Really great employees. I bring all my guitars there when they need work. I have bought, and traded guitars there, and have always been treated fairly. I will be going to pickup one of my guitars tomorrow, I my need to discuss a trade for a pretty blue Fender they have!
I was able to buy my son a beautiful saxophone for a really great price. The service here is excellent. All our questions were answered. It was a much better experience than the store my sons school recommended.
They arent fair on offers. Brought in expensive equipment, running in the thousands...to then be offered $15! What a joke! Must be the new COVID prices. Trying to hustle the customer for sure!!! Likely not to return.
They have a great selection and were extremely helpful answering questions and allowing us to try out a few guitars. Very knowledgeable staff and reasonably priced!
Ordered tremendous 12. Very tasty. Made exactly to order including extra crispy hash browns and eggs over medium. Fills me up every time.
Great experience! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and they had just what I wanted. It was a surprisingly well-stocked store for its size.
Took my daughters new to her guitar in to get restrung. Work was done quick and affordable.
Really good emploees that will help you with anything they are capable of
Great for repairs, new accessories, used instruments are fairly priced based on condition.
Nice staff, cool selection. Not exactly the fastest turnaround on repairs but it’s a small shop, that’s understandable. One star knocked cause they once forgot to call me for several days about my guitar being ready to pick up.
Super friendly and helpful to beginners. They dont push extras but they let you know. Awesome people
Awesome used music shop with chill employees. Highly recommended for any gear ya need. Just keep in mind that their inventory is pretty limited to what they get from others, so they might not have super niche or specific stuff.
Ive been going to music go round for the better half of a decade. The staff is always welcoming and considerate of the customers at various levels of skill, theyre always willing to help out and provide you with the information one could need when making decisions in buying instruments and instrument related accessories! Quality is nearly always assured and their prices follow suit. I recommend this shop to anyone wanting to get into playing music and also those well experienced alike.
Thease guys are the Greatest! Always willing to work out a deal, very knowledgeable with assistance and the friendliest in the busniess! Thank you for being here for us guys! And we are lucky to have excellent people as yourselves providing quality service such as yours in the Twin Ports area.
Excellent sales, and service.Ive been buying and selling to Eric Scott,Mark and Brian, for many years.Great staff, knowledgeable and always meeting your needs.Thank you guys.Larry Shelton
Great people to deal with
Has helped me out multiple times when I needed last minute equipment! Just this week I needed a couple extra microphone stands and they had them in stock and ready to go.
The staff are very intelligent and the selection of musick gear ebbs and flows. There is something for everyone. Get your guitar repaired here!!
The absolute best. My first guitars were purchased here, and I bring them back to get cared for annually when I return to Duluth. Glad to see the business doing well and the familiar faces :), big hearts yall
Great Guitar selection! I bought a Gibson here 3 years ago. And still rocking with it. Also bought a trumpet for my son here too. He is still enjoying it. Very Friendly Staff too!
This place is crowded with stuff. Some amps are decent but alas the guitar selection is weak and the size is small so within 5 minutes I was done. I understand its a used store so selection will vary at times. But I wont be coming back. Sad for Duluth as there arent many options.
Friendly helpful great place to find a new instrument or parts to fix one.
I was buying a keyboard here 4 years ago, and the guys were all very helpful. I am not as musically inclined as they are, and they treated me just like everybody else. If I ever come back into town, Im going to revisit this place!
The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Clean environment and great service, thank you guys!
Great prices and variety on instruments and and repairs. Highly recommended!
Friendly, professional service. Good place to shop, especially for guitars. They service instruments speakers and other electrical devices.
Both employees were busy with other customers, but they passed me three times with no acknowledgement that I was even there. I work in retail and find it important to acknowledge a customers presence, especially if I cant get to them right away.
Love this place. The staff actually wants to help. And layout of what they have is easy look at.
With all of the downturn in brick and mortar retail, I am extremely thankful for Music Go Round. The staff are very knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and just real great people! I absolutely detest walking into a Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc. and being “helped” by some of the arrogant and downright rude people there. The service is top notch and you don’t have to sell a kidney on the black market to be able to afford it!! Always something there that is different. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!!
Awesome store with awesome staff. I love going there and letting them take my money.
Great local shop. Lots of used music gear in good condition. Sales people know their stuff, can help you find good gear. Great guitar repair too.
Super helpful staff with purchase of string for sons guitar.
Purchased a used guitar from their website. I called beforehand, to get details and an employees opinion before making the purchase. I couldnt be happier with my new/used guitar. The condition was better than expected, it was properly packaged and shipped immediately.
Music Go Round is a great place to go and covet guitars, basses and gear. The folks are knowledgeable and professional. Ive gotten some good deals there. There are also drums, keyboards, harmonicas, banjos you name it. Check it out if you need an instrument or even repairs done on your current instrument. If they cant help you then they probably know someone who can.
Music Go Round, staffed by musicians, establishes itself as the foremost purveyors of instruments and knowledge in Duluth, MN. I have trusted them with my own instruments but also a guitar that can never be replaced. The staff treated this instrument with reverence and respectIt belonged to my son who had recently diedThese are folks I trust and have begun taking grandson to Music Go Round. Thank you guys for your kindness, and respect.
Scott (owner) and the rest of his crew, always friendly and helpful. You can find pretty much anything you need here from Music instruments to hardware and accessories. They offer New and Used gear.. to buy, sell or trade. If they dont have what youre looking for,.. they can order it and get it fast.
Great service. Thank you for working with me. Much appreciated
Loved the service and they had all my guitar needs
Im always amazed by the wealth of knowledge about guitars these people have. They also do great repair work and pricing on everything is fair. Great place. I wish I could give them 10 stars! Ter Scott NFIB Rep
Only place I go for gear, accessories and service/repairs. Super friendly staff, always willing to answer questions no matter how dumb they may sound to the asker. Best place for musicians of any level.
Good selection of used guitars and amps at affordable prices.
One of the last places in the twin ports to buy music gear. Usually has something pretty unique and fun gear to try out.
Love this place. Theyre super helpful if you have any questions and are willing to help you find whatever youre looking for at a ridiculously fair price. Ive sold/traded so much gear with them over the years and I always walk away happy. No other place Id go in town!
Everyone here is extremely helpful. Well priced, quality used product. Been a returning customer for about a year now and Ill continue to shop from them as long as Im in the area.
Bought many things from here from guitars to power amps to speakers. They may not have exactly what your looking for but are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy. Give them a shot before you try the net-
The absolute best music store in the area. I make the hour drive frequently and always make a stop here. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great place to buy music gear.
Ok, heres the thing. These guys are normally really great. They do know their stuff, and although, its the classic music store walk in the door and get a slightly condescending look before you are semi-reluctantly asked if they can help sort of vibe that I find to be pervasive across the whole music store world (Except Twin Town Guitars!), they really are good guys and want to get you set up as best they can. They even take time to get to know you a little bit. That said, I took a telecaster that I built from scratch to them to diagnose a pickup (which I purchased used from them) problem. I figured it was my novice soldering skills - turns out, the pickup was bad (issue #1). So, we decide to have them order a new one. They were great about it, and honored the price of the old pickup and applied it towards the new one.Youll have it by the end of the week. Well give you a call. Its been 2.5 weeks and Ive had to initiate communication 5-6 times to get updates, only to hear youll have it by the end of the week. Well give you a call. I got a call today, saying that their insider guy at Seymour Duncan is backed up and having trouble fulfilling order, so...Itll be here Tuesday (4 more days, pushing this over three weeks). Well give you a call. Now, I really am not one to harsh on a business or their owners for something they claim is out of their control. However, seeing as I can push about four buttons on my phone and have a pickup here tomorrow, a Saturday (via Amazon), I have a really hard time believing it takes 3 weeks to get one here through their insider guy. Further, the communication was severely lacking, and Id recommend not making timeline promises that cant be kept. Will I go back? Yes, several times, probably. But, not to order anything through them (unless absolutely necessary), or have any work done on my instruments.Good guys, yes. Decent store, yes. That doesnt mean they dont have a few wrinkles to iron out, at least in my experience. Just thought I should share for any prospective customers.Update! The work they did on my telecaster setup-wise was very very good. Ive updated my review to reflect this.
These guys are the best. They really know their stuff.Due to the nature of the store, they tend to have a lot of unique gear. Case in point - my favorite secret weapon in the studio is an old vintage box that I never would have discovered if it wasnt for my random visits. They also have done a great job helping me maintain my gear - and at a very reasonable charge.Theyre legit.
Very knowledgeable and helpful. Good salesmen are not pushy but help you make a purchase that you will be happy with. Definitely the place to shop if you are buying a guitar.
In my opinion, the best thing about this location is the selection of acoustic and electric guitars. This is about the best music shop in the twin ports and they pack in a good variety of gear. Theyre stocked with guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, synths, pedals, amps, mixers, speakers, drums, and accessories plus a decent array of other items such as brass instruments, microphones, and more. If you need gear, stop in - they might have it. Every time Im in, theyre flush with beautiful guitars running the gamut in style, condition, and price. I recently bought a new/old Ovation acoustic guitar that I immediately fell in love with. I was shocked it lasted so long in stock because it was such a good deal, but it was hiding among all the other great options. This is a good place to spend some time looking through the many gems in great used instruments.
Great music store! Always a great selection of instruments, and a very great staff, that will help in any way! You cant go wrong here, Music Go Round of Duluth Mn. Rocks 100%
Great staff, really nice selection of guitar effects pedals.
This place is great for finding deals on all types of musical instruments. The staff is also very helpful and friendly, and their return policy is great. If you need XLR, balanced, or any other types of cables they offer lifetime warranties on them and honor them. I love this place :)
Great!I had a guitar serviced here and the staff was really nice and even cleaned my guitar when I asked them to string up my instrument. There is a good selection of instruments here and the atmosphere is friendly.
Their entire staff is kind, helpful and knowledgeable! MGR stands Head & Shoulders above all music stores in Duluth. Try them out and see!
A clutter of used gear. The staff is friendly and very easy going. I went there looking to fix up my guitar. It sounds great now and the price was below what I expected.
Very helpful staff that know their stuff!Along with instruments, they also have lessons and a tech available to help you with instrument setup. The best place to go to find new and used gear.
Always happy here!! I would pretty much consider every single one of the guys at this Music Go Round as a friend. Highly recommend this store!! Love these guys!! Thank you!!
Awesome place to get new and used gear for very decent prices. Plus the guyd that run it are cool. Its pretty much where I buy everything music related.
Great spot for new and used gear with a very knowledgeable staff.
Ive purchased a few instruments here and have also had repairs done. Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. A great experience every time!!
Great guys, great gear. Got some cash for old speakers and a tour of amps and pickups for my guitar. They know their stuff, and super down to earth.
Lots of musical gear. Helpful staff that dont act like you dont know anything.
I’m an old guy. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt inspired after my experience yesterday. They had an upright bass that I really wanted, but I needed to trade other gear to make it happen. Eric patiently helped me work out the details- even while I flopped around like a tuna and whined about the trade-in prices, etc. They know their business, you won’t take advantage of them- but that’s Ok. That’s how they’ve stayed in business 20? years...but they won’t try to take advantage of you either. It’s not how they operate. They’ve earned my respect. Thank you guys!P.S. I was out and gone with the bass and a different guy came out to the parking lot with a nice gig bag for it. Eric had not traded for the bass and didn’t know-they could have sold it to someone else- and put another $100 plus in their pocket- I wouldn’t have known...Johnny B
Best music store in the region
Nice, gently used instruments at good prices. Employees were helpful and knowledgeable.
They are always helpful and know what they are doing here.
Everything you want in a bar. Great food!
Lots of gear. Fair prices. Helpful staff.
Always helpful staff. Never pushy. Laid back place with lots of new and used instruments.
Bought a Laney acoustical amp for my daughter. Great price! Brian helped me out. Both informative and overall nice guy
Employees were very helpful in answering any questions I had about products and services they offer, when it came time for me to make my purchase the clerk even went out of his way to find me an identical product (not an off brand, the same exact product) that was marked down and half the price! Very happy with their product selection and customer service.
Always a great store. Ordered an amp head from them, received tracking info within the next day, amp showed up as described and packaged extremely well. Great job...thanks!
Staff was knowledgeable and helpful, bought a beautiful guitar :)
Always helpful and have searched for cords or other items for me, helping me get back on the road to fix another sound system. Great guys.
Ive had good experiences coming here with good customer service. However I am wondering if they do guitar setups and adjustments?
Friendly and helpful staff. Traded in some gear and was in and out quickly.
Inexpensive but quality instruments and repairs. Nice used instruments too.
Friendly staff and great selection! Prices are reasonable and competitive👍
Great prices and great customer service
Awesome staff who were super helpful.
Really nice folks that are versed in music and gear. Its obvious the people there are there because they like what they do. Some items are overpriced, though.
Great stuff! Great staff! Great deals!
Staff is always wonderful and super knowledgable! Any problem i have gets fixed quick and reasonably!
Awesome place Awesome staff.
Great place to find musical treasures! Great staff!
Basic used gear store. Not horrible. But somewhat lacking.
Great place go check it out
Went in there to stall for timr. found a harmonica for a older gentleman house mate. Under 5.00!
Friendliest guys in town and very knowledgeable about all things music. Local shop with local musicians.
Impressive value and prices if youre happy with buying slightly used to used, scratched/marred instruments. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful.
Always easy to deal with. Very eclectic inventory, and super helpful staff.
Great prices, friendly staff, large selections! I make it a point to swing by any time Im in town!
Staff are all good guys and always take care of their customers. Thanks fellas!
Always friendly always helpful, always telling me to plug in and try it before I buy it, unfortunately I have to much anxiety about other people hearing me play to do that.
Great selection friendly staff
Always find what I need, and the guys there know their gear.
Super knowledgeable staff. Plenty of good deals and quality instruments.
The people here are very helpful, answering questions and providing suggestions. The one time I messed up something I bought from them they fixed it immediately, even though it wasnt because of them.
