Very awesome experience. My wife recently purchased a hand gun for personal protection. Jeff @ Darkside gave us a few recommendations on what to buy. Jeff @ Darkside found the preferred fire arm for my wife at a competitor of Darkside. After helping us find the best fire arm, Jeff at Darkside spent two full hours teaching my wife the basics of using the firearm. Was part of the monthly program to get gun cleanings and receive information on concealed classes but never received any info. The one time I had an appointment to get my weapon cleaned, I went down with a friend and they never showed up. Very strange after that never saw any more charges for the monthly program. I tried to sell my friend on the place because my experiences prior had been good but this scared him away. This was shortly after their move so hopefully business has stabilized and is back to normal.

Repeat customer. I’ve used Darkside for a number of services from FFL transfers to helping with custom builds and some exotic gunsmithing needs. Even help finding the right training. Awesome customer service and a focus on what’s best for the customer. Will patronize then again.

Darkside is a small shop that takes care of its people. Locally owned and has some of the best service out there. I was looking for a specific part for a build and it had proven difficult to find. Darkside went out of their way to find this fairly inexpensive part. They got it shipped in quickly and called me the moment it arrived.They were knowledgeable and pleasant to speak with and helped me with every question I had. Definitely earned a customer for life.

Talk about service, they took the time to educate me so that i made the right choice for my needs and the needs of my wife. they even came to my office to show me some different firearms and how i could use them for protection, target shooting, etc. they ensured that i knew how to assemble and disassemble each item, cleaning, lubricating and general care for protecting my investment. the fact that they were cheaper than the main chain stores was just icing on the cake - THANK YOU DARKSIDE, LOOKING FORWARD TO MY NEXT PURCHASE!!!

These guys are the nicest and most helpful I have worked with in the firearms industry. I have been to the other popular gun store in UT several times and those guys generally treated me like scum until I had spent a couple grand there.Darkside is a different story, they are actually invested in their customers and give advice on builds and purchases. I will always use them as my FFL and I will buy as many parts as I can from them in the future.

Jeff was great. I went needing to replace a trigger on my fathers AR. He had it done in a matter of minutes and was more than fair on price. Thank you Jeff.

Needed some help with my rifle. Called, connection was too bad to understand anything so I decided to look up it up and drop by. Went to address located on website and google, apparently they moved. Went to the address posted at their old location and was guided to their new location in Sandy. Eager to get some help, walked up to the door at 5:30pm on a tuesday and it was locked. Knocked. Nothing. Hours say 10-6pm online. Im sure its great service and work but I went elsewhere. Maybe youll have better luck.

I have been in every gun shop from Orem to Ogden at least once. Darkside is very different. You wont be ignored, and you will never be made to feel stupid for something you dont know. These guys are here to help you know matter what skill level or knowledge level you have. They sell you whats right for you instead of what some manufacturer is bonusing them to shove down your throat. Thanks Darkside!

I had ordered a 45 Kriss from the East coast and needed a good FFL. I live in Ogden and there are a few here. But had heard some good things about Darkside and all turned out to be true. Caribine arrived when it was supposed to and they gave me a call the same day. Went to pick it up did the paperwork and was on my way. They were just starting to get some stock in and it all looked good. Good store. Good people.

I dont recommend going here for a silencer. I went in and paid the full amount and was asked to call back in 2 days repeatedly for a serial number until 2 weeks had passed. Wait, I give you money and I have to follow up with you? I asked for a refund which Jeff did grant. I then went into Gunnies, they had the silencer in stock and I had a serial number the same day. Gunnies will also only charge you a small portion of the total until it comes in stock.

Drove down from salt lake wanting to do a trigger job on my ruger sp101 revolver but unfortunately the guy who came to the door said they dont do revolvers, weird. Anyways, if you have a revolver than go some place else. He recommended Barlows

Slow to work out an issue with some custom work, I am happy with the end result but not the speed with wich the issue was resolved. The shop and the inventory are in process of a reset. Knowlagable on AK, AR and suppressors. He has some OSS cans in stock as of this writing and I look forward to demo. Jeff is very knowlagable the handfull of local guys that know cans this well are more likely to steer you to brand than figure out your needs and give objective advice. He was honest about wait times and how responsive companiers are, lead times etc. I decided to go with a can on off the shelf, while not my ideal suppressor it was as close as I was likely to find and the best price I could find. I have been looking for a while.
