Had to have windshield replaced. New cars have windshields integrated into all of the driver alert systems, so it’s not a simple (or inexpensive) swap.James G., my service agent did a great job and kept me appraised throughout the process. Enjoyable experience for a needed repair.

I always dread going to a dealership and looking around without something specific in mind. Its a crapshoot when it comes to which sales person you get. So I always schedule an appointment with a specific person to look at a specific car on the lot.When we arrived, Miguel had the car (used, just off a 3 year lease with 17K mileage) ready and we nearly immediately got in for a test drive. He was great at answering questions and being a nice and attentive human being. His style and non-pressure demeanor put us at ease and led us to actually purchasing the car. We didnt feel pressured, gave him our best offer, and he came back from the sales manager (a seemingly necessary intermediary step), with a price that was within our range. However, it included extras (extended warranty, security system, credit insurance, etc) that added another 20% to the price of the car. We politely declined all of the extras and without pressuring us, he brought back a revised offer...which we accepted.There were a few minor issues we discovered when we got the car home, but Miguel went out of his way to get them taken care of the next day.Really happy with the car and the experience. Weve had Hondas since 1985, putting over 700,000 miles on 6 different cars. And were pleased to be part of the Honda of El Cajon family..

I started coming to Honda of El Cajon Superstore in 2018.James was the first service advisor I worked with when I came brought my 2013 Honda Accord in. He was and is amazing! My Honda Accord Catalytic converter needed to be replaced and James was able to find that it was under warranty which saved me so much money! He was able to get me a new cat and installed the next day. James, thank you for all you do!Then in 2021, my check engine light came on again... this time I had the pleasure to work with Greg. After the car inspection he was able to find that my cat had a crack in it, after some research he found that my cat was still under warranty and explained the ins and outs of what was happening with my car. Honda team was able to locate and install and new cat for me that same week even with this cat shortage we are experiencing. I also got awesome tips of what to do in Lake Tahoe and some groovy songs from Greg. I completely trust this Honda team to steer me in the right direction on what repairs are needed. My check engine light has been off since. Thank you!!!

This new vehicle that we purchased is in addition to our current Honda 2017 CR-V from Honda of El Cajon that was sold to us by Ted A as well!Like a baseball team starting with Aeischa the Opener, then to Steve in Sales, the hand-off to Matt the Closer in helping to seal the deal, Christian in Finance and James in Service who was servicing our 2017 as well on Saturday. Like a well oiled baseball team, these folks all worked together and were seamless from start to finish honestly!Professional, courteous, helpful, understanding, and just great friendly individuals to work with! Honda of El Cajon was very accommodating. Although I have NO credit history, (which is worse than having bad), they searched and searched until, magically, they found a financial institution that would float my loan. What bank? I dont remember, bank of Hogwarts or something. In any event, I drove of the lot in a pretty slick little 2015 Civic. Every other dealer wanted me to either find a cosigner, or put down half the list price. Thank you Jeremy and Christian at Honda of El Cajon!

Made an appointment and delivered car at appointed time.on a Saturday.Advisor Quincey checked me in and kept me apprised of the service. I had a couple of concerns that were addressed and taken care of at the service. I waited in the dealerships spacious waiting area where Quincey found me to advise me when my service was complete. WORSE SERVICE EVER!!!DO NOT GO TO NATIONAL CITY HONDA DEALER. ONLY GO TO EL CAJON HONDA DEALER.I went without an appointment for an oil change and brake repair on 08/14/21 right before 10 am. Sean took my vehicle and sent me a text at 10:05 am to communicate updates.I requested an update by text at 11:46 am; NO REPLY. Then I sent another request at 1:52 pm; NO REPLY. I called Sean instead and he told me I dont know, let me check then Ill call you.He lost me at that moment; 4 hours and he had no clue of my vehicles care. He called me back at 2:05 pm to say only oil change and air filters were done, they needed to inspect the brakes. They were about to start, after 4 hours! That was not acceptable especially because he said 3 - 4 hours when he took my vehicle and I shared with him that it was my sons birthday and he had the opportunity to say we wont be able to do it today let me make a future appointment or call me/ reply to my text sent at 11:46 am to communicate that they wouldnt be able to finish my request and allow me to pick up my vehicle.I had to call Sean at 2:27 pm to request my vehicle. The worst is that when I arrived he did not attempt to apologize or make an appointment to complete the service; instead, he blamed me for going without an appointment, wiping his hands by saying he had no control over the workers liability and tried to say they were short staff.From the 1st moment I communicated my vehicles needs, he assumed responsibility to take care of me.• He should know the staff that is available to take the right amount of work for the day; instead of blaming coworkers for low productivity.• He should take ownership of his mistake, apologize and work on the solution to help me; instead of giving me excuses and sending me home with the unrepaired vehicle and no follow-up appointment.HAPPY ENDINGI called Honda El Cajon the same day of the incident. Quiency B. Added my vehicle to their already full schedule for Monday. The vehicle needed other details; James G.took care of the repair that ended close to 2k. *** National City Honda dealer lost a customer for life and a good service sale.*** Me and my family will only go to Honda of El Cajon.***

Today I bought a 2019 Honda Accord from Honda of El Cajon. I was originally going to get it from Honda Lemon Grove but they gave me the worst deal and treated me horribly. Honda of El Cajon was much better than mossy Honda of lemon grove. They gave me the best deal and they worked with me on getting me the car I wanted for a price that I could afford. The general manger, Ibrahim and the Internet sales manager Miguel were the best. They made sure I was comfortable and they assured me that I would be taken care of. The process was easy and not rushed. I’m super thankful I came here!

Will update if things dont go good in the future.Update: Robert in finance was great to work with and so far good experience with service department. These people are cheats. Tried charging 3k for a recalled part. Another Honda dealership fixed the recall problem free. That location needs a good looking into by corporate and the Better Business Bureau. If you are reading this and have been lied to and cheated, call corporate and let them know.

Didnt include an updated car registration sticker on a used car, charged me for the registration and told me I had to go to the DMV and pay for a new one. Also, beware of well include a car alarm which you realize while youre in finance that its an extra $1,000. Then they explained how having the alarm helps them in some weird way, but if course the customer pays for it. Lame.

We went to the three Honda dealership to feel out thier service departments and HoEC was hands down the best.I have had BMWs until my recent Honda Accord purchase and the service at BMW was always the best, until I brought my car to Jose Ortiz at Honda of El Cajon.His experience and expertise was amazing and he really went out of his way to explain the minor service our car required and the anticipated future maintenance. We have been looking around for a Honda CRV for a while now. Weve been to different Honda Dealerships including the one in El Cajon (Honda of El Cajon). Luis Cervantes, the Sales Agent, at Honda of El Cajon, assisted us. He was friendly and professional. He treated us like his family members. He patiently presented to us the different features of the vehicle we liked and provided us their conveniences. He was so nice to answer any question we had in mind. He never pressured us in purchasing a car. Rather, he gave us the commitment that he will be available anytime to assist in making this major purchase and along with that is his commitment of trust and honesty. We liked what he said that if/when we buy from Honda of El Cajon, we are not just buying a car - we are also buying him (which means that the relationship doesnt just end there - its long term commitment of assistance, rapport, and even friendship will always be there). We appreciated Luis patience and demeanor, especially his passion about being able to help prospective car buyers (putting aside any personal benefit from sale). Called the service on 3-19-21. Requesting a quote for windshield replacement and back k window replacement on my 2014 odyssey. Customer service rep said Ill get a call back with a quote by the end of the day. Never got back to me. This is 3-20-21. I called in again to see about the quote and as Im writing this review I have been on hold for a customer service rep. After been hung up on 3 times and on hold for more than 30min altogether. Horrible customer service. Theyre not even polite enough to let you know that they are too busy and ask if you can call later.. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

In person the people are amazing! So incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Jose helped me this last time and he answered every dumb question I had and made sure Lyft was able to pick me up from work to return to my car. Cannot say enough great things about his customer service.However, I had a huge issue getting an appointment. I first went on their website and was using there little robot helper, scheduled an appointment through it and was told I would receive a confirmation call/text/ or email. Never got anything. I then went through my email and found a email from a customer representative Ashley, that emails me every 3ish months telling me my car is due for things and asks if I would like to set up an appointment through her. So once again I try and set up an appointment through email.... and once again don’t hear anything from her for 4 day. I finally call the number she left in her email, she wasn’t available, so I ended up speaking with James who was super helpful and got me an appointment right away.PS all I wanted was an oil change, it was nothing crazy.

Very bad customer service, specifically for recall service they treat you differently because the service is very, believe me you feel it and they have a very bad aggressive sales people that just want to sell and they even dont know basics of customer service I recommend managers to be honest with them selfs and may ask them self a question why am I realizing but they dont? Am I having a personal issue, for sure I dont care who they are but I as customer deserve to be heard and that could hopefully bring more satisfying experiences to other folks which I hope they never go through with I have experienced visiting this Honda.I would say its a failure for managers not the front line because I felt how they are stressed and demotivated.

Late post, but my friend and I had the best experience at the El Cajon Honda Dealership. Jeremy, his manager and Khalil were the best ! We came in with a difficult situation and they handled it with ease. The day before New Year’s Eve and we came in around 7:40pm . We kept them in until 11pm . And they still kept their smiles, jokes and attitude Amazing. They helped us answered our 100plus questions. Took care of us and set our anxieties with ease. Walked in to get a oil change and tire rotation, saw there was a ton of cars and the wait time was 2 hours, so left for a bit to get some food. When I came back, one of the Honda people there Mark said he was going to make my service complimentary. Also the oil change was done pretty quickly, and waiting room was classy with good wifi. I went to the dealership looking to upgrade my three year lease after two years. (I didnt even know this was possible) I was greeted and assisted by Sales professional Christian Madrid. Christian made the appointment with me in advance, so that when I came in he had already prepared the two cars I was interested in looking at. Christian was patient with me as I asked 100 questions, and drove each car around my route of choice. Christian is a professional, and made sure to show me all the features in the vehicle so I could make the most informed decision. I decided on the 2019 Civic Lx, and am more than over joyed with this purchase!! Christian had the car detailed for me prior to purchase, as well as preset all my features to my choosing. I was assisted at the desk by sales manager Abe. Abe was excellent at making sure I got all my questions answered as well, and was able to give me a fantastic deal! Robert was the gentleman that assisted me in finance. Roberts explanation of my contract was presented as a reflection of the patience I had already received from all other staff. He made sure I understood all the terms, and was signing documents I was fully informed on. I received a call just a day later from staff member Dawn who made sure to follow up ensuring I was fully satisfied with my purchase, and received the best service. What an extra treat! I am so happy I made the decision to utilize Honda of El Cajon for all needs regarding my vehicle. Had a recall on my airbag they got that fixed ASAP then Greg went above and beyond to order a sensor for a seatbelt that I didn’t know was faulty. Been here before and had a good experience but Greg made it great. Will definitely be bringing my Civic here again.

Today my girl and I were contemplating leasing or buying a new vehicle. Ibrahim really took care of us. I had to do the deal because my girl was taking care of patients at work and couldn’t get out of work. Being Presidents’ Day I volunteered to go start the process and then finalize the deal when all numbers were worked out.On Saturday we had only a few minutes to go look at the incredible inventory that Honda of El Cajon had to offer. Jeremy showed us the car and was very professional and knowledgeable of the products he was showing us.Today when I went Jeremy wasn’t in yet, so, I worked with Brian. Brian is a good guy who makes it easy to talk with. Brian went with me to show my girl the crv all the way to Chula Vista and she loved it, except the fact that it wasnt an EX.Ibrahim was working some numbers out and honestly we were undecided on which vehicle to buy. The choice was a 2021 crv LX, which my girl really wanted to get but we had some restrictions because we are trying to buy a home and have to make sure we were within budget and within our DTI.One of the other choices and actually mine was a 2020 Accord EX with only 50 miles on it. However, my girl wanted the Accord Sport payment. Ibrahim really bent over backwards for us and we worked out a deal that made it a win win for everyone. I appreciate the time he took and made me feel very important and I know that we got a GREAT deal!If I could give more than five stars I would. The finance department was also really stellar and Robert was not pushy and was very informative on the products they had to offer. I had submitted an inquiry into buying a vehicle online and was called almost immediately by Ernie a sales manager there. I set an appointment and arrived almost 30 minutes late but Ernie was still able to help me out. I went in with little hope of getting my car financed as my credit isnt the best, but after they ran the credit check I was surprised to find out I had qualified for a 2017 Honda civic with only 24,000 miles on it. They worked with me on the down payment and made a few accommodations that had allowed me to drive home in a certified pre-owned car that was close to new. They stayed there with me ironing things out after their normal hours and I left a very happy customer. The service was great and I would recommend anybody looking for a car to check here first. Thanks Ernie and thank you Honda.

They lied and made me sign an illegal contract after I had signed one already. Did my research of the California vehicle sales laws and luckily have an aunt of mine that is a lawyer and she found that a lot of the things they did with me were unqualified contracts but of course they lie to you. I traded my vehicle in as well and it had a loan on it and my financial institution that financed my trades in vehicle has yet to receive any payoff or payment and it’s been over a month since I traded it in. They never answer calls and they always hang up on you went to another Honda dealer just to talk with them and let them know my situation and the finance manager agreed with my aunt. Overall I will never recommend any one to them, they are liars and will do things behind your back without telling you or at least keep you up to date on what’s going on

Called the dealership because i never received anything in the mail regarding my lease return, the man i spoke to told me i could just bring my vehicle in, sign a few documents & I would be in & out within 10 minutes. I bring the car in later that day & I am greeted by a sales man and the second he found out what i came in for his attitude changed and was completely rude. I told him that i spoke to someone in finance and he proceeded to say that that person didn’t have any idea what they’re talking about. He Was even arguing with the girl at the front desk over a pen. By the time we were done it took about 10 minutes so seems like the person i spoke to was correct after all. It was a very bad experience and he needs some training on having manners and respect for the people around him.

Used text and emails with Jeff Bakken, Internet Sales Manager, to confirm they had the Ridgeline truck I was looking for. Set an appointment for this last Saturday and he had the truck waiting for my wife and I to arrive and take for a test ride. Our contact and negotiation with the Sales Manager Matt was productive and we were able to lease our new truck. Each individual involved in this process was friendly and professional. I had an amazing experience shopping for my brand new CR V. A HUGE thanks to Steve Le (salesperson) and Zack (finance). Both are friendly, knowledgeable, professional, treated us like family. All my questions were answered. I told Steve what I wanted and needed, he explained everything, every step of the way. He really took the time to explain the vehicle to me like he’s teaching his family ^^. He was fair, kind and honest, I felt like that offered a fair and competitive deal.
