He always does high quality work and is very accommodating. As a heavy line dealership auto mechanic, I am usually tired during the week and dont feel like wrenching on my own stuff until the weekend.I did the classic pinch your tube during install on a tuesday night, got flustered and brought my tires in on weds sept 30th to have him install a tube in the tire i biffed, as well as install my rear tire and tube. A couple days later he called me just after 5pm, ready for pick up! Yet again, a clean and up to spec tire install with good balancing. Doesnt leave hand marks or lube on your rims and doesnt scratch them either. Its my dual sport dirt bike so Im not too terribly concerned about scratches.....but this isnt the first time Ive had Road and track do my wheels - not once have they been scratched or done improperly. And ive never even had to bring it up!Folks, ive looked at other bikes thatd been serviced that same day - theres lots of youngsters getting their first motorcycles at my shop and I look them over to keep them safe. You wouldnt believe the scary stuff ive seen other bike shops do. Chains left with over 3 inches of slack ON ROAD SPORT BIKES. Forks loose. Hand levers not even bolted down.....yikes!!!!Road and track does nothing but top tier trustworthy work and I highly suggest everyone - from guthrie down to bethany - leave your bike here for a bit to get your work done. The prices are fair, and more importantly the work is always TOP QUALITY and SAFE. thank you road and track!!!
My buddy and I are on a motorcycle adventure around the U.S for several months and when we stopped in Edmond to visit some family we visited this shop. We needed a few parts for our Honda Africa Twins and they helped us out so much. Fair prices, good parts, quickly ordered. If we lived here we would definitely set this place as our main maintenance shop. Owner was highly experienced and willing to lend out some tools that we did not have with us on the road. Highly highly recommend this place to take care of all your motorcycle needs. Thanks again for getting my buddy and Is adventure bikes back on the road!
Got a new chain, great communication, local Dirtbike repair, takes a little time, to get it back but not as long as some of the others experienced.Back break wasn’t wore down at all, prior to getting it fixed, it doesn’t even work anymore.I just hadn’t rode the bike in a long time everything seems to be great!
Been fixing my stuff for over 20 years now. The owner John is as solid as they come good God fearing man and loves to help people. Ill never go anywhere else. Trust me when I say this. John has the old school ownership vibe. Treats everyone like family. Thank you for running such a solid store
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This guy had my bike for over a month and still didnt ever get it fixed or looked at.. after not hearing anything for 2 weeks I called to see what was going on with it. His first excuse was he was really busy and would get to it first thing Monday morning. Still didnt hear anything so i called on Thursday. His excuse now was he had a bike on the lift and was going to finish changing tires on it and mine would be next. Didnt hear anything so I called Monday. He said the battery was bad and he was going to need to replace it. I said go for it. Still hadnt heard anything from him so on Thursday I called again and he precedes to get very rude and unprofessional on the phone saying I am waiting HIS time by calling and asking about the bike that he would call me.. I informed him the only person whos time.is being waisted is my time because he has gotten nowhere with my bike and its a different story everytime. He then proceeded to tell me he was just going to wheel it out the back door and to come and get it.
John was great to work with. Fair prices and very honest and helpful with the work and knowledge he has. Definitely recommend checking his shop out for your bike needs. Got the work faster than anticipated. Thanks!
I went to this shop on 10/17/2020 to see what kind of gloves they had. Me and my friend walked in and noticed they didn’t have the style I wanted and we left. While we were outside getting geared up to leave one of the employees walks out and tells us if we are not going to buy anything then we need to leave immediately. We explained to him we walked in and they didn’t have what we needed and that we are leaving but still didn’t want us in the parking lot for some reason. Don’t know if this was because of the motorcycle we were riding or cause we were Hispanic but I never felt so disrespected before in my life. We are new to okc and was just looking for new shops to check out and this is was so far the worst one
Great customer service! Best place to get a off and on road toys repaired.
Smart mechanical knowledge. Very polite good selection of aftermarket accessories. Mounts nee tires quickley.
Ive been riding for a year now but still have much to learn. Ive stopped by several motorcycle shops where I encounter a dismissive attitude or a level of customer service equal to my experience. Not so with Road and Track. John was helpful and friendly on my first visit as I looked for a small accessory for my bike. He spent time with me going over all the different options, ordered the part I needed, called me as soon as it arrived, and charged a very reasonable price. Hes earned a repeat customer and a excellent review.
This a a great place to get the parts you need regardless of make and model! I had a great experience and will drive from Choctaw to this shop without hesitation. Better yet... Ill ride!
Road and track is a great place to take your bike in for pretty much anything. Its pretty convenient in Edmond, so I dont have to drive to the city. Ive taken my bike in 3 times for various things and the mechanic is very honest and hasnt overcharged me for anything. They also carry some gear, though it is limited
John, is truly a master mechanic. After 3 weeks at Harley Davidson off Broadway, I was told I needed to buy a new carburetor for my 1996 Sportster 1200 Custom. A friend recommended I try here first, and boy am I glad I did. After a couple weeks, John got my bike back up and running good as new. Hes very knowledgeable and fair on price. What more could you want, highly highly recommend!
I have used John at Road and Track since I moved to Edmond Oklahoma in 2012, and continued to do so once I moved near the Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. He is the only one I trust to have worked on my various Vespas, my current being the Vespa GTS 300 i.e. Super. Regular maintenance, all of my tires, wiring, lighting, and major overhauls have all been handled here. at one point he was servicing many of Edmonds PD motorcyles, and I thought If they trust him to do the work, I know he is good and reliable. Thanks John, and Road and Track. I really need good and reliable as well as knowledgeable out of a repar shop.
This place is the worst experience I’ve had at a business in 50 years of life. Asked for oil change, tune up and tire change. They didn’t get any of it done in nine months. They started several projects on my bike with out asking or even telling me. Never finished any of them after 9 months. Yelled at me when I called to check on it over and over. My bike has never been the same after they destroyed it. STAY AWAY!!!!
John was really cool. He was able to work with me and give me an approximate quote before he did the work. I decided not to complete the work at that time as it was more than I could afford. He didnt charge me to look at the bike either.I am going back after I save some money and have the work done from them again.
This place has gone downhill. The last time we took our brand new dirt bike in he never re-installed all the bolts he removed for its first oil change. I didn’t discover this until my son rode it and bent the pegs back because there were no bolts to hold it in. He tightened the chain but it was rubbing on the back tire. The place is a mess and very unorganized. We won’t be back.
Customer service means a lot to me. Ill never go anywhere else. One time, I forgot to bring my helmet to pick up after getting new tires, so without knowing me, he loaned me his helmet to get home. For a busy guy, he still finds time to give me advice on the maintenance I do myself. No BS. Great shop.
I took my bike in to have a couple of tires Id purchased mounted at their shop. The work was speedy and my bike was done quickly. Some suggestions were made for work that needed to be done on my bike but it was all work I knew needed to be done, not random extra stuff shops usually try to pawn off on a girl taking a vehicle in for service and the quote to have it done was half of the cost I was expecting. The speedometer cable clip had also snapped off of my bike while mounting the tires (Im sure due to being left out multiple years in the weather), and instead of making me pay for it, they paid to replace it for me. I was really impressed and Ill be taking my bike back there for work in the future. I preferred it to other places Id been locally.
John was awesome topnotch service and reasonable to go with it.....
Oldest bike shop in Edmond. Locally owned and the same owner for 30 years give or take. Great service, timely and well performed. I take my BMW there and dont ever get disappointed.
The owner is incredibly knowledgeable. He has a unique combination of problem solving skills and a heart for service.
Johns a character and great mechanic. Worked on my Harley so its not just dirt bikes. Highly recommended.
Awesome guy very helpful works hard to make sure youre satisfied
John does good work and provides quick turn around for tire changes. He has a lot of loyal customers. I have taken my bikes to Road & Track since 1998.
John is a great guy. Always willing to spend time and talk about motorcycles. He knows what hes doing, I will always ask him first.
Brought my bike in for carb work in February. Was told it would take about 10 days. Called after 14 days and was told he was waiting on the parts to get shipped to him. Fine, that happens. I have called multiple times since and have not gotten an answer and Ive tried going by the shop and he is not there. Awful awful place. Do not do business with this man.
John did a great job listening to my needs and did a great job delivering!
I walked in to this repair shop, with intentions to pick up some parts for my brothers dirt bike with a friend, we are both female, which shouldnt matter but seemed to right off the bat. We were rudely greeted, which i can hardly call What are you even here for? a greeting. I proceeded to tell the man, John, that i was here to pick up parts and told him the name it was under. He scrambled through some papers and told me he couldnt find anything of the sort and gave off the attitude of too bad so sad. He treated us very rudely and i will never set foot in there again. We ended up ordering parts from another repair shop off waterloo, who was much friendlier.
Best deal on parts and AAA+++ service.
After I had my rear tire replaced, I experienced a flat because they did not replace the air valve. I called a toll truck to take me home. They apologized for the inconvenience and they replaced tire with a good one.
John really is down to earth and leaves no stone unturned to help your motorcycle/ scooter fixed; best two wheeler repair shop in Edmond
Owner is a very friendly, wise and informative person. Great atmosphere
Great shop - The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable!
A very helpful and knowledgeable guy. Have becone a repeat customer
John absolutely understands suspension and going fast. Great value for the money.
My first and only encounter with this shop and bike maintenance was when I ordered tires through them and had them put the tires on my shadow, well all went well the price wasnt a steal or anything but they were the closest place.Memorial day I decide to take the bike out to the lake well I pull into a gas station fill her up and then begin to leave well the bike fishtails all over the place at roughly 2mph and I am confused as hell and now stuck in the middle of traffic at an intersection, long story short I get it into a parking lot and look at the back and to my horror the bolt that holds on the entire rear tire and brake was about half way slid out, where the nut is I will never know, this is still within only 50miles of driving on the new tires, so next day get a hold of them and they say O that is weird, we test drive all our bikes, yadadada(They dont I work half a mile down from them and have yet to see anyone who is employed there riding those bikes back and forth, save a few that are riding their own bikes) Well they pick up the bike and tell me that they have to wait for the nut from honda, but then at the last minute they find one that fits, and stick it on there claiming there is a locking mechanism in it.....I guess they believed me to be retarded, regardless there is no pin in this new nut, so now I have to watch it and tighten down.THEY ARE WORTHLESS BE WARY WHEN HAVING THEM WORK ON YOUR BIKEI am lucky the bolt came out at 2mph and not 80mph otherwise I wouldnt be able to write this and they would be in court for a very long time.
Great service!! Lots of knowledge about bikes
Friend took bike to be worked on. Month went by with no word. I went with him to shop sense i know alot about bike etc. John told us he had been working on it and had test drove it 3 times already and that he had changed out some of the internal carburetor parts etc etc etc.Carb had never been touched was still filthy on the outside and anyone who has ever messed with a carb knows the first thing you do is clean the outside prior to opening it up!!!! Plus no smudge marks etc from being handled just built up dirt etc.Plus you cant start or test ride a bike with a battery terminal bolt gone which is how it was brought to him and was still the same way. John lied straight to our faces and the only thing done to his bike was a damaged saddle bag from being in this shop!!!!FINE SOME WHERE ELSE TO GO IF YOU WANT YOUR BIKE TREATED RIGHT!!!Thank you for reading and have a blessed day.
John, the owner of Road and Track has worked on my 1983 KZ1100 Kawaski twice in about a 10 year stretch. The work is EXCELLENT and you wont get ripped off on unnecessary repairs and parts. I know this because Ive expressed adding this and that to my 30 year old motorcycle and John has stopped me to weigh out the pros and cons of putting money into a bike that is this old.Im 56 years old and can tell you from experience there are alot of repair shops that try to maximize the repair ticket to their advantage. Not at Road and Track. John has so much business, there is not need to create extra work. When checking them out, ask for John. Tell him this review came from Brad E. a Life long Edmond OK resident. I expect it will get you 5 star treatment.
Best shop Ive had the pleasure of working with.
Great service, best prices around. Always takes good care of my motorcycle.
John is awesome and takes care of you
John has worked on my bikes for years anf bailed me out with lots of fixes.
