My wife and I was in there a couple of times this week to sell some old coins and jewelry we had. Michael gave us great prices for all that we had both times. He was very honest and took time to answer any questions that we had. Everything is done right in front of you and 100% honestly. We will be going back to them in the future. I love this place. By far the best local store to go to - and you get VERY GOOD prices (better than all the others). This is especially my experience when bringing in Silver or Gold Bullion - they give the highest prices. The owner talks and deals with you professionally. If you become a regular and build a relationship of trust you will see that it works well on both sides and everyone wins. Also great sounding music playing in the background LoL.

The guy that works here gave me a good deal on my coins that Ive been holding on to for years now had some value. I feel that I got the most money for them here

The gentleman behind the counter was very knowledgeable about all the different countries of coins i brought in. He was very helpful in explaining the coins themselves, and how the value of them fluctuates over time. He made us feel welcome, and upon the conclusion of our visit, also helped us with directions to another place.

As far as jewelry stores go this place is top of my list without a doubt. The jewelry is priced fairly, especially when compared to other jewelry stores/pain shops. I suggest dealing with the boss who will make fair offers when buying from you and will usually come down a little when selling to you. His #2 however will try to fleece you and act like hes doing yo a favor. To be fair everything I find distasteful about him is probably what makes hime the best choice for second in command. With that said, I regularly buy and sell at American Coin and Jewelry and can count on getting better prices than any other brick and mortar establishment.

After looking at different stores, I decided on this one. I arrived and was greeted well. They reviewed my products I wanted to sell and they both seemed very well versed in their experience with my products. I was happily surprised at the outcome. They both were very friendly and I will absolutely do business with them again.

This place give you better prices on your gold and silver then any other place around. Not a lot of people know about this place but that won’t last because this place treats you with respect and gives you top dollar on your gold and silver if you’re wanting to sell. They have great prices on all their jewelry and bullion compared to riches pawn shop which is A total rip off store that doesn’t treat their customers with respect and just totally lost all of their good customer service. American coin and jewelry is my number one place to go to when it comes to jewelry and bullion precious metals! WARNING: Do not go to riches pawn shop. You will regret it! Go to American coin and jewelry they are also better than Belmont coin shop! Try them out! You won’t be disappointed. Don’t take my word for it if you want take your precious metals into riches and see what they will give you then walk right down the street to American coin and jewelry and see how much more they will give you. They gave more every single time and that’s why I continue to go to them to this day.

I prefer to shop with Small Businesses not only because I’m a Small Business Owner, but because it’s a more personal feel. Mike the Owner, and Tony who’s always the first face I see, greeted me as if it hadn’t been nearly two years since I’d been to the store. I’ve sold many things there, some he most surely didn’t necessarily want or need but he could tell at the time that I needed it. I have always been grateful for that. Very recently, being back in a position to spend a few dollars, I thought of this shop to patronize first when looking for some jewelry. So many nice things were there, and the prices were so fair I think I spent triple what I had planned lol! It was all worth it though, and I can’t recommend them enough! I will be back very soon to find a nice ring to match my gorgeous bracelet! Thanks guys for everything!

They will buy and sell you items they are familiar with,but are not experienced in gold and precious metals,as I went there with quartz bearing large soft metal flake gold and granite bearing tons of tiny spec gold with a gram or so in a bag and without even opening anything I was told it was probably organic, then I was showed a gold backless and told thats what gold looks like when you find it not in the ground pr sand,moral felt jealousy envy,and lack of knowledge,unless you need to know what gold in the form of necklace looks like

Sold 80 Silver Eagles and 20 other MISC silver ounces here. Got $0.50 over spot for the eagles and -$1 for the MISC silver. Solid prices for the eagles(Since most give spot-+$1 spot these guys are in the mid-range in my opinion). Employee was friendly. Only thing I wish is Id got spot for the Maples since their more pure versus -$1 but Im overall satisfied with my sale :). Would recommend this company to sell to!

I took a pair of earrings to this guy to get the value and gain overall knowledge on them. Basically they are 18K with real rubies and they weigh 3gAccording to his scales they only weighed 2.2 grams... 3 out 4 all scales weighed them at 3g just kinda hard to do business with people when they under weigh your gold...But hey.. At least I learned a lil about my earrings (in all fairness) he may not know his scales are off by a gram? ;)

We were not sure where to sell our gold. We went to 5 different jewelers and Michael and Tony offered WELL above what any one else offered. The store has some really cool antique pieces and a great selection of coins. Strait forward and no bull, we will be back.

I like this place a lot... Ive never been able to sell him anything but hell gladly look at anything you have. He also let me just send him photos with my phone and he looked at the stuff and gave me an answer right away... Altogether Ive always had a very pleasant experience

Visiting the area on 12-14 from Ky with my wife and checked out the store. Nice but small collection of coins, currency and other antique items and recommend checking it out.Did end up spending some time there and buying a few pieces and found the young man there honest and more knowledgable than most clerks and will definately be back.My apologies to him for forgetting his name but i do remember he is an Iraq Vet. I am the owner of American Coin and Jewelry. I am only giving my own store 4 stars instead of 5 because there are always things here that can be improved. However, the only reason I am writing this review is to respond to two negative reviews that have been left within the last couple of weeks. I am not able to respond directly to the reviews yet, because I am waiting on Google to give me access to my account in order to do so. There are only two possible causes for the two reviews left. The first is that the two people who left them, who appear to be relatives, are mistaken about the place they went to and are leaving the negative reviews in the wrong place. The second possible cause for the reviews is that a competitor is attempting defamation. The ring that is pictured in Tonia Kittss review has never been seen by either me or my employee Tony. We are the only two people that work here. It is a very unique ring that was custom made, and if either of us would have ever seen it, we would DEFINITELY remember it. I can not tell exactly what size the two larger stones are in the ring, but if I had to guess, the larger stone is at least a half carat, possibly even a full carat solitaire. Neither one of us would have EVER seen that ring and called it Scrap metal, as is claimed in the review. I understand that people make mistakes, and this is why I believe that Tonia is mistaken about where she took her ring and posted her review in the wrong place. As far as the review by Bill Kitts, it is hard to understand exactly what the situation was that he is describing, but the gist of it is that he had a negative experience in a store involving purchasing silver. We have many, many repeat customers that come here to buy silver, and I have never had any experience here in my store such as the one described in the review.Here at our store, we are here to make money. However, we will always be honest. I would rather lose a deal than to compromise my integrity or the integrity of my business to make a few bucks.
