Summer was very helpful and knowledgeable. The best customer service we have experienced in a Lens Crafters. My son needed his frames replaced. When buying frames for teenagers make sure you purchase the warranty it makes a difference.

I was so confused at choosing which frame to get and Peter was so patient and helpful in getting the best one for me. He’s so fun to talk to also and made me feel very comfortable. Everyone else is always offering help as well and the doctor is very knowledgeable and kind. Superb service and good quality choices of eyewear.

Summer and Dr Santucci are the absolute best!

The service was great. The exam for contacts and glasses went well. Maria was nice in the initial exam, and the doctor was fine, besides little to no eye contact. Summar was helpful, along with Yasmine and Andrea. But it would have saved me some time if I had a heads up on the cost of new glasses, as even with insurance it would have been just under $500. Get that cost figured out with a decent pair of frames first, before you spend 5-10 minutes deciding on the actual frames you want.

I went with my sister to help pick out frames for her. I was so impressed with the service she received, I said I was going to schedule an appt. Summar said they had just had a cancellation and Dr Patil would have time to do an eye exam, if I didn’t want to make a second trip there (I live 45 mins away). I jumped at the chance! Summar, Maria and Dr Patil were wonderful! Each of them was very knowledgeable, helpful, thorough and explained things well. I will definitely keep going there!

Went in to get some new sunglasses adjusted and David was super helpful. Got them adjusted to my uneven ears in less than 3 mins.

Very unhelpful / we selected frame and found out that there wa s 50% discount for both frame and lenses online as well as in store .But as this store did not had the frame that we want they refused to accept order for the desired frame . we did place online order .Now lens crafter wanted us to give measurement of face . we went to this same store and asked them to take measurement or the one they had taken earlier and give it to us or send to lenscrafter . They refused to do anything saying its online issue . We realized they are not doing right thing in trying to help customers and something is wrong with this store so we contacted the Oakbrook store and they right away on phone checked their database found our info and informed lenscraters online . issue resolved . this store is not managed properly . The Oakbrook store people are great, .Hope somebody from the corporate teach these guys about customer service

Worst experience ever getting eye glasses! This LensCrafters screwed up my prescription 3 times. At one point the manager was trying to convince me to keep the first incorrect prescription even though it was incorrect. When I told her looking right or left with the glasses on made me nauseous, she actually said “Don’t look right or left.” It was like a bad sitcom and she does not deserve the position of a manger. And as it turns out, when I went to the LensCrafters in my neighborhood for my recent check up, I found out that the Downers Grove LensCrafters gave me the wrong prescription! This place should be shut down!

Today I visited Lenscrafters today and I was treated with kindness and respect. Everyone in the store was awesome!

Not worth it. They didnt give me my prescription for my contacts after my contacts exam. Then didnt give me my eyeglass prescription after my exam. Than when I called for both of them to be emailed to.me they said the only way I could get a copy was if it was faxed to me!! Despite the brand name of Lenscrafters this is like one of the cheaper optical stores in the area- save your money and time. Go somewhere else.

Very friendly and helpful staff

Dr Michelle Santucci discovered two tears in my retina, called my retina specialist and made the appointment with them to get me in immediately. I had laser surgery to fix the tears within an hour or so. I am very thankful for her care and attention.

Alex and the other associates were great, very helpful, and took the safety precautions needed to me to feel comfortable.

LOVED Dr. Santucci! Store manager was awesome! Spent a lot of time with me picking out my glass frames. My new eye glass place! Ty love my Tiffany glasses 🤓

Had an appointment for 4pm, got there a quarter to and at 5pm still waiting. After seeing people go into the room that came in after me I questioned only to be told they only needed a quick consultation which wasnt quick or didnt matter considering they didnt have an appointment which i did. Clearly Unprofessional. I will not go to this place again and Id advise you not to either.

I love this place, they take my insurance, their exams are spot on, and the glasses always look the best when looking through them. I also found tons of glasses, all the major good brand names. My wife found a great pair she loves too (MK). I went to many others places, this one is by far the best. I lost my glasses about 6 months after purchasing here, they were able to have them ready to pick up within two hours (on a Friday before closing!), and they even had the same Oakley frame! I read all the other comments and certainly understand, but for me it works perfectly!

I lost the screw in my sunglasses. I went in for a replacement. They were so friendly and helpful. The screw was an unusual length and size. She worked to find the correct fit and size. Thank you for a pleasant and helpful service.

Always have great experiences there

I have been here twice. The first time the service was acceptable and the people were friendly, but the second time, about a week ago, the service was horrible. They kept telling me that I dont have insurance even though I called my company and they said my plan was accepted at this location. They looked up my coverage THREE time, which took at least 30 minutes. After the first time they said, Oh looks like you dont have insurance, but we can give you a discount. NO I HAVE INSURANCE.After the third try it finally came up. Im thinking it was input or omission error since it finally came up with me checking all the information they entered. Seems like they dont want you to use insurance there, and they want you to pay out of pocket, which is bull. Honestly, I liked the eye doctors there, but Im never going back.

Told us our insurance wasn’t accepted and were very rude and argued for 30 minutes before they tried again and discovered we were 100% covered. Unprofessional and incompetent rude thots in tacky armani frames.

After reading so many negative reviews, i admit i was a little nervous going in.... but to my suprise i can say my experience here was fantastic, first i was greeted by an extremely polite and friendly staff member to help me get started with my appointment, next i was taken by a friendly & professional assistant to run me thru the 1st part of my exam,with keeping everything on a timely schedule that they honored. Then i had a short wait to see the doctor and to my suprise i can say she was the absolute best eye doctor i ever had, she was outstanding in every professional, friendly, & knowledgeable way! Also very easy on the eyes.😉 i will continue to use lens crafters as my primary eye care from now on. Also very competitive pricing and very competent with dealing and handling all insured patients.

Dr. Nancy Casper was exstreamly rude when I took my 6 year old to her office for his kindergarten eye check. I was told by her staff that the office was equipped for little ones but it is not. She was impatient and obviously has no experience with little children. My son had to sit on his knees, which was hurting him, and was repeatedly told to sit still. I said that I was told her office could accommodate little children and she responded with “maybe it depends on the child.” We walked out. She is a horrible woman.

Terrible customer service. Lost my order. Was told story after story. I still do not have my glasses after 2 weeks. Very frustrating experience. Go ANYWHERE else. Do not use LensCrafters in Downers Grove IL.

Dont go here. I had an appointment at 5pm with them and they made me wait 45 mins. I ended up walking out without an exam, plus they dont take major insurance like United Healthcare. I would give them a 0 star if I could. Dont waste your time by making appointment here, they will waste your time!

I went to this lenscrafters to obtain new glasses through my insurance. After having my eye exam, I received a phone call a few days later to pick up my glasses. I walked in and as soon as I tried them on, I let the optician know that I could not see out of them. The optician said, Sometimes your eyes need to get used to new glasses. Try them on for a week and see how you feel. I walked out of the Lenscrafters and tripped because of how odd the prescription was....so much strain and very little ability to use these glasses functionally. I went back about 2 weeks later after attempting to try on the glasses off and on and having no luck seeing and getting headaches. I was met with an optometrist who seemed annoyed to be doing a secondary eye exam. I was told that the previous prescription has too much astigmatism and the glasses would be remade. Which they were. The same problem occurred and I called the Lenscrafters after trying them for a day. They told me, try them for a few weeks and see, if the problem continues, bring them in and we will retest again. I went back in Late January/Early February 2018 and said I could not use the glasses. I was told by the optician (who also consulted with the supervisor) that nothing could be done and I would be looking at paying over $380 for a repeat eye exam and new lens in the pair of glasses I bought. I was then advised by the optician that helped me to go to the Americas Best down the street as this optician had formerly worked there as they can remake these glasses for cheap. Needless to say, I shockingly left. I did go back to Americas Best and got the lens remade for a total of $45. Please avoid this Lenscrafters. And now, I cannot use my insurance benefits for 2 years.....very disappointed in the service and the referral to a competitor.

More than 5 weeks and still waiting for the glasses. They have no idea when they gonna get it!!! Unbelievable!!! 0 stars...

Bought glasses and had to wait 2 weeks for them to come in ( i ordered the blue IQ lenses amhad d thats standard) well its 4 and a half weeks later and Im still waiting. First lady told me they are backed up with back to school orders. Second lady told me my glasses failed inspection. No one can say what happened for sure and corporate was just as usless. Currently still dont have my glasses

There was a major difference between the morning and evening staff. I should have made my purchase in the evening.

The staff is very rude and constantly show attitude even when you are right. They kept telling me my insurance wouldn’t cover my glasses even though it is included in my plan. Lets just say I am never coming back here.

I went in to have my broken glasses repaired and after they were finished the lab tech Carlos told me all I owed him was a smile. I didnt even purchase those glasses there but I will buy my next pair from them.
