Went to drop off a package and pick up another package.I didn’t have tape for the package I was dropping off so was informed it would be a 50 cent charge. Sure, charge my credit card… but it’s going to cost the company more than 50 cents to swipe my card. So why not just tape up the package and say it’s my lucky day?Package I was picking up said it had been delivered over an hour earlier. When I asked to pick it up, he said he had a ton of packages that hadn’t been scanned in yet. Ok, but my email says it’s here and I am here so let’s find it and scan it in. He wanted me to come back but I saw it on the floor and pointed it out so he let me take it. Don’t think I did anything wrong, but I was sure made to feel like I was causing a problem.A good attitude goes a long way… I’m going to start going to a different location.

I understand the younger boy is trying to do his part but it’s rude when a manager jumps over into another customers interaction when their not needed. assuming they were the manager, they were not welcoming but rather rude and unpleasant. It’s sad to see ups hasn’t changed over the years in terms of customer service.

This team at Downers Grove are dynamite. They are always friendly and helpful. The are accommodating and friendly. I drive extra and pay a little more to ship my items at this location. Thanks guys and keep up the great work.

I am thrilled to have this UPS store. There is hardly ever a line here as they are efficient. If theyre slow its usually the customers that tend to slow things down. They are in the shipping business so they charge for shipping supplies. They even answer their phone calls! I think most UPS places just route you to the main UPS line for generic service. I find that they are often on the phone answering someones questions while they are multitasking doing their job. Maybe a little short staffed but so glad they are here.

This is the worst UPS Store you can possibly visit. I just happened to be there today on a Sunday as the store close to my house on Roosevelt Rd. Was closed. The kids in the front have zero personal or work skills and outright rude at best. While I was trying to explain the special shipping instructions from Amazon for my package to one of them, the other guy working with another customer started commenting on my shipment without even being part of the discussion. Upon correcting him, the guy I was working with started acting rude with me. I finally got to talk to the Manager to quickly pass on the instructions and get the packages shipped. Never ever returning to this store.

Then supposed owner is a condescending jag off DO NOT GO HERE. Being a business owner myself, I know what it takes to treat people correctly. Moreover I spend 30k a month shipping for my businesses. The guy is unnecessarily combative, and has no clue about customer service. Lost my business for good, will go out of my way to go elsewhere.Good luck with your business strategy.

Love how I wake up my daughter (year old) in this windy weather for an Amazon return for a GIFT and you just have to charge me $0.50 for TAPE!? What happened to good people who just do nice things. Ive had a problem before with this location, and now I will never come back here. Unbelievable!

Ii want to thank the manager, Jackie, and all of the staff at this location for assisting me with my move. The staff was courteous and very helpful in ensuring my 48 boxes were packed appropriately - offering to add additional taping and packaging when needed. Their friendly disposition helped to make a stressful less than 2 weeks move bearable.In addition, all packages have arrived and Im looking forward to being settled in my new residence.I highly recommend this location for shipping packages.

Have always had good luck here except the last time when the package didn’t receive its destination for several weeks. Thank goodness it finally did. It doesn’t look like they have a good track record of making good on their mishaps. I’m a little nervous to use them again though based on these reviews.

As a personal mail box holder at this location I can say I have zero complaints. My mail and packages are always safely delivered into my mailbox and packages safely held for me to pick up.Thank you to the owner Jackie for the 10/10 service!Nicole

They dont answer the phone, and when you go there they are understaffed not to mention kind of rude. They need a lot of help in learning how to deal with customers and satisfy them if they want to stay in business. Theres gravel everywhere so good luck parking. Go down farther east on Ogden and there is another UPS Store that is much better.

Yesterday I had to send my AT&T U-Verse equipment back, and I was in the area. I was a little nervous going in here as the reviews are terrible. I think this location might have a new owner, or at least the guy got trained on customer service because this was a really good experience. Im only writing this because I feel like the guy might have just bought the store and is going to get killed on reviews.I came in and noticed the gravel parking lot- theres a sign in the store that says that lot is owned by the City of Downers Grove, and if you want to park in their lot that is paved, its on the other side of the building.The guy I met was definitely the owner as he said he owned a few other stores and was looking for good internet service. He was definitely polite, friendly, and got me out the door fast. If you gave this place a bad review, Id suggest trying again- its either new ownership or the guy did a 180 in personality. Id come back here- he was nicer than the people in the UPS store by my house.

This place is the size of the closet and the parking lot is a little rectangle of gravel.I went here to try to refuse a package that I hadnt opened and the young attendant was rude and completely unhelpful. He said there was nothing he or anyone else could do, even if I went to a different store. So I went to a different store and they helped me successfully send the package back.

Do NOT use this store. Sent an important business package with 2 day service -- did not arrive in 2 days. Called the store -- did not get a call back. Called again and talked to the owner, and he said UPS would be refunding my money. Did not get refund. Called the store again -- clerk took my number and said owner would call me back. Did not get call back. Called again and talked to the owner -- he said (and this is not a joke) must have been bad weather, so thats an act of God (there was no weather problem) ... you received notification from UPS about the non-payment (I did not) ... and heres the best one - no one can guarantee that Im going to call anyone back. Do NOT use this store.

This should be negative stars, the manager is so rude this ups store just lost my $150 drill. Never had a problem with ups store until l visited this one on April 30..I should had read reviews first. I paid and received a receipt for my package which never got to its location. After 2 weeks I threw away my receipt away. Called to check on package and its no where to be found...I hate this place it needs to be closed down...I will never, never, ever, visit again. Hope no one else will either..

Great place to get shipping and packing done quickly! They offer many great services such as copy, print, and fax for a reasonable price Ive never been disappointed and Im surprised by the negative reviews on here this place is great!

They are rude, they close whenever they want so the UPS or FedEx guy cant make good on the delivery because he cant get into the store. The hours posted are wrong. Please believe me, Im not just some angry customer trying to post a bad review, genuinely mean it when I say dont bother going in to this store. You might have an ok experience today but its not worth the risk of a disaster in the future. Visiting this store is akin to playing russian roulette, not with your life but with your packages.

The owner or manager of this location is extremely rude and arrogant. I have brought a lot of business into this store and on one occasion asked to have a small piece of packing tape to seal a package as I had run out at home. He insisted that I buy the tape and do it myself and then proceeded to berate and lecture me as to how he is too busy and has to run a business while I was taping the package myself. And yet when I had walked in there were no other customers and he did not appear to be doing a single thing. This location is two blocks from my house and Ill never patronize it again. Ill drive the several miles to elsewhere and avoid this kind of surliness and customer abuse.
