My husband and I were on the market to purchase a new SUV. Weve owned Cadillacs previously and have fell in love with the brand. This is our first time visiting the Jeff Schmitt Auto Group in general. We were met with genuine, informative and patient customer service at the door. Our car buying process began with Mr. Cory Sexton. Even though the selection wasnt that big, he was still very thorough and was very eager to help us find what we wanted in a SUV. Due to the car chip shortage, Cory did provide us with many options to test drive. We were adorned with the 2020 Cadillac XT6. All of our wants and needs were met with this beauty of a car. The exceptional customer service did not stop on the show room floor, however it continued with our financing process as well. Mr. Morig McIntosh, is the finance manager, he assisted in getting us the best deal. He was friendly, knowledgeable and left out no detail when it came to our contract. With the pandemic and economic crisis currently engulfing the world we greatly appreciate him getting the deal we did. He treated us like family. We walked away elated with happiness that we found a car that we love but also were treated with love during the process. A wonderful experience that we will be telling all of our friends and family about. We will certainly be back at Jeff Schmitt for future purchasing.

I have brought my Cadillac XT5 there for years with no issues. Recently bought a 2012 CTS V. Took it there for an extended warranty issue for the supercharger. Service manager stated that there was nothing wrong with the supercharger, but the entire rear differential needed replaced for $4k.Took the car to an independent shop that confirmed the rear diff is fine, but the blower on the supercharger will need replaced soon. Very disappointed, will not bring any vehicles back to this dealer, and when I am in the market for a new Cadillac in the future I will go somewhere else.
Im in my 80s. In my many years on planet earth, I have purchased many new vehicles. The purchase of my new Cadillac from Jeff Schmidt Cadillac was the most pleasant of all those purchase experiences over the many years. I went to this dealership looking to purchase a car, after test driving the truck of choice, & running my name to see what I would b approved of, the salesman came back to me and said with your credit score there isnt much we can do for you and with your annual income this is not something you can afford. Instantly discouraged i asked what would he recommend. He then started looking at very old vehicles. Everyone was extremely rude.the manager that pulled my credit and appraised my car never spoke or even so much as acknowledged me. Very awful experience super belittling and degrading

Sales experience was very quick and easy. Salesman was great to work with. I will heavily suggest you have any pre-owned car inspected at a certified mechanic before purchase. I bought a 2015 Infiniti QX80 with 65,000 miles on it and the transmission needed to be replaced just days after purchase. Several calls and emails asking for help to cover the $2800 out of pocket repair have gone unanswered. Outside of that issue and very good dealer experience.

This was my first purchase of a Cadillac, as my main driver.Our sales person(Robert Sanders, Jr.) understood what we had been looking for and we had found the one on their website. The whole process was easy and I love my beautiful car!
While the brand Cadillac is known around the world for class and distinction---the Jeff Schmitt service department and dealership leaves a lot to be desired. I bought my vehicle Certified Pre-Owned, that should be a good solid vehicle needing little maintenance. Within the first couple months I incurred large service bills for brakes-rotors-fuel injection cleaners and the like. I have had to take my vehicle back twice for two different repairs that were not done right the first time. I do not trust them to bill correctly and I have not left the dealership without paying over $350 minimum. I asked on the last visit for them to wash and vacuum since that is one of the services they claim to offer free to their guests. It may have been run through the wash...but was still dirty and the oil pencil used on the windshield was still visibly there, in YELLOW, not like you could not see it. It was also not vacuumed out either. To add insult to injury- the Extended Care Plan that I purchased as well fore the vehicle that cost $1500.00 and says it covers windshield chips, they just emailed and said it was not covered. This should not be that much of a hassle to get things covered and taken care of. It is very disheartening and frustrating.

It cost me $160 to get my car back from them and have them tell me it wasnt covered under warranty and that I had no warranty. They wanted $1100 to fix a window seal and when I told them no way they came down to $500. I still told them no way. They claimed that they had to replace the entire piece of glass to get the seal because they couldnt get just the seal but I can buy the seal from GM for $75. Dont waste your time or money here or on any Cadillac in general for that matter.

Repair time was an extra day waiting for a part that should not have failed on a 2016. Dealer repair effort was ok but replacing removed panel was poorly done. I had to finish the effort.

I bought a 2019 certified pre owned Escalade from rob sanders on July 20th 2020. I was lead on to believe that this was a gently used vehicle driven by a 70 year old man that gets a new vehicle every year, with a clean car fax and not a single flaw.The part that was left out was that the car was damaged while the general manager of the store was driving it as his “demo”While the GM was driving the car, there was major damage to the passenger side resulting in a full paint job of the vehicle that was later discovered by local company before they did a ceramic coating.The paint job was a cover up to cover damage the GM caused and wasn’t reported.The paint job was rated a 3/10 by the most reputable paint correction company in the east coast. The paint job was done at Jeff Schmitt Chevrolet.I will never deal with a dealership that does a cover up job like this again.I am left to try and reclaim the money spent to remove the overspray all over the windows, trim, chrome, and the trim pieces that were removed incorrectly. I tried to reach out to rob and josh in the dealership and I was told sorry about my luck and the pound salt AFTER they tried to deny that there was a repair made.

I hate to car shop simply because salesmen are just a pain. This is the best experience Ive had. They were very open and aboveboard without being a pest. And that was for a used car. Its hard to imagine it being any better if I were buying a new Caddy. Jeff and Malcolm were great.Update. They owners manual wasn’t with the car when I bought it. No big deal it was a used car. Imagine my surprise to find a large package in my mail a couple weeks later.Apparently they found it and took the time to mail it to me. That’s going the extra mile.

Recently bought a vehicle from them. Paid for the extra warranty protection etc.. I noticed my vehicle was literally leaking oil 2 days later after I just purchased it. I immediately took it back and they were trying to charge me to even pull it in the shop. Didnt care at all that I drove 2 hours to get there. What was the point of the warranty? My salesman seen me and all he could say was That shouldnt be happening and disappeared. It was the biggest joke. Turns out I fixed the problem myself. Hey Jeff Schmitt, train your service techs how to tighten the oil drain plug next time you sell something to a customer!!! Oh and my salesman failed to mention that the black ecp detail box was an additional $1300. He made it seem like it was a gift for buying the car. Total scam and quite pathetic.
I just bought a used car at Jeff Schmitt Cadillac and loved the buying experience. Kris Redick met us in the parking lot, gave us the keys and let us test drive the small car. He helped us get the pricing we needed and made everything very simple. He was very polite and definitely not pushy! He came in on his day off to finalize the deal for us and had the car waiting at the front door for us. Kris coordinated everything and made sure we were truly satisfied before we left. This was truly a great car buying experience!
Had my car towed in for a diagnosis on Sunday because I bought the car with a warranty from them. They first diagnosed the car with failed spark plugs (cost $522), they then told me it was the crank shaft ($1000 just to find out if that was the issue) They then told me that I needed two catalytic converters and an O2 sensor. ($1700 and they were not sure that was the problem). Luckily they did not disassemble the engine for $1000 before they found the exhaust issue. After 5 days of them nickel and dimming me I decided to have the car towed to another shop on Friday. I was charged the $522 for the spark plug change. The car arrived at the other shop and the mechanic there immediately called me telling me that there was a lot of things that Jeff Schmitt has on the service slip that had not actually been performed. He then went ahead and re diagnosed the problem. The car was up and running before I even got home from work that day. We went and picked the car up and all that needed replaced was one catalytic converter and a coil pack and 1.25 hours of labor totaling $450. The tune up my car received from Jeff Schmitt was most likely not needed. It was probably the coil pack the whole time. During the whole process at Jeff Schmitt I was not treated with respect and the service manager would not give myself or my wife the time of day. When my wife picked up the car at Jeff Schmitt the cashier was looking at the slip and said to my wife, wow this can’t be right, This service should not cost this much. She called the service manager and asked him to take a look at it and my wife told me that the woman eyes got real big and she just said OK, very sorry. So apparently the manager gave her an ear full. Everyone in the service department that I spoke to is untrustworthy and uncaring for their customers. I will NEVER return!!! The only reason I gave one star is because it is not an option to give zero.
The body shop is FANTASTIC. Unfortunately, Ive had my poor van into the shop twice. The first time, the body shop fixed $19K damage to my van. It was PERFECT. This time, after we were rear ended, they fixed it perfectly again. They took extra care to shine up the tires and the steering wheel and all the finishes inside as well. I cant say enough good things about these guys. John, Sheryl, and Jaimie are the best.
I dont know about the dealership side, but the service department at Jeff Schmitt has been terrific. Ive had a troublesome 1995 Deville for the past two years, and they have been great to work with. Everything they fixed has stayed fixed, and they actually listen to this half-knowledgeable customer (not all repair places do...). Their prices have been quite reasonable, too. I only wish the car had been as reliable as them!

My previous interaction was fine but my recent customer service experience was pretty lacking.I contacted the dealership for a maintenance quote via email and the laughably titled Customer Concierge responded with the phone number for the service department. If I wanted to call the service department I would have done that instead of sending the email. This is not the service I would expect from a luxury brand. I will be sending my business to their local competitors.

Jeff Schmitt Cadillac charged me $342 for a new battery. I realize you pay more at a dealership and Im ok with that as they are convenient and they took good care of me when I bought my truck at their dealership in Columbus. However, this is criminal. I gave them a chance to adjust, but nothing. They defended the charge. Jay Schmitt won my loyalty when I bought my truck in how he handled a 3rd party transaction. Your service dept just lost me for good.
I came to Jeff Schmitt to get my electric truck lock repair, well they did a great job repairing it, however I have a rear view camera installed, (by Jeff Schmitt) granted it is not factor install but it worked fine. Well after I left my rear view camera quit working, the power is on but the camera does not show the rear view.

Had the pleasure of purchasing a used vehicle from Bryan Edwards recently. It was the easiest car purchase I have ever made. Bryan was awesome to work with; he has a pleasant no-pressure attitude, explained everything in detail, and was straight forward and honest.
To make a long story short, my husband and I visited Jeff Schmitt Cadillac and were very interested in a used 2017 Cadillac. The salesman was very helpful but hands were tied when it came to us making a deal. We dealt with Josh and very disappointed when he let us walk out the door over $250.00. We ended up driving to Cincinnati and purchasing the same vehicle for $1,500 less. We didnt mind driving to Cincinnati but very disappointed because we loved the salesman and dealership and most of all we wanted to buy local and support a local business. We really think Josh failed your dealership.

If you buy a new Cadillac, yes they are great! But if you own a used Cadillac, dont get it fixed here! The cost is extreme! They will find something extra every single time! You cannot get out less than a Thousand dollars!!!! They charge three times the cost for parts than Auto Zone. GM, Cadillac, Delco, do not make parts anymore! There are only two main suppliers of replacement parts and everyone gets them there! Then with $90.00 and hour, plus, labor, no matter what the job, and you are screwed! And with that much labor and parts cot you would think they would wash and vacuum the vehicle, no! Only Dealerships who respect and appreciate your business do that!

Avoid this place like the plague! I found a car online, called the dealership to make an appointment same day. I left work early and drove two hours to get to the dealership. Upon arrival I was informed that while my car was sitting up front waiting for me, another couple without an appointment and asked about it, and was taken for a test drive! They didnt say this car is on hold for another customer who has an appointment. They didnt say we can show you any other car on the lot. I sat in the waiting room for an hour while they were actively selling the car to the other couple. After an hour I was informed the car had been sold, and there was nothing they could do. This is one of those dealerships you wish someone would warn you about before you go. Do business elsewhere.
Ive had been looking for a car for my wife and found the perfect one on the Jeff Schmitt Cadillac web site. I called ahead to set a time and make sure it was available. When we arrived we were met by Jeff VanGorder who told us they had the car warmed-up and ready and then introduced us to our salesman Michael Jackson.It was like dealing with an old friend for in fact we were because Michael has been selling Cadillacs to our family for over two decades and we had lost rack of him. Im not exaggerating when I tell you Michael will exceed your expectations and do anything possible to earn and keep your business. I think it speaks very well for this dealership that they have him on their staff.It was great day and a great buying experience and everything was exactly as described. Michael is a seasoned expert and went over all the changes and improvement since our last Cadillac purchase and was a pleasure to work with. Everyone that we met that day was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Well be back!

The parts department was excellent however Tom in the service department was terrible, acts as if your bothering him when you arrive and does not communicate well with customers or other departments. They are not friendly and often seem racist. I will not go back to the place and feel as if they have damaged my vehicle now I have to find another place to get serviced.Stay away from this place

We have bought 2 cars at Jeff Schmitt one at the Mazda dealer and now one at Cadillac. Our experience with Cadillac has been awful! Josh will not return my husbands calls. We are having problems with the car we purchased and now 3 messages have been left for Josh with no return. He is clearly guilty of something. We have only had the car for 2 weeks and no one from Cadillac will call us. Very disappointed.
Wanted to purchase a new Cadillac and contacted Jeff Schmitt Cadillac thinking they could help, because well, theyre a Cadillac dealer. Crazy right? They didnt have the vehicle I wanted on the lot but they agreed the could locate one. While I had no issue with providing the requested the deposit ($5000), they would only bring in the car if I would agree the deposit was non-refundable. Hows that for portraying confidence in the Cadillac brand - worst salesmanship Ive ever seen. To add insult to injury they then wouldnt provide the dealer info for the guys that had the car. Im just amazed at this business model. No where else have I seen this. Ive ordered vehicles for years and never has a dealer taken such a tact. I understand weighing risk but for a military customer with top tier credit and twenty plus years of service Im surprised at the unwillingness to try and close what seemed to be an easy deal.

Im in the market for a new car and Im starting to test drive cars that Im considering. My friend and I came to the dealership today so I could test drive a car. We saw 3 salesmen and not one came over to talk to us. As a matter of fact, one came walking and and we thought, Great, someone is going to come talk to us about a car, but he ended up walking over to the couple that came in after us. The other two salesmen finished their cigarettes and decided to go back into the offices. I was going to go inside, but decided that Im the customer here and I should NOT have to chase a salesman down. Especially, when they are not busy. It appeared they were not interested in making money off of me today.

We visited Jeff Schmitt Cadillac on 8/16/19 to look at and potentially buy a 2020 XT4 when we walked in the showroom a salesman greeted us and asked what we wanted to see. We told him and he responded the dealership did not have any. I told him according to your website you had at least 4. He looked on his phone and decided I was correct. We took one out for a test drive and really liked it. He informed us there were no promotions on that vehicle and that a lease monthly would cost us at least $750. He told us our best bet would be a 2019 XT5 so we agreeded to take on out for a test drive so we did. We asked him to work up the numbers for a monthly lease on that model. He came back with a $498 monthly payment. We told him we would like to proceed but we needed to get the family GMC number. He said if we wanted to come back 8/23/19 he would hold that vehicle for us. When we arrived I already knew the vehicle that was supposed to be ours was sold the day before. I showed him the stock # that he gave me the week before and asked if was the one he had the paperwork for and he assured me it was. After about 2 hrs I confronted him because the stk number on the package on his desk was not the one we were promised. He proceeded to tell me ours was transferred to another dealer another lie they sold it to my sister and brother in law the day before. It turns out the one your dealership was trying to pass on to us was a demonstrator with 2750 miles. Needless to say after 5 hrs we walked out and went to another dealership and bought the vehicle we wanted.
We looked online to see what was available. Called to see if a particular truck was still there. Went to look at it and decided to buy it. We worked with Bryan Edwards. He was very personable, polite and more than willing to work to help us with the purchase of the truck. We have bought from Jeff Schmitt before and Bryan has surpassed all the other sales people we have dealt with so far. Thanks very much Bryan for working with us.
My wife and i recently purchased a new Cadillac SRX from Zachary Long. He was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with all the features. In comparison to other Cadillac dealership, the quality of customer service and amenities are extremely poor. My cadillac was towed there on a Friday evening at 5:30p and I requested a loaner car just until Monday morning and the representative stated he couldnt provide one because the timeframe would exceed there 3 day policy and also I had to be getting a more expensive service i.e. transmission repair or engine repair. I didnt received one car from the representative providing the status on my car, I had to call each time. I was told I would receive a call when the service was complete and no call. I went to pick my car up Tuesday morning hoping it was complete and the cost was a little less than $330 and I provided the representative my credit card and he asked if I needed to split it between two cards, Im not sure why. Maybe I didnt look like I could have $300 available on one card. I asked for military discount and again they only provided it if your spending more money. LOL And last but not least, they didnt even wash or vacuum my car even though they ask me Friday and I said yes. The representative tried to use the excuse that their power was out the night before, however, I asked him when I first came in to pickup my car if it had been washed and he responded yes but said he hadnt seen it with his own eyes. At that point he shouldve went to check and since it hadnt been it couldve gotten started while I was handling my bill. However, he chose to wait until he pulled my car around and try to apologize and ask if I wanted him to bring it back in to be wash. NOT impressed at all with the service. They seem to be focused on money so much when they need to improve the quality of service.

Very helpful & completely satisfied with my purchaseZach Long was a great help !Edit to add: two months later I had to take an additional loan out for almost $1500 because the transmission had already went out, neither the sales rep or fiance department could be reached and I felt absolutely betrayed. This vehicle has done nothing but fail me.
This was the most awesome experience. It was like going to a 5 star restaurant. I would highly recommend!!!They were all dressed in suits. Was greeted at door immediately, introduce to manager, no high pressure. Offered food and drink. Quick response to deal: trade-in value, credit approval. etc. Over the years I have purchase many autos and this was by far the best experience. All questions were answered and not put off. Great salesman, great finance manager, all staff was professional, friendly and helpful. I cant say enough about this dealership. It was totally awesome. I am totally satisfied.Will continue dealings with my next purchases. Go check out for yourself. The used cars are the cleanest- showroom quality. Oh happy day service like it was when I was young. I loved it!!!

I have to tell everyone my experience in hopes that I might help someone else.I was on the highway when a huge box came off of a van and hit my car. No one was seriously injured but dealing with the other drivers insurance was a terrible experience from the start. He had Western Reserve and some guy named Mark at that insurance company was very rude with me every-time we spoke on the phone. I decided to get an estimate for my cars damage at Jeff Schmitt Cadillac because it was close to me.I was treated as if I were a family member to these people when I walked in the door. I showed them the damage that was done to my car, and explained my situation with the other driver’s insurance company. My whole front end, the lights, and the hood were messed up, and they estimated it would take a week to fix. Then they informed me that they would dealt with his insurance so I wouldn’t have to anymore.They called me if anything changed, and informed me of my cars progress in the days to come. The car was done before the week was over. These people truly went above and beyond in my opinion. I cannot put into words how amazing my whole experience was with this group of people. They treated me like family, and my car looks brand new again. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. Thank you John Schum, Jamie Roden, and Cheryl Franks. I will always be a huge fan.
