I am very dissatisfied with the service that I received at the store today I understand that there’s a pandemic going on the package and said that there was a drawstring ponytail inside I get home there is no drawstring ponytail it’s only a clip No drawstring I call the store they tell me they cannot return or exchange because of the pandemic which is fine by me but what I’m asking is as a loyal customer you cannot confiscate me due to the fact that your package you say it’s a drawstring but it was a clip so now you want me to come in and re-pay For a package here yeah no I will no longer shop there

I wish I could put 0 stars. This is the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. The Russian lady screamed at my family when we asked for assistance looking for products. She refused to help or answer questions. After purchasing the wrong product, because of the lack of customer service. We asked to exchange and we were yelled at again and accused of opening products in the store (which we never did). Terrible customer service, nasty attitude, and clearly someone who hates their job. Will never return, and urge you to spend your money elsewhere. Horrible experience!

Today I was in there getting all my products. I almost tripped over the vacuum cord because it was just sitting in the walk way. The lady that’s always in there told her co worker to move the cord if someone falls (liability). Then he procedure to say “well what does it matter if it’s a big or small cord” which make no sense but whatever. I told him the cord wasnt small and it doesn’t matter it needed to be moved. He proceeded to get smart, as the lady rang my items up I told her I don’t want to purchase them because the service is terrible. He said “good get out” lol yeah I’ll never shop here again. And to my fellow black community I advise you not to shop their either. They want our money but don’t care about providing good customer service, or even fair customer service. Ive been going there for about 2 years since I relocated to Dayton, and never had an issue until today. I took and will continue to take my business to princess Beauty Supply. And I’m gone make sure to tell everyone to NEVER go there.

I will contact the BBB as well as my local community action agency reference the racist that run this store. A Male of Chinese origin left the register and started yelling in my face because I didnt want his help. It was a match for sure and he would have been hurt if I had something to protect myself.

Terrible service. Owner was extremely rude to my 3 year old son and myself. I will never go back there again and I would encourage anyone in the community that values their money to do the same.

Hello everyone,First off Id like to say that the HUGE complaint Im about to speak on has Nothing to do with the woman and child in the picture. Now, with that said, a little while back I visited this Hair Gold store to look for a product that I was having a really difficult time locating at other stores. While I was there, I noticed alot of products that were new to me, so, I feel like if Im going to put this in my hair, I want to know what kind of texture it has and how it smells. Now, I understand that there are alot of ignorant people out there that go and dip their finger in and stupid stuff like that. Hell, Ive even bought products that were like that. But on that day my focus was to innocently inspect new and different things. Along with the asian woman in the picture was another worker there this day. I spend alot of money doing my own hair, trying new products and spreading information about those products. First, I noticed that I was being watched, but unfortunately, when youre a certain complexion you expect that. I began to see alot of products that were leaking and alot of products where the wording on the packaging was fading away. I finally asked the white worker (though she was not ethically from the U.S.) about how often they rotate their stock. But she didnt want to answer that question. Instead she began to badger me about inspecting the items, opening every other product. I like to maintain my calm character @ all cost, so I let her lose her cool by herself even though she began to speak down to me. The asian woman NEVER said a word the whole time..... even when she became beligerant and started putting me out of the store. She made racist rants insinuating that I was trying to steal something as opposed to examining the hair products because that is what we ALL do. I left after I said with a smile that I was not someone who could be intimidated. I also told her to expect a viral backlash. There are many other Beauty Supply stores in Dayton, Oh, so I will be spending my dineros elsewhere. Unfortunately this was not the first time I felt those vibes there, but the store was just conveniant to run in. Not anymore. I will go the extra miles, if only for respect and dignity.Love Life. ... its too, too, way too SHORT 🗽💟

PLEASE SHARE............ Sooooo, the other day my son went to Hair Gold on Salem to get a Do Rag for his waves. When I came home he said Mommy my Do Rag cost $1.75 I gave the man $2.00 and he said I owed him 2 cents. I asked him for his receipt he said he threw it away, so my response was It must have cost more and left it alone.But it still lingered in the back of my head. I usually dont shop at these stores because they already assume EVERYBODY is a thief, and I dont like being watched while I shop. But I wanted to see if what my son said was true. So I bought an item that cost $1.89, and to my AMAZEMENT there was an additional .25 cent charge on my receipt. So I asked the man behind the counter what was the extra charge? He said We charge an additional .25 cents for Any purchase under $2.00. NOW WAIT A MINUTE!!!! I asked how can you charge and additional .25 cents AND charge tax on it? His response was This is what we decided to do. He said you are Crazy you are questioning a Quarter. I said its not about the quarter this has to be illegal, his response was SUE ME!!! How is this possible? Does anyone know who I can report this to. Its not about the QUARTER its about what they think they can get away with in Certain Communities.
