The first few years I got my glasses in the Davis Kaiser Permenanete optical department was fine but recently the service went down hill. This year I gave them my glasses frame to get the lenses replaced. The lenses arrived there office 2 weeks later larger than the frame can accommodate. Then I gave them my frames to fit them with right size lenses and mail the whole thing to my home. The wrong frame and lenses arrived my home a month later.

Worst place ever they told me my glasses would be one price and charged my card WAY more than that saying they added a few things to the glasses when they never asked me. The big guy Michael ruined my glasses when he bent them because I told them they were sliding down my nose and was in a hurry to attend me like he did not want me there. I ended up having them fixed at another place. WORST customer service ever experienced.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. My son went to this dentist back in June and had a vision exam, picked out glasses and gave them all of the vision insurance information. They then collected over $400 from him! What! They still havent submitted a claim to BCBS! Very suspect! I asked how my son is supposed to get reimbursed and the receptionist said that if there is payment left over after collecting from the insurance company then they will issue a check to my son. I have never in my life heard of a place doing business like this.

Dr. Suzuki was awesome! She spent so much time with me talking about my eyes and the future I need to be aware of in regards to my health. Did a bunch of tests and explained them all to me. Made me feel very confident in my exam and my health. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone. Phenomenal place all around!

Dr. Suzuki and Dr. Busby are great eye doctors. Have been a patient of theirs for over 22 years. They are informative and provide great care. Their entire staff is always cheerful and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them both for any of your eye care needs.

Unfortunately beware of hidden charges not covered by VSP insurance or disclosed by the office receptionist nor the doctor. During the preliminaryservices, the receptionist performed a vision check and a retina image procedure. I was not given a choice, nor told that this retinal image procedure incurs and additional cost of $35 until the billing. I have been told by other eye doctors that this is an unprofessional gimmick used to increase income and have noted this subterfuge to VSP which should warn its members. I will not frequent this office again....

Love the doctors here. They are not the problem. I have been going to Dr.Busby for ten years now. I feel sad that Im going to change because of the staff that work on the floor and at the front desk. I have been rudely spoken to over the phone, I have been hung up on, and its been a hassle trying to get my prescription emailed to me.

Great time talking to Dr. Suzuki about my needs and options as a person with aging eyes. Would highly recommend anyone to visit and talk with her! Its definitely not one of those get you out the door ASAP type offices.

My wife and I visit Dr. Suzuki each year for eye exam and glasses. She is very thorough in her exam, and she uses the latest in eye examination equipment. Dr. Suzuki is always cheerful and upbeat. The staff at Davis Optometry are very friendly, and help you pick out the right lenses and frames. After your visit, you can walk over to Nuggets for a smoothie.

Staff and doctors are very nice, I was able to schedule appointments at convenient times for me and received the exams, contacts, and glasses I needed. No hassles regarding insurance, I only take care of co-pays. Parking on site is very convenient.Ive been going to Dr. Busby with my two kids since 1994 - he and Dr. Suzuki are great with kids, too! Although my kids were nervous at first (and I was, too!), their first experience at 6 & 7 years old was fun. Dr. Busby took the time to get to know them and related to them in a way that made them feel at ease. My kids are adults now and live out of state, but still order their contacts from Davis Optometry!

I see Dr Suzuki. I have known Jo Anne personally for many years. She is a great person, very professional and competent in her work. My vision needs are always met with glasses and very specialized contact lenses. The office personnel are also very prompt and follow up well with reminders, incoming orders, etc. I would go no where else.Rod

Dr. Busby gave me a comprehensive eye exam. He took his time as if I was his only patient. This is rare today. The doctor has a sure and gentle touch and a sense of humor. Also rare today. His staff was pleasant and helpful: They gave me a speedy appointment time and helped me choose frames. I highly recommend Davis Optometry Group because they made me feel so special.

Dr. Busby and his staff did a quick and efficient job of my annual refraction review and an order for my new specs. Hes a charming guy and recalls all the eccentricities of my eyes from the many years weve been doing business together. The staff is equally friendly and helpful.

I absolutely love the Doctor here!!! Shes very thorough and isnt there to simply fit you up with better vision. She is more interested in addressing the reason for your visual impairment.

I love this place! I appreciate the fact that I can schedule appointments for Saturday, since it is very tough for me to take time off of work from Monday through Friday. EVERYBODY is very helpful and friendly here. The receptionist, the assistant, the optometrist, and the guy who helped me pick my glasses were all very nice.

Dr. Busby has been by optometrist ever since I needed to get reading glasses and I have been very happy with the service and results. When I lost my glasses once they had a new pair in days and covered fully by the warranty.My wife loves Dr. Suzuki and is always happy with her experience and the prescription and choice of styles.

Dr. Suzuki was great with my 3.5 year old in terms of making him feel comfortable and getting quite a bit of information out of him during his eye exam, even though he couldnt sit still for very long. She gave me practical tips on looking for signs that he might need glasses at some point. And she was great as always with my exam.

Called for appointment just now, the lady answering the phone will not schedule an appointment without me providing my date of birth, SSN and full name over the phone, when I said I was uncomfortable giving all that information over the phone, but I do have VSP through my employer, I was told rudely she will not schedule an appointment for me if she is not granted full access to my insurance information ahead of time. I asked if a person without insurance would like an appointment, what would be the procedure, I was told without insurance, you would get an appointment and pay out of pocket when you are there. What sense does this make?? Refuses business from a client with insurance, but would make an appointment for someone without?

My experience here was wonderful. The front desk receptionist is compassionate, understanding, and patient. And Dr. Suzuki put me right at ease with her laid back, fun, and engaging personality. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Suzuki is a great optometrist. She spends a great deal of time with her patients and doesnt rush the exam. I am usually able to schedule appointments within a few days of calling. They have a good selection of glasses to choose from.

I always enjoy my appointments with Dr. Suzuki. It was quick and easy, but always thorough. What is really nice is that my husband and I can go in together and we usually take less time than usual.

Two very pleasent, experienced, dedicated optometrists, an attentive staff and a great selection of eyeware. What else do you need?I have been Dr. Busbys patient for 20 years and he has always done an excellent job. His expertise caught another health issue before my regular doctors were aware of the condition. The eyes are a window to your health is his philosophy.Dr Suzuki, in Dr. Busbys absence, during an emergency situation in which I thought I had dislodged my retina, got me in her exam room within an hour to examine me. This is service in my opinion which shows great responsibilty toward their clients and their profession.

Dr. Busby is very knowledgable and friendly!Updated Review:The optimists are both friendly but the office staff doesn’t follow through.I went in on March 3rd for my original fitting for glasses and was told I would receive a follow up call for the price, at this time I let the office staff know I would need an itemized bill to receive a reimbursement through my work. Never received a call.I called on March 23rd for an update and didn’t receive a follow up call back, so I called again on the 24th and found out they never ordered my glasses when I asked about the price. When I paid them I asked for an itemized bill and was told I would be able to receive one when I picked up my glasses.I called on April 20th for a status update on my glasses and was told that they were in, but the woman who makes the appointments had left for the day and I would receive a call the next day. Never received a call. I called back on the 22nd and was told to come in. When I asked for the itemized bill, I was told they would email it to me.On April 30th I called to see if they had the bill yet and it still wasn’t ready. On May 3rd I received my first call back after yelling at the office manager and a promise of a bill later in the day. Being a complete a**hole shouldn’t be the only way to get a response from a business.

Davis Optometry is the best in town from the optometrists to the staff. Everyone should use them.
