I have had very positive experiences here. Great people in all the departments, really nice inventory, and their service dept. is solid which offers very clean $60 setups.The techs definitely know what theyre doing and my new Les Paul (that I also bought from this Sam Ash) plays much better once they gave it the first setup since purchasing. They did the same for my other two and I am very happy with my choice.Their used wall at the back is worth a visit too as they had some pretty nice stuff hanging up a few times that I visited.

Limited Stock.... and zero help. I helped myself. No guidance as I walked around aimlessly!! Once stocked to the gills.... store is empty. No new Drum kits at all !!!! Sad.

Definitely a wonderful music store. I have been here several times in the last three years and never did I come out disappointed or frustrated. Bought several instruments for my family. People here are considerate and they let you try the instruments such as drums, guitars, pianos etc. They are honest people too and they give you good advice. For them its not just about selling and making money. There is another reason I have huge respect for this store. They buy used stuff too and they are reasonable with the price they offer. I strongly recommend.

After many years of not going to this store. I ended up here looking for heads and the vibe seems different. More positive and the staff seems more eager to help. Store is better stocked than most guitar centers near me. I will make the extra effort to come here more often.

This place is phenomenal. The customer service is spot on. I was at another music store trying to find some cymbals for my drum kit and they didn’t really have what I was looking for. My dad mentioned this one store that wasn’t that far called Sam Ash, so we drove there instead and it was all worth it. We walked in and I gotta say this store is way better than the last one. It was a huge place with each different instrument in its own department. Drums, guitars, keyboard, etc. I had a great experience with John. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding good cymbals for a good price and even recommended some cymbal stands as well. Would totally come to this store again and I would recommend it to anyone else looking for anything for their drum kit or any instrument.

Bought an amp that was apparently a damaged floor model. The order was immediately canceled and I was issued a refund. That’s great! However, the fact it was a floor model was not mentioned anywhere on the website. Had I seen it, I wouldn’t have ordered it. Great customer service, but inventory transparency needs to be worked on.

Sam Ash is a great place to shop. Ive been buying from them forever. I bought my Les Paul from one of the locations on Long Island years ago and it was a good experience. Now I shop the Edison NJ location. Everyone there is awesome to work with. Manager Luis and Rich and Mike in guitars are super helpful. I was in need of a bass and decided on a Fender Squier Classic Vibe P-Bass. Being new to bass, Rich spent a lot of time in answering my questions that spanned a few visits. Sam Ash has the quality of being a large place that feels small and local. If theres an issue, theyll make it right. And Im loving my new bass.

They even have some prized instruments played by veteran top notch musicians n artists. I found Pt.Ravi Shankar s Indian classical music instrument in the store. The store is a happening place. A must for all the music lovers. Ample parking is available n the staff is very much accommodating n very helpful n full of knowledge. Amazing place.

Bought an electric guitar for $800, they gave me the one that was on display. Iam a complete newbie so i didnt know much. Come to figure out later the strings are in awful condition, guitar is scratched all around and the volume knob came off 2 days after purchase. The person that sold it to me just wanted me out the door.

2 years ago, i bought my first guitar at Sam Ash, and returned to check out a new model. The staff were friendly and let me sit and play a few models as long as i wanted. They were knowledgeable and helpful in helping with my purchase. And even when i returned the guitar a few days later because the sound just wasnt right for me, they were extremely nice and understanding. I had a great guitar sound conversation with the tech as he processed the return. Good selection, great service.

It was a new electric guitar buying experience for me and my 8yr old son, his first guitar.Rich answered all my questions, provided me with quality, honest answers and we compared prices which helped greatly. Also, he even set everything up to see how the guitar sounds, went through all the functions and features in using an amp and tuning the guitar. A real pleasure. Then, when I wanted to purchase a mic, they spent a lot of time giving me suggestions about recording tips and even wrote down some youtube channels to watch for recording tips. I bought a Martin guitar from Sam Ash online. I got it home and after playing it for a while I realized that something was wrong with the neck, the strings were a bit buzzy after some play and you could not fret anything higher than the12th fret with out a dead note on the high e and b strings.I brought it back to Sam Ash and Rich looked at it, tried to fix it, and when he realized it was not something that could be fixed he replaced it, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. It was the easiest process in the world. While not Sam Ashs fault I got a hinkey guitar, they called around, found one in another state, and got me a new one at no charge to me. I picked it up at the store six days later and it was perfect. Sam Ash took what would be a real problem 99% of the time somewhere else and made it easy. GO THERE. They care about their customers.

I recently brought my Ibanez RGD71alms in for a set up and issue with the pick up. It plays like a dream now. Definitely will be back.

Acoustic guitar setup. Turnaround was estimated at two to three weeks, and no call when the job was completed (de-merit), but the job was done. Store associates are very professional and polite.

I feel lucky to live close to the Sam Ash in Edison, NJ. Their used guitar section is hit or miss, but when it’s a hit, WOW! I bought and traded a bunch of guitars there and, while trade-ins are expectedly not the best, you get some great deals, if you get lucky. The dude’s there are chill and always give me my space to demo stuff.

This a very cool place if you are a musician. I went there recently looking for an acoustic, electric guitar for my daughter. We sat in the acoustic room and tested just about everything they had! After ordering online from Sam Ash and an item being backordered I wound up calling local stores which lead me to this store. I spoke to Mark from pro audio who went above and beyond. Not only did he find the item from another store but took care of all the extra work that needed to be done as far as cancelling Amber refunding and reprocessing my order. I highly recommend not only this store but the gentleman Mark who was prob the best store employee Ive ever dealt with.
