I had cataracts removed. Said I would need is to wear glasses for close up well the right eye went well can see 20/20. The left eye, they scratched it and still doesnt have good vision. Went to eye Dr. Yesterday and now I have to wear glasses for the left eye to focus into the right eye. Dr. Said left eye would not get better. This is not what I was told when I had it done. As far as the people there. They are very nice. But due to the flub.up. I now back to wearing glasses again. So sad. And costed so much.

Worse place I’ve ever been to . Not even friendly customer service when they make a mistake . Especially when it’s written on piece of paper and clearly it’s an error and yet they say to your face that it’s not . They cannot even tell when the physician didn’t mark the correct side when looking at the patient. These type of employees / people makes me wonder what’s wrong with people in this world . Also they’ll never get back to you and you will have to go into the store not only once but twice, because “eventually they’ll get around to it “ .

Initial experience did not goes as well as expected because they inadvertently canceled my first appointment. However, the manager reached out to me, apologized, offered me an appointment within a few days, and provided me with a special test that did not require my eyes to be dilated at no extra charge. The exam went well. The staff were very friendly. From the time I checked in to the completion of my eye glass purchase was about an hour.

I had tried to get my lenses made at 2 other places without success as I have a difficult prescription. I used to go to Rosin’s as far back as when they only had the one office in Cicero! Not sure why I didn’t think of them first, but glad I thought to go back to them. I took my prescription to them, and in 10 days had glasses that are perfect. Will never go anywhere else again

I had setup an appointment online with Rosin to purchase eyeglasses with lenses that included prisms. Previous to making my appointment with Rosin, I had a bad experience with an online company that resulted in lenses being returned and insurance benefits that needed to be corrected. I showed up at the very busy Downers Grove office ontime for the appointment. Unfortunately, when checking me in, the front desk staff identified my appointment was at the Orland Park office! Totally 100% my error. Instead of sending me away to Orland Park or rescheduling me for another day, the front desk staff fit me in the already busy schedule and introduced me to Daniela, one of the opticians. Daniela worked with me for the necessary time to select a frame and lenses that were compatible with my prism and progressive lens prescription. They also worked with the insurance company to get me the benefits I was eligible for. Thank you all for an excellent experience!

I have used Rosin Eye Cares other locations, with zero problems. I used this location for the first time this year due to WFH. My initial visit was okay, everything was relatively fine.Then I picked up my frames. They 1. Had a billing discrepancy. They over-billed me (my insurance covered more than their bill reflected, had I not caught it, nobody would have) frustrating, but things happen.2. I stopped by to pick up the frames and despite their hours on the website and Google, they had a big ole sign on their door saying they were closed for 45 minutes for lunches. It seems like they were well enough staffed they could have rotated through lunches, but at the very least update their hours online, to prevent customer frustrations. ( when I mentioned this to Kate, she snapped at me, so maybe it’s not that easily done?).3. The real issues is I when got my frames. There are two engravings on each lens, of the Rosin logo, right in my line of vision, affecting how I see out of the lenses. I called about it and the receptionist that answered, couldn’t t answer my question, she rudely shouted “come in and deal with our Optometrist”.I’ve been wearing glasses for pretty much all my life, and have never seen engravings over my lenses. Even my parents with progressive lenses don’t have this. So I inquired why, and what could be done, as it affected my vision.Since the receptionist wasn’t helpful, she placed me on hold and I had a chance to speak to the office manager, Kate. She wasn’t helpful, was super snarky, and inappropriately rude about this. I called another location (Bloomingdale, spoke the the NICEST receptionist, Karla, who was EXTREMELY helpful, and handled the issue with grace, and got me taken care of).When you pay $500+ for a pair of glasses, the last thing you want is the Rosin logo engraved in your line of vision.This problem should have never occurred, but when it did, it lost certainly should have been handled differently. I understand this location is apparently short-staffed, but it’s not an excuse for piss poor customer service.If you want to give Rosin eye a shot, I suggest the drive to Bloomingdale, it’s worth it.

We normally go to the Berwyn location but referred to this location for a glaucoma Test. The staff were friendly and accommodating upon arrival. My husband is very nervous and anxious about His exams and the Nurse who took care of Him was very gentle and kept informing Him about the procedures to make him feel at ease. The Doctor is very nice and Although there’s quite a lot of people waiting to be seen, The Doctor took her time to explain to us the situation and answer all our questions and concern, we never felt rushed or confused at all. Very professional and top notch service! We left feeling hopeful knowing that my Husbands eye problem is under the care of trusted Doctor and company. Thank you Rosin!

The doctor took very well care of me. The waiting after showing up for an appointment is very long. Today I had to wait for 1 hour and nobody said a word to me. It was at least 20 minutes of waiting every time I went there (which was ok), but one hour is too much. There were people who came after me and they were done with their appointment before I did. Scheduling is pretty bad.

When I called for an update a week ago, nobody could find the order, provide one, even though I’ve paid for them and had the receipt. Now I’m supposed to call back in a few weeks. I had a sudden problem and when I called for an appt, the receptionist took the time to talk to the doctor and wanted me in like now. Doctor even hung around so I could be seen. Fortunately everything was good but it was a thing that could have been very bad. I returned for my exam, as I was also overdue for glasses and they are right on top of all the COVID precautions. It’s out of my way, I called my usual neighborhood office and they hadn’t opened yet, but I will be happy to take the extra drive out here, def worth the trip for the excellent care.

I visited Rosin for the first time today after seeing multiple eye doctors for a chronic pain issue with my eyes that Ive been living with the last 5 years. Dr. Amy VanDenBrook is the first of several doctors Ive seen that not only was able to finally diagnose the issue I was having, but provided a comprehensive treatment plan to begin to fix the problem. Her bedside manner was incredibly warm and she provided a level of care and understanding of what Ive been going through more so than any physician Ive seen up to this point. For the first time dealing with this issue, I felt heard and empathized with, which for anyone that has experienced chronic pain of any sort, is difficult to come by. The entire staff was also incredibly welcoming and kind. As someone who rarely goes to the doctor and generally loathes the experience of seeing a physician, this was hands down one of the best experiences Ive had and I cannot thank Dr. Amy and her technician Laura for their treatment and kindness. 12/10 recommend to anyone in need of eye care.

Everyone who works here is very friendly and are very willing to explain any procedure or answer questions. I really like the new technology they use as well - some crazy machine that takes images of the back of your eye so you dont have to get those awful drops that dilate your eyes all day - and the doctor was super kind and patient. I had a problem with my prescription so I called and I was taken the next day. The Doctor saw me gave me another eye exam and corrected the glasses. They were sent in and a few days later I received my new glasses.Thank you Rosin for taking care of my issue in a timely manner.

My wife is totally frustrated trying to reach the Downers Grove location. She been calling them for 5 days with no response. Occasionally someone will pick up the phone and immediately hang up. I got involved and I called and redialed there number 87 times in a row. The phone rings after 5 rings it always hangs up. Dont walk...run.

Very unhappy with the level of customer service I received Rosin is more concerned about making a dollar than given excellent customer service which both should go hand and hand. I can not recommend this Eye Care company Rosin. They need to care about eyecare and customer satisfaction and money will follow. Thumps down on the company find you a company who cares.

If I could give them less than one star I would. They deserve a negative star count. Went for an eye exam for safety glasses back in January. Part of the exam required me to let the optometrist take the glasses I already own to use to get a prescription. I got them back with a scratched lens. I just got them a month before at Pearle Vision. After getting the safety glasses that I went for 10 days later found out the prescription was wrong. In the meantime I got a copy of the prescription from Pearle. The optometrist asked in a complaining way why I want the glasses with the prescription I just handed to him from Pearle and I said it was because I can see with that prescription unlike the one they made for me. 3 weeks later I called because I hadnt heard back from them. When I asked why they said they think my glasses will be ready tomorrow. Sure enough they called. I got tied up with work and couldnt pick them up until last Friday. Im stick angry about them scratching my other glasses and then making the glasses wrong anyway. Anyway I picked up the glasses and the prescription is still wrong. I wore them for a 4 hours and could not get acclimated to them. I took them to my other optometrist and they said the transistion prescription was wrong. I encourage any that is considering going to the place to go anywhere else. Customer service is terrible, the optometrist is a jerk that incidentally also has bad breath and the manager is also a poor excuse for a manager. Personally I dont expect any resolution to this issue because I became rude when I was treated rudely and dishonestly by Rosin.

Unfriendly staff in general, including one whom tried to steer me away from nicer frames and close the glass by saying they “made me look feminine” and I should “look in the men’s section”. Sorry sweety, but this is 2019 and glasses aren’t gendered. No one wants your sheltered opinion. Only reason for 2 stars and not 1 is I know the ophthalmologist is good.

One of the technicians helped me pick out frames and I have been receiving compliments. All the people working in the Downers Grove office are pleasant and very helpful. The follow up was terrible. Glasses were supposed to be in 10 to 14 days, it was 3 weeks when they arrived. 3 staff members promised to follow up with estimated time and did not. My daughter started school without needed glasses. We were new to this process so didnt have a back up pair. The glasses were pricey as well so the lack of follow up made it that much worse.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Afryl; he has treated me and mom my for years and has caught some scary stuff. This review is for the front and for Daniella. It has been a long time since I ordered glasses through them and I will not be doing that ever again. Took almost a month to receive glasses; I called multiple times the last week asking them to update me on my glasses. Received no phone calls. The day I went to pick up was a hassle, they couldnt even tell me if my glasses were in without giving me the run around. When I went to pick them up, the glasses wouldnt even close right. Daniela knew this information before I went to pick up my glasses, and I still received no phone call updating me on this issue. I refused the glasses and demanded a refund. She offered to help me pick out a new pair, but due to the LACK of customer service I received up to this point I wanted nothing to do with it. Take your prescription and go somewhere else for glasses/contacts.

I will not be going back to Rosin. My first visit to the Downers Grove location I needed contacts in a hurry before a trip. They were not sure if I would get my lenses in time, so I asked for a few pairs of trial lenses just to be safe. They CHARGED me $35 for the DO NOT RESELL trial lenses....Today I tried to reorder contacts online, and Rosin refused to send my prescription because it was too close to the 1 year date. Instead, Rosin is pushing their own online reorder service.

I went to Rosin for my cataract surgery due to the overwhelming positive reviews.My first cataract surgery in March 2019 went well. I was a little turned off by all the conversations going on with the nurses and the surgeon Dr Vandenbrook during my actual surgery but the doctor did say she had been doing cataract surgery for over 20 years. I did not have the lasik surgery. The second eye was done the next week and again I felt there was too much talking about the nurse having to get new car tires and overall chit chatting while the doctor was operating on my. eye. Shouldnt her attention have been on me, the patient??From the start I knew this eye felt different. On my day one post-op appointment I told the surgeon my eye felt scratchy but was told this was normal. I had my week follow up and I told the optometrist that my eye was bothering me and she looked at it at just said my eye was dry. My eye continued to bother me for an entire month. At my month follow up a different doctor looked in my eye and noticed I had a suture sticking out of my eye. The other doctors did not find this the other 2 times I was examined.The following week I called the office because I was still having issues with the eye after the stitch was pulled out. I was offered an appointment with the doctor but it was during my work hours and I had already missed work due to both eyes having surgery. They offered to leave eye drops for me at the office. I picked up the drops and was quite frustrated to find that it was a sample and I had maybe a drop and a half in the bottle.I honestly dont feel like the surgeon cares for her patients. I am a nurse and I have worked with many doctors and I felt the aftercare was non-existent. Especially due to the problems I had, not one person reached to me.I would not recommend this clinic due to the lack of care for the patients after the surgery.

After coming here for 11 years I will be taking our family’s business elsewhere. Daniella is a horrible representative. I have never felt so demeaned and discarded by a doctors office before. Not only would she not replace my lost boxes, but she laughed and started dancing in her chair as if she was happy to make her customers lives harder. Mind you, I just had an appointment in March. My last visit was because I had a busted blood vessel in my right eye, this has never happen to me before it was a little scary. I called the office and my doctor was not in however I was seen right away. I received a good eye exam and wad told it would be fine. it looked a lot worse then it was. the doctor said it would be gone in about a week, and would be as good as new. He was right on the money! one week later it was cleared up. Thank you!!!

Dr. Torson from Glen Ellyn - Rosin noticed my brother Steve had cataracts forming on both of his eyes with the Right eye being worse. So he recommended he go see Dr. VanDenBrook - Rosin Downers Grove Office. Dr. VanDenBrook specializes in Comprehensive OphthalmologyCataract Surgery. After Steves exam and getting all of the details of the procedure Dr. Amy made my brother feel very comfortable with the surgery, The Rosin team again took very good care of scheduling all of the pre-tests and measurements and then the Dr. double checked everything. The surgery went very well my brother even said he was talking to the doctor during it and before you know it was done and his follow ups have gone awesome. We already think Rosin Eyecare is one of the best in the area if not in our opinion the best. Thanks to everyone, Steve is actually looking forward to the left eye getting done at the Hinsdale Surgery Center which is tops with us as well .
