This place is a convenient place to shop when you want to grab and go vs Meijer, Wal-Mart, etc. Workers are always courteous with smiles on their faces. Store is remodeled and looks great!

They have alot of nice stuff but the lady at the register was far from friendly!!

Edit 2021They finally did a minor remodel of this store. Got some new coolers and re-arranged aisles. Much better than before. At least now you dont feel like its 1986 when you walk in. Register area a lot better as well.This place is nice for the convenience factor, if you happen to be in the area, and the prices are good for a lot of regular items, but those are the only positives.This store will go a week without stocking basic items like Pop on the shelves, the aisles are constantly blocked and cluttered with items. You constantly have to wait in line, as a lot of the time when you go there during the day, the employees are off stocking shelves or something and not watching the registers. Arent they worried about people walking out the door?

This is an area with a few useful businesses around. The family Dollar staff are friendly and you find everything in this place. Also, there is a Income tax, money transfer, and public notary place across the street call Alianza Hispana.

I gave it 4 starts just because it was very crowded. That place is small but they do have a lot of items and friendly staff.

I know the store manager and 1st key they are great workers Lety and lareina but they dont really have much support by the team. Moody, dont want to be there, or just does not like dealing with customers overall store is good but besides managment employees lack customer service.

The store is an utter mess. Ilses blocked with boxes needing to be stalked on shelves. Only 1 checkout worker, the other employee stated she wasnt on the clock anymore and could not open 2nd register. Line was over 10 customers deep. Very disappointed

Jean (or gene i dont know how its spelt nor do I care)one of the managers didnt even give me a chance. He knew that I walked there and was ready to send me out the door for that reason alone. I applied for manager and he told me well if I dont get back to you in 2 days that means you didnt get the job Then he asked me if I would take a cashier position. When I said I would he then said why?, you just said you wanted take he manager position then you say youll take a cashier position do you know what you want? I was appalled. Dont apply here. Especially if your struggling and need to walk to work. If I live close enough to get there in time it shouldnt matter if I have a car of not. Obviously you need to work and get miney before you can get a car. But people that are ignorant like jean dont see it that way. If you want to go to a interview where you will get riticuled and talked down to go to the family Dollar on 611 dundee ave. Jean will surely love to talk down to you. Its a small rink ink dollar store that everyone passes up to go to the real family Dollar by butera at clock tower plaza. So dont even waste you time.
