Not your typical Myers but still you could get your essentials and its pretty easy to find stuff and all the staff was easily helpful try telling where things were thanks for keeping the whole store clean everyone seemed all friendly and everything and whatnot good job Myers staff 8 Mile and Woodward

Sale items are usually great deals, but prices are normally higher than average for non-sale items, so check out the weekly flyer to plan your purchases. Like most retailers in this pandemic environment, they are short on help, which results in long checkout lines. They do keep the store well fairly stocked, organized and clean.

They have an awesome variety of products If only their employees didnt appear upset. No one i encountered had a pleasant disposition except checkout. The checkout experience and clerk was nice.

I was very disappointed in this Meijer. Poor selections. The largest section of this store is the liquor department. Detroit needs better grocery stores than this. This may be a decent liquor store but I’ll have to continue driving to the burbs for groceries.

Very large and clean looking store. There seems to be an abundance of empty space when you first walk in, not sure why there’s so much wasted space. Also, the electronics section to the right, when you first walk in appears to be under construction right now, so you’re not able to shop in that area at this time. It would also be great if there were more fresh grab and go food options near the deli. I only saw a few subs that looked like they’ve been there for a while. They have a great produce section with a lot of options which was great to see.

They have everything you need. Always plenty of fresh produce. Meijer employs UFCW labor union associates that earn good wages and benefits. The issue I have with Meijer is that they try to force you to use the self checkout lanes. They only open a few lanes that use actual people to check your out and bag your purchases. This has nothing to do with a labor shortage. They have operated this way for years. Demand that they open up cash registers. Help employ real people, not machines. Working people that pay taxes and spend money in your community. Do not use “self checkout”.

I’m not gonna say this is the worst Meijer I’ve ever been to - no, I’m gonna say this is the worst STORE I’ve ever been to.. Consistently..If you love being threatened by store employees, you should shop here. If you love being insulted for your race, you should shop here. If you love having to take pictures of the prices of items on the shelves because none of them will ring up correctly, you should shop here.I have gone to management, written to corporate and given this store many chances. They would be better off just shutting it down and starting over. This place is a disgrace

This Wonderful woman named Shirleen assisted me and my 13 year old daughter locate a microwave that was on sale and the LAZY ELECTRONICS MANAGER CHRIS said that there wasnt ANY and wouldnt speak to me directly and it took him 30 minutes to come into the department and he doesnt pick up when hes page either! Also the Adult Security Guard asked my minor 13 year old daughter for her telephone number! And pretend like he didnt know she was underage after I very in politely told him off! So because of the wonderful Shirleen is the ONLY person who gave me a 5 star experience!

This Meijer Location is a big one!!! They always have a Detroit PD on standby for any assistance and safety. Inside is very organized and the separation with grocery and general merchandise is pretty distinct. Great selection and a gas station outside. Great location and they have a nearby stores that you can easily walk and shop in.

Clean. Decent amount of aisles open. Shelves are restocked around 10am if especially if your looking for Oat Milk and anything else diary. I get my fish during the week, getting it during the weekend after 2pm is slim pickings. I wish they had more wild-caught. I havent had any issues with produce spoiling before I can use it.

Gave this location several chances & each time disappointing👎 Produce is GARBAGE...bought strawberries 2 days ago (looked great)...this morning rotten & Moldy🤮 Bought 4qts.& 13🍓 salvageable! Inventory stinks!! ½ the time shelves R empty & ½ options R minimal. As a single Mom, I shop wisely & I literally tossed💲in the trash, which makes me mad as hell! Cant give 0⭐ so they get 1⭐ONLY the location rite off 75 convenient.

They have nice things but not enough staff it takes forever to get something with no assistance.

This Meijer is always super busy, but theres always a couple cops there for security. Ive never felt unsafe there. They always have what I need and staff is usually polite

Items were plentiful and easily found.

My favorite bi weekly spot for lean cuisine and healthy choice dinners. I also buy my house plants here. Theyre always pretty well stocked, the cashiers are always friendly & the lines move fast.

This store is close to home, very safe. Clean, orderly. The customer service is incredible. Favorite Meijer.

I went to self checkout (@8:20am 5/04/2021) I only had two items. I had picked up a 24 pack of nestle pure life water. The sign in the water aisle was 3.99 and 4.99. I took a picture of the sign so I could a price match. I waited for employee to finally come over. I showed her the pictures. She asked some else to go check. Her co worker informed her that those were the only prices listed and to give it to me for that price. Instead she made me wait longer to ask her manager. Her manger then took forever to come. The manager then stated that they do not bring the water into the store. I’m well aware that other people/companies bring in the water&pop. She then said “I can’t give it to you for that price because it’s ringing up as $6.19 and we have a sign in the front of the store.” I’m more upset that both employees had me wait for 10 minutes to say that. I got the water from the water aisle not the front of the store.

Good clean store lines are always a long wait need more people to work the check out lines

I dont like it they need more employees for the different sections theres more food than anything else. Selection isnt that good when it comes to other things so a lot of times Ill wind up going to Walmart 🙄🙄🙄

Stock was pretty low and this Meijer isnt like other ones that Ive been too. Is almost as if its a test store

Whenever I shop at Meijer, I always find more than what Im looking for... and generally check out needing 2 carts. I always thank the cashiers for their hard work. 😁

Great location, they run out of popular items quite often. For a store of this size, they need daytime stockers to maintain the shelves. I expect more of a big box store. There is never employees around to answer questions or assist with finding products.

This 8 mile Meijers is a cut above the store on grand river. Larger, stocked well, bigger selection of food. I like shopping here when I get a chance.

Love meijer but they never have the beef out when you are there and its not that they dont have any they just say something like it will be 15 to 30 minutes well this usually is a sale item and more than I be waiting for it I try to run in and get out since Corona hit

My car broke down but I was able to be helped by gentleman name Lamar who helped me push my vehicle to a safe spot .. we talked about many things including our wives when we laugh we both shook hands and we was glad that we met each other and I was able to get back home safe He reminded me about the car issue that I fixed thank you thank you thank youMostly, ALL OF GOD. ALSO my wife SPENT $106.13 ..A miracle was happening before my EYES !

One stop location grocery shop and pay my bills awesome

The 8 Mile location was horrible. And bumped into my special needs child. The man called me a liar when I told the police & manager. Security did nothing. The same man almost bumped into me.

2nd time going, finds everything fast and employees were nice.

The store is very convenient in the location it is in and on top of that they have quite a few stores in that strip customer service on a rate 1 through 5 Ill give it a four as far as the inventory they are pretty well stacked up what I mean is you can find what you are looking for

Detroit meijer has some stuff other meijers dont have its clean and the workers a recurteous and helpful

Found what I was looking for my daughter needed new shoes and I found some cute Skechers in the store was very clean

Clean and well stocked despite how busy this location is. New self checkouts are slightly less chaotic then before.

It might have just been the time of day or year or week, but the shelves were pretty bare. Check out was fast. That was a pleasant surprise. Maybe a better review will come along after the pandemic.

This Meijer was clean not crowded and has parking if you are going to be in the store 15 minutes or less. How cool is that.

All associates are helpful.l was in two aisles where stock was being put out. Both employees asked if I needed help finding something.

The building is clean. People social distance, employees look happy. Things are stocked correctly and easy to find. Much better then the Meijers over in Warren and sterling heights

This meijer has improved. Still confused as to why it isn’t 24 hour like all of the other locations.

I loved the quality of the vegetables and deli. I was only accompanying someone else to this particular market, but I found this Meijers that was better quality than some others. The problem with this store is there was no welcoming attendants at the door, very impersonal, ignores the guests coming and going in or out of the store. I would not make any attempt to travel that distance.

What can I say its Meijers, very useful and a good place to shop.

I will never come here again. I cant believe this is what my ground beef looks like. If I could I would give them no star at all! My photos show the date on the meat and I took a screenshot of the time and date on my phone to show when the pic was taken.

On Thursday, July 1st, I went to the Meijer on 8/Woodward in Detroit, to purchase an air mattress. There were not any of this particular one on the shelf, but there was a spot/tag for it, so I asked a sales associate if they had any in stock, and he checked and there were 9 in stock he said. I asked if he can check in the back, and his reply was I dont know where they would be in the stockroom and then he walked away. So, now frustrated, I was like, well, Ill just order it online for PICKUP, go eat dinner, and come back. I was able to order it online (since it still said it was in stock) and then about an hour and a half later, a shopper for SHIPT texted me that she couldnt find the air mattress. I explained to her that they do have them in stock, but theyre just in the back apparently, so she even asked a sales associate and they wouldnt help her either. The MOST FRUSTRATING part about this whole experience was you would think going to meijer.com and ordering for store PICKUP that an actual Meijer associate would put together your order and take the time and diligence to find the item. But nope. They sent a third-party to look for and experience the same poor customer service that I experienced in-store as well. I understand using a third-party for delivery services because I do that line of work as well, but if Im going to a stores website directly and ordering for PICKUP, I would expect and assume a Meijer associate to actually find the item and put my order together like Walmart does. Definitely wont be using the Meijer pickup service anymore. That was my first and last time trying that service.

Store is very good but is often BUSY. Is also slightly smaller than most Meijer stores (I think) and isnt open 24 hours. Clerks do a good job of getting people through checkout ASAP despite the regular crowds of people.
