This is an impressive diner. They have a large waiting area before you enter the dining area. The dining area is exceptionally clean, large and roomy. There are booths, tables and a counter area to eat at. They have a good variety of the usual diner sandwiches, platters and desserts. The food is good and the portions are just right. The prices are reasonable and service is good. I gave it 4 stars because the food is standard. As far as cleanliness and well maintained, it deserves five stars.
Service was excellent! food was delicious. great placeUpdate!!So I been coming every weekend ever since this post. Haven’t been disappointed. I made the mistake of coming during the week. Service was terrible and the portions were smaller then the last couple of times I been. Your staff was having a union meeting by the coffee machine while we waited for our toast and coffee. Waitress gave the bill while we were eating. The guy manager that’s usually here when I come wasn’t here. What a difference in atmosphere when a strong manager is present. I’ll only be back on weekends.
I love going to this diner! The owner is super friendly and so kind. The food here always hits the spot and comes out exactly how you ordered it. The place is always clean and has the friendliest service. I specifically go to this diner because I always have a quality experience here. Definitely recommend!
We loved this place. Went around 2pm after a local visit. Hubby had been here before and was happy. We both got French onion soup which was delicious. I got the open faced tuna melt on rye with coleslaw and beets. The tuna was absolutely yummy with cheese and tomato on top. My husband got the Seville wrap (bacon, egg and cheese} loved it. All food was fresh and our waitress was a sweetheart and very efficient and made sure we were happy. Great diner!
First time here. The food was delicious and plentiful! Our server was very attentive. The owner, George, introduced himself. Just a very nice experience overall. We will definitely be back!!!
The Seville is immaculately clean with special vigilance during this health crisis. The food is delicious. The servers friendly and helpful. I noticed them using hand sanitizer after handling money at the register or picking up their cash tips. They value the health of their customers and would love to see you come in for a meal!
Great breakfast experience, and... Very good prices as well. Over twenty choices at less than $7.50 are available.Had the HEALTHY OMELETTE with chicken, turkey also available, plus sweet onions, and well done home fries, and whole wheat toast with strawberry jam. Deliciously done and very filling.
This was my first experience at this diner and what a amazing staff and very kind owner. Our waitress Kristen was a sweetheart and so professional and kind. I would recommend this place 110% to anyone. The food was very good as well. What made this a great experience was the staff. I will always ask for Kristen when I come in!!! Thank you Seville diner staff for this wonderful experience.
Its a diner so quality is as appropriate. Plenty of items on the menu. Staff is well trained and service is good. Clean and bright interior. Easy to get in and out. Sometimes parking is tight. Classical American diner.
Hubby and I went on Valentines morning for the first time.Food was great! He had an egg white omelette that he said was fantastic. I had eggs, Taylor and potatoes - equally great. Really good coffee too.Our server (Diane, I think) was so pleasant and attentive. Diner was spotless clean, bathroom well kept too. We met the owner on the way out - very nice man.We will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!!!
My husband and I went to several different diners trying to find the best diner in the Old Bridge area. Hands down the best diner is the Seville Diner. The food is great and the General Manager, George, always makes us feel like we’re home.
The food was great! The waitress was very nice and attentive. I had grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup for my lunch. Great for a cold day.
The owner/manager is literally the nicest man known. He noticed I wasn’t eating asked if the food was okay and when I told him I wasn’t feeling well he gave me a QUART not a pint of chicken noodle soup on him. I’ve been coming here nearly my whole life and I will continue to. Servers & management are so friendly food is amazing. If I could give 15 stars I would !
Food was very good. Staff is very nice and attentive to your needs. Food came out very quick. I will definitely be going back.
Nice and friendly staff. Their doing a great job with limited staff
Best food around. Sausage omelette with American cheese and a baked potato instead of home fries is one of my favorite dinners there. Spouse loves the cob salad. Staff is great and reflects owner and manager.Update -- my wife picked up a takeout order a couple days ago but she was given the wrong one. The manager called to tell me since I had called it in and expressed his sincere apologies more than once. I called my wife and she returned to pick up the right one. The manager carried the food to her car and apologized again. He is always a total pro and a gentleman. And, as usual, the food was great.
Good food at reasonable prices. Excellent salad bar choices that are fresh and continuously refilled. Love it for any meal especially their waffles for breakfast! Light and delicious!
Came here for thanksgiving dinner. Very reasonable $21 per person. Included soup, salad bar, dessert (pie or pudding), and main dish, of which there were 5 or 6 different options. The wait staff was friendly and prompt even though there were so many customers. The manager greeted us on our way in and was very personable.I really enjoyed the experience and will be going back when Im in the area.
The Seville Diner is a Wonderful NJ Landmark Diner you can count on for excellence in informal family-style dining. Family owned and operated means every customer will feel like Family... because family is who you are to them. They have a real salad bar! Seating is roomy and is so unlike the crowd of highway hamburger feeding franchises, you wont feel boxed in. The servings are generous and all-around satisfying. Yum!
Good NJ diner! I go here fairly often with my family. Its best diner in the area, has the typical NJ diner team, not too fancy but also not ran down either. Generally clean and inviting. We normally just get breakfast food regardless of time of the day, my favorite here being Athenian omelette. Pancakes and waffles are also usually good. Coffee is decent so thats all I expect and thats what I get, decent meal at decent price.
Friendly staff, great food, quick service! Were able to make a custom pancake creation on request with no problem. Clean bathrooms, plenty of seating. Will return!
Seville Diner has been here a long time. I havent been in awhile and while running errands with the husband decided to have a late breakfast. We were a bit disappointed as our omelettes had little taste. The eggs and potatoes could have used some seasoning. Well have to try again another day.
My husband and I love this place. I love the clean, simple, homemade style food they serve. It’s very easy to eat clean healthy here. Fresh steamed vegetables without oil or seasoning are my favorite side there. Of course you can go all out too with really good burgers, French onion soup, and my favorite split pea soup on Thursdays. Good service too.
Great place! Been here more than once because of the friendly service, extensive menu and cleanliness! The breakfast portions are very filling and the coffee is delicious. Cant wait to try something new! Yum :-)
The Diner was awesome as it usually is the Burgers and the Onion rings are among the best around. I would give the diner 5 stars any night but tonight, I know its New Years Eve. We sat and ordered our food, again which was great, the waitress told us when she put the food down, we are closing at 7PM is was 6:35. Could you have had a sign by the door or say something on the way in. Again its a Holiday, but its a diner. Great food and people want to eat before participating at a party. Great food, Service or Management.......
I have not been here in years but the last time I went the food was amazing.I used to come here all the time but now this is 30 minutes from my house so idk how it is now.
Extensive menu with daily special offerings. Management and waitresses are exceptional. This diner has something for everyone. Burgers, soups and sandwiches to full dinners and salad bar. Soups are homemade and delicious. Even a picky eater could find something to be happy with.
Decent food and prices. Service was good. Nice assortment of desserts. Split pea soup was excellent.
Visiting from out of town and received great service. Good experience with food and service. My kids were happy with kids meals which included ice cream. Burgers my wife and I ordered were great. They have a breakfast menu and serve breakfast all day. Manager or Owner (not sure which) took the time to show me the desserts in the cases. Baking done on premises. Wife happy with desert - carrot cake..
First time for my husband and me. Clean place with a good, extensive menu. Server was nice, but she was more attentive to her regulars. We asked for French fries instead of home fries, but our food came out with home fries. We reminded her about the French fries, she said ok, but we never got the fries. Refills on coffee only when we asked her. I asked for syrup for the pancakes, but never got that either, so I got up and took it from the counter.I would definitely give this diner another try. Seems like a good place with good food. Our waitress seemed tired and just plain disinterested.
5 star isnt enough for this diner! This place is to die for! Passed it for years always wondered how good the food was. But finally have some time to myself with my lady and we are here and man o man. Out of every diner we have eaten at this is by far the best one! Food was out standing! Portions were huge! Service?! Was out standing! Never in my life have I had service like this! I never tasted onion rings with the onion still juicy inside until today!!! Chili fries were out of this world!!!! Cant wait to eat this tomato soup we got from the owner!! Will be eating here every Thursday!!!!!
I joined my Uncles family for a late dinner after the evening wake of a relative. We got to the Diner 25 minutes prior to closing - the staff had already broken down the large salad bar and were doing side work. When the owner and his staff saw how tired and hungry we were, they assured us not to worry about the closing time and welcomed our group of 7 as if we were their family. The service we received was prompt and professional and we all felt that the restaurant staff worked especially hard at making us feel at home and comforted. The food was delicious and after eating, I felt that all was well with the world.I live 3 hours away from the Seville Diner but will surely eat there when Im back in town.
Good food, friendly service (she was working alone covering two large groups) but a little slow. My breakfast club tried this place out for the first time. We gave it a score of 3.5 because of the slowness but well go back to see if the score will improve next time. They could use some updating but not a deal breaker. The orders were correct, food was hot, taste was on point.
Very impressive. First visit. Was mid week so not overly busy. Prices normal, nothing crazy. Very nice service, waitress was very personable. Even the owner was out on the floor with everyone. Overall nice place. Worthy of a return trip. Tips were earned too.
Very nice place, friendly staff and good food.
Food was great, but the server asked me if I was interested in desert before I had even finished my meal. I was also harassed to pay my check about 10 minutes after receiving it. Meanwhile I saw at least 10 other booths that were open, and there was no line at the door. This diner definitely likes to get people in and out quickly, do not come here and expect to stay long. I have never experienced this at any other diner, and will not be coming back.
This is one of the classiest diner/restaurants in New Jersey. The staff is impressive and the food is excellent and out in a reasonable amount of time. Spotless.
This is first time I have been there so this rating can change in the future. We went there sort of late for dinner and were seated right away. Our waitress was very nice and attentive throughout the meal. We ordered 2 kids meals right away which came with a small drink and ice cream and those came out quickly. We ordered disco fries as an app which were good but it was a little small and light on the cheese (get mozzarella not American). My cheesesteak was good and my wifes chicken gryo was okay. It was just lacking a little flavor (8 hey the lamb would have been better). We also interacted with the manager who was a very nice man and friendly to our children. We will definitely give this place another try.
This was our first visit. When we walked in we were surprised at how nice it was inside. Very clean. Menu had a lot of choices, service was very good
Good local diner with a large menu. Never seems to be too crowded (at least from the times Ive been in there). Service is quick and attentive.
For a diner in New Jersey, this restaurant is average and therefore I considered a rating of three stars to be correct. The interior and exterior are pleasant, but uninspiring and typical of most diners. However, the somewhat dated furniture and seating lack privacy or comfortable accomodations. Overall the staff has been pleasant, but at times short-staffed servers are prone to get flustered at times. The food offering options are creative and relatively well presented. My biggest concern is is that options portrayed as healthy are all too often prepared with excessive oil and inattention to tenderness of the protein options. Still, if you want typical dinner food, you wont be disappointed.
I have been coming here for years. The food and atmosphere feel like home. The specials are awesome and are always changing. It truly is a pleasure dining here and I look forward to it each time .
My parents and I went in tonight for dinner, and it was great! Weve occasionally stopped in the past for dinner, and it was okay, a regular diner experience. Not sure what makes today different from our past experiences, but the food was fresh and hot, the salad bar was clean and well stocked, and the fruit salad was pretty good too! Our waitress Crystal was very pleasant.
Unfortunately the quality Had gone down over the years. Feel like you play waitress roulette, you never know who or what kind of attitude you will get. Average at best...
The food is average but not bad. Price seemed a little expensive considering it was mainly pasta. 3 stars but not bad.
Place was really great. I had good service and the waitress was very considerate of my moms food allergies. The good was really good as well.
Recently moved to the area and stopped here for breakfast one weekend. Then the next weekend. And just finished lunch now. Each time, its been fast and friendly service and great food! Definitely a place Id recommend and will continue to return to.
Food very good. Little pricey but good portions. Always fresh foids.
I have been coming here to eat my whole life and I have to say the food and staff have consistently been on point. My waitress had a smile on her face the whole time and was such a sweetheart.. the food melts in your mouth. ♥️
It was excellent, with great service and the food was amazing. Perfect place for a family gathering. I recommend it 100%.
Food not as gud as it used to be. Pea soup awesome. Need better cake. And better salad bar.
Service is always good to great, food as well . Business is run and held to a standard that is rare, pleasant and delicious.
Very good salad. Server was attentive. We paid the bill with cash, but the cashier couldnt figure out how to take the 10% senior discount off. It would have paid for half the tip.
So I feel the one thing you should not be as you work in an environment with food would be sick. It’s almost repulsive to have a visually sick person sniffling and stuffy throat ask what you would like to eat. I have been coming here for 22 years and this just doesn’t work. AND it’s March not January. Maybe running outside last night while drinking 14 beers and three shots of tequila was a bad choice. Other people shouldn’t suffer because you wanna have a good time with your friends. In all seriousness, people that are in the industry if dealing with people should not be coming to work sick. And why the owner would allow this baffles me.
Good service. Great salad bar. I had the soup and unlimited salad bar. Was not crowded for lunch on Saturday.
Great place with great food. The serving staff is second to none. Especially the morning crew of Cathy and Rhonda. They are kind, frienly, and outgoing. So if your by yourself or with the family the am serving crew at the Seville is there to take good care of you.
The food is okay diner fare but the salad bar is only so-so. The parking lot is small and, when theyre busy, its impossible to find a spot. Staff is friendly but forgetful. Meh describes my experience with this place.
I was in on Monday, May 2, 2016 at approximately 9:30. Breakfast was on point. Delicious!! The hostess/manager was friendly and very professional, a true asset. i sat at the counter and Cathy was my waitress. She was GREAT. Smiling, positive and very knowledgeable in regards to the menu, she recommended the french toast, it was wonderful. There was also a very pretty blonde waitress, and an older waitress. Both were equally pleasant. Way to go Seville. You will definitely get my business again and I will tell my friends. Thank you!
Good food. basic diner. waitress are usually in good mood and the owner is always there helping.
As others have mentioned the prices have gone up and the quality has lessoned. Tried for about a year now to stomach the prices and smaller portions- but cannot any longer.Moved onto other local diners.
I left my glasses there and they were kind enough to help me get them back from across the country. The people there are so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
Very good Diner. Dont expect to see a fancy menu. But for a jersey Diner food you cant go wrong here. Service is good and the owner is friendly. Not open 24 hours which was a little surprising but on this section of Route 18 there is not much traffic so that probably explains why.
Service is excellent, very attentive. Loved their Eggs Benedict, but the home fries were boring. Loved the sweet potato fries, but the nachos were just average (cheese remained liquid even when cooled).
Always enjoyed a great meal with mom. She loved the rice pudding.
The atmosphere is horrible and the owner is terrible. We were treated like absolute garbage. The waitress came to the table and when my boyfriend can you give us a second. She was very rude. (. She said OMG). Are you kidding me? I have waited tables and bartended at numerous restaurant and bars and never ever treated customers like that. I am now at the old bridge diner and the it is a million times better and the waitress Cindy is absolutely amazing and I just received my food and have been here less than 10 minutes
Love this place. Go here on my way to/from Rutgers. Definitely a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat if you are in the area. The staff are also super friendly here.
Stopped here late on a Saturday night and it was really good. Our server was very nice and attentive. I dont live in the area but next time Im around Ill definitely go back.
Food is good. Service a little hurried. Only 2 servers on and no host. They were running their buts off. Manager was no where in sight.
There is a good reason this dinner is so popular. The service is good and fast, prices are decent. Both times I came parking was a bit tight and the table could be cleaner but overall I give it a firm B and most certainly will go there again.
Been going to this diner dating back to high school (30-ish years). Have always loved the food and the staff. Occasionally theres a waitress that doesnt get it, but not often enough not to go back. Usually our weekly go-to restaurant.
Pretty good local diner that I find myself at fairly often. The staff is friendly and the food is brought out pretty quick. Not much more you could ask for from a dinner.
My family and I have been going here for years and the food has always been good! The service is always friendly and they provide a pleasant atmosphere. The desserts by the entrance are delicious as well!
Does are a dime a dozen, but Seville is a real gem. The wait staff are a little too vocal about their assignments and who is getting more tables, but Ive worked retail, I get it. It doesnt bother me but it might bother other people.Ive been here many times with my mother, and its easily our favorite diner in the area. The food is consistently good and the bananas foster French toast is absolutely heavenly, and they dont skimp on the bananas. It may look a bit run down or outdated, but give it a try. I hope youll be glad you did.
Standard New Jersey diner. Good omelette. Friendly waitress. Great coffee!
Host sat us quickly. Ordered a breakfast. I enjoyed it. People were friendly. Would recommend this place
Poor food, ordered take out was asked to tip. I always tip servers never felt obliged to tip counter workers. Regardless, should’ve never been asked. Food was wrong, paid 15 $ each for 2 dinner meals. My fried chicken was dry and had 2 onion rings. BOTH my sides of mashed potatoes and zucchini had been missing. Other Pot roast dish was just dry meat. No onion, no seasoning, no flavor. If you’re going to demand a tip, make sure you did your job of quality control. Returned all the food and they voided the receipt, that’s what the 1 star is far. Otherwise it would be 0. Won’t ever return here.
If I could give this place no stars I would. I went there on 1/3/2020 with my boyfriend because he had been wanting to go for our anniversary. I walked in with my own Dunkin Donuts coffee and was told I had to put it in a separate cup. There was NO PRIOR signage that said I would need to do this, at other restaurants such as Dennys, iHop, or even other diners I HAVE NEVER been told to put MY OWN DRINK in another container. The other owner (I assume) laughed as I poured my drink and said You can bring any other drink like alcohol, but not a Dunkin Donuts coffee, which frustrated me even further. Secondly, my boyfriends french onion soup came out cold, he ate as much as he could because he was paying for it and didnt want to make a scene. As we were leaving to pay at the counter, my boyfriend pulled out his card and was told by the owner that There is a 10$ minimum fee and he would have to pay with cash. There was also no sign for this. This is completely absurd. The only reason they do this is because they are trying to save money when people use the credit card machines (which in retrospect, is only less than 50 cents for the whole transaction). Then I was blatantly YELLED AT by the owner and treated as if I was incompetent. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The Seville Diner will be one place I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND and I will make sure that none of my friend or family are subject to this kind of behavior.
We were a group of 10 and got our own little section of seating. Was a little disappointed how they made the one waitress literally do everything herself and no one helped her to make sure the service was prompt given that the rest of the diner was nearly empty and we still had to wait on things. Everyone enjoyed the basic breakfast foods otherwise.
Great service. Good food, good value
Not bad. Owner is kind of abrupt, not the warmest welcome Ive had. Menu is limited. Good omelets. Dinners just okay. Nice wait staff.
Amazing food, amazing service. The manager George was simply the most hospitable host on this holiday weekend, we enjoyed the most delicious turkey soup and pasticcio (sp?) All baking is done on premises and we enjoyed some of those too!!Fresh and delicious, Ill be back for sure!!!
Had the pastrami Reuben it was great. Big portions and great service as well. A great Jersey diner that has been around a while.
The most diner-y diner in Central Jersey. Food is way above the bar as far as diners go. Huge selection. Waitresses call you honey. Cant lose. I love this place!
This place was always an excellent value. Decent food at reasonable prices, in a clean place
I really do like this Seville diner. Every time Ive gone there the food has always been good and the service has been great!
Great dinner choices, soups are always freshly made (we take them for lunch the next day!!) And baked goods done on site are out of this world, great to bring as a hostess gift even!!!
Love this diner! Friendly waitstaff and they have awesome curly fries 🍟
A typical NJ diner... God, I miss them all. Almost nothing close to them in AZ, except the 5 & Diner chain.
Excellent service. Great food. Waitress was awesome.
Dirty carpets make a less than fresh smelling environment. Small plate of spaghetti and meatballs $15 ! Two adults and two teens ordered just entrees which were small and 2 sodas the others water and the bill came to $86!!!!! No left overs to take home for that price
Nice place good food
