DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANYTHING!!!I bought new snow tires from this store in December 2020. They put them on fine with apparently no issues. However:When I left the store, I realized they did not put my summer tires back in the car, and they had charged me for tire disposal (I did not request this as the summer tires only had 1 season on them. I called and went back to pick up the tires, and we put them in the car, no issue. I took them home and stored them in my basement until today.I went to a different tire store to today to have the summer tires put back on, and three out of four summer tires had huge gashes in the sides of them (see photos).I called Mavis, and they will not take responsibility for anything. There is LITERALLY no other explanation for this. I picked up the tires, stored them in my basement, and then took them to another tire shop for mounting. There is no possible way anything like this could have happened in between.When I asked for an alternative explanation, Mavis had none. They simply said that it could not have been due to mounting so they will not do anything for me.With that, I urge you not to do business with these people. I can not stress this enough. Absolutely horrible.UPDATE: Since the owner decided to respond to my post (See Below), I wanted to let everyone know that I posted this AFTER contacting their customer service number. They connected me with the regional manager who then spoke with his boss and they still declined to do anything about this.Do not let their comment below make it seem like they care about their customers.

After detailing the needs and future service needs for my vehicle, he helped me plan accordingly while ensuring my vehicle keeps running at its best. Jim ensured I received fair pricing for all service and is always helpful when I come in. I only bring my car to this store because of the excellent customer service.

This is a tire shop that does not have tires. The manager attempts to use humor to mask the fact that they can not complete a job. I have waited one week to receive one tire. Each day with the promise of the tire coming in on a truck that day. When it became obvious that the tire arrival time is unknown I asked for a refund. They have yet to give me my refund. Will report them to corporate.

Made an appointment by phone. Manager called and confirmed 3 hours prior to appointment. Got there on time and he said. “Sorry I can’t do it”. Rescheduled 2 days later for first thing (8am). Said he would order 4 of the same tires just in case. Showed up early. Couldn’t remember the appointment. Didn’t order the tires. Finally found a (matching) tire. $222.01. Took $10 off l, so 2 stars.

I have never before wanted to throw a business under the bus — sometimes people have bad days, sometimes there are transitions but no, this place was just actually the worst.Here’s my experience:So, I got a flat on Monday. I called Mavis, and was told to come in the next morning (Tuesday) and they would replace my tire for a good price in 2 hours. Over 4.5 hours later, after no call-back, I come into the store — they tell me that they never ordered the tire (apparently, they forgot?), that they don’t have it and if they ordered it then, it wouldn’t come in until Thursday.I live an hour and a half north, and was trying to get home for work, so I was displeased. But I decide to go ahead and order the tires (I needed two, they convinced me) and I stayed with a friend until Thursday.On Thursday, they said bring the car in in the morning, and they would change the tires FIRST THING, within the hour - two tires, and an alignment. I called TWICE that day to confirm the two tires and alignment, just to be 100% sure because I could not miss another day of work, and I did not truly trust these folks after the first misstep.I get a call FIVE HOURS LATER saying that they had changed ONE tire, and the car was ready for pickup.…Because of how late it had gotten that day (they were about to close), they had to call a mechanic that didn’t even work at Mavis to change my second tire and redo the alignment.Here’s the kicker: next time I drove on the highway, my tire pressure light came on. I took the car to my actual, trusted mechanic at home and he said my tires were supposed to be at 40 pounds of compression — these guys at Mavis pumped them up to over 60 pounds. My tires could have popped on the road, and I could have been seriously injured.It seems that most of their equipment was broken, including the computer for alignments, tire pump reader, and their inventory management system. It’s downright irresponsible that they would continue to operate under these circumstances.Try ANY other place — Mavis is a MESS, made me loose days of work and put me in danger because of their incompetence. Apparently, most of their staff had quit the last week due to bad management — I wonder why.One star. Not worth it.

Great service and very helpful folks! I came in close to closing time and they were not only kind enough to inspect my tires, but even stayed open late to change them as well! They have a solid selection to choose from. Jim, the manager, and Sandon at the front desk even hooked me up with a pressure sensor replacement for one of my tires. Couldnt have asked for a nicer staff and higher quality service. Highly recommend for any car-related needs!

Had an appointment to replace two rear tires, the front tires were replaced a month ago. At that time manager mentioned rear tires would not pass inspection. I noticed they were removing the front tires and inquired why. Manager stated there was an issue with one of the front tires and that the rear tires did not need to be replaced. The front tires had less than 1000 miles on them and I asked that maybe the tire was defected. Manager become very defensive and confrontations e. I told them I was uncomfortable with the service and stopp the work. Stay away from this place

Called to get car checked because of steering wheel vibration. They were able to see me within minutes. I wasnt sure what I needed but instead of charging me for both balancing and alignment, they just did a balancing based on my description of the symptoms (very honest). Car was in and out in minutes and problem is solved. Kudos to the technician (cant recall his name, started with a S)

Tesla owners, if you are in Dedham area and looking for a tire replacement while on the road? this is the place to go. Costco Auto Center only replace if you buy a tire at their place. I was at the Dedham Tesla SuperCharger for quick charge and started losing pressure in one of the tires(previous plug is losing pressure), since I carry a spare all the time, I called up bunch of tire shops if they can replace, but they scared to touch tesla (not sure why?). The staff from receptionist to mechanic all the guys are very friendly and in and out for me in less than 20 minutes.

Awesome customer service, great mechanics. I ordered some of the cheaper tires and they didnt have them in stock. They gave me much better tires and a great price and service was great! They even threw in an alignment at no charge for the tire issue and wait. Will be my go to for tires in the future and it is a super clean location.Thank you all! Wheels ride amazing!

I highly recommend to not choose the Dedham location.Dedham 3/31/21 (evening)1.)   Unable to plug tire (Requested refund multiple times)2.)   As I walked in, the clerk employee did not acknowledge me and continued to stay on his phone for 10 minutes straight. Also, this included the manager in her office. The gentlemen doing the work in the garage saw me through the glass had to tell the clerk how to do his job.3.)   They claimed that they were unable to pull up my NTB warranty.4.)   They claimed that they were unable to plug my tire AFTER I paid.5.)   They wanted me to purchase four new tires and apply the credit to the tires.6.)   They wanted me to come back call “his manger” in the morning which I did (4/1) for the refund.7.)   Cayenne wanted me to come back in-person for refund. (4/1) Then, she wanted to call me back - she never did.Weymouth 4/1 (morning)1.)   They claimed that they were unable to pull up my NTB records because it only goes up to three years of records.2.)   They claimed tire was unable to be plugged/fixed.Allston 4/1 (evening)1.)   They were able to successfully honor and see my NTB record immediately and plug the tire successfully.- After five calls with Mavis customer service, I have finally got a refund processing today (4/30/21).

I usually go to NTB in order to get my tires replaced, breaks, etc. Not sure if they swapped people or management but the new service is amazing. I only went for a break switch up, and I felt like I was being taken care of more than at any other place. (went to pep boys last time, stay away). Excellent customer service. I came to the Dedham location of Mavis Tire on August 13, 2021.  Our Honda needed a tire rotation plus a patch in one of the tires.Jim and Alpha did an amazing job to resolve these problems. So, I came back with our Jetta.Once again,  their efforts were far above and way beyond an optimal call of duty.Rear shocks, rear brakes, alignment, rotation and tire pressure were fixed and/ or replaced on January 13, 2021.In summary, I would highly recommend each of them for a Quality Award.

After multiple horrible experiences with NTB in Avon. I took a hiatus of using them because I was so displeased, and thought I’m going to only use them for simple task such as oil and tires. Earlier this year I went to them for an oil change and to check to see why my parking brake light was on. Well they informed me a list of things that was wrong stating new struts were needed etc. Since my vehicle is under warranty I took it back to the place I bought it and then the actual vehicle dealership ( CarMax and Mazda) they ran every test in the book and could not find what it was NTB was saying was wrong with my vehicle . They kept my car for a week and a half and found that what NTB found to be wrong was never true or the case . It was simply that the car was low on brake fluid.This week i go to NTB in Dedham to get 4 new tires. After waiting 2 hours to have the tires put on I proceeded to leave. When I left and got almost home the tire pressure light came on, I check the psi it said 15 psi (dangerous) I put air in it, the tire would not take air and instead lost all pressure . I purchased fix a flat and it did not work either . So I had to put the donut on, I brought the car and tire back to NTB the next day and they said it was not sealed properly, gave me $20 for the fix a flat and claim to have fixed it. 24 hours later today I wake up and the car is flat . Kenyan the store manager claims there was a lot of build up on my rim, which made absolutely no sense . All this time I have had this car there was never a flat when I had the original sports tires on the car. So if it was fixed yesterday please explain how the very next day it is flat again. I am sorry but what the store manager said shows that she really has no clue of what is causing this or know how to fix it . I will say they have a pleasant team but the mechanic was more honest than the management . Sam told me it was not properly sealed by whoever put it on during there Thursday night shift .The store managers response was “I can give you $20 for the fix a flat you bought but things like this happen all the time and it’s because of the build up on your rim”So now I have to have the vehicle towed, because in the midst of all this my jack from my trunk somehow is mysteriously missing .I have to say I truly believe this is my last time doing business with this company as a whole, all the locations do a horrible job .

A few years ago, I went there to get an oil change. I was told I needed an alignment on my Honda Civic. I didn’t know much back then so I agreed. I waited from 3pm and left around 8pm. It took that long. What’s worse, I was charged $300 +++. Obviously, I got ripped off. Couldn’t forget that day, never returned since.

They never did wheel alignment I paid for. My front tire still warn out as if no alignment was done. The manager there is dishonest and a cheat. Don’t trust them with your car unless you could watch what they are doing. Then the home office replied to my review. When I called the home office they answered after many calls. When I talked to them nothing was done to solve my issue. I am reporting NTB to better business bureau. I was trying to remove that one star, NTB deserves minus 5 stars. After filing a dispute with better business bureau against NTB, they sent me a $50 coupon.

Horrible customer service, dishonest inexperienced technicians trying to sell you something your vehicle doesn’t need and take advantage of customers in order to make an extra buck in commission.I was at this NTB location Sunday 05/17/2020 to get an alignment and have my 4 New tires Installed and balanced.The technician tried to BS me into buying 4 new tires by telling me that “my tires were going to be shaky and very loud on my vehicle” which was a complete BS.Also the technician wasn’t able to do my alignment correct because he did not straighten my steering wheel before beginning the alignment. when I brought this to his attention he again tried to bs into believing “there was play in my steering rack “ also since I’m a certified tech The next day I decided To check his work, only to find out the technician never even touched the rear camber and toe adjustments in my car.I went back a day after this bad experience To try to have the alignment fixed, only to have another bad experience, i was told by the manager George “I would have to return the next day because the technician that worked on my vehicle wasn’t working that day” since I was unable to return the next day I went back the following day and told them that I would like a refund for the alignment because I wasn’t comfortable with the same guy that screwed up the first time working on my car again, and once again the manager (George) after cussing at me and throwing a tantrum and pretending he was a victim in all this, he made some phone calls and wasted almost an hour of my time, he then told me “I would have to return for my refund once again the next day because he could not get a hold of someone on the phone to authorize the refund” which is absurd and upsetting. I have yet to receive my refund.I brought my car to this place because I don’t have access to the tire balancing and wheel alignment equipment to do it myself. I now wish I brought my business elsewhere but I hope this helps another person avoid the same bad experience I went through.

We had received great service, but am not sure what happened about a year ago.We have brought the car in so many times now for one particular tire. It keeps losing air. Weve been told it was a rusty rim and the air was disappearing from the rim. Then it was a nail. Then it was the sensor. Im there with that problem tire way too often -- probably about every 8-10 weeks.One time I brought it in yet again for that tire, was told I had overfilled it. Yes, I got in the habit of putting air in the tire. The NTB is a half hour away from home, and I just dont have the time on a regular basis. I left NTB and drove to Best Buy, only to have that same problem tire flat when I got out. Turns out that time it was a valve issue. Why wasnt that checked when I spent the morning there?We complained to the store manager, and received free coupons for oil changes. Weve been back since for the same tire, and were told that with the temperature changes sometimes that happens and to wait and see if the light indicator goes back off prior to driving up.Yesterday the light had been on for three days. My husband and I drove the car there and it was in the shop for 2.5h. We were told theres nothing wrong with the tire itself, its probably the sensor but without taking it apart the technician couldnt be sure. And we received an oil change, but the maintenance light is still on because they forgot to turn it off.Really? So both my lights saying theres a problem are still on. Sure, the maintenance light is a non-issue, except now I need to remember the mileage for the next oil change, or drive back up just to have the switch flipped.Having had a flat tire right after leaving your store once has left me jaded. I have four kids and a busy schedule. I need a place where I can bring my car and be confident in the service Im receiving.Thank you for your time

Horrible. Spoke to a guy name George. Told him that I bought a tire from them in the Weymouth location and that it was under warranty. Told him I didn’t think I could make it all the way to Weymouth from my location due to safety concerns with the tire and wanted to see if I can come there to have the tire switched under my warranty since it was within a few miles. Instead of showing concern and consideration for my safety due to a failure with THEIR tire he told me “I can’t do it till Sunday afternoon.” Very direct and stern. Horrible customer service so I hung up. Wow.

I am very disappointed in this shop. They have always been very helpful and have taken care of all my vehicles when I drive in. I’ve had issues with tires in the past and they always take care of the problem in a timely manner. (I have never waited longer than 30 mins for a repair) Last night (5/6/18) I drove in because I was having a problem with the pressure in one of my tires. The time was 5:30pm. The shop closes at 6. My request for service was turned away. It is because I was turned away a 1/2 hour before closing that I will no longer bring my vehicles to this shop.

Ill tell you this much the Dedham, MA location is the worst. I spent 6 and change on Michelin tires only for the fools to take a light year to put them on and align the car incorrect. The mechanic had to tell me what was wrong and I took it back and they confirmed it wasnt aligned. Needless to say I wont be going back to NTB at all. Also, the individuals working on the car didnt know how to start a push start. One of the guys there set off the alarm. Therefore, of course I went out to see what the problem was. I told the genius to put the key in the ignition. He asked me where is the key. I had to actually tell him the key is in your hand.

The guy at the counter checked off the box that they looked at and fixed my tire pressure but they did not! I asked them after an oul change for air in one of my tires that was low and they made it as if I was inconveniencing them. I waited outside because it was supposed to be quick and herd my car making horrible noises. Thats because they were driving it around the lot with the emergency brake on. The brake they set! I have never used the E brake. I will never go back there for a $60 oil change

This place Sucks. They f@#$%d up my Bosss BMW 750iL during a winter tire changeover. They told me 3 hours after the car was suppose to be ready,then they blamed the last people after I watched the manager George and some 20 year old kid trying to Jam the lug nuts back in. I had to leave the car and was told it would be ready by noon It is now noon and they dony even have the F@$#kin parts yet. and the lead mechanic said he has never worked on a BMW. This place is a Fu$^&ing Joke. they have already wasted over 9 hours of my time over a 2 day period. I am more than P!$$&d off. if I could give these guys a negative 5 stars I would. The District Manager better call me or they are going to get a 93a lawsuit against them.

I scheduled an appointment online to have two new rear tires installed on my Jeep Cherokee 4x4 (the front pair had been replaced about a year ago). When I dropped the car off, I was told it would take about an hour and a half; about an hour and a half later, I received a call from the manager stating that he refused to install only two tires, citing that the car is four wheel drive and different tread depths would ruin my transmission and transfer case. He even suggested that my transmission may already be destroyed, and that whoever (a reputable tire and auto service chain) installed only two new tires on the front would be liable when it goes. I was given an ultimatum: buy four new tires or take my business elsewhere.Of course, the concern for identical tread depths in automatic, full-time AWD vehicles is legitimate. However, my vehicle is part-time 4WD, meaning that outside of snow storms and slippery road conditions, I drive with only the rear wheels engaged. It is difficult to argue that when driving through several inches of snow, on ice, or any other scenario where traction is poor, minimal tread depth discrepancies could possibly have a materially negative impact on the drive train. Further, situations where 4WD is engaged constitutes what is likely less than 1% of aggregate driving time. While four identical tires may be ideal, it is in no way a necessity for part-time 4WD vehicles, and certainly should not be the cause for a refusal of service on an 18-year-old car.I am obviously frustrated by the lack of knowledge these professionals seemed to exhibit in this area, as well as the fact that it took 90 minutes for them to tell me they wouldnt do it. If it is truly a company policy to not install only two tires on 4WD vehicles (as cited by the manager), apparently not all employees are aware of it. The entire experience was a complete, unnecessary waste of my time.Thankfully, on my way home I was able to get two new tires installed from a reputable, national chain that has an understanding of the differences between AWD and part-time 4WD vehicles.On a somewhat unrelated note, the individual who initially checked me said they didnt have the right tires in stock; he was looking at the wrong tire size. He clearly did not look at any of the information I provided when I booked the appointment, which specified the tires I needed (shown to be in stock at the location). It is disconcerting to have to walk the professional through which tires I needed.2 stars because despite the above, the location was clean, there was free coffee and I liked being able to schedule an appointment online.

Awful, a ran over a nail and had a slow leak. Went to this location to get it either fixed or swapped for my spare and I was told we cant get to it today. Two hours before closing and I needed it so I can drive home. Awful customer service, BJs fixed it for me same hour and didnt leave me stranded on the road.
