This place is a waste of time and money. I brought my fusion in twice during the month of October, my company car (lease plan). This place “fixed” the spark plug issue after a day, but the check engine came on a week later.I brought it in again, they “fixed” it again, this time after taking two full days to do it, even after they botched it the first time. Check engine light was gone for another week.Check engine light just came on for the third time this month. Not going to waste my time bringing it back to these guys, because I’m confident after the last two times going, they can’t fix anything right. Save yourself the trip and bring your vehicle anywhere else.

Took my car because it was overheating. First they tell me I need a thermostat. They put a new one in. The call me again to tell me it didnt fix it and is still overheating than they tell me I need a coolant flush they did it and just to call me again and tell me now I need a water pump. Total amount 1200 for everything. All they did is throw part at it which anybody can do. I spend 500 just for a thermostat and a coolant flush I decided to take my car to different facility where they actually have technician not part installer. All it took was a original gm thermostat and the car is fix. Beware of this repair shop they are money hungry and just throw part at it. They dont Ase certified tech. Just glorify lube

Had a problem with one of my tires late in the day. They got me in took care of the problem and went over everything they checked on my vehicle. Being a holiday weekend it was a great releif knowing my car was safe to travel. Was treated very well !

This is the second time this issue has gapped. My wife took her car for an oil change a very simple job for a professional shop. The next day a puddle of oil under the car in the drive way. I checked and they didnt clean off the oil on the undercarriage when they draind the oil and was dripping from the under carraige which made a stain on our concrete drive way. When I got in the car the oil light came on and it had the same message oil change due. They didnt even reset the oil light. Granted on this vehicle it is very easy to reset takes about 5 seconds. This just shows the lack of professionalism and care for customers. When I called an employee said we can take care of the oil light no kidding it takes 5 seconds to reset the indicator light and said maybe the tech forgot to clean the undercarriage. Why wouldnt you do it in the first place. I rather take my car to the dealership which costs double but at least they will take the the extra 5 minutes and do the job right.

Driving down I-88 I had a blow out on a tire that I had bought not 24 hrs earlier from another company. It was to my great fortune that I was less than 2 miles away from Firestone.My wife called from the highway and told them that we were on our way once we changed the spare and we were told that a ticket was started and they would be waiting for us.When we got there that is when we met Bud. The young man working behind the counter who was a literal life savior. He was patient, knowledgeable, and kind. He helped me find a replacement for my blown out tire and with-in 30 minutes my car was good as knew.Bud also gave me some knowledgeable advice on why a brand new tire could fail to better serve me when I go back for my refund from the other place.Any and all of my tire needs will now be done with Firestone and their amazing employees. I dont need a DISCOUNT on my TIREs. I need to know that when my whole family is in the car their health and safety is gaurded and protected.Firestone, Bud, and that crew who were working on 1/24/21 assured me that safety, quality, and competent individuals had my best interests as their focal point.You would have made Harvey proud.

I think this Firestone in Downers Grove has very good customer service and car service. Anthony and the crew have been very attentive to my needs and schedule. Being a single Christian father, life can be busy and overwhelming. Anthony and the crew certainly understand and have helped me overcome me feel better! Thank you Anthony and Firestone! Worse place ever. I changed all four tires less than a month ago. They sold me an insurance along with them and I spend about 800 bucks. Last Friday, my front tire just blew before getting onto the freeway. It was a traumatic experience. I got towed to their facilities in Downers Grove. When I went to pick up my car, I was told I had to pay for the tire. I thought this was so unfair since I haven’t had this tire not even a month and purchased the insurance. Their explanation was that they couldn’t prove that the tire was defective. I spoke to a manager and he told me there was nothing they can do. I didn’t want to fight, but I never go back to Firestone. I will go to Micheline tire or any other competitor. If anyone asks me about Firestone, I’ll make sure they know about my bad experience with them. So unfair. Only because I wasn’t rude or fight with their staff, I was charged for this tire.

Switching two summer tires for my two winter tires. Quoted $75 + tax (!)Had appointment and sat in the waiting room.It took them exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes to figure out they cant remove the nuts to take the wheels off. 2016 Mercedes Benz S550, stock everything (17mm, six sided socket).Firestone. Professional tire store - joke!

Bud is your guy. If firestone is a company that values customer service, it should value employees like Bud. Im no one special but I definitely felt like Bud cared about delivering good service. All I needed was some air in my tire, and it seemed like no one had the time of day to help me with a free service. No one but Bud. He did it with a smile too. Just a nice young man.

Nice people, quick response, and everything worked after the job was completed. However I cant get over the $220 labor charge to change one headlight. My other headlight recently went dead and I changed it myself in 5 minutes. I wonder what else I got ripped off on.

Unprofessional, rude, without any respectSince I got in told them my phone number they told me they cannot find my lifetime alignment records on my vehicle, but yes they were able to find the car I had 5 years ago.....I showed them a proof of receipt and they magically found it under my name.....Probably they got offended by that and from that minute they Started acting rude, Especially Anthony some kind of manager or something, after sometime waiting for the alignment to get done when I got the paper with the adjustment before and current, looked like that instead of making it properly many of the specs from green went in red and were off more thant before, And one more time to get out of that they were trying to figure out some excuses, and the same guy Anthony just turned around and left without any answer with rude attitude,So I just want to be answered why when you go to do alignment instead of making it better the spec measurements got worse?Perfect way of doing business!

My battery died at a gas station and it was 5pm. I called a few places to see if they could get my battery installed that night and they were all about to close. I got a jump and drove across the street to Firestone. From the time I walked in, I was taken care of. Bud was friendly and engaging throughout the process and kept me updated on what was happening. It was no problem that it was so late. They found the battery I wanted, got my car pulled in, replaced it, and got me out of there in 30 minutes! The price was the same as anywhere else and on top of that I got 10% off for being a veteran. Id recommend this Firestone to everyone.

Went for a tire repair, was told that the tire was damaged from the inside and wouldnt recommend driving on it. A quote for two tires a little over five hundred was given so the tires would wear evenly. Remembered after I left that I had purchased an extra warranty and took my vehicle to that original merchant. For starters the original merchant did not find any damages to the tire, most importantly a good merchant will not place a damage tire back on a vehicle. Moral of the story, Im never going back.

Took my car here yesterday cause 1 tire leaking that are Michelins and only have 30k miles on them. They told me tires are all cracked and nails in 2 of the other tires but didnt find a leak in the one that is leaking. Told me need all new tires. So took car to Fullers Auto Repair in Countryside where I go the tires and he found the tire stem was leaking on one tire that had been leaking and fixed for free. Also took tire off and showed me no cracks in tires at all. My tires are fine. Thats Firestone trying to screw a woman!!!!!

The service was good. They did a good job except my tire light went back on after they repaired my tire. I found all the tires were way over inflated. There ride was very hard.

Great experience. Good prices.I priced shopped by calling 11 stores in the Downers Grove area looking for the best price for mounting and balancing a set of tires and rims. I then decided on letting Firestone on Ogden do the work. I dropped off a set of rims and tires to be mounted and balanced and they were able to have them ready the next morning.Upon inspection of their work, I noticed they used clip-on wheel weights, instead of the adhesive wheel weights which I requested. After bringing this to there attention, they promptly re-balanced the tires with adhesive weights. They seemed obliged to do the re-work without it being a hassle. Then they bagged the tires, to prevent the interior of my car getting dirty and loaded them for me.The guys working in the office were courteous and friendly as well as the guys in the shop. I go through a lot of tires on my cars (racing) and will gladly return with my business.Overall it was a great experience.

I called about replacement tires for my Ford crown victoria and spoke with Anthony on the phone. He was polite and gave me a few choices that fit my budget.Ill have to schedule time to get my car to them in a few weeks. But it was nice not feeling rushed because I was asking for a quote over the phone and going over what fit my budget.Ill update once I schedule time to get tires installed.*UPDATE* 9/7/19 visit.. I visited this Firestone to finally order my tires. Anthony called me to say my tires were in and shortly after showing up they got everything mounted and balanced.I loaded the tires and rims into my car and headed home. I look forward to installing these tires for the winter once it gets cooler out. Id go back again for future needs based off the service Id received.

I have had both of my cars serviced here multiple times as my cars have gotten to a ripe age. Ive always had a great experience, although i will say that like many places, your experience can depend on which team member you are dealing with. Eric, the manager, has gone out of his way to find parts and what labor to quote for the best value. Fair prices and honest advice. I had an issue due to a miscommunication and it was resolved to my satisfaction. This is the only place I will take my car until I have a reason not to.

From the moment I arrived until I left (15 minutes) the same car was on the lift not getting its oil changed. You see, I had made a reservation for today, but the front desk person said it was for tomorrow. I showed him the print out proof it was for today. The so called manager said he did not know why they did not call me to tell me that they rescheduled it for tomorrow. They do not have enough staff.So, basically I wasted time and gas going there and they changed the appointment without telling me. Dont waste your time going here.

Erik, the store manager has consistently been excellent in his dealings with me. Hes pretty much everything that I would have expected in a good service manager, quoted parts and labor charges upfront in a transparent way without any hidden service fees, communicated consistently regarding the status of my car, did not try to oversell me on services I did not need, and was willing to send me photos of the issues he found while working on my car. He also automatically applied the most discounts and promotions currently being offered by Firestone without me asking him. Im sure Firestone is not the lowest price out there for the services I needed, but Erik still did what he could to fit my needs and my budget. I also chose them because of the convenience of the location and the hours they were open on Sunday. Saved me a whole ton of trouble and time due to this simple fact. Would recommend this location because of Eriks service specifically, hopefully he stays there.

If customer service is important to a business this place just swung and missed miserably. 2 hours until closing and I bring my wife’s car here to get a nail in the tire fixed. Keep in mind we have been return customers here for years with all of our vehicles and have purchased all extended warranties on tires and they say we can’t fix your tire today. Only 2 vehicles in the shop and 2 hours until closing and they can’t fix a hole in a tire? It’s not like I’m buying 4 new tires, it’s a small patch job. So extra money for tire warranties from firestone when you need them will get you nothing.

Made an appt, and had oil change that took only 45 min. Very personable. Recommend.

Update: I like a dummy took the truck back to them to look at the brakes. They quoted me $1700 which is more than I can afford. I called to tell them I was having it towed home - spoke to Roberto. An hour later the manager Hans calls me to yell at me. I said I spoke to Roberto an hour ago. So they half ass threw everything back together and left a part in the front seat.I have waited to write this review but at this point I feel this location has taken advantage of me because I am a woman who doesnt know a lot of cars/trucks. I originally brought my sons 1988 truck into the shop because it was dying out. They must have jumped up and down when they say me coming. They gave me a laundry list of things that were wrong with the truck. I did the main repairs that I could afford and said I would come back when I had more money. A few days later the truck was still dying out. Brought it back, they said well you need to replace the alternator. So I did. Truck still dying out, took it back they said there was a fuel leak causing it to die so fixed that and replaced the throttle body. To date I have spent over $2000 and the truck is still dying!!!! Never get a straight answer, and they never fix the problem. I work three jobs and just want my son to be in a safe vehicle. I didnt mind spending the money to get it safe but it is STILL DYING!!!!!

Great customer service, quick repairs and fair prices. My only real complaints that I have was that it took an hour longer than I was told. I happened to be waiting there with my three children so this was a little irritating to me. The other issue that I had was that while waiting there, they had Family Guy playing on the TV there and my kids added some new words and phrases to their vocabulary. i should have changed the channel but other people were already watching. I didnt feel comfortable walking and changing the station. I think they should be more careful about what shows they play in the store.

Good mechanics but they can be forgetful. Forgot about my car several times, said they were ordering parts, never did. I ended up going somewhere else

I had a very bad experience with them and that was my very first time I was visiting them.I called them for a battery change for the same day but they said they are completed occupied and gave an appointment the next day by 5 PM.I went by the appointment time gave them my keys and asked them to do an winter inspection check as well.They told me it will take probably a 45 minutes to 1 hour to do both.I thought to wait! after 40 minutes of waiting I thought to poke my head out (It was dark by that time) and I saw my car is still parked outside at the same spot where I left. I really got shocked. I yelled at the person who took the keys and asked if they got any idea on servicing my car today or not. He then checked his system and he came to know that he had put the time for 6 PM and thats why the job card never got picked up!What a total disaster!He then rushed to my car to take it inside to do the service.They almost took 2 hours just to change the battery and do an inspection for a scheduled appointment!

Air conditioner was cycling on and off. Diagnosed elsewhere as faulty cycling switch. A $30 part.Took it to Firestone as it was open on Saturday. They wanted to replace compressor at $1000. Really!I thought I learned my lesson with this place from an earlier similar experience.I will not go back there again.

My car was not running on Christmas Eve, only place opened on a Sunday. The manager was very rude, I DO NOT recall his name, but he did not want to give my car to me unless I paid in full. I scraped all the money I have to pay him in order to get my car. Now my engine light keep coming on, he will not refund my money, so they are lying about returning the money if job not fix the 1st time. Manager said, old gas have to run out caticlitic converter, & that is 1,000 miles. Very rude and offensive!!!

They were very efficient with timing but they give me list of mechanical problem with the car even tho I went there only for oil change! I appreciate the fact they warned me but scared me little unnecessarily!

58 minutes after my appointment they finally looked at my car. After 28 minutes they quoted i needed $1550 in work. Called around the same work at other shops is less than $1000. Even another Firestone quoted me $1200. Beware Firestone on Ogdon.

The guys here do a great job and are very friendly. But lowering rating to 3 stars because their wifi is horrible. I had to tether my phone to get work done while waiting for my car.

After thinking that Id originally be spending over $500 for a beater, I was able to leave spending just a portion of that with no trouble from the shop. Very impressed with the customer service!I brought my older sedan in for an oil change and to look at both front headlights that had gone out after 9 months. They looked into the problem and found that there were issues with the retainers for the bulbs, and while they were able to fix one, I would need a whole new assembly for the other. They also let me know that Id likely need a new battery soon, but I decided not to get one right away.They originally quoted me for around $200 for the headlight theyd have to order and I said that was ok, but after thinking, I decided that was a little too much money to drop into a beater car. I went in early the next day to pick up the car and let them know I had changed my mind, and Eric took the headlight assembly and labor off the ticket with no hassle and offered to research used headlight assemblies that would be less expensive for me.

I shouldnt have expected much out of Firestone based on the reviews. I am totally regretting being in a desperate position to get a nail hole in my tire plugged. I went in they took my tire off my car made some BS story that they cannot plug it in and try to upsell me. I declined because I knew the tire was repairable and they were just trying to make money off me. I look at my room afterwards and they scratched it all up. That is an $800 rim. You are a complete idiot just like me if you get this place any of your business. I took my car to my tire shop and the repair was no problem and the mechanic the left when I told him that they said they cannot repair it.

DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!!! Erik the store manager was extremely rude and disrepectful to me during my experience at this Firestone location. I went into to get my oil change and after my car was returned to me I had issues. I brought it back to have him take a look. Erik began to argue and yell at me and denied having anything to do with the issues with my car. Will never come here again.

They tried overcharging me for tires (Hugh) so head east toward Fairview & go to Cassidy Tires instead. My entire family has had terrible experiences with this place over-charging so would use as emergency only.

The worst people to work with. This center is a rip off. I took my car for a engine misfire.. Was made to wait for 2 hours for nothing. They came back with a quote for $2600 for a christmas wishlist. They did not even diagnose the problem and charged me $101 for nothing. I refused service - paid their $101 and got my vehicle to meineke next door and got my vehicle done for $1300 in less than 3 hours.

They are pretty good and price is fair. Just seems like we have to always go back for something.
