A much smaller hardware store than Lowes or Home Depot but for the most part you can find what you need and it doesnt get crowded. Prices reasonable. I continue to shop here.

Love our Ace hardware. They treat you like family

Called looking in for a specific part. Was put on hold for 5 minutes, came back and told they had multiple in stock. Arrive and went to section and couldnt find the part. Talked to the assistant manager who had the kid who helped me on the phone come over and show me where the part was. He couldnt find it and all he said was maybe I read it wrong. Waste of 30 minutes, manager couldnt even apologize. Just continued to make excuses for her employee.

I had to return a item and it was no problem. Very helpful great customer service well supplied store.

This is one of the better hardware stores Ive seen in a long time. We dealt with two staff members and both knew their stuff it was great. We went in for 2 pretty random items and the had them. I went with my uncle and it was pretty fun. Got a bottle of coke on the way out. It had a mom n pop store vibe and I miss as that.. stores like that are fading so we try and do our part and go-to them as much as possible, most are great and every now and then we get a bad experience but not at this ACE. I would 100% recommend stopping in.

I enjoy shopping Ace hardware stores. I have purchased paint and paint supplies. They also sell cards that are my Favorite and are created by leaning Tree birthdays, anniversaries, retirement, get well and blank cards to write your own sentiment.

I love these small hardware stores where they have all of the essentials that bigger stores dont even have. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Much much better than Home Depot or Lowes!

Typical Ace Hardware store. Great customer service and selection of home repair and other related items. Some basic garden supplies in the back. Plenty of patio and outdoor items in the front of the store. Full typical paint selection. Also has a big selection of automobile related supplies. Small parking lot, easy accessible from the gas station and or grant line road. Two registers in the front. Awesome staff. Recommended if you want to beat the HD crowds.

Ive never been to this ACE before but we were waiting on a tow truck and had time to kill so I walked over to look around.. I was really pleasantly surprised honestly! They had a crazy huge selection of all types of spray paints for probably any project you could ever do. I was there for about an hour and seriously couldnt get over how many options and choices there were of just about every item there! Great store,and now I get how theyve been able to stay open while so many other locations have closed down through the last few years :)

Good people very helpful

Went in for some length of chain today, had a rather unpleasant experience with an older man named Ed today. His attitude was very negative, he acted like I was inconveniencing him. I have never felt so disrespected this store. I will not be back here unless it is a dire emergency. There are too many local big box stores readily available. Get a life Ed, if you hate your job, then retire and let some one else who needs the work full your shoes.

They have anything youre looking for. There are employees to help you and very knowledgeable.

Quirky little store that always has a wider selection of everything (except lumber!) than youd expectA little shaky during the pandemic. Many staff members, and many many customers refuse to wear masks. Only negative in my book-- and a significant one. Will probably not shop there during cold weather months, unless behavior changes.

I like that Ace Hardware isnt as big as the other big box stores, and they tend to have some of the more Oddball things that you are looking for. One thing I really like is that they have those extra special pretzels called Dees pretzels. No other place in the area has them but Ace Hardware. Yeah you can order them from Amazon but sometimes you just want them right away and at least Ace Hardware has them.

Very friendly and helpful folks there. Great mom and pop atmosphere. They had what I needed and directed me to it. Saved me time and money. They even helped me to select the best item for my needs. Oh, did I mention their prices are good also.

Sheldon Ace Hardware is awesome.The staff are very helpful and friendly. I have always had a great experience. We live close by and it is very convenient to go to Ace. The prices are comparable to bigger stores that are much farther away. They have a very good plant selection during planting season and they take great care when replicating keys. Many of the staff are young local kids that are very courteous and helpful. The popcorn is nice, too. :)

Good selection of items. The owner assisted us. He was extremely nice and helpful. The key he was making for us wasnt working on the cutter but he made a couple extra until it worked. We will definitely go back.

Clerk understood what I needed, had the tools to help me with the job and I was out of there in minutes. At lowes I only got a guy from paint who knew little about nuts and bolts and sold me the wrong size of both. After i left Ace, i had to return the wrong hardware and wait in line for a refund at Lowes. Well done Ace!

Love this place. Sean was super helpful in pointing me to the correct isle for what I needed. I appreciate all of the small hardware for when I need that certain thread on a bolt.

Full stock of hdwe, paint, nuts and bolts, some electrical supplies, some plumbing supplies, some gardening supplies. A good all around hardware store. Staff is always friendly, usually knowledgeable about the inventory, and in the rare case that they dont know they will find someone who does. Much better than Home Depot!!!!

I know its a retail chain, but it feels more like a mom and pop. I started coming here because OSH closed, and I dont like those bigger stores. I prefer to buy firewood here because they have that birch wood that lights up with a single match even when its wet. The staff are so helpful, they always greet me right when I walk in the door and help me find what I need.

Since moving to the area a year ago, I have been to this hardware store numerous times. Mostly, to fill my propane tanks, but also to purchase miscellaneous items. My personal shopper, Adam, always helps me find what I need in the shortest amount of time. Very nice! Only not so pleasant experience, one day, I needed my propane tank filled, and nobody on staff was qualified. I left and had to return home with an empty tank, because none of the other places I went to (gas stations) had qualified staff on hand either. Not a good day. But otherwise, the location is perfect. No need to drive in to Elk Grove, if you need a nail or other household products in a hurry.

This little store has a lot of terrific stuff. We live in the country and it is much easier to take a trip to Sheldon Ace Hardware than to run to Lowes or Home Depot. In fact, we get much better service than the big stores give us. We always go here first and 95% of the time we find exactly what were looking for. Great store!

Ijust got off work and saw on Google that this place closes at 7 thought that great I will have time to get propane at 545 so I could have heat but when I got there they told me that the propane was closed and the hose was still clearly there and it was not closed... So now I have nothing to heat my house that night

PARKING SUCKS! FRIENDLY STAFF!!Thank God this place is here as there is nothing else in the area. I stop often when out on service calls. Very convienient. Like all Ace/Miners expect to pay a lot more but this location has friendly staff, very helpful and knowledgeable about their inventory. A lot packed into this little store but the parking is severely limited and miserable.

I came here with my girlfriend to buy soil for my tomato garden and ended up getting to eat in-house growing spinach from their Garden. The employees were pretty funny but I dont really get why they were joking around I mean come on its kind of unprofessional.

Went at 5pm only to find it closed even though both the website and Google maps had it open until 6pm on Sundays. This was not a holiday either. Please post correct times online or stay open until your posted time.

Worse Ace I have ever been to. The Manager or maybe owner couldn’t even handle a customer asking questions. I was just trying to figure out a project and thought Ace could help, and they did, just not this location. Will never be back

I came into the store to pay the balance of my account. Another was given service before me, who came after me. Then, I learned why. Your clerk could not work the computer! I have been a customer of the store longer than the ages of your two clerks, on duty, added together. These kids can do better. Oh...Tell them standing by the heater and not helping is not what old men want to see.
