We are building a new home on Otter Lake. Lyman Lumber made numerous deliveries and pick ups. The driver was courteous, professional and skilled. I watched as he maneuvered a large number of composite boards around a dumpster & onto the truck. It was so impressive that I actually taped it. I believe the drivers name was Matt. He was great.

I usually dont review places, especially not in a negative manner because I understand stuff happens. People are people, and there are mistakes. However, in this case... I was driving down highway 53, in the left lane with a Lyman Lumber truck in the right. I could literally SEE the rocks, bouncing off of the truck bed onto the highway. The van in front of me and I had to come to a complete stop in order to avoid these river rock sized stones. (A serious accident could have occurred here)- and when we got moving again, another large rock came from the truck bed, onto the road, and bounced up onto my windshield. SHATTERING my window. If it would have hopped up any higher, it would have gone thru my windshield completely. (my windshield technicians words, not mine) I tried to send a polite email to the customer service link on their website, asking about a policy to ensure a clean truck bed, or a walk thru before they hit the road. My email was returned as non-deliverable. I called, and spoke with a gal that ensured me she would talk to management, go look at the trucks, and get back to me. I provided her with the license plate, the time and place, and the direction of travel- thinking that would be enough to do her homework. It has been two weeks, and I still have not heard from the Lyman team. Like I said, I understand things happen, and I honestly wasnt upset. But now, the more time that passes, the more annoyed I get. I am out a windshield, a state park pass, and an unlimited car wash pass because of this. If you dont care, dont care. Just dont tell me you are going to do something (call me back) and dont. I used to hear that Lyman was a highly recommended place amongst my home building business owner friends. But now, it seems the opposite. I cannot agree more about the one star reviews regarding customer service. Be careful who you do business with. Especially when they say one thing, and do another.

Theyve always been very helpful for building supplies. And also for that random things you need for your house such as a door handle or a door seal. Or a secret trap door that goes to your hidden wizard Kingdom.

Had to come out a second time to confirm an incorrect countertop measurement and still had the wrong measurement again. Hard to get in contact with, left messages with no reply.Had went in prior to pick out countertops and was sent “to the back” with no help, no one to check on on, no one to answer questions.

Terrible customer service, won’t return calls, told us our order was ready when it wasn’t.

If you want a business that you walk into and feel you are inconveniencing the staff - this is the store for you!!They smile and tell you they will have a quote to you in the morning, but it never arrives.Two trips in.. No one offered help. When you finally track someone down who is not hiding behind a closed door they rush you off.Would not recommend for home improvements. If you are building a house MAYBE you would be spending enough money to DESERVE their time.

Just driving down the highway and the one the trucks had some cardboard angles loosely laid on the bed, probably from insulation or lumber. Well the pieces flew off and nearly severly damaged my husbands vehicle. Luckily it hit our front bumper and went under the vehicle but if it had popped our tire we wouldve been in serious trouble.Any service that cant be bothered to maintain their truck, load, supplies or tools doesnt deserve my business in the first place.

If you want to be treated like an utter annoyance, feel free to do business with Lyman Lumber, I was denied a material list for no good reason (didn’t want to put the work in to make a material list, is what he said), they must not be able to compete with prices from other companies and prefer to take advantage of uninformed customers. Their pricing specialist would hardly return a phone call, took three weeks to get a quote, and was very unhelpful. Steer far and clear from this company for your home building process, they certainly make things way more stressful then need be.On a positive note, their drafting department was a pleasure to work with, when they wouldn’t return a call I called the drafting side and they tried their best to help.

Wow! Ill never buy here again! Thinking of purchasing a Special order? Plan on having to call them to see if its in. Plan of them placed the order but item(s) are mysterious will now take a lot longer. In general if you have time to waste,no deadline and money to burn with no service rendered than shop here. The customer service lovely. They blame the customer not receiving the call that product came in..because we know in this day and age phone calls dont get through and voicemail hasnt been invented,yet. Horrible service. Cant say about actual product due to not having ever recieved anything for money spent.

Nice selection of home products. Carries quality Windows and doors. Went to find a window replacement.

I stopped by Lyman Lumber last week to purchase some stone for a front of a building there were people walking all over the place but not one said hi can I help you nothing stop by there today thinking they were just that busy so I stop by today May 17th spent another half hour inside the store people all over the place not one said hi can I help you nothing its pretty sad I prefer to buy from a company like that and not Menards but at least Menards says hi thats two trips in 2 weeks never shopped here before thought I would give it a try Im telling you folks dont waste your time
