This location is open while a lot of the others are closed. Very Friendly staff making checking out pleasant. They are short staffed but doing great considering. And props for being open!!

Very disappointed…the Elk River Dollar Tree was closed today even though the store listed hours and should have been open when I went there. I made a special trip for nothing.

Very very poor low quality management. I purchased 15.00 of cleaning products. Handed the staff 20.00 they made a face st me then said .dont you have anything smaller? The staff there is so unprofessional. They are blently rude to peoplr all the time. Never say thsnk uou to their customers. They act like its a burden to chech someone out. They say they cant find workers. I wonder why. So rude so disrectful. Who would wang to work for them. They seriously need a new store manager. This is unacceptable.

Great items at this location was looking for stuff for camping the only thing that I could not find was flashlights usually there is many in stock but the plus side of this one is they always have the c chargers in stock when the Monticello one never has them so thats a plus

The manager Beth there is incredibly rude. I couldn’t even believe she is the MANAGER with her social skills.The crazy part? I’ve never even had a personal encounter with her (I avoid being around her like the plague). I just see and hear and observe her behavior and choice of words with other employees and customers.Grow up Beth! Treat people kinder. A smile goes a long way. And I don’t even agree with the whole “customer is always right” thing. It’s just she is rude to every single person in that store. I cringe when I walk in and see that she’s working.

They were closed during normal store hours without an explanation. They also have a sign saying that they’re short-staffed and to be patient with the staff that bothers showing up to work. In short, this stores a mess

Only one person at one of many registers that could be moving people along that have other things to. Every time I go in that place I have to wait ten minutes in line. I think they need better management

Went here at 11:00am on a Sunday. They were supposed to be open at 9:00am… doors are locked.

Got great Christmas wrappings. Saw 3 employees stocking shelves with no masks. Told cashier we didnt appreciate that!!!

One of the best dollar stores in Elk River, Mn. You can really save a lot of money here nothing over a dollar.

Standing in line right now with at least 15 people in front of me. I went to find another employee working to help the one lady on register. Found 3 other workers back by the cooler. I asker ig they could help riby because of the huge line. 2 people followed me up there. They both threw there hands in the air and walked back. So now we are standing here for over 10 mins now... and still 7 people ahead of us. Sure seems like they care about their customers here... last time i come to this store. But hey... their cooler is sure stovked... too bad everything will melt before you leave the store.

Crazy busy for the holidays but they handled it well

On 12/18/19 I tried to return some Xmas things I bought a week and a half ago. When I bought them I asked if I could not find more of what I needed at another store if I could return these things and was told yes. Today I was told no refunds and that they put a sign on the door on Friday. Well I bought these before Friday so how would I know and the receipt didnt say no refunds on seasonal items! It was $7.00 worth of items. I was livid. I threw the bag at them and told them to keep the stuff and stormed out. I will never shop there again and will be calling corporate about this.

I normally love Dollar Tree, I’ve worked across from one for 10+ years I’ve gone there weekly! However for some reason the Elk River store has horrible inventory stock! I can tell you one thing as a store manager myself, empty shelves do not make money! I’ve never had an issue finding things at the BLAINE store, I’ve even have better luck in Princeton and many others in between but for some reason when I come to the Elk River store, I never find what I’m looking for, simple things like parchment paper, flexible cutting boards, etc., even the candy stock is horrible both regular and seasonal ! I’m not sure if it’s a problem with management or who does the ordering but I was in there for five minutes and I along with 2 other people left empty-handed, eventually people will stop coming !And not to mention the cluster mess of mixed matched items in the same bins ! Needs better organization and less junk more useful items for day to day use! I can honestly say this is the only store I am actually sorry for stopping at, And I only say that because I drive thru Elk River every day for 10+ yrs, and every time I stop here I’m disappointed ! Other people may not notice but they may not have visited as many stores of yours is I have or as often as I was in the BLAINE store !

From my experience at the store and what Ive seen from the reviews it seems the manager of this store has horrible customer service skills. And she clearly teaches her employees to customers the same as well. Throughout my whole shopping trip they complained. And when I got too the check out they kept complaining about how hard their job is. Like how tacky can one person get. For gods sake if you cant handle the site of children in your store maybe you shouldnt work at a DOLLAR TREE. just sayin.

This is a lot smaller than other dollar tree stores but it has necessities. Decent customer service.

Always a nice stop... Great employees. Plus its right next to Walmart so you can pick up those odds and ends & extras you just cant get for a buck.. this one in particular is also next to a Home Depot so include it in your home shopping extra needs too!

Customer Service lesson for the Manager Cindy. When a customer hands you a large bill youre unable to break, a simple Im sorry, do you have another form of payment? I cant break a $50. Throwing the bill back at me was disrespectful. An easy situation to handle and even understandable. Ill stop going to this location.

Great deals. Friendly staff. A little something for everyone and every room. Some name brand toiletries and cleaners and pop. Nice public restrooms also.

Good selection with a lot of decent quality items. Everything is really just $1, unlike some other dollar stores. Good place to shop for baby showers, parties, or holiday decorations. They also have nice wine glasses and vases in stock most of the time.

Beth was so rude. It was unbelievable. I asked simple questions politely. Her answers were quick and rude. She didn’t even turn to look at me when answering. She was rushing my replies. This lady needs a sit down and educated on proper customer service. As someone who’s done customer service all his life, I was really offended. I get it. People have bad days but still don’t be so obvious. FIX YOUR ATTITUDE!Edit: I found out she is a MANAGER!!! Unbelievable. The customer service skills of a person who just started. On the other hand, Hanna is amazing. She is very kind and polite. Better customer service skills then Beth. I read all these other reviews and they are all saying the same thing. Don’t be afraid to call them out on their rudeness.

Everything in this store seems to be a dollar, and some things are actually good deals. But take in mind that you are mostly getting what you pay for, and not everything here is the highest quality.The dollar store has a good selection of merchandise. There are toys, party supplies, food, and even an entire aisle of candy. All for $1 each.

I agree with Tyler. Manager Cindy was extremely rude and no proper customer service. She bad mouths and talks rudly about customers to other customers. I was waiting in line behind a lady and after she left the employee (who turned out to be the manager) stood there and complained about the lady. I was in shock that a manager had that little of respect and no customer service skills. I witnessed her talk rude about 3 different customers and overheard her say she wanted to call the cops on customers at times. I understand Im only 1 person, but they lost my business due to that manager. Respect and being nice go a long way! Also if you look back at the reviews, it looks like theyre is a general census that Cindy needs to be fired.

They had everything I needed and more!

Cindy and another associate (I couldnt read her name tag) harassed and sexualized me upon entering the establishment. They were discussing my wardrobe (tank top and yoga pants, not that it should matter) loudly, laughing at me. Cindy said and I officially quote I might dress like a hillbilly, but I know better than to wear that in public. They said much more, but I wont go into that. I contacted the company, but they wanted me to speak with someone that holds no real authority, and I wasnt willing to put myself out any further for the sake of the companies name. I no longer shop there, no matter how cheap the planters might be (I was gardening, and that was what brought me to the store in the first place). I wouldnt bring your children or teens there, frankly, that was such a horrible experience I would hate anyone else going through that.

Its a good spot to get party supplies. Had a 24 dollar bill at checkout, cashier was unable to break a fifty, next time will have to bring ones and pennys.
