My food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The rest of my party also enjoyed their foods. The ice cream and brownies were the best Ive ever had and the crinkle fries were seasoned so well. I highly recommend to anyone trying to find a restaurant to eat at.
I have been craving Chicken and Waffles for some time now. We called ahead to confirm they did actually have it on the menu and so we came to try it. We had a bit of a wait, started to get concerned when folks that came in after us started to get served first. Eventually our order came in, it was the first time the chicken was ever served covered in powdered sugar. I am used to it being a combination of sweet, the waffle and savory, the chicken. I had it with a side of hashbrowns overall the meal was good, tho I feel that the savory was really missing from the experience.
Very Fun and cozy environment on the Square. Got greeted immediately after coming in By a waitress named Jessica very nice and informative about the menu. The customer service was phenomenal. She was so fun and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. We got our food pretty fast. It wasnt expensive and the Food was amazing!!! We got The Half Texas style french toast, the philly cheese stake omelette, The chicken fried stake with eggs, and the Strawberry Nutella Banana pancakes! Honestly best Diner Ive been too here in Denton its a Must go! We are gonna have Dinner there later again lol Bon Appetit! π
Good food, bad service!I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the flavors were great but I couldnt eat it as it was brought to the table, the bacon was strange and extremely tough to bite into.I took the bacon out of the burger and the burger was just fine, eating the bacon by itself was very chewy I couldnt even bite thru it, it was more like jerky than bacon.Super nice people but its a restaurant not a social gathering, the waitresses spent more time talking to their friends then attending the customers.Update to the response by the owners..Ill pass it was a nice place to eat at but the staff make it not worth returning.Thanks for the reply tho but ill pass!
Amazing food! We had chicken and blueberry waffles and Billyβs Dirty Bowl β sooooo good! I couldnβt stop smiling! Shelby is an excellent server and made the experience even better. Thank you! We will be back!
I love eating at Dixs. The food is made fresh to order and it is always great! The wait staff are awesome as well. I think my favorite thing is the cinnamon roll french toast. French toast made with cinnamon rolls and sweet enough that you dont need syrup. Yum!

Great experience especially because of Jessica. She was very knowledgeable of the menu which was helpful as a first time guest. She was personable and customer service was a top priority. Again great experience and I will definitely be back.

I grew up in the Detroit area. I cannot remember when I had my first coney dog. The chili was pretty good. I liked the seasoned french fries. The hot dog itself was good, but not the same as in Detroit. I will go back, and try other things though. They have a good looking breakfast menu, and the are open late (12am).
Was excited to try this spot that is so close to our house; was unfortunately disappointed by how rude the staff was. Sign near the door that says βseat yourselfβ and every person that sat down at a table was asked to wait by the door. Not sure weβll be back after our initial reaction and the staffβs demeanor.
Food was delicious but the bacon on my burger was chewy and stringy. I had to spit most of it out to prevent choking on it. Still would definitely come back! Loved the atmosphere and the fries were simply delicious!!!
Food itself was great when we received it. Our server could be better trained on time management techniques and needs to write things down - memorizing orders isnt impressive when things are missed. We received our onion ring appetizer after we had finished our food.Staff was otherwise pleasant and, again, the food was delicious.
I cant believe the Reuben I just had. My goodness. It was amazing. It was the MOST tender corned beef Ive ever had in my life. Like so tender it falls apart from just looking at it. And the fries are just as great! Super seasoned and perfect. This is the Reuben I will compare all future ones to. I will be back for more.
A great little place off the Denton Square. It has amazing corned beef, coney dogs, and breakfast. I have eaten here many times, and I will be back many more times.
If you live in Denton or are traveling Dix is somewhere you have to stop!! Their food every time is amazing and the staff is always super sweet. Their breakfast is to die for and the rest of the menu is great as well, not to mention the homemade deserts. Simply mouth watering!
This is one of my favorite places to go! Iβm a vegetarian so Iβm picky about where I eat. I come here and they know exactly what to offer me! Also my favorite waitress is named Jessica! Sheβs fabulous! I look forward to seeing her every time I come in because sheβs just so friendly and takes the time to get to know you!

Honestly the best food Ive eaten in a while. This place was beyond belief tasty. The seasoning on their fries was amazing, and the French toast was great. I got the full order, which came with 6 slices. Tasted kinda like ginger in my opinion. Anyways, the only problem I came across was the syrup bottle being sticky. It was a refillable glass bottle so Im sure they need to clean them sometimes. There was no wait on a Saturday night.
Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love this place, and I have been here many times with my friend. Itβs like tradition for us to come here and order delicious brownies while we talk about what has happened since the last time we saw each other.I have always adored and cherished this place as somewhere that I can come and order good food. I was completely devastated today when the server, Lilly, completely ignored our table after serving us.My friend and I ordered our brownies and proceeded to catch up, when I overheard someone say, βcan you not afford to order real food?β I pushed this statement off, as I assumed I was overhearing another customerβs conversation, and I was more focused on talking with my friend. After enjoying our desserts, my friend and I sat at our table for over an hour, and no one checked in on us even once. Weβre both people that work in customer service, so we kindly waited, hoping that someone would come by and give us our tickets.I continued to make eye contact with Lilly and so did my friend, and not once did Lilly come over. At closing (10pm on Sunday), another server came over, and we asked for our checks. He proceeded to scan our cards and give us our receipts. As we filled out our receipts and signed them, Lilly was nowhere to be seen.Once done with our checks, we left. I then saw Lilly come out from the back, mask down, smiling, watching us leave. As stated earlier, Iβm not accusing Lilly of making that statement, but I want to make it very clear that no one should ever be humiliated like that. My friend and I can very well afford whatever we so please to eat, and if you have a problem with us ordering a brownie, you should learn professionalism.We will be coming back, but this attitude and atmosphere will not be tolerated. Came here for breakfast on a beautiful snowy day, had to wait 15 minutes before even getting our water and coffee. Our waitress was nice, But tables who got there after us got served first even though their order was larger and taken after ours. We sat and watched food sit on the heated expo for 10 minutes before the waiters even noticed them. Manager was absent. Eventually got our food and it was cold, and mediocre at best. Had to have the waitress re-heat it. She did and said she would give us a discount, which she forgot to do when she gave us the check. She did fix it for us when we mentioned it.Atmosphere is lively and nice, but wouldnt recommend to come here at a busy time or expect much.

Locally noted all night cafe that has cut back hours of operation sure to the pandemic. Not the widest selection of dishes, but its all tasty comfort food.

Absolutely disgusting and atrocious. The coney dogs taste like literal hot dog water, my server Nancy had an outrageous attitude, I did not feel welcome here at all. The eggs were like rubber and the so called βbaconβ had the texture of dirty sandals. Absolutely horrifying experience.

The Avocado on the burger should not have been served. It was old. Also, the patty was broken into two pieces. Thankfully, the server replaced both. The hot dogs are way overpriced for the amount and quality of food you get (see picture). Theyβre basically something you could get at your local grocery store in a pack of 8 for 5 bucks. For the price, I would say this place was not worth it, but I did appreciate the kind service after I voiced my complaints with the burger

Service was great! No one else there this Tuesday morning and we were taken care of very well. Come hungry, the plates are quite massive. We will be back to try other plates, but breakfast was amazing!

Would absolutely not recommend dining here for several reasons... a blonde lady sat us at a booth in the far back of the restaurant and it was fine at first until she proceeded to sit another group of people in close proximity to us right next to us with little to no space which raised red flags. Along with that they were maskless the whole time and my mom shared our concerns to the waiter and did nothing to handle the situation as if Covid did not seem to be a big deal(And mind you this was during when social distancing rules applied in November of 2020 !!!) ..In the end my mom had to suggest to the waitress to move us to another booth instead of addressing how her seating another family close to us was violating social distancing procedures. The food in addition was not worth the long wait and was mediocre, the grilled cheese seemed like something you can probably make at home with craft cheese and some bread and was ridiculously small in portion. I definitely recommend spending your money somewhere else in the square rather than this place and it sure was disappointing in many aspects
My waitress was wonderful! The food was very bland. My sons even said it tasted weird. The 4 stars is for the service alone! SHE. Was very kind to the 5 of us and made sure we were taken care of so far as things that depended on what she could do!
First time here. Apparently sat at a stool that was too close to others but was not taped off as such andaccosted by a rude waitress at the counter that assumed I knew what her rules where. She went overboard instead of clarifying what the issue was and asked me to leave. Sat at a table with a much nicer waitress and had a great time otherwise.Shame I wont be back on principle. Tipped well and the burger was good.

Took my son there for breakfest on Sunday a few weeks ago, food was great, great atmosphere, great place, would go again. Thumbs up.
Ok, its Mothers Day and I came in early morning to order to go for my wife. Along with our food we asked for a side of Cholula sauce and an apple juice. After a short wait for our food we returned and this is where they really went above and beyond. They waited until we came back to pour the juice so it would be cold and fresh and they offered my daughter a lolipop. The customer service was absolutely on point - they were so friendly and inviting despite being super busy. On top of everything I noticed that they gave us an entire bottle of Cholula in our to go bag! Food was great as well. Overall a really fantastic experience on a very busy day for them.
Jessica is the best server i have ever had! She remembers your drinks, and past orders and really puts time into knowing her customers.

One of my favorite places to eat in denton!! Never had a bad experience! Servers are always so friendly and can start a conversation with us with no awkwardness! Food is always served hot and delicious! If you have a sensitive tummy towards dairy, be sure to take some medicine beforehand!! Hahaha user error! But will always recommend this place!
I am not the one that likes to post reviews at all! From Detroit! I have come here before because of the coneys. When I came into the restaurant I order 2 coneys. This picture below is what I got! I am super disappointed when I receive my plate! Really on white grilled toast! Wont recommend this place again when I see other Michiganders! If someone asks for good place to eat some coneys not here!

It was Sunday around 6pm and the place we wanted to go was busy so we walked around and chose Dix. We had the place to ourselves for a bit and the service was great. Food was very good as well! Id definitely return and try something new, the menu has quite a variety of choices.

Decided to walk around the square and choose a random new place to eat and ended up here. The coney dog was disgusting and the ground beef served with was awful. The server seemed completely out of it and I work in the serving industry as well so, not sure if she was deprived due to finals week or what. The other waiter that was around was definitely helpful, but it seemed like our server was just trying to go home and sleep. I ordered the green chili hamburger and my goodness the quality was worse than McDonaldβs. My boyfriend ordered a pastrami burger...not sure what it was but it was actually really good as well as the fries we got as a starter. Anyways the decor inside was cute, but definitely would not recommend to anyone.
We ordered our food through Uber eats, when we got the food there was a bread tie in my husbands hamburger. This was our first time ordering from this location, and I dont believe I will be ordering again or eating at the location.

I have tried this place multiple times around dinner time in hopes that theyd be better. This time, when we received our meals they were barely mediocre. Chili is definitely not homemade (if it is, it definitely doesnt taste like it) and I feel like they only remain in business due to it being the only restaurant on the square thats open all day and night. Ive heard the breakfast is great but I wish it was great all day. Besides that, Lilly is a good waitress
Wait staff was very friendly! We went here because they serve Coney dogs and my husband is from Detroit so we wanted to check the authenticity. It was very good! Hubs said biting into the smothered chili dog reminded him very much of home. Cant wait until we can go back!
