I am very disappointed with the treatment that I have recieved at this store location from Deanne, the supervisor. The first time I walked in there she discriminated me for my appearance or race and treated me as an unvalued individual. Once she saw I was approved to buy, she got excited like she couldnt believe it and yelling to the other employee that I got approved. She saw me as a sale and treated me better. I proceeded to buy an engagement ring because it was very important and I tried to let it go.I have recently spent thousands of dollars here on two purchases. Today, I went in to make a third purchase and Robbie was a great help, until Deanne ruined everything and I left.She tried to take over the sale from Robbie and told him to be quiet. She tried to show me a pamphlet when I wanted to see the jewelry size in person. Robbie told me about a promotion coming up and she stated that theyre not doing that promotion. I told her that I was comfortable being helped by Robbie and she disregarded me and continue to get involved.She humiliated me by saying the peice I was trying to buy was too small and that the bigger one was better and it was $4,000 upfront. Everyone in the store could hear her because she made sure to be loud. Deanne will repeatedly disrespect and degrade customers and coworkers. I do not feel comfortable going back. If you are not welcomed from the start, thats a red flag.

Too easy to spend money here! We walked in to look while killing time and walked out with pearls! Ladies very helpful. We had to have necklace modified and shop said weeks which seemed long to me. Overall very pleased

Recently bought wedding rings from Lay Jewelers, and had a great time. Went in looking for one ring, and ended up with three. Financing and payment options were fitting to us, and the staff explained every option to help us get our dream rings while staying within our payment zone. All staff members were caring and helpful. It was a pleasure shopping with them, and I will do business with them again!

I have made several purchases at the Parkway Plaza Kay Jewelers and have had great experiences on each occasion. We have met with experienced male and female sales people and have always come away happy. Two of the sales persons were Elizabeth and Rhonda and both very pleasant to deal with. For the person who had a bad experience in Mission Valley, try El Cajon Parkway Plaza.

This has grown into one of the worst stores I encountered. We have been going here since 2004 picking up numerous jewelry pieces and even getting 3 custom made pieces done here. The last few years it has gone down the drain. It took 4 months to get my ring resized. They completely messed up my custom made ring BY THEM and it took over 6 months to get back correct. (No repairs were asked, we had to send our ring out every 6 months for inspection to keep up the warranty). I will never, ever buy another piece of jewelry from here again. Keep track of all of your paperwork because a lot of the time the computers are down and the warranty info does not come up.

My husband and I bought my wedding ring here about 6 months ago. I went in the other day to have it serviced.. The lady asked me for all kinds of information and at the end my social. She went back onto her computer.. And I thought for a second why did she need my social? CREDIT CARD. She was signing me up for a credit card without my permission, without even asking me if I wanted it! I asked her why do you need my social.. Is this to get my ring serviced? She replied no Im signing you up for a credit card with us. I told her no I dont want it, she got up with attitude and told me she shredded my information. Then she asked another lady to help me with the servicing paperwork. I stood there waiting for about 10 minutes, furious.. And they still hadnt helped me! I grabbed my ring off the counter and walked out. Rude service and absolutely NOT OKAY to go behind my back and mess with my credit. I will not return.

I have to share my recent experience so that others won’t go through the same frustrating experience. I walked into that Kay Jewelers store in April and bought two rings. I was told about their no interest payment plan. I believed I was under that plan until I saw my statement and noticed I was being charged a high interest. I went back to the store to discuss the “miscommunication” and the store manager told me she “took care of it” while also trying to sell me more product. Well I checked my account again and noticed I’m still being charged interest. I called the bank and had to figure things out on my own because the store manager did not take care of it. The financing has been incredibly frustrating. I would never make another purchase from this store out of concern that I’m not getting what i was told. So.... I encourage you all to triple check everything before agreeing to anything or just avoid this store to save yourself time, money and a frustrating time.

Do not! Do not! Spend your time, money or energy here. The staff is rude and poorly trained about their products. Not to mention that the selection is lacking. The sales personnel will be blatantly rude. If you ask to speak with a manager, they will not remedy the issue.I purchased a necklace here and it broke, twice within the first 5 months of having it. I took it in to be repaired and it broke again the very next day. The staff handled the issue horribly.I took the necklace to another Kay location where they were able to repair the necklace but failed to call me when it was complete. I waited 2 weeks for the return of my necklace.Not only was the experience in the store terrible, but Kay Jewelers has changed their financial services and has failed to inform their customers of that. Payments have been lost in the transfer, management cannot answer any questions about payments either.Stay away from Kay Jewelers at this location specifically and be wary of opening an account with Kay. Theyre undergoing financial service changes and handling it terribly.

Buyer beware. I am a long time customer (over 10 years) and I have never had any issues. I just got an engagement ring and went online to make my payment like I always have in the past. Only this time it didnt work. When I bought the ring the rep forced me to update my account, only she didnt update it, she made a new one with a new company called comenity. Apparently they no longer have their in house credit like before. When I followed the steps, I had to register again because now I had a new account I didnt know about. Then was able to make a payments again I new had over $100 in late fees and even though they were able to see I kept trying to log in, they offered no help to make things right. This will be my last purchase from Kay. A little advice for better customer service and to avoid situations like this one; If you are going to hire a third party company to represent your for anything, make sure you have a strong communication with them and you are all on the same page. Poor communication like this will destroy any company.

Really fet like the staff didn’t care that I was waiting for 29 minutes for service. All I wanted was to pick up a ring that was ready for pick up. No hey we will be right with you. It was obvious they were both making a high sale and the other guy waiting and I were not important. Couldn’t even look me in the eye.They can keep my ring I will never come back.I work in customer service myself and just worked a 12 hr day and to not be treated the way I should have been is so frustrating and wrong. What a waste of my time.

Ive been with Kays for 35 years and always loved them UNTIL NOW - at PARKWAY PLAZA. SIX weeks later and they still have my 16 year old wedding set in their possession because they plated it without my permission and still have not corrected it. Every manager says the same thing Were sorry. That is it. I have asked for a written explanation and they still dont have it. Were sorry. I have spoken with customer care twice and no help there, but they were great listeners. My next step it a written letter demanding new rings and then thirty days later when they dont respond Ill be off to file a small claims law suit. Now accepting prayers that it doesnt get that far.

I am very pleased with the service I recieved at Kay Jewelers. Diane and Lorena were instrumental in helping me customize an engagement ring for my fiancèe. They worked with me whenever I needed them and did an amazing job making the ring exactly how I imagine it. I would reccomend them to anyone who is looking for any type of jewelry. This place is terrible I wouldnt recommend them at all, they took my wedding ring for a month to swap it out for a different size and ended up just giving me back the same exact ring after wasting hours of my time. Also they called my wife to tell us that our rings were ready for pickup after I explicitly told them to call me so I could surprise her. Then the rings werent even there when we went to pick them up the next day. They have no idea what they are doing and dont care about their customers.

I have to agree with other reviewers on here, dont EVER EVER EVER bring your jewelry back to get it serviced here!! They do horrible work, steal gold and make complete changes to your jewelry you didnt ask for. Not too mention take a much longer time than nessesary to ship it out to their repair crew and back. Majorly changed my wedding set, I cried alot.
