I just had surgery less than a week ago and my doctor called me in a new prescription at 3 o’clock and I get there 15 minutes till close and the pharmacist answers the window and tells me that my prescription isn’t ready and that I’ll have to come and get it tomorrow because he’s been the only one there since 5 o’clock today. Couldn’t even guarantee that it would be finished early tomorrow. What kind of business are you running? Obviously there’s an internal problem otherwise you guys would be fully staffed. You cannot expect 1-2 people to do a 4-5 person job and expect to keep clients. I’m moving all my Prescriptions to another pharmacy tomorrow because I have a literally been with Rite Aid for less than three months and I have continually had problems at this location. You guys better get your act together or you will no longer have a store there because nobody is going to want to continually put up with this kind of impropercustomer service.I feel sorry for the people that don’t have a choice but to go to you guys because they don’t have a car like I do to go anywhere else. There is no excuse for this type of business.

The only review I’ve ever left. Feel so bad for the poor staff here. Can’t believe corporations do this to hardworking employees. Took my wife for a covid vaccine on a Saturday. Showed up 15 minutes before our appointment. It felt like we walked into a concert hall. At least 30 people crowded the pharmacy yelling at the ONLY 2 employees in the pharmacy. We hesitantly approached the line where it looked like a young male pharmacist was assisting the 4 people in front of us (people were screaming at him over the other vaccine goers). The phone was ringing continuously, it never stopped the whole time we were there—and we were there for quite awhile. We watched as the pharmacist bounced between every window in the large pharmacy at a light jog to do what looked like the work of 6 people. We finally got to the window and the poor guy looked completely defeated, and asked us nicely to bear with him, he was working as fast as he could to get to everyone. The other person working, a sweet older lady had to apologize to every single person that came up saying their prescriptions were not ready, because the pharmacist still had to check them and she couldn’t do anything until he did. We saw her in tears twice in the hour or more that we were there. When the pharmacist finally got us in the room (I’m really not sure even how he was able to tune out the noise and process her shot with all the criticism) he was sweating badly enough that I was actually kind of concerned for sanitation. When he leaned over to give the shot, sweat visibly landed on the table, and I don’t even think he realized it, but I could tell his day was going terribly bad so I didn’t say anything. Meanwhile he kept his composure and was completely genuine.Moral of the story. The upper management and entire corporation should be ashamed. This is unsafe to the public to have one person expected to do so much, while also filling (or not filling) prescriptions. I will be passing this info along to the regulatory agency for pharmacy as well.

Don’t expect for your appointment times to be honored. Apparently its just a made up number. Supposed to get a covid test other day but end up just leaving after an over an hour of waiting. If you are going to let customers make appointment you better have a worker dedicated to that service or don’t offer it at all. How can you only have one person if you offer so many services? I came inside because the drive thru line was nearly closing the road. And only one person trying to do way too much. I told the guy I had an appointment 45 minutes ago for test and he said I’d have to go through the drive thru. SMH. I asked how long are you going to take to clear the drive thru and he said he is giving several vaccines, so eventually. What a joke.

Time to sell stock in rite aid. I think they’ve hit bottom. Regional sales leader traveling for work and I found myself in the hospital earlier this weekend, in Dayton. Closest pharmacy to my admit was a Rite Aid on woodman dr..if I could review more than one pharmacy at once I would..but hopefully this will find a place among ears. I called the store, no answer for over an hour, figure yeah they are probably busy, covid and all. So I discharge to my hotel and give em time. I call again and no answer. Showed up and only one lady older than me is working, no staff. And it takes 45 minutes for her to even talk to me because she’s giving a line of people shots. She tells me she won’t have time to do my scripts, maybe two days if they can’t staff, basically go somewhere else, try another rite aid.So I call one on linden ave, they answer after 30 minutes to say no new scripts for the day, covid shots, it’s like noon? So I call 3rd st location. No answer but I’m desperate at this point so I just drive there. No one is working in the pharmacy and long lines everywhere. One after another the pharmacist is calling people in for appointments just like the last place. I asked a patron in line how long he had been waiting and he says over an hour just to check out. Only one person working at three separate locations. Reason I write the review for this store is because it felt unsafe. Never even got to talk to someone here. I walked to the front just to ask a question and a lady in line snapped at me and told me if she didn’t hit the pharmacist she was going to hit me. Wonderful what your friendly neighborhood pharmacies have become. Fractured ribs and no pain meds all weekend.

Probably by no fault of their own the pharmacy is understaffed and extremely slow in filling prescription. I had ortho surgery and after getting out of hospital I went to the E.3rd location to get my pain medication it was 1pm. I asked them if they could fill it ASAP but they said it would be 5pm. I then called shortly before 5pm and was told it wouldnt be filled until the next day. I told them to give me my script back so I could take it to Krogers. Krogers filled it within an hour. Today I called to get a script filled and advised them I wanted a script by a specific doctor, they found it in system and said they would fill it. I go to pick it up only to see it was the wrong script. I called them and it was clear to me by their response that they knew they had not followed my request. That can be very dangerous and I am concerned about there ethicacy. I might also add that a few of their employees are not what one would call congenial which could probably be due to understaffing as well. I can tell you the male pharmacist was great. I will not use them when I have a pressing need. Getting them on the phone is very taxing and one time I couldve swore they hung up on me.

I have a 10 week old puppy, threw up all over my car. As I park I see two homeless people shooting heroin (I assume its heroin, something with a needle) which I found odd. As I walk in I was greeted by an angry associate manager that gos NO ANIMALS! And I explain I just need disinfectant wipes and she could even get them for me and I would pay her. She says no again. I tell her that she has people shooting heroin on the side of her building to which she replies thats not my business, get out. Morale of the story a small puppy (which I was carrying) is a bigger deal than heroin at the 3rd street rite aid

I am writing this message to complain about the EXTREMELY POOR customer service at the Rite Aid located at 2536 E 3rd Street, Dayton, OH. I have had multiple issues with this pharmacy mainly because they do not inform their customers if their prescriptions are ready! In the past Ive had to make multiple trips just to get my prescriptions! On Friday May 3, 2016 I called the pharmacy to make sure my refill was ready, it was not and the representative (who didnt identify herself) stated it would be ready in 30 minutes. I told her I would pick the prescription up after work, she said ok it would be ready. I wasnt able to get to the pharmacy Friday, but went Saturday May 4, 2016 around 6pm. The representative then told me, we didnt have it so we had to order it. I said, well no one called me to tell me. The representative then shrugged her shoulders and said well I wasnt here yesterday. Her only assistance was to tell me I could call the other Rite Aid pharmacys in Dayton, OH to see if they had the medication and they could fill it. Then she went on to tell me all the pharmacys are connected and are closed but I could call anyway. My spouse then spoke up and asked her since they are all connected cant she call or look it up. She was very reluctant and acted as if we were inconveniencing her! She walked away for maybe 1 minute and came back to tell us the only location that has it is the Linden location but they are closed. With am attitude she said, but you can go there in the morning and get it.I will NEVER use Rite Aid for anything again! The customer service was deplorable at the pharmacy and you would think she would work for the customer not continue to inconvenience me! I was inconvenienced by having to call to have to tell them to process my refill, then being misinformed that it would be ready and it was not. I was further inconvenienced by no one having the courtesy to call and inform me that my prescription had to be ordered and wouldnt be ready until the following week! But her attitude and lack of concern was the most disgusting part of my experience! I will not be referring anyone to go to this pharmacy, I will also be reporting this incident to my insurance, and any other social media sites because this CANNOT continue!

Do not use this pharmacy. Ever. I normally dont find bad reviews particularly believable or helpful but avoid this pharmacy if at all possible. Ive never had a good experience with this rite aid. Theyve given me the wrong medication dosage, theyve withheld giving me my medication for days on end as I had to wait for their unnecessarily long and cumbersome insurance review process. I always get a different answer depending on who I talk to and Im always made to feel like Im bothering the staff when I dare ask a question about anything. I gave them a chance I really did. Never again.

The staff at this pharmacy rite aid east third St east Dayton are the most rude unprofessional pharmacy I have ever been to. I have to go here while I live in this area which will only be a few more months. Do to no car no transportation. They are right up the street. Very unfortunate. There is one person there that is kind and the rest look at you like you have ruined there life coming to get your meds. I cant believe management lets this happen. Sickening
