Easily the best liquor store in town. The variety of local, well known and worldly options are great for any price point or taste. If youre unsure, the people there are knowledgeable and friendly. I wish I had more stars to give!

My husband and I are new to town and I was so excited to have this amazing liquor store literally right down the street. We have been in a few times, we’re impressed by the selection of NA beers that he occasionally will drink. However, after our experience tonight I am appalled. I understand that when selling alcohol you have to be careful, there is potential to loose your job and the license of the company. That being said, I have worked in the service industry for years and there is still a need to take care of the customer. My husband, who has been sober for over ten years went in to buy me a bottle of wine to celebrate the sell of our house, he was told that he ran into an isle, was stumbling and slurring his words. Like I said sober for over ten years and was completely humiliated. I called and asked to speak with a manager, was told it was to late, and all I got was I saw him do it. He was so embarrassed! I have hard time believing the occurrence that is being said by the cashier, needless to say I am extremely disappointed and won’t be going back. Things to consider?

For overpriced Durango the prices in here are in check and near prices in TX at very large chains. Good selection as well. Also a willingness to bring in other liquors potentially. Won me over today on my first visit, I will be back. And did I say friendly service?

I was NOT ready for how fantastic this place is! They have an incredible selection, even stocking some of the more obscure Napa wines that I love. Their selection is amazing, the staff are helpful, and the store is well maintained.This is not a place you drop into on a whim, this is where you go when you are looking for a specific bottle of wine for a specific occasion.Oh, they have other liquors as well. Great selection of vermouths, whiskeys, and other spirits.

The staff are knowledgeable, but more importantly, they really seem to enjoy their work. Every experience is a good one, no matter when you go, or who is working. They have the best selection in town, probably tied (or close to it) with Liquor World and Upper East Side, but I will always drive a couple of extra minutes to head up to Star because I know Ill find awesome people, a legit rewards program and a free bag of ice. Cant beat that right there...

I can’t believe someone gave this store a 1 Star. Inspired me to write a review though. This liquor store is the BEST. Their staff is wonderful and has been consistent for years. Hard to do in this small town which says the owners treats them well. They are quick to welcome you in the store and get you everything you need. Having recently moved across town, I still am loyal and drive past several liquor stores to go there. Best prices and loyalty program! I’d give them a 10 if I could.

Star liquor provided the beer, wine, and liquor for our wedding. They were wonderful to work with. Mike helped us plan out what we needed and was incredibly responsive. They were very affordable and had a great selection. Mike delivered the alcohol and even brought back additional ice later on for us so we didn’t have to make another trip. Overall, they made the process seamless and they also take back unused, undamaged alcohol! Highly recommended

Definitely a great place to go if you want a hard-to-find import, local Colorado brew, or just something different. Their wine and liquor selection is great. Prices are competitive.

Great selection of rarer beers but they also have all your mainstays. The wine selection will certainly please those looking for the vine with a fairly nice selection of local wines as well. The liquor is one of the better selection with a lot of good specials that pop up weekly. Staff is always wandering between the aisles ready to field questions for you and will always be happy to point you to one of their faves. The folks there like beer and are always looking for a new and exciting brew to try.

I went in last night (not the first time, maybe the 1,000th, considering I’ve lived here for over 5 years)I plan events for a business in town, and spent almost $3,000 dollars on cases of wine, just 3 weeks ago. Everytime I go in there their employees act like I’m a new customer (terrible for a small town, GET TO KNOW YOUR CUSTOMERS ALREADY!) Not only that, but I lost my ID about a week ago so had to get a new one.Keep in mind this ID can scan, and it’s what the DMV issued me. The older guy goes “that’s not a valid form of ID”I asked him if he remembered me buying 12 cases of wine an he said “ugh yeah but you gave me an invalid form of ID”Okay, so you’re telling me, Star liquor, that if I get pulled over by a police officer he’s going to say “oh well man you don’t have your old license, this is invalid” NO NO NO. They won’t do that. Sick of the corporate attitude here. I’ll give my business to a liquor store that actually makes an effort to know who comes in there.Management is apparently calling me back, but I’ve dealt with them before when buying my wine, they didn’t impress me either. Didn’t treat me like someone who is buying THOUSANDS of dollars worth of wine. Brittany was the only one who acted like I was worth her time, come to find out she doesn’t work there anymore. Guess they keep the ones with the attitude and let the good ones go. 🤦🏽‍♀️Take your business somewhere that cares.
