Keith and the team at NTB are awesome! I was in a tight jam today and they came through with the best customer service and workmanship that any customer could expect. Wish I could give 10 stars, they really deserve the recognition. Thanks again Keith and your team!!

I had an appointment on May 11, 2021. I arrived on time and everything. I was told it will only take 2 hours for my service, which was just an oil change and to replace my valve cover casket on a Toyota camry. I waited in the waiting room. 3 hours later I came and ask if my car was ready. They told me to give them one more extra hour. I went back and waited for another hour. Again, 1 hour later I came back to check, and they told me my car was not ready. I was mad but I decided to wait again but I told them I had to go to work soon and they told me they will speed it up now. I kept waiting again. 2 and half hours later is when they brought my key to me and told me to pay. I waited 6.5 hours for a job that was supposed to take 2 hours. I paid $250 for the labor. I walked out and went to my car rushing to hopefully get to work on time. Turned the car on and I started hearing a noise from the hood. I opened the hood and saw that the casket cover wasn’t even put back in place and was unhooked. I turned the car back on and saw that the engine light was also on, the engine light wasn’t on when I brought the car in. Called one of them outside. He came and looked at it and said its no big deal. So I drove off and couldn’t even make it to the second traffic light. My car could barely drive. I had to turn around and barely made it back. At that time I was already late for work. I brought the car back and one of the guys argue that nothing is wrong with my car but I can leave it for and come back in 48 hours to pick it up. Called my manger that I will be an hour late. I called my brother to take me to work that day. I called corporate the next day and I was told that they could not do anything about it except that have to wait for the 48-hour period. SMH. 2 days later, I came and got my car. My car was working properly like when I brought it. 4 days later I started having that same issue that I had before I took it to them. So the original issue was never really fixed. But I told myself that I will never go to them again after this, and that is why I didn’t return. If you are reading this please know this is a true story that happened to me. Please do not take your car to any National Tire and Battery locations except maybe for Tires. They are liars and fraud. Their mechanics are bad at what they do. Please save yourself the headache and don’t go. My brother and father had similar issues with them in the past as well . 0/5 (ZERO STAR)

Don’t waste your time at NTB on Hillsborough rd in Durham NC. A 72 dollar oil change turns into 525 dollars bad hose change so they claim. These places are a big Tim rip off. They can have this credit card. I just had a full diagnostic report from the Toyota dealership. No problem either hoses on my vehicle.

I usually make a visit here about every 6 months or so. The staff is always friendly and willing to strike up a conversation while you wait, which is nice. At times the wait is a little long but I dont mind. I usually have to come so they can pull screws/nails out of tires and patch them. They always do an excellent job. Maybe next time they take that magnet of my tires. 😂 Advice that I have received from them is: Dont let anyone tell you they cant fix a tire, unless it has punctured the edge of the tire, then you are screwed. 😳😂

Purchased a replacement Interstate battery for a car. Helpful and friendly staff, prices are similar to others selling the same product. Definitely would return.

I made appt last week to have new tires placed on my car. When I went in today Keith could not find my appt that I made. Keith first of all was very rude and not friendly at all. I said good morning and nothing was said in return. He then went on to say that I had come back on Friday he made no effort to work me do to his employee error. I will not use this location any more for any service.

Had a number of suspension and tire issues with a 2003 Ford Explorer. Scott provided excellent and affordable advice of each issue. The old Explorer has never been as quiet and comfortable! Many thanks to Scott at NTB! (Yes, these guys are always busy. Strongly recommend making an appointment.)

Great place to get your car fix and offer great deals for you.

I 100% do not recommend this location. The service is terrible. They sent my mother home with 3 lug nuts after they broke 2 of them. They lied about it and she drove the car which was a MAJOR safety issue. Scott was VERY nasty on the phone when we tried to speak to him about it. He would not actually allow us to speak with the person who completed the service. He eventually hung up on us. Will not be returning and I will spread the word. I see others with this same experience, so I suggest taking all complaints to corporate. You can not reason with anyone there. They need to do better.

Scott and the boys will do you right at this location.I recommend making an appointment. They are always super busy. Will definitely return after the friendly service I just received.Need tires, alignment, batteries,etc; just give Scott a call and see for yourself!

This Place is a Hit and Miss they are always behind schedule and have you waiting well beyond your schedule appt. One time they forgot to put my engine cover back on after a oil change, when I noticed its after weeks gone by I called and they immediately replaced it with no charge. Prices seem to always go up 😕 when I come in for a oil change 🙄 the front desk guy is very friendly and make your wait less painful then it is with his funny sense of humor.

Went in for a oil change and tire rotation and they did not rotate my tires. I always make a pin mark on my tires on the front wheels to make sure and I showed the manager he did give me a 50% off coupon for my next oil change. Nevertheless I was still not happy I purchased my tires from the NTB in Cary and always carry my car to NTB to get oil changes and all I expect is to do exactly what Im paying you for if I pay you for oil change and tire rotation expectcyou to do it. He blamed it on the workers but as a manager of the store I think its your responsibility to make sure everything is done properly on everyones car

I arrived in town on a Friday, and realized I had a flat tire. I looked up tire places that are open on saturdays. I went in shortly after they opened at 8:05 am. Told them the issue and they said it would be taken care of. 10 hours later, I show up to collect my vehicle before they close. They still haven’t put a plug in it. I was visibly dissatisfied, and the person working the front also noticed, and said the 22 appointments they had take precedence, and he was sorry if that wasn’t satisfactory for me. I continued to wait for the vehicle, and to the next person in line he said how he kept taking cigarette breaks, and how he can’t satisfy everyone. Well, you could’ve, at 8:00am said that you are really busy and probably couldn’t get to it today, and I could’ve found an alternative.

Took them 2 hours on a previously scheduled appointment to install 4 tires and they didn’t even fill the tire pressure correctly.

My car was towed to NTB after a flat tire. Scott and his staff spent all day running multiple diagnostic tests to try and find a leak. They concluded that there was no leak, filled the tire up with air, and checked it hourly throughout the day to ensure the tire held the appropriate pressure. They did not charge me a single dime. By far the best experience I’ve had with an auto shop. Honest people and knowledgeable. As a woman, I’ve had negative experiences with people talking down to me at other auto shops and was treated with nothing but respect and generosity by Scott and NTB. Would give 6/5 stars if possible.

Chris was awesome. Was a wait but, they worked fast and were very professional. They fixed my baby, asked me questions, and was reasonable pricing. Was very satisfied was my first visit to NTB.

Bad service.. They tried two time to cheat me

The quickness of the service was satisfactory however after the tire rotation...I was given a sheet showing my tire balance before and after and how many degrees I was allegedly out of alignment. The after result showed my passengers side real tire still 2 degrees out of alignment and no explanation was given as to why it wasnt aligned.

This shop is taking covid precautions seriously. Also great service and great at honoring appointment times. They work quickly and honor warranties effortlessly

I have been to multiple locations including the NTB/Tire Kingdom brand stores and this one by far is the best and only store worth doing business out of. Unfortunately I have had terrible experiences at another NTB location so I will no longer do business with NTB.Business is as good as the people you put it in. The reason for this positive review despite the poor experience from other location is the people in this store.Jack has been the most honest, knowledgeable, and friendly person I have met at NTB. He has helped me over the course of a year and truly deserves a raise and a promotion. Thanks for all you do!Kim the store manager runs a great staff. Went in for a re balance of my 35 inch mud tires on my stock 20 inch wheels and Had a crazy thing happen, i know accidents happen but this was a crazy situation and lucky that this ntb has such a great staff. my old wheel weight got stuck between my rim and hub and the technician didnt realize it and crazy enough they balanced the tires so well i didnt even notice or feel anything even though my wheel was not fully seated on my axle hub. Now when i found about this i had driven about ten miles and a guy told me at a light your wheel is wobbling down the road, of course i did what anyone would do and you pull over but also freak out cause this was not good, and could of caused a major problem, so i called ntb right away and it was late in the day almost closing time i spoke to the assistant manager, he stopped what he was doing came to me in less then 10 min and fixed the problem on the side of the road, if thats not good customer service i dont know what is thankfully nothing was wrong with my truck, everything is smooth now and good but because he took so much pride in his work and for his employees shows what kind of guy he is a real stand up guy. one thing i will say im a customer for life even if something like this happens, they showed me they cared about my business, and also ntb can balance a tire perfectly!!!!!

I do not recommend this tire shop, they are too irresponsible and dirty to work with, they told me that my tires had it from 11:00 am to 12:00 am they made me wait until 5:00 pm because they still did not have them, after they put it in my truck It had no noise but when they gave it to me I took it with a lot of squeaks and to top it off they broke 3 bolts of a tire, and they told me that there was not a problem, .. I would definitely never go to that tire shop.

Kind, experienced, patient people who will take the time to explain car mechanics (if thats what you want) and do everything the can to not make you not pay an arm and a leg.

The staff at this location have been very helpful over the last month with several issues that Ive had with my tires. I appreciate that they are open later than most auto shops (7pm most days) and they were very helpful in offering me discounts where they were applicable.

This place is great. I was able to drop my Jeep off without an appointment on a Sunday. Scott, the manager, let me know what to expect and when they would be able to work on the tire. When its time to buy new tires Im heading back to NTB.

I have been having trouble with my car a lot lately and on the way to work this morning I hit a pot hole bent the rim on my tire and had to put on the spare I had to drive 40 minutes back on the highway so I couldnt use a spare the whole way and ntb was the nearest place. I walked right in and told them my problem and they were able to fix my rim and get a new tire on it and while telling the one woman my problems the manager it seemed like asked if he could change my oil since I needed it done and everything was affordable! The customer service is amazing and my car is running smoothly!

The manager, Scott, was great. He was dead honest, and he didnt charge me for a very simple fix. I will definitely be going back.

Left two vehicles for service. Forgot to give them the second key and the clerk / Manager, Scott, also forgot to ask for it. The store did not call when they realized they didnt have a key. Instead, they did the other service, called me to come pick up, then when I asked about the second vehicle Scott blamed me for not leaving the key. When I asked if I could still get the work (a simple state inspection) done, Scott, instead of moving to quickly fix his mistake, asked if I had another two hours to wait.Also, during my initial visit, Scott raised his voice to chastise one of his female employees, in front of not only me but other customers as well. Absolutely unprofessional and uncalled for.I would only ever visit this NTB again if it ended up under new management. The other employees seemed nice.

I came in Saturday to order new tires which I was going to go ahead and spend $800 I set a apt to come in Tuesday ..when I arrived they told me they only had two tires nobody called me nobody communicated so I knew what I was as walk-in into... I said fine put them on there I have a trip Thursday as long as it’s done before then... when I come to pick my car back up at five which was the time they said they would b done with my car...I pull up to see it is still sitting there and nobody has touched I asked for a manager they said the manager got fired yesterday I don’t know what kind of business y’all are running here but if you want customers to trust you with their vehicle and also spending money up to 700 to 1000 $ with you guys on tires and services you guys need to make sure your customer service is on point, communication is on point, and make sure your customers are happy as of right now I will never shop here again and I don’t think u should spend ur money here tooGo to discount tire

I consistently go here for my oil changes and never feel like they try to hustle me into doing more on my car like most other repair places. They are honest about what should be done to your car and what can wait. The staff have always been extremely nice. The location has great access to Wimpys Grille and Coco cinnamon. Just make sure you have an appointment on the weekend if you are running a tight schedule as it can get pretty busy.

Made an appointment the day before, the time slot was honored. In and out with no hassle and they provided excellent pricing, car drove much smoother afterward. Highly recommended!

I like the personality of Shop man Chris. He is very enthusiastic about his work. I didnt catch the name of the other young man he was working with, but they worked well as a team.My only disappointment was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The customer waiting area needs a face lift through corporate or independent owner. But overall I will be back ....thanks you all for your service!

I actually scheduled an oil change and waited while it was completed. I have sat here for over an hour and a half and they still have the car in the bay. Ridiculous. Not even a busy day here.

Came in late on a Sunday because my battery was super dead. Took them 30 minutes with no appointment to replace it at a great price. PS - Their new manager is EXCELLENT!

Picked up a nail in the tire, while on the interstate. Needed a fast fix to get back on the road. They were unable to fix it but had a replacement tire in stock. They were surprisingly quick with the switch. However staff could have been a little more professional. Also, it has been a while since I got new tires but it seemed a little pricey on the install.

Never go here I went it to have a tire replaced upon me get my car back I started it and immediately noticed my battery like was on. And it said to service battery charging system. This light has never came on since I had this car. Now after getting a tire changed didnt even make it out the lot when I noticed this problem . brought to theyre attention. And was told to drive it in if I have any problem call them for a jump lol. Im from out of town. Made it back to my daughter moms house to find out they striped one of my connectors . car ran for 5 minutes cut off and would not start. Now I m Start out of town in possible mite lose my job. Never go to this place. They fix one thing and brake another. Old mechanics trick . I found what they broke One my car wish i could upload a picture

Slow and poor job. I came here to have two tires replaced and have an alignment. They brought my car into the garage two hours after the appointment. The individual who worked on my car did a sloppy job. Not enough air was put in the tires so when I drove off my tire pressure light went off. They added more air to two tires. After I left again I realized when I would accelerate up to certain speed my car would shake which did not happen before bringing it here. I had to make another appointment which again, I waited over an hour before my car was brought into the garage, for a mistake THEY made. Never again. I am a very understanding person. If the facility is understaffed, do not make more appointments or take more people in a day if you will not get the job done quickly and efficiently. Whats the point of making an appointment.

I got a flat driving on my spare tire so I was really stuck. The hours are great and you can book a same-day appointment on the website. Chris was great- very helpful. He answered all my questions and helped me figure out a way to get my car to the shop. Bryan and Alex worked on my car and explained suggested repairs very clearly. I got a set of all new tires with their Buy2Get2 package deal (including a free alignment if needed.) Thank you so much for your help today!

Poor customer service from the second I walked in. The gentleman at the counter wouldn’t acknowledge me until he was done with his text conversation and was very rude after that. I had an appointment for a tire rotation and waited over an hour before they even took the vehicle back. In short I will not be back to this location.UPDATE: Downgrading to a 1 Star due to the fact they did the rotation wrong. Upon closer look they just swapped the front and rear tires but did not change sides as they should’ve for a proper tire rotation.

I had an appointment, repeat, an appointment to get an oil change and tire rotation. It took 1 hour 45 minutes. Something is wrong here. It should take 15 minutes to get the vehicle in the air, take the oil plug out, pull the tires and roll them to new location, then another 15 minutes to replace the oil plug, screw on the filter and remount the tires, drop the vehicle and add the oil. I’ll add another 10 for fluff. But no way it take longer than that if you HAVE AN APPOINTMENT.

Only ever had great experiences here. Doesnt feel like a chain at all. Staff (Cory, Chris and co) are helpful and friendly, services are priced fairly, and its handy that its open weekends.

First and last time coming here. Was excited when I saw the reviews and seemed to be like a decent garage. I had an appointment to get my oil changed and it took over an hour. Several employees were in the front on there personal cell phones instead of pay attention to customers. I stood at the front desk for over 15 minutes with several employees walked passed me with no assistance. Seems as if they do not have enough experienced employees for the business to function properly. Wish this could have been a garage I returned to. Now, off to find another garage for regular car maintenance. Durham, NC location.

Really like these guys! I took a tire up there that had gone flat and the young man fixed it in 20 minutes. He was very polite and helpful.

This location is awesome !!! This very rude customer came in (I believe hes the one that left a negative comment today and lied about his experience, @illien lsow) being disrespectful to the manager because he forgot to leave his keys for them to service his car. But Scott the store manager and Kim the service manager know theyre stuff. They both helped educate me about my car and made sure I made the best decision with boys tires. I didnt know my tires had wire showing, I came in for a oil change. Kim showed me the condition of my tires and explained my options. This very rude customer called them all types of names including a dumba** mf. Scott and Kim are the best !!!! Wish I could give them 10 stars !!!

First day in town and brakes went out!. Manager was fantastic and stayed late to fix my car. Super impressed and thankful.

I came with an apportionment to replace 1 tire and have an oil change. I ended up waiting for nearly 3 hours without any prior communication that there would be a delay. The store was nearly empty and clearly making an apportionment does not mean much. They also did not complete some of my requests, such as rotating tires.

Made an appointment on Tuesday . When I pulled up, the employee in the front told me he couldn’t find my appointment. Okay. Fine. Made an appointment for Thursday at 12. I was advised to drop my car off in the morning for faster service. Dropped my car off at 7am. I advised the front desk guy my key was broken and there was a trick to starting my car. Told himI COULD SHOW HIMHOW TO START THE CAR, but he REFUSED TO FOLLOW ME BACK OUT AND STATED “no worries, we got this.” I get a call at 12 (my original appointment time). They can’t start the car. I tell them how to start it. They say “Okay, got it.” Pulled back up at 4pm. CAR HASNT BEEN SERVICED.They couldn’t start the car they say. Look at my key, it even MORE BROKEN then I left it. It’s a $300 key.I asked for a tire rotation. They advised me they’d do it. Then it was they couldn’t. Because my back tires have no alignment ? What does THAT EVEN MEAN!!!!Get my car back. Check my oil light. Not even reset. This is $60 oil change. I get better service at places where I pay $20.Total waste of my time. Employees are completely incompetent.I’ll never be back. This establishment will never get my service and honestly shouldn’t get yours.

I used to really like this place but it is so disorganized now. I made an appointment to get my oil changed and apparently appointments dont mean anything anymore here. A thirty to forty-five minute wait (with an appointment) is fine by me but not two hours.

The guys were so nice. Helped us so quickly. We were heading to Kansas & these were our lifesaver. Not all super heroes wear capes some where NTB shirts especially the garage supervisor & the boss. Thank yall all the way from Kansas (when we get there lol)

Great people, great price. Had them put on 4 new tires. They had the tires in within two days, my appointment the next day, and I was out within an hour. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Great store with professional staff. I was late for my appointment & they were still able to service my car. They were also able to put much needed tires on my car even though that wasnt they reason for my appt.

The Interstate battery is a good, well reviewed battery that is a great deal for the price. They tried to tell me my alternator was bad and sell me a replacement for $1100. Another shop quoted $640 and said the alternator was fine so suggested I dont replace it. I didnt replace it and was fine. Almost lost $1100

Google should reconsider its rating scale for these guys. Easily 6 out of 5 star service. Incredible and consistent.

7pm on an exhausting day. Christian encouraged us to come in even though it was late. Walked in with a customer in front of me who left saying He will take good care of you. Hes awesome!. Christian did not disappoint! So kind and helpful to a couple of stressed out/exhausted Durhamites, with the last thing they wanted to deal with car issues at the end of a long day. Give that guy a raise! What a business ASSET!Not only will we come back but will recommend NTB to all our friends and associates! Back soon!

I had heard good reviews about NTB and needed some new tires. I made a 12:00 appointment, and they did not even pull my car into the garage until after 1:00. The work took well over an additional hour (I was only having two tires replaced). One employee apologized for my wait, but they seemed really understaffed. I also watched as people who came after me and didn’t have a scheduled appointment got in and out before I did. Not sure if they’re just not used to being as busy as they were, but I’m not impressed with the wait time or the customer service and probably won’t be back.

Organized, great staff, timely and berry honest. Being a certified mechanic I diagnosed a problem came here to two repairs and the mechanic here said dont need this done. They are great. Today Im having my wifes car inpected the informed me a safety is all I need because its new. Thanks NTB!

A good place to get tires or get car fixed.

!BEWARE! These people marked me as an easy target because I was a single woman bringing my car in for service. Little did they know my father taught me how to work on cars and I knew they were full of it. Heres what happened: I went here to have a quick oil change before an unexpected road trip since I couldnt get in at my usual place. After completing the oil change they came back trying to tell me my battery was bad, however I had the battery replaced this past winter so unless the starter or the DC to DC converter (I drive a hybrid) was going out on me there should be nothing wrong with the battery. Not to mention the battery was still under warranty as it had been less than a year since I purchased and installed it. I immediately suspected that they were trying to screw me over so I went to have my battery, starter, and DC to DC converter checked for good measure since I was about to drive 500 miles. The diagnostics report showed that my car was working properly and everything was in tip-top shape. BEWARE! If they tell you something is wrong with your car GET A SECOND OPINION!

Would avoid. Arrived for my scheduled appointment on time. Was told it would be 1-1.5 hrs even though all the bays were empty. Walked down the street and came back 30 minutes later. My car, the only one there, was still sitting outside and everyone was sitting in the garage not doing any work. I mentioned this to the manager and they finally pulled my vehicle into the bay. Needed one tire replaced, wheel rotation, alignment. 30 minutes later the guy comes in and says I’m all set. On questioning he only replaced the tire and didn’t do the alignment or rotation. The vehicle was pulled back into the bay once more.No one here seems to know what’s going on or just don’t care. Overall a disappointing experience.

Worst place i’ve been they robbed me money, They charge me more that what i asked, they Charge me without Marking in on the system. DONT COME HERE I SAY NEVER COME HERE . RUDE OWNER AND ALSO JOHNNY IS THE ONE THAT ROBBED OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE BEWARE

Ive had two bad experiences there. The first involved taking my car in, getting a quote, then having the manager tell me at pickup that the he had misquoted the original price and demanding 20% more. The second involved my wife taking her car in for a flat tire, getting it back, finding that the alignment was off, then taking it back and having the staff tell her that the car had a new problem that they just happened to not notice when they repaired her flat tire. At best, my last two experiences have been unprofessional and shoddy. At worst, theyve been good-old-fashioned auto mechanic scams. If you see NTB, I say keep driving!

Very nice place! 👍🏼The layout was a little weird with empty floor space and sparse seating in the front where you first walk in, however I could hear a tv in the back so when I walked towards it I found the nicest little waiting area with complementary coffee and cold water and a vending machine.The entire store is very clean, including the bathrooms (THANK YOU!). The mechanics were very polite and had great, warm personalities.Maybe theyre in the process of new product display and inventory set up? But regardless it was still very nice.I came early in the day, about 9:30am, so it wasnt busy at all. They gave me a standard 45min-1hr time frame and were right on spot.THANKS NTB! Yall are rockstars!

Cant complain with the tires or alignment. However, a one hour service time (their words) turns into just over two hours! I would have taken a ride home if they had been honest about the timeframe. I live 1/2 mile from the store but am unable to walk that far. Other vehicles came and went before my vehicle was finished. Took them over an hour and a half just to change my tires and 20 minutes for my alignment? Just a tad annoying.

Staff was great and quick. Made an appointment same day for an oil change. I got there early, and they took my car early. Definitely going back here.

I had an appointment for 11:00 am, they didnt even bother to tell me of any delay so i had to wait over an hour before they got to my car. Whats the point of making an appointment for an oil change if they dont actually service your car soon after getting there? The service manger tried to sell me something to repair on my car as i waited which they always try to do and declined. So, i got my oil changed and was supposed to have my tires rotated, but that didnt happen, they even marked it complete on the invoice! One of the mechanics saw me looking over my tires said they couldnt be rotated, saying the front tires have more tread than the back tires, in which they did not, then said he could sell me some new tires, i said no thanks then left. I always tell myself not to go back to this place, but always do. These junior mechanics just dont care about there customers, just want to get as much as your money as possible, not to mention they have no customer service skills. I wont be going back there again.

Good service at a fair price.

Overall Ive gotten consistently good service here, but this last time they told us our dealer sponsored policy that covered tire repair only applies where we bought the tire which wasnt true. Will still go back.

Ive been going to this location for years. Corey and Christian are always wonderful and provide excellent customer with a side of humor always.

They were courteous and saw me and helped me out even though I neglected to make an appointment which is generally recommended.

They are liars and will do anything to get extra money
