Cute little coffee shop. Im sure the bakery selection is better in the morning but delicious coffee great homemade blend there like the banana foster latte with their homemade syrup.

Super disappointing drinks. The coffee drinks (of which Ive had at least 6 different flavors) taste weakly of coffee and monin syrup, nothing more special than a Starbucks drink. The taro tastes like a mixture of vanilla milk and bubblegum, literally the worst Ive ever had, and you can clearly see the mix of red and blue pigments trying to make it purple like actual taro. The redeeming quality is the baked goods. The cookies are giant and tasty.

Would you just look at it?! If the eye candy isn’t enough for you, you should also know that it weighs in at 1/2 lb and is undoubtedly the best tasting cookie in town...no matter the flavor you decide upon. Oh, and the coffee is superior to anything you’re making at home. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed ;)

SweetEasy..what can I say except Thank you for opening up your wonderful shop in our town. Coffee is amazing, baked goods out of this world & dont even get me started about the sweetest, kind people that works there...I love walking in there & smelling the coffee ...its like youve walked into your home away from home..If youve never been there, treat yourself! Itll be worth the trip😍

Nice, small, local coffee shop. Menu has nice selections, and they work with Recycled Reader to include a variety of books for purchase.

They did my daughters Sweet 16 birthday cake they initially said it would feed 10 to 12 people that was a lie the day of I found out there was a mix up on the order the cake size I ordered wasnt made so they replaced that with cupcakes and only 8 and they werent good nobody touched them sorry but not sorry no I will not use them again

I absolutely LOVE this coffee shop! The desserts are all delicious and the coffee is the best you will find in Elizabeth City! The Doll Face is my favorite. The customer service has always been fantastic in my experience. You really cant beat the atmosphere either. It is always super clean, even by my high standards. 😉 If I could give you guys ten stars, I would!

Clean, relaxed atmosphere. Great variety of drinks and the food is delicious. Another local bakery bailed on making my 4 year olds birthday cake two days before his birthday. Casey, stepped in and made him the cake he wanted. Needed sweet treats for a local event, their cupcakes are amazing and perfect. Needed to take out of town family to a nice spot for a cup of coffee, the Sweet Easy was amazing! I’ve taken home the ground coffee they roast too! Great local spot!

We absolutely LOVE The SweetEasy! The staff and owners are incredibly friendly, always going out of their way to help. Their sweets are amazing, the drinks are great (created personally by one of the owners himself), and you cant ask for better service. The atmosphere is gorgeous and cozy, great place for a morning coffee and a comfy spot to read a book, catch up on work, or just sit and relax. A welcome addition to the downtown Elizabeth City area!

The BEST coffee in town, honestly!Delicious coffee and made from scratch treats! Everything is consistent in taste with each visit. Very reasonable prices. Quick service. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. I love supporting locally owned and operated small businesses. I will definitely continue to go to The Sweet Easy for my coffee.

Wonderful Coast Guard family owned business! Casey makes amazing desserts and they serve delicious coffee. The decor of the shop is well thought out and executed. I would highly recommend them. They are definitely on the way to being an E City staple!

Definitely my favorite coffee place and sweets spot! They are constantly adding more so its always a pleasant surprise when I go in. They do an awesome job off keeping facebook and Instagram up to date along with responses on social media!

Coffee is some of the best Ive ever had. Baked goods are delicious. Staff treats you like family. Cozy vibes and a creative theme inside.Overall 11/10. Couldnt recommend more.

Sooooo.......I hope theres a Google team that reviews this thread of reviews. This incredible business with incredible products earned all 5 star reviews until yesterday when an employee was terminated for reasons unrelated to the products or services. Suddenly, all the friends of that employee are leaving 1 star reviews and writing horrific commentary!!! Pretty obvious that the latest reviews are skewed. Such shameful behavior on the part of the pack of nasty reviewers!!!! ...who, by the way, are doing this damage based on things they have no personal knowledge of!!!! Im certain that NONE of them have ever been within a block of the business theyre reviewing!!!! Though Im from New England, I was recently in Elizabeth City for a week and stayed at a nearby bed & breakfast. I stumbled upon this delightful, locally-owned business while taking a morning walk the first day. I returned every day and was treated like family almost immediately. I also enjoyed the burrito place next door! I hope the nasty reviews are removed or that folks consider the sources of these retaliatory posts!

Best coffee shop in the entire town. Amazing customer service and the friendliest atmosphere. Let’s not forget the amazing baked goods and the amazing coffee. Come check them out, you will not regret it!

The perfect spot to grab a coffee and a sweet treat! The decor makes me want to curl up on the couch with a classic novel and sip coffee all day long. Try the Old Sport and whatever the cookie of the week is, youll be dreaming about for days to come.

FYI recent negative reviews are based solely on alleged personal events regarding staff that have no bearing on the business. I’m still giving this a FIVE STAR review because the product is delicious, I’ve yet to have a single item I didn’t absolutely love. The customer service is the best and the owners are always pleasant and kind. The personal lives of individuals involved has nothing to do with the professional side of the business, service, and product.Again, I reiterate. The influx of negative reviews all in the same time period are complete and utter nonsense. Go in and decide for yourself. Don’t like it? Then don’t spend your money there. I promise, however, you WILL NOT be disappointed. And roaches?! 😂😂 Thats so far fetched knowing the owners as I do that I literally laughed out loud. I’m in there about twice a week. Probably one of the cleanest places in the city!

Best coffee and cupcakes ever!! I go out of my way for their tasty treats and unique brews. The Old Sport is by far my favorite on their amazing list and Ive tried them all!!! Highly recommend to anyone :)

The SweetEasy offers the perfect blend of excellent service, friendly owners, great coffee, and the finest baked goods. Each time I enter the door I am blown away by how I am greeted - it truly is like everybody knows your name. Not to mention the staff can explain each piece of art work that was finely curated to fit the theme and represent the owners history. With ties to both the South and New England, The SweetEasy is a true treasure. You can’t go wrong with anything, especially not the 1/2 lb cookies!

Didnt care much for the music playing. The coffee was okay, but I prefer another place.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, easy order and pick-up, convenient curb service. Needs to offer a Flat White Coffee and Cappuccino. The competition does, so we’ll go there. Hopefully, as they get rolling, they’ll consider those luscious additions to the menu.

The SweetEasy is a combination of amazingly friendly staff and owners, and outstanding coffee and baked goods. A welcoming and friendly staff is huge for me. My family has owned and operated a family business for over a century and that is truly one of the reasons people come back. Aside from the fact that their baked good and coffee is out of this world! I highly recommend the 1/2 pound cookie and banana bread. Favorite coffee, I’ve tried almost all of them—You can’t go wrong! I also love that you’re able to pre-order online and either have them run it out to your car, or walk in and grab it. Best coffee around!

Absolutely amazing service, blows any competion out if the water - with their friendly staff alone! The nicest staff downtown, hands down! Then add in the beyond yummy coffee, fraps, lemonade and every single baked good - 1/2 lb cookies, cupcakes, the very original cake jars, banana bread... i could go on for hours!

The cookies are CRAZY GOOD! Great coffee drinks too.
