Went to purchase items listed in advertisement. Samples in floor. Only able to get mattresses, no frames in stock. No sofas in stock. Went through looking at sectionals with chairs and all they had was a couple chairs. Not employees fault

Im so disappointed with Big Lots. I bought a air mattress with a 3 yr. warranty and it had a slow leak at the seams. They would not take it back because I did not have the box. I had my receipt it had only been a week. Big Lots manager said I had to go thru the warranty I bought for it. Well they could not help me either. Save your boxes and dont waste your your time with warranty. Remember you only have a limited time to return anything. I dont know why the store manager was so rude.

I work in retail so I know how aggravating it can be to deal with the public, but the manager was rude, the assistant manager was rude, one cashier was rude and belittled me, and the other cashier that I dealt with didnt know how to do a return even though shes been working there for a while now. It took three trips to do a simple return. I was calm and polite throughout the three day process of returning four simple items and I didnt deserve that kind of treatment. Ill be honest I will continue to go in occasionally to window shop, but I definitely will not buy anything high priced from them. I dont feel like I deserve any special treatment simply because I spend money there, but I do believe I deserve respect.

Awesome. Fruit bowl is perfect $13, blender $19.99 and egg cooker for 8 eggs $14.99.I like shape of blender - straight. This shape is much better than traditional. Need less power for Better blending. Cheaper and better than traditional blender.Fruit bowl has perfect size of space between wires. Tangerine will not fall from this bowl. It also made from good steel - heavy enough to hold bananas.

Big Lot in Elizabeth City N.C.27909 my wife and I ordered a couch from big lot waited 6 weeks got the call it was in. Picked up the got rid of the old set put the new couch together looked good.the very next day it started to sag, called big lot, they agreed to replace it, we went to the store to make arrangements to replace the defect furniture with a new one. We were told by the store manager that we would have to pay to order the replacement and when it came in, we could bring the defective one back and they would credit us, we already paid for the furniture and the extended warranty. The reason they ask you to pay up front is to satisfy the cash register to place the order. We will be taking the 400 plus they were asking for and putting it towards new furniture with better quality and better customer service, then within the 30 day return policy it is going back for a full refund of the purchase price and the extended warranty. I have heard from several other people who have purchased furniture only to have it break down very quickly. Very poor representation of Lane furniture...so disappointed.

Big lots has lots of things . They should add more of a clothing section. Also, I went in to buy a pantry I was looking at and they were sold out . Disappointing .

Good selection. Store a little dirty at times (went to buy oatmeal last year, but lifted and found little bugs inside). I do not buy food from here, but other stuff ok. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Its Big Lots. Its not a life changing experience. Its kind of clean sometimes. But, its a place to get a few things at a somewhat decent price, depending on what is purchased, as opposed to other places. The staff is usually friendly. Its the shoppers that make the experience somewhat...blah. But, thats pretty much anywhere you go these days. Sometimes you can find dog toys at a good price. Especially since they get destroyed so fast anyways.

Rude employees. Im pregnant and had to use the bathroom and they told me if I wasnt buying anything I had to get out and I explained that I was pregnant and had to go when I had to go and they told me to lay off the drugs. Very disrespectful. Will never go again or recommend to anyone.

Love this store, great prices, well stocked and organized and friendly staff!

I got a recliner and a really nice three piece coffie table and end tables for a great price. I received a big discount using my big lots card and on top of that got the military discount too. Easy to assemble, the tables are great and the recliner is easy to fall asleep in.

I can never find anyone on the sales floor that is available to help with stock questions or with price checks.Best to just order online and save yourself the frustration.

Everyone that I enter acted with was very courteous respectful and very helpful.

It was understaffed and the buy online & pick up at store was all wrong we got there & you have to park & go in show ID then they will bring it out.

Big lots is a nice place to get home decor for holiday decorating inside and outside. Have great frame pictures n painting reasonably priced. Very helpful associates.

Juat like any discount store, you need to shop it on a regular basis because the stock and pricing will change but you can always find great deals when you look. Our checkout person Hannah was very helpful as well.

I always like going to these Big Lot stores when I can. Lot of times I try to go into Big Lots before I go do my usual grocery shopping. You can get a lot of brand-name stuff here really really cheap usually anywhere from half to a quarter of the price cheaper if not 2/3 cheaper than you pay for it normally at the grocery store. Everything from Hardware to breakfast cereal and depending on which one you go into they have rugs and some small Furnishings lots of clearance books to choose from. Its Always a fun little shop to go into its like a giant indoor flea market sometimes. LOL lighting could be a little bit better maybe a little bit cleaner but they are moving large volumes of stuff for a very low price.If you found this review helpful, I would appreciate it thumbs up. You never know what you will find here. one week you might have lawn furniture on sale the next week it might be area rugs or potted plants or Christmas trees, you never know. Always at bargain prices. Dont expect the same inventory from week to week.

Typical Big Lots. They didnt have what we were hoping to find there but had several items we didnt know we wanted until we saw them. Came home happy.

Wanted to buy over 100.00 xmas tree. While in the store the manager on 10/20/2018 said they would look for it but never called back like promised so we called. Then we went back to buy another type of tree and thought we would ask if they happen to find the tree we wanted, however when the chasier called the manager via ear piece the mansger stated “ is she on the phone again”. I felt this was rude to say about a customer who is just looking to make a purchase. Managers of all employees should know what customer service and not be rude. Bad choice Big Lots screen who you hire better this one lacks people skills
