Excellent customer service. Always have the parts or piece of equipment that I need. Have been to Russo equipment a few times the last time on a Saturday morning we stood at the counter for at least 15 minutes as two employees chatted it up. It wasnt until the manager came out from the back that they even acknowledged us. Was going to buy a couple hundred dollars of stuff. But the guy behind the counter refused to take my chain saw chain and count the links so I could purchase 5 new ones. I put my items back and went to Ralph Helms and ended up spending quite a bit more for they had everything I needed a were more than eager to help and answer questions. Ralph Helm will be getting all my business from now on. Good people.

The best shopping experience Ive had in a long time. Ralph came out and took time to explain all of our options, his focus was to get us into the right product that met all of or needs and nothing more/less.

I had left gas in my snow blower for 10+ months which cause the fuel line and carburetor to gel. I didnt have the tools available to do the job myself. I found Ralph Helm Inc. through an Internet search. From my initial call to delivery of my fixed snow blower was less one day! They picked up the snow blow, repaired and returned it incredibly fast. Super friendly people. One of the best experiences I have had with equipment repair.

Bought a zero turn lawn mower from Home Depot Algonquin store 👎🏼 and they delivered it a day late without a manual or a key. 🤦🏻‍♀️I drove to the store to get and no explanation or apology was given. I get it home turn it on and it won’t move! I tried YouTube videos and nothing helped. I finally googled Cub Cadet customer service and Ralph Helm came up so I called. I spoke to Ralph and he walked me through it and I’m now off to mow the lawn. I will use Ralph Helm for any future repairs or questions about this machine!Thank you sooo much again!!

I have spent a lot money over the years . I have bought all my power equipment from them. The other day I bought a electric stihl chainsaw l had a five dollar coupon . They charged me a five dollar fee for professional set up they didnt put oil in it or even put the battery in it to see if it worked .just a way to 0 out coupon . Called Russo equipment just down the street they told me set up is courtesy to the customer free of charge . I guess me and my sons will be doing are business elsewere.

Wanted to share my recent experience with Ralph Helm. We had a pick up scheduled for a lawn mower service. Unfortunately we forgot as we were dealing with an emergency with our new born grandson. We were able to reschedule and a few weeks later we received a nice card regarding our grandson. How very thoughtful. Thank you. The lawn mower service was completed and lawn mower dropped off. Did a great job fixing up my Subaru generator. Replacing the carb took a long time, but they were mostly up front about the timeline on parts. Longer than expected, but cheaper than expected.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.Ralph Helm stands behind their service. I had Ralph Helm perform a spring tune up on my lawn mower in 2019. The first couple of uses I had trouble starting the mower in the cool spring weather. I called and spoke to the service department and they suggested I attempt to adjust the throttle cable.After adjusting I got through the summer mowing season. This fall when the day time temp was 50° - 60° my mower would not start on numerous attempts. I contacted the service department once again and they picked up my mower and did a repair and adjustment of the carburetor at no charge. The problem was corrected and I was able to use my mower in 40° temps.Its nice to know that some companies stand behind their work.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Attempted to go into the store today to look at mowers and other yard equipment, and was kicked out for not having a mask. When I informed the worker I had a medical condition that did not allow me to wear the mask, he ignorantly informed me That doesnt change the law.2 things for you and your store:1) there is no law, it is the Gov Executive order. Which at best is a suggestion; as there is no legal/legitimate backing to his order which would make it an enforceable law.2) in the Gov Executive order it clearly states people with medical conditions that effect their ability to wear masks are exempt.Maybe you should educate your employees a little better so they do not infringe on everyones civil liberties.

Went in for advice and purchase a part I’m planning on buying a new snowblower just happened to find a used one for free. Came in asking about used one I found asking for advice about smoking. The worker was helpful but guy I assume to be owner was stuffing his face with pizza and didn’t want to be bothered helping the worker answer questions to help me out. I looked at their blowers on the way out and won’t give this Ralph guy any of my business. Learn how to offer great customer service Ralph and maybe don’t stuff your face while your working at the counter. I probably wouldn’t of cared if you were helpful.

And when my husband and I arrived to see the model I chose to surprise him, there was a Happy Birthday sign on it! What a wonderful touch!!! This business defines excellence. I needed a clutch cable for my single stage snow blower. My first experience using their business has been a joy. They didnt have it in stock but got it for me quickly and just made every thing very easy.

So far so good but Im not sure because I just dropped off the item. What I liked is that they asked me if Ibwant it fixed automatically uf the repair is under x dollars otherwise they will call me, I liked that.

These guys are the biggest rip-offs ever, I needed a drive shaft shear pin, you take 4 screws off a plate replace the shear pin (hardware store charges $2.00 for the pin) replace the pin put the cover back on done!! They charged me $100.00 !!!! I’ll never go there again and I let everybody I know what kind of rip-off people they are. I really miss the Houltz guys in elburn they were awesome - they would actually try to help you over the phone and if that didn’t work their fees were very responsible.

Simply the best. These guys know their stuff. From homeowner to professional equipment, no one knows it better than Ralph Helm. Personally I go to the one in Elgin, but I have to believe they are just as expert in their other stores. And, if youre not sure about what you need they are happy to take the time and work with you to figure out what works best for your unique situation or needs.

Took a 3 year old Honda mower that wouldnt start and they checked to see if it was under warranty. It was not. They called Honda and got them to cover the repair anyways. Great service, great people. Thanks for exceeding my expectations and hope you enjoyed the donuts!

Definitely recommend Ralphs! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a lot to choose from. Cub Cadet, Bobcat, Stihl, Echo and toro are some of the favorites.

Bought a mower here and prior to completing the sale I noticed that the deck had a large piece of paint missing. Salesman told me he would switch it out. Upon delivery, I saw that it had not been switched. No call, no heads up. They spray painted it and thought that was ok. I asked for a free end of year service and was offered $100 towards that and they said the deck is going to rust no matter what. I have been a customer and referred my friends there, but that has come to an end. They will lose quite a bit of business over $100 (in service), can’t recommend them anymore.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The salesman spent a half hour explaining the differences between the lawnmowers they carried and helped me find the perfect one for me. I highly recommend this place and would gladly go back for and outdoor power equipment I might need.

My 2016 Cub XT2 was making a strange noise out of the rear end after just a few weeks of ownership. I talked with the service staff and they had me ride the same model tractor there at the dealership...no noise. They advised me to wait until spring for the free pick up service, and not to worry since the warranty would cover me regardless. Though I thought that was a strange response, I went with it since they had guided me on other issues with other equipment in the past. Well, they did pick it about a month ago and could not duplicate the problem. I even came to ride the tractor, positive they were just missing it..the noise was there constantly last summer and fall. Well, to my surprise, no more noises. They conveyed a theory and asked me to call them if the problem returns during the mowing season. They brought the tractor back to my house, no charge for the whole event! I made a smart choice in selecting a full service dealer instead of one of the big-box guys, and Ill keep making that same decisions in the future!Thanks a lot Ralph Helm
