Review №1

Earlier this year, the Company I fly pipeline patrol for, bought a 68 Cessna 172 to put on patrol. The airplane had been completely refurbished 20 years ago, with Narco MK12D+ TSO radios installed. The airplane was in great shape, but the radios were experiencing both Com and Nav issues.Initially, I found EL Paso Aero on eBay. I was thinking about just exchanging our units for radios with 8130s, but decided to call them. I spoke with Bill, and he said to send them in as they would evaluate the units and let me know if the repair was less than a replacement. The short story is that both radios were repaired rather than exchanged, saving us a reasonable sum of money. The long story is that with all the ADSB working going on right now to meet the deadline, no other shop would talk to me because of their scheduled work. The shops that I spoke with here in Texas recommended I contact El Paso Aero. Having just looked at their repaired units on eBay, I made the call.I sent El Paso Aero the #2 unit first as it was not working at all. A week later, the #1 Com failed. The tower let me depart the controlled airport via my cell phone, and I finished my patrol at our contract maintenance base. I called El Paso Aero to check on the first unit sent in and explained to the lady that answered my predicament. Patty told me that she had just received the unit for return and arranged overnight shipping. The second unit was repaired and sent back but had a Nav issue so was returned. In a week, it was back, but one of the two problems persisted. El Paso Aero sent me a complete Nav/Com and indicator to see if the problem was in the aircraft wiring, which it was.Through all the communication, I must have talked to everyone that works there. Not once did I experience any frustration with my calls.Even with the work being finished up with an aircraft wiring problem that affects the #1 Nav indicator, Bill offered to repair the problem if the aircraft was brought out for its next annual. We are so happy with the repairs; we think the 5 hours of flight time would be worth the trip!

Had three excellent experiences with critical last-minute crisis-repair requirements on our light singles various airframe systems - DC Power Generation, Fuel System, and Brakes - all separately within a few calendar days (ugh).Dick, Bill, Tony, Jason, Brandon and the rest of the El Paso Aero team really stepped up to provide exemplary last minute support enabling us to complete missions that we would have otherwise missed, had we not been given the opportunity to be serviced by this group of professionals.Their delivery of last-minute after-hours AOG support, including off-site at other airfields, in addition to providing services at their home field, has been an experience that reinforces they are indeed consummate professionals. I wholeheartedly endorse El Paso Aero, Inc. Avionics Associates, for consideration. We consider ourselves lucky to have been their customer.Thank you. Have a good day.-Tod WulffDirector, Government ServicesCFM
