Excellent book store. One the few left in the so called Big Box tradition. Its also got a textbook section upstairs and a Starbucks downstairs. Lots of Wayne State University apparel and memorabilia. They also sell school supplies and tech stuff. If you need a quick snack after an afternoon of study, they have a convenience store there too.

Good student bookstore. Good range of school clothing. Nice Starbucks. It has the typical up-pricing of a University Bookstorea

Reviewing this as a bookstore for the general public and not just students, its one of only a handful of bookstores in Detroit, and its decently well-stocked if youre just looking for something random to flip through. If youre looking for anything specific, even if its something relatively common that most people have read, they probably wont have it. They also just employ a bunch of college kids who dont have much of an interest in working there. Theyre not unfriendly, but I dont think theyre really going to go out of their way to help you find what youre looking for too often. Better just skip it and go to a non-chain store or a much larger Barnes and Noble. This one is only a tenth the size of a strip mall B&N.

I am talking about the Textbook section only, I have no idea about their other books. A good chunk of their textbooks were out of stock. They have super inflated prices on textbooks. For example, I was looking at a psych book and it was $180ish used and over $200 for new. I found the same book brand new on Amazon for $60. Do your research before getting your books here. The help desk was friendly and helpful when I asked for help though, that was one redeeming quality.

Discounts at Barnes and Noble should also apply to Wayne State Barnes and Noble. Planners are $30-$40 dollars and online they are 50% off for (online and in-store purchases) but it doesn’t apply to the “Wayne state” book store. Expensive and ripping off students.

Returned a book that had about 5 pages of faded print after 200 page in reading. The Staff was professional, understanding, and pleasant. Kudos.

It was good service. And I like playing with the automatic doors. I have a pushcart that goes with me everywhere. Those automatic doors are helpful.

Last year I spent $500 on textbooks from this store. I looked online to see how much I could sell my books back for and they said about $100, but not wanting to go through the hassle of mailing all my books I took a trip to this bookstore. Today while trying to sell back the same textbooks I was told book after book this book has no value. Im starting to think this store has no value. Buy and sell online

This Barnes & Noble is located at Wayne State University Bookstore the people there are very friendly. When you go or call to get a book they will check for you and put it on hold with no hesitation.

Has a Starbucks inside that offers discount for WSU staff/employees. Bookstore has textbooks upstairs and apparel, books, tech, etc. downstairs. Check their website for a coupon for submitting your email, usually a 25% off one item coupon.

Textbooks are seriously expensive here. And when you go to buy them at the beginning of the semester, the lines are halfway across the store due to a lack of registers. Service is friendly, and the Starbucks is a nice touch.

The hours posted are not right, drove an hour to find out they were closed. I ordered a textbook online, and then found it for $220 cheaper. Way over priced
