only had their dark roast black coffee and had a nice profile, good body, clean finish. Im told the espresso drinks pack a punch!
Thanks Zoe! The Maple Brulee was bombbbbb
Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, plus money goes to the right people
It is impossible to reach this business! Unless you go there in person. Parking in Davis often extremely difficult. Staff very helpful once inside store. Coffee ok but doesnt provide much oomph or punch. Sadly, experienced stalwart coffee drinkers may be disappointed. Prices in same range as most coffee shops. Munchies are missing. Some outside seating.
Very clean & quaint place... I think medium iced coffee for $8 is too expensive.

About a 1 minute walk from the train station, a great place to stop on the way in or out of Davis!~ Final Review ~⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love the fact that they dont charge extra for almond or oat milk :)
Coffee and Service doesnt get any better than at Pachamama. Servers almost always remember individual preferences. This is a class act.
A gem of coffee house. If you like a punch or a good kick too your java cuz ur regular coffee chain doesnt pack enough punch too your morning joe anymore? Look NO further. This coffee not only tastes devine but definitely has that nuanced caffeine profile we all search for at our favorite coffee houses!!!! Be careful too much of this good stuff will put hair on your chest- its that good. Put on ur flip flops and shorts...soak up all this coffee house is brewing up!!😂 😂
I was so excited Pachamama re-opened in Davis! The coffee here always hits the spot. They run a 5 pounds for $50 deal occasionally as well which is such a steal. Be sure to sign up for their rewards system at the till for email offers!
1. AMAZING coffee. Ill start off by saying that this coffee was super smooth and high quality. I downed this coffee in like 2 minutes, it was that good. (Vanilla Latte for reference)2. The price had my eyebrows raising because $6 for a 12oz vanilla latte was excessive in my opinion (then of course a $2 tip)3. The employees need an informational course on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) service animals and service animal laws in the restaurant. This was a difficult instance.
Great looking shop, great concept, amazing chai latte. This is definitely a boutique coffee shop at its best.
Their coffee is amazing, I highly recommend.
The Ethopian drip was an arm an a leg but absolutely no bitterness. Chew on a bean to check it out first. I love the Coop model!
Love this place! Love that it sells organic coffee.
Clean, bright, pretty place, friendly, organic coffee was delicious. Especially liked the salted maple latte
Wonderful coffee and service. I got the papa chai on almond milk and wintermint mocha on almond milk aswell. Looking forward to going back.
Unique blends and great people.
Horrible service felt very hostile. they chose to not give me coffee until late even though I told them Im in a rush I gave them a tip and they made me feel so uncomfortable. Worst coffee experience I have felt in Davis.
Great coffee and new location
I want to start off by saying that my previous experiences at Pachama in Sacramento, at the farmers market, and the old Davis location (the one that closed a couple years ago) have always been amazing, and the coffee was always the best each time. I was super stoked when I found out Pachama was reopening in Davis. The first time I went to the new location in Davis I ordered the iced Lavender latte and it was pretty good! The staff was really helpful and friendly as well. The second time I went to this location I ordered the same thing because I liked it the first time around, but this time it was not good. It’s tasted watery and you couldn’t really taste the lavender. It didn’t taste like it did the first time I had it. I asked the barista to add more lavender and it tasted okay. My friend ordered the same thing and hers was not good either, she asked for more lavender too. My other friend ordered a shot of espresso and her shot of espresso tasted really off. I’ve had espresso previously at the other location in Sacramento and the espresso was always very smooth and honestly really good.I’m not leaving this review just to leave a bad review. I truly love the Pachama brand and I love their core values and usually really love their coffee. Im leaving this review as genuine feedback so hopefully the necessary tweaks can be made (and the Pachama name can be restored in Davis! - just kidding, just being a dramatic 😂)I want to give the new Davis store the benefit of the doubt because they opened the new store during all the craziness with Covid, so I’m sure training the new employees and overall just opening a new store during this time was really difficult. I will definitely give this store a try again, and hope the Davis community does too. Welcome back Pachama Davis we’re here to support you! 😊
Amazing Coffee, and Customer Service
You should let people walk in with their dogs. I had mine (a puppy) in my arms and was asked to leave. There was no one else in the store and I was not going to sit inside. You guys are way too up-tight.
Best coffee in Davis. And, they have a nice art gallery attached.I like to read the descriptions of the coffee farms.
Excellent. Farmer owned coffee shop. Very friendly staff and great coffee selection.
Very personable and informative.Willing to match my pallette with their product line.
Possibly the best cup of black coffee Ive ever had.
Ive only been here once, and the espresso was almost 3 stars (I review only espresso). It has a great atmosphere, and I look forward to coming again.
Cool friendly spot with pour over coffee and an art
Great coffee and beautiful storytelling on their mission to work with farmers. Friendly staff.
Great place to study and for coffee!!!
Excellent coffee.
Best cafe in downtown Davis
Try the cortado
Very good and rich coffee.
