I was the only customer at the time, and had very attentive service. I requested foundation that was hypoallergenic. I was sold Bare Minerals, and purchased a couple of other items. The color was in the right shade, but works for yellow undertones, and I have pink undertones. I checked Bare Minerals website, and sadly they dont make a close color match with pink undertones. Most of that is on Bare Minerals, but I would have appreciated getting that info before I purchased it. At least I can return it. Great return policy!
I was literally just in the store looking for an eye cream to make my eyes look less baggy. I wish I could have caught the girls name that was working there, but she suggested origins ginzing. I just tried it and it was exactly what I wanted. Thank you!
Went when it was emergency... The shelves were kinda dry. The employee was friendly but not too knowledgeable on products. Had to download the sephora app to search what I was looking for. But overall .... I love Sephora!

This Sephora is a small store as are many of the ones inside jcpenney. they had not had a truck shipment in more than two weeks so their inventory was super low. Also, all the testers and samples had been removed from all of the vendor displays related to covid. The staff was helpful - i will go back

As a crossdresser, I was nervous but need help knowing what to buy. Madison was AMAZING! She didn’t bat an eye at me being a man. She took her time and taught me what she was using and how to use it...and even filled my little basket with the items I needed. When we were done I didn’t want to leave! This location has cut back on stock, and sales help. Very small selection, and zero quality help. Fragrances are very limited.This is not how I remember Sephora. I used to love to go to any Sephora for an hour or two of experienceing new cosmetics, and fragrances. Usually only 1 salesperson, which doesnt care to help in this location. The lighting is AWFUL, which makes shade selection impossible. Ive returned lipsticks. Dark, dismal atmosphere. Wheres management!!??The testers are filthy, and gross stuck on hairs. I now go to Ulta...better natural light and ample sales help. Much better selection.

Sephora in JCPenney at the Daytona mall is my absolute favorite ! They have all the brands I love ! The whole team assisted me, and made me feel like royalty. They helped me to choose the proper make up for my skin type ! I will drive hours just to visit the team in Volusia ! I absolutely love Sephora! Thank you so much to the entire team! The young blk gentleman did my make-up & i was grateful...very polight & professional with a sense of humor. They dont make it easy to right reviews for PEOPLE . they tell you to go to the receipt & survey but by timw you get homw its wrinkled & the words have faded & names are forgotten. I was very disappointed that I could not purchase a newly released Urban Decay Born to Run Palette they had at the store but yet when I got to my car I ordered it online go figure. The male working there was very friendly and helpful but I was not impressed with the other female coworker. I’ll just order what I need online.

I think Ill be purchasing my products from the sephora website from now on unless I move out of the area. This was by far the most pathetic excuse for a sephora I have ever seen in my life. First of all, its dirty. I understand there are testers but there is product smudged all over the tables and even some of the packaging. Take a little more pride in your store and your products. This isnt drugstore makeup. Second of all, they couldnt have found a more inexperienced team for this store. There is one male worker who actually seemed like a good fit, however all of the females seemed completely out of their element. They had no clue what to recommend for skincare and my mother was actually told to ask about haircare over at Macys rather than receiving assistance. Its quite obvious that they dont know how to correctly apply makeup and most of them were hardly even wearing any. Wont be returning.

The staff seemed attentive at my visit. One staff member advised me that certain items are displayed with empty boxes due to shoplifting. I dont know if its popular, or because its the only one in the area, but a good portion of the store was messy/disorganized. I dont blame the workers but how they are managed. Again, probably not the best Sephora. Upon my visit the workers were attentive.

Terrible stuff. I am a VIB member and stop by the store to purchase some make up with my 20% off. I couldn’t find a bar code on my app and none of the three employees were able to help me. Weren’t friendly and very unprofessional. I love Sephora and usually they have very nice stuff but ones in Volussia mall are very unprofessional and rude. I don’t know how they were hired.
I wish we had a better Sephora here. I really do. The employees are either completely ignoring me, or looking at me like Im going to steal something. They just wander around, never smiling, occasionally playing with some of the make up. They NEVER have the products I want in stock. Most testers are just gone and item slots stay empty for weeks or even months. Its sad and the reason I only shop at Sephora online now.
Makeup for me is like coffee; so Sephora(s) are like Starbucks(es). I was in a jam and needed something bad, fortunately, instead of a drug or department store, this Sephora was available. Didnt find exactly what I wanted, but it was close enough to get by. Sounding like by, the buys here, at this mall Sephora, aint exactly cheap, especially since I had to go up a notch in price to get my equivalent product.

This is the worst Sephora I have ever been to. I was ignored for 30 minutes, and then when I did find someone to help me she seemed scared to death to answer any questions. None of the employees had decent makeup on and seemed lost in their own store. I asked for a sample from the Glamglow testers and the girl who assisted me was stunned to be asked to get me a sample. I watched the manager do makeup on a teenager and she painted her face up real horror show. She gave her clown blue eyeshadow to her eyebrows and the foundation didnt match her skin. Let me put it like this, it was so bad my brother who doesnt care about makeup ran up to me and said, whoa she is making her look crazy. Avoid this place if you can.
The Volusia County, Daytona Beach Sephora inside JcPenny is the worst store ever! And thats an understatement. Im a Rouge member so that can give you an idea of the amount I spend on my love for makeup. But that love for makeup changes every time I have to go to this Sephora to get my cosmetics. First off you are never greeted unless the young man with the spiked black hair is working. He is the only helpful and pleasant one at this store that actually works hard and shows great customer service to everyone. When hes not there the African American women usually is. I believe she is the manager. She is one of the rudest people Ive ever met and when she is working she always looks like she would rather be somewhere else and not have to deal with customers when they need help. The other white young lady that works there is another one that is just like the useless manager. They will never go above and beyond and try and make a bad experience better or make the customer happy if it entails doing extra work For instance on Jan 7th 2016 at around 5:30pm I went to return a new unused/un-opened UD vintage lipstick in shade UVB. Now this lipstick was limited edition and only out on shelves there for a month and NEVER went on sale. When I went to the sales counter it was the rude Manager and a young women working. I told the women i had to return a lipstick and Instantly the manager that was ringing up a customer next to her gives me a rude look. I then got hit with the third degree by both trying to investigate why I was returning this 17.00 dollar lipstick. I didnt have the paper receipt but I had the cc I paid with. She told me she still needed my ID(Drivers license) and then she tells me Im only getting back 8.00 even though I paid 17.00. The manager next to her is hearing all this go on and didnt even try at all to fix the situation or even explain why Id only get the 8.00 back. I decided to keep the item and not argue with her since I knew it would end up going nowhere. The manager that runs this store(#0620) seems to come up with her own store policies and not by Sephoras procedures and guidelines. This store is run by a scammer and clearly doesnt go by the Sephora guidelines when it comes to Returns and/or customer service. Its sad because I love Sephora and this is the only one within a 2 hour drive from my home. Luckily an Ulta opened up in Palm Coast that has amazing associates and i now I can spend my hard earned money at a store thats not only helpful but treats its customers with respect.
I had gone into this particular Sephora for the first time yesterday because I wanted a heavier coverage BB cream. At first, I thought no one was working the counter because I was able to browse the entire makeup section with no assistance. This didnt really bother me because I enjoy browsing on my own from time to time, but to someone who is pressed for time and needs help it may be bothersome. Eventually a sales associate came up to me and asked if I needed assistance, I tell her yes. She then proceeds to use Sephoras new color IQ system to find products in my shade.Now, I have done a fair bit of research on the color IQ system and the general consensus is that its a cool and innovative system, but the matches seem to be off. Well, yesterday I experienced this. I told my price point and the sales associate matched me up according to the color IQ. I am pale, but since I am Hispanic I do have a yellow undertone to my skin and often I am mistakenly matched up to a pinkish undertone shade. The color IQ went based off of some pink shade in my skin, and the sales associate brought me over to a lighter coverage Sephora brand foundation. She put it on my face and it did not match. The second shade did not match either. The third shade matched somewhat, but since I like to try before I buy I got a sample.So, did I like the color IQ system? No. In the end, it was completely unnecessary and just wasted time. I think its just a gimmick really.The sales associate did not seem very knowledgeable either. A majority of Sephora sales associates know the color IQ system is not very accurate and are usually attentive in picking other shades that match. For the little work that she did in matching me purely off the system, I could have done it myself. In addition, I asked her a few questions regarding some difficulties I had with setting powder clumping on my face and she gave me a strange look. Were in Florida. The heat can do crazy things to makeup, and so I always look for weatherproof makeup tips.Between the gimmicky system and an apathetic sales associate, I was ready to leave. Everybody, if youre looking for more knowledgeable sales associates and a better overall experience check out these places nearby: Ulta Beauty in Port Orange, Merle Norman in Port Orange, Sally Beauty in Port Orange. Research online for good drugstore makeup brands--NYX products in CVS are a great value. I like to be educated in makeup for several reasons, but the very most important ones being: I know what products are less likely to fail and I can be my own sales associate. Less money and time will be wasted.
