After walking by this place many times when I was downtown, I stopped in to take a look. There was such a wide variety of African clothing, jewelry, art and just about everything else you can imagine. I even bought a Dashiki. I recommend anyone to stop by and see all this place has to offer.

I had the PURE PLEASURE of going to this AWESOMELY UNIQUE shop a few days ago. First of all, my Sister and I drove 45 minutes from Wendell, NC! I am NOT fond of Durham AT ALL! Yet, the SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE and truly one of a kind items!! A MUST have is the Coco Mango Shea Butter made by the Owner’s Beautiful Wife!! I FULL SUPPORT BLACK OWNED BUSINESS! And I assure you that I will DEFINITELY be coming back to Exotique SOON!

A Durham gem. Wonderful friendly people, interesting merchandise and the best lemongrass oil anywhere.

I love this African boutique! This is one of the rare Gems of Durham! If you haven’t been please go. Exotique is the place you go to find unique, one of a kind finds. In a world where everything is so “copy and paste” same ole same ole, it’s a relief that I get to live so close to a rare Gem like Exotique.

I have found my dreams wrapped up in brick and mortar. The store was so many items I was overwhelmed. I will be back. I need time to wander and touch without feeling like I’m in someone’s way. If you are of the diaspora you will love this store. If you’re not from the diaspora you can at least appreciate the store.

Lovely eclectic store. Beautiful clothing in fabrics that are bright and exotic. Saw two incredible hats today and purchased one. The jewelry made me want to spend more time but i will look more on my next visit.

All sorts of exotic clothing and art, buy the scented oils too. A little on the expensive side but thats because its imported from actual African locations!

Just left the store and the smell is amazing! No more oils from big business stores. Bought waist beads and oils and this was a very personal experience. Don’t just walk there RUN there.

Great place to purchase African Cultural clothing and jewelry

I came to this establishment at the exact time they claimed it would be open on Saturday morning at 11 am only to find a locked door, lights off and an open sign lit up. I came from the southside of Raleigh to get there and it would have been my first time going but I wont be back bc clearly the business hours are off and need to be updated and staff needs to be there when they say they are going to be open.

I arrived here on a Thursday at 11:50 am only to find this location closed. I came here to purchase some African fabric and to my disappoint I am unable to do so. It is now 12:15 and they are still closed. Business hours are 11-9pm! Call them before you make the drive out here!
