The one star is for Curt, the new service advisor behind the desk. His customer service skills are outstanding! Unfortunately, his job is made quite difficult by the poor level of workmanship that the shop has demonstrated over the past several months. Simple tasks have been fouled up by whomever they have working in the shop. A leaky oil filter after an oil change left a mess on my driveway. Another oil change stripped the oil plug threads on my sons car, and they tried to cover their mistake by attempting to charge him for the repair. Most recently I had some recall work done. Whether it was necessary to unplug the mass air flow sensor or not (highly questionable), they returned the car to me with it unplugged. It ran like a clunker with the dash lit up by orange lights. They didnt notice this when they drove it around and turned in the keys to Curt??!! My wife drove it home like that in disbelief that the dealer could have returned our car to us in a worse condition than how it was given to them. I would too, but given this years history with the Kelley service shop, Im coming to expect it.Note to management: Dont lose Curt! (And hopefully you havent lost Tom Hawkins in Sales yet...great guy!) Just lose the careless practice behind the scenes. Im removing all service patronage for now until the help wanted crisis is over, and warm bodies are replaced with competence again.

We bought a used ford F150 an they were doing a few thing before we took possession, an its now been literally 9 days before 1st payment due an still dont have the truck..ask why.. best answer ever,,, I DONT KNOW,, an every week was same . Well if they dont know who the --------- does.. I have never an will never understand this..we have bought 4 vehicles from them an have no idea whats up..well Im over it ..im gonna contact someone to help fix it since even main man isnt helping ....

Purchased a 2016 Ford F-150 about a year ago. And it’s been in the shop way to much. I have had my truck in to courtesy ford 8 times, just for the freezing door latch recall. Over and over again, still not confident that the issue is resolved. Several times I took the truck in and they would have it an entire day, just to be told at 3 in the afternoon, “we have to order another part, gonna have to schedule an appointment”. Another time, I sat in the waiting area for almost 2 hours, to be told they actually had the wrong parts for the door having issues. This is not the worst.Finally they actually had the parts. Took the truck in they installed the new parts, but there was a problem. Now the gasket on two doors, was sticking out of door handle area. It was not before. I brought it to their attention and they agreed to take care of it. Waited for a little bit. Take my truck home and notice something. To fix the gaskets hanging out; someone appeared to have used a utility knife or razor blade to try and cut the part hanging out. While doing so, cutting into the clear coat of the truck. Scratching the heck out of it. To their credit, they did fix it. Albeit another trip back in. Another entire day of my truck being at the shop.That brings me to my last experience. I had a engine light on for a sensor that needed replaced. Doors were froze shut, and I had noticed the fiber plate under the truck was missing a bolt. Figured I’d just have them take care of it while it was there. Scheduled an appointment. Courtesy Ford had my truck for over 8 hours. During this time, they “fixed” my door and diagnosed what sensor needed replaced. A technician told the service desk that he had called me, to talk about the fuel sensor around lunch time, I received no call. It wasn’t until almost 4, when I called to see what the status was. This is when I was told what all they had done. And again....I was going to have to schedule another appointment. They didn’t even get a nut and bolt on the fiber board.The following morning; it was cold. Door latch was froze again. Took it in for my next appointment, got the sensor fixed and the bolt on the fiber skid board. Now they state my door problem is something to do with the switch that unlocks and locks my door. Meaning it doesn’t fall under the recall; therefore I have to pay for it. I just don’t know if I buy it. Issues only exist when weather is below freezing...Anyway, after all that, I’m finally done. It doesn’t make me happy to do it. But I am now going out of my way, out of town to get my work done. It’s an inconvenience, but with all the time I’ve wasted there, I’ll at least break even. This is just my experience. Hopefully it’s an outlier.

I submitted a request for information regarding a used vehicle. I received no less then 7 emails requesting my phone number each time. It’s frustrating beyond belief shopping for a vehicle and this place didn’t make it any easier. If I wanted to be inundated with phone calls I would have provided my phone number on the request forum. Furthermore I inquired about their best price, as one does when car shopping, and was quoted a price that was $800 more then the advertised price on their own website. I do not have any additional experience with this dealer however I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Sales rep Adam McCoy was very knowledgeable & took the time to answer my questions along with showing me the many features on the different vehicles that I looked at. He was very patient with me & spent as much time as I needed while I made my decision as to which vehicle I thought would be the best fit for me. Was out looking for my first vehicle to buy (Im 20) so naturally I brought along my mom to help me with questions I might not understand. We had test drove a vehicle I was interested in and went inside to discuss what it might cost and warranty. When our sales person Nick B; brought over the pricing there was a $399 charge for paint warranty. Why would I want to pay that additional for a car that had scratches on the drivers side door and a dent in the front fender? So naturally my mother asked if there was any way to take that off. He rudely replied “yeah I can give you a bucket of water with soap and a scrubbing pad and you can give it a good try to get it off.” Instead of just being professional and explaining that the dealership puts it on their vehicles new or used, simple! No need to be rude. So think twice before test driving a vehicle from this place or just find a new sales person. Can’t make a sale if you want to have an attitude.

Employees will work fast to help you, BUT as a costumer you can quickly get on their nerves if you have lots of questions. That was my experience with them, desk girl was supposed to get a loaner car paper made up but she said it’s past 5 and made it seem problematic to get that service done, I understand but at my job we personally stay over all the time to help others, selfish I guess young kids now days just rude. Tom Hawkins was my salesman, I would say he had kind of an attitude, short fused gentleman, but he did help us to the best of his knowledge, Jake Gallogly the finance manager, is a very polite and friendly guy, I must say he worked hard to make a deal happen and was very professional, he was all around the best part of my visit..

I will continue to use this place for future purchases. Had an issue with our used car a month in and they gave us a lot of help with financial issues. I recommend buying their motor and transmission extra coverage package if you buy used.

The name on the front may say Ford, but they are a Chevrolet dealer at heart! When I called to make an appointment I told them I was going to buy a Lincoln and they set me an appointment with a guy down the street at the bowtie dealership. Then when I asked for him they told me it would be a while because he was with another customer! I told them to just get me someone in the Ford dealership where I was then standing in great haste to buy a vehicle! They agreed to have Tom set me up in the test drive and work the deal. We drove the vehicle and I loved it so we were ready to take it home! That is when the problem started. They wanted me to sit down with the finance manager named Jake! Note that Jake was probably too inexperienced at life to have this position. He had the demeanor of a person whose dad or maybe Uncle owned the place and he was given that position, not because he was qualified but, because he was in line to inherit the business. On top of that he was slightly below average height so he had a small case of little man syndrome as well. Now, back to the timeline. We wrapped up the deal with Tom and Jake walks up and introduces himself and says hes a Chevy manager just filling in down here today, and immediately I asked why we needed to talk to him when we already had financing. They assured me this is how its done. Im from Ohio and Im buying a car out of state so I was willing to accept that things may be done slightly differently in another state so I went to his office. Almost as soon as we sat down Jake starts to talk to me like I was his errand boy! He said, Youre going to go home and get me the title to your trade. Then you will call the bank and see how Im going to get my money. Then youll drive back up here with a check from your bank and a title to your trade and once the check clears I will allow you to take this new vehicle with you. So I started to get defensive and I asked him why I had to do all that when they were charging me $300 to do title work? I also was curious as to why he thought I was going to talk to the bank about his check and title to his new Mustang! I have never talked to the bank on behalf of the dealership in my life! This, on top of his condescending attitude, led me to tell him he was sadly mistaken if he thought I was going to jump at his beckon call! I probably should have left right then and bought a different car, but I decided to listen to the salesman when he said he could get it all taken care of. I gave the bank information to Jake and he left the room for about five minutes and said he emailed the list of information the bank requested to them so we would wait on them, only to find out the next day that he didnt email anything to the bank. I talked to them and they received nothing and when I called the salesman back the next morning HE had to send everything! Eventually we picked up the check at the bank and the dealership delivered the vehicle to me, but then they became the herpes of car dealerships. I called the bank when my 45 day tag expired and asked why I didnt have a title yet and they had not received it from the dealership yet! They said it was no big deal so we didnt worry about it. Then about a month after that they called me and said the dealership had sent the documents to the title department and they were waiting on our signature! They had been there for a month and no one called us! The title department didnt have the correct phone number and when they called the dealership they told the state of Ohio title department they had no phone number or way of contacting us at all! We had the vehicle four months before we got a title because that dealership fumbled the ball on every step of the process! If you go to buy a car there deal with Tom the salesman, but if Jake the finance manager walks up to help you, run like your life depends on it! Unless, you want to be treated like his puppet on a string! I cant say enough praise about Tom the salesman, but there arent enough curses known to man for Jake the finance guy!

New: I got to know later that the Equinox 2012 that I bought actually has the high oil consumption issue well known in the market and it was sold to us without the fix and I cant have it fixed for free anymore because it was sold to us with high mileage. Tried to get a solution from Kelley but only thing I got was an offer for a trade-in deal for 40% of the price I paid for the vehicle.Old: My personal experience buying my car at Tom Kelley was really amazing. I am in complete shock with this dealership. I have trusted and gave Tom Kelley glowing recommendations and business for years however it stops right here with the Decatur branch. Unfortunately the branchs phone mailbox is still full so I have taken the liberty of contacting corporate to help find a solution to the ongoing issues ever since they replaced our engine. I will follow up with the Better Business Bureau on monday as well as a further review of my service on my F150.

Nick did a fine job of working with us on the purchase of our used vehicle. I was disappointed in the fact this the car had one owner and keyless entry but the key fobs were not with the vehicle. It seems like one of the two should have been with it and nobody seemed to have an answer. All we were given were service keys. Now we will have to purchase and pay to program new ones because we don’t have the original ones. Other than that, everyone was friendly and helpful in getting the deal completed in a timely manner and I would certainly return to purchase another vehicle from them.

My sister bought a vehicle from here that had bubbles in the sidewalls in 3 of the 4 tires. The sales and herself seen them and she was promised all 4 new tires when the vehicle is purchased. The master technician stated that bubbles in the sidewalls are not dangerous and that they are safe to drive on and after time will go away. After contacting several local tire shops and Good Year themselves they all stated that the tires should be changed. The master technician still refused and proceeded to call my sister dumb. On top of the tire issues the transmission screwed up after having the vehicle for 4 days. After a month of no vehicle and constant arguments. They decided to fix it. After returning the vehicle home the transmission still has the same issues as before taking it in to get fixed. I will tell everyone I know to never do business at Tom Kelley, they are arrogant, cocky, uneducated crooks that do not care about customer satisfaction.

Our salesmen Tom Hawkins was great at finding us what we wanted. And didnt try to make us get something we didnt like. Like other dealers have done in the past. This is a great Ford dealer. We purchased a newer but used Edge. They gave us a great deal. During the negotiation process I requested a couple minor wear and tear items be replaced before i left.
