This review pertains only to “order online and pick up at local store” orders.I ordered 6 books. Five were delivered to the store, but were in much worse condition than advertised. I asked for a refund. The manager said he had never done a refund and he had to make two phone calls to give me a refund.The store had no record of the 6th book I ordered. They didn’t have the order, didn’t have the book and knew nothing about it. The manager told me to call customer service. I asked why he couldn’t call them for me. He told me, “That’s between you and customer service. It has nothing to do with us.”When I got home, I called customer service. The problem was that the book was at a store in Dallas – 300 miles from me! They gave me a refund, but kept the sales tax. Since it’s only a few cents, I won’t argue about it.The store employees were courteous and were doing their best to be helpful. However, their whole business model needs some serious work.

The people that work here are so friendly and helpful! The store is always clean and neat. If they dont have what you are looking for they will help you find it. This is my favorite place in Edmond!

I love this store. This location always has amazing customer service and a great selection of books. I have found that this particular location has the best selection for contemporary fiction and childrens books. Its also a great place to find educational material and textbooks.

Just a heads up for anyone sneaking out of your mask to take a sip of coffee...I did and was promptly confronted by an employee eager to call me out in front of other customers. I noticed others throughout the store shopping with their masks not completely covering their faces.... I guess being an elderly and frail old guy like myself was an easy target. I probably won’t feel comfortable coming back.

Great store and where I go first to buy a book. Their selection is pretty good but can be limited based on availability of books. If they don’t have the book you are looking for than they can ordered it for you if another location has the book.They also carry videos, gifts, comic books, and all types of reference books.

Half priced books always has treasures to unearth. Its my favorite place to get lost and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly to a fault. This illustrated copy of the Hobbit is one of the many beautiful items that can be found. Go now, and get lost in the rows and rows of adventures waiting to happen.

A great bookstore that sells used books at a cheap price. They are always getting different books so if you dont see a book you want one week, try the next week and they will probably have it.

Employees are always friendly and enjoyable to speak with. The prices are good and its worth selling your old books if you are going to buy new ones.

Came in to find some books i wanted but they didnt have them, so i asked a worker if he could see if there were some at another store. Worker seemed annoyed and inconvenienced by this already. All they had available to ship were hardbacks so I thanked him and said i would look somehwere else because i prefer paperbacks. Lets out a huge sigh as soon as i say that. Just wish he hadnt seemed so annoyed by me asking. 3 stars because the few other times ive been in here the workers were very nice when i was checking out or had questions.

Great prices on used books in great condition. Their buy back cash is very low but right now they give you a coupon when you sell them books which is awesome. They have a huge selection and everything I was looking for.

Really over priced.. I won’t be back. I will would highly recommend Archives Books Inc. just down the road and way more reasonable prices. They often have deals as well. Won’t be back here.

Nice store?, and nice employees. They have a lot of books to choose from. Covering most all genres, from fantasy, religious, romance, history, and lots more. Also covers all age ranges, from infant, teen, and to oldest age group. They also have a wide range of movies, music, and games. Along with some novelty items. You just have to go and check it out in person.

If you have used books you no longer need then take them here and find something new to read with the credit you get from selling your books. This store has books of all kinds so check it out.

Great prices and selection!

Half Price Books has a great selection and very friendly employees. Their selection changes regularly, so I visit every couple of weeks. They have a clearance area in the back right corner of the store, where you can find some interesting deals.

Good selection of childrens books that my sons were looking for. The staff was friendly and helpful. We caught some really good deals with coupons that the staff showed us. Walked out with five books for the kids for only $11.

This is a great place to find unique books. There is no guarantee of what they will have but the things they do are at a great price. Friendly staff and a clean easy to navigate store.

I love this place, they have movies, games, items for gifts! Its typically cheaper than Amazon from my comparisons, I know thats important for people, but hard for businesses to compete with. I enjoy snagging used books here particularly if I feel like looking at it hands on would help solidify my decision as opposed to just ordering one I havent seen online. And I just enjoy perusing the shelves and seeing what catches my eye. I love that they have an educator discount!

Great selection and great prices, new and used

I love it hear, so does the grand baby. My only problem is the prices they want to buy your books for and the serious mark up they get for said books. But it is a great place to get new books for half price.

If you like to read, you should drop by this store... you will likely find something of interest. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the prices cant be beaten! If you need a programming book teaching the latest version of python or javascript, etc. you would be better off going to Barnes and Noble but other than that, ALWAYS try shopping here first.

Fun place! Pretty much the last place around for physical media any more. Especially if you’re looking to sell. The make it very easy to do buybacks. I also like looking at their used game inventory for board games.

I dont read books, but the books here are pretty cheap. Mostly no more than $15. A lot at $7 and under also. Decent variety of books. Friendly staff.They also sell other stuff like video games. I dont think anyone buys them though.

The staff here are wonderful, knowledgeable about books and other types of media and clearly care about the customer. They even spent some time helping me find my lost wallet. Book selection was quite nice for a used book store and prices were fair. I cant wait to go there again

Awesome place to go for second hand books and music/video games etc.. great trade deals and great staff to help you out if you are looking for something specific or just in general.

Be sure to ask the staff when they are doing their next sale. They do regularly scheduled additional 50% off and other great sales. Also additional 10% odd coupons are not usually difficult to come by.

Quiet location. I was greeted walking through the door- courteous customers and inside was spotless. They have a wide variety of books divided by sections. Their cookbooks are a great selection. The kids section is fun. They have a big selction of books, activities and toys.

Half Priced Books is clean and orderly. They have a wonderful selection of new and used books and a great gift selection. Its hard when you can get used books online cheaper however if youre in a hurry or want to look over the item first, its great to be able to do so here.

Always willing to spend an hour browsing the racks, hoping to find something unique or interesting that Ive never heard of. Its easy to do at a place like this and have found several books I never knew existed if it hadnt been for Half Price Books. I doubt I need to tell you that the prices are better here. And Im going to say if you have any difficulty buying gifts for that picky someone, this place makes it easier to find something unique in a subject.

One of my favorite places in the world. They have such a fun environment full of books, games, trinkets, maps, and posters. Their workers are very knowledgeable and happy to help. Sometimes I go here just to relax. They also have a really cool antique section where you can search for some valuable classics. Seriously cant say enough about how much I love this store

They had a great set up. Love that I could go in there and take my time walking the whole place without anyone bothering me, great selection on all books. I like that they had craft kits at the front for kids and adult ones too! They had historical books, magazines, art. Very easy to find what you are looking for, everything was nice and meat and Im order. I spent over 1 hour in there, and the kids had fun seeing all the books they had for there ages! Good friendly enrollees too!

The books here are usually brand new! They have lots of standardized testing books for cheap so it really comes in handy! Also they’re dog friendly :)

I was recently in search of an older version cover of a book that has been out of print for quite some time. After checking with the location nearest me, the staff went above and beyond to reach out to other locations to find the exact book I was looking for. It was exceptionally well priced and the service at both locations more than exceeded standard customer service expectations. We have been able to find brand new releases as well as hard to find items at Half Price Books for years now. They are a wonderful addition to the community and I am very happy to have them.

God, I adore books and I really miss reading them, but as a college student its a little hard, you know? But this place certainly makes me want to get back into it. Its second hand, so of course the books youre getting arent going to be perfect, but theyre still in good condition overall and hey! Its cheap!The atmosphere is also very friendly and enjoyable, and I find myself visiting this place more and more when I get the money.All in all, lovely place!

One of my favorite bookstores. Good selection and helpful staff. The kids area has some good books, and some of the newer kids books from authors like Dav Pilkey get pulled up to the front of the store. Good selection usually of US history, and is organized fairly well. Unfortunately, the clearance section is not as well organized as it used to, but I guess thats part of the adventure of a used bookstores clearance section...

Fun place to look around and get used books on the cheap. I enjoy taking my son there to pick books out. He is at that age where he is starting to read, and there is plenty to choose from. As for me, I was impressed with their selection of topics to choose from.

I alternate between my kindle, the library, and half-price books. HPB is great! I can always find some good books at a discount and the staff members are helpful. I have resold books there and purchased cards and toys (Doug and Melissa) for my granddaughter. Nothing bad to say.

I love this bookstore. We always have at least one person greet us or ask if they can help us find something. The store and shelves seem orderly and maintained. They have a mix of new and used books as well as other random items. As long as they dont turn into Hastings, more junk than books, well keep shopping here.

After church on Sundays, my family and I enjoy our trips to Half Price Books. We can always find great new books at good prices or fun crafty projects to complete on rainy days. They have a great collection of books, games, records, dvds, and even toys for the little ones. They even give discount cards to educators! They are all around great store- we love getting all our Christmas shopping done here :)

Granted It’s a nice place to buy books, but don’t ever expect to get half of what you paid for should you ever want to sell them back a month later. You might get a dollar for the $7.99 you spent on one of their books if you’re lucky.

I have sold numerous books here, mainly in bulk, and each offer has ranged from fair to pitiful. (10 huge boxes filled with good condition books for $50 to 20 huge boxes with good condition books for $15.) Yesterday, however, is the reason why I will not return and am writing this review. I brought in 10 very rare books, first editions and published in 1922. The woman working took 20 minutes to give me an offer, which was 25 cents. Steer clear of this place, folks, if you want to sell anything you know is rare.

Saw a lot of good souvenirs and gifts there! I didnt go there for that though. I went there because I had books to sell. I brought in a lot of my textbooks and storybooks. I didnt get much but, I understood that they have their margins as well. It was great to get a small coupon for selling your books there though. Would go there again 10/10 times.

Huge selection of books! Endless genres to choose from. My daughter and I absolutely love going through the childrens section! You can find anything for children of all ages, from infant and toddler board books to teen novels. They also have an extensive selection of movies, cds, coloring books, and creative/unique gifts! We could spend hours here just browsing!

I absolutely love this place!!! Theyre books are clean & not run down. Ive purchased a dvd or two as well. Mostly books. They provide discounts for educators. Even with being a discount store, they have a clearance section!!! So its pretty much a clearance on sale items! I appreciate the organization of this location too. The location is easy to find and the employees were friendly. I had five boxes of books to sell so I was in the store for about two hours. My suggestion would be to bring in fewer items to sell at one time.
