Daytona State bookstore is money hungry and do not care about students. I ordered a book that was supposed to come with an access code card to do my assignments through Mcgrall hill. I have jumped through HOOPS the last couple of days trying to explain to them that my book did not come with a code. Instead of sending me another book, or simply an access code... they are making me pay for an entirely other book for 95 dollars and not letting me return the one I received WITHOUT a code. apparently they cannot do that. I am a student who is missing my assignments and receiving zeros because I cannot get them done. it is simply ridiculous. The books are already overpriced. I suggest not even attending DSC to begin with. will be transferring schools soon.

Dont go just to sell your books back. I spent $40 on books and got 3 bucks back. Dont waste your gas just so Daytona State can make $10 on a book they gave you $1 for.You need your student ID.I called to ask prior and was told I wouldnt need it. Just my student ID #. Went in and was told that the system wouldnt allow me to sell books with the ID.Just get/bring it on the off chance that someone wants to be a hard*ss who wants to follow all the rules instead of just helping customers.Other than that - they look like they have all the books and DSC merch you could possibly want.

This is the 2nd time Ive came to this store so I can get books for school and this is also my first year of college (ever) not a very good experience. Actually everytime I come in its never a good experience. They do not know what the hell is going on!!! One person is doing one thing and talking about one thing while the other person is saying something completely different about that.I hate this store so bad. Its a terrible experience everytime.

I was told by the bookstore that I had to purchase a new online code for class that was NOT required. I went back and since I lost the small piece of paper with the code on it they refused to refund the $140. Double check everything, do NOT purchase everything that they push you to purchase~!

Good place to get what you need for school.

This school is great for the most part. However, the book store is an independent book store that sells the stuff needed for your classes. One problem, is they take advantage of the students financial aid vouchers, by charging double the amount for books or access codes for online class. If you can avoid this place, and buy online or anywhere else do that! Only use this place as a last resort. A better option, would be to pay out-of-pocket for your items at a different place, if you can and wait for your financial aid refund to be disbursed to you. This will save you a lot of money.

They were out of the books I needed so I prepaid and they told me they would call me when they came in. They never called me so I finally called, only to be told that the book was sitting there waiting for me. I went in to pick them up and there was only one book. I was told that the publisher stopped carrying the other book so they switched to another book and canceled my order. But at this point, the financial aid vouchers had just expired and I was told I would need to pay for it out of pocket. This whole situation could have been avoided if they had been more professional.

The staff is always very helpful with finding my books. However, I know that no matter how nice or accommodating their staff will be when I sell them back (at pennies on the dollar), I am NOT going to be as happy with the bookstore.

Friendly staff. Changed way to find your books. New way makes no sence. Instead of finding your books by class there now listed by author. No way to find your books unless you get help. Stay home and get them online. Much easier

I would give it a 4 star but the employee had her dog in the store. Not a service dog, just a pet. I think its inconsiderate of people with allergies or fear. Plus, not having the book i needed at hand wasnt helpful. Beside that, the store was neat and organized well and the staff was helpful. She ordered the book I needed for class and it arrived before expected.

The staff at the bookstore should all get medals the way they deal with your needs so expeditiously.

I experienced Great service but they did not stock enough architectural kits for the new semester of drafting students. I had to buy everything separate, online and at Michaels.

Nice atmosphere

The manager here was very rude to both customers and employees alike. Berating my friend for not knowing her student ID number and shouting to one of her employees to COME like a dog. I feel so bad for the people who work here. I have never seen such abuse by a manager in my life. I really hope that they get someone new in there. Tyler, the employee was very kind and helpful to us with trying to find the number. The manager looked up and him and said where are you with that, because we are going home. As a person who has not yet decided on College I am really off-put by this womans behaviour and will never shop at this bookstore.

To get to the book store its not easy do to the construction thats going on. The people that work for the book store are very nice friendly and very respectful. What ever you need or cant find just ask they are there to help and help you they do.

Always have a good experience when I need to grab books or supplies from here. Sometimes I order online from the website and pick up in store for free, which is pretty convenient. Some complain that books are overpriced, but I always check prices and the store will do a price match. Never any problems with that.

New set up is nice. The times I have visited the staff is helpful and nice.

Manager and staff were very rude. not helpful at all when I mention the item I need that showed on their website they had they were confused and had no idea about the website. staff not helpful at all. just a bunch of life failures working in a college book store that have nothing to do but be grumpy

This place always seemed like a rip-off when I went there (DSC alumnus of 2013/2014 who went there for four years). The staff seemed impatient in general. Everything seemed pricey, even the accessories were expensive. If you need textbooks, try to get them online instead of here.

I went there this past Saturday (1/13/18) a few minutes after 1, and they were already closed. Yet it said, here on google, that they are open until 3. The kicker is that this was the weekend before the start of the semester.

They helped my son find all his books.

Some stuff is over priced here, but its a college bookstore. I bought earphones here and they didnt work. They wouldnt give me my $ back or exchange them. 😑
