Very cool place in a historic building, helpful staff, great atmosphere, plenty of seating (the window seating are nice for working!). I loved the Coconut milk flat white.

I dont drink coffee, but the quiche is always amazing and I LIVE for their iced vanilla Chai. All tables and chairs are vintage upcycled and they have couches and games to play as well. Perfect for families, catching up with friends, work meetings or for college study sessions. Its tucked away in a shop called Birds Gotta Fly so you can sip and shop as well. There is sometimes live music, especially around the holidays

Wonderful lattes and more! Had a bit of a challenge finding the place as our GPS took us to Prospect St. The parking lot and entrance is off of Michigan St. Great old industrial building renovated to just cool! Also had the sauage/spinach quiche...loved it. Well be back!

Such a wonderful little shop. The coffee was delicious and the people working there were so kind. There are a handful of comfy couches to sit on and even a little room to sit quietly in. I will come here often.

Besides the service being top shelf, the coffee is a Grand Slam! I have difficulties finding coffee that doesn’t hurt my stomach. Whoever roasts the beans, is a true professional. Stick with it, y’all!

I had brewed coffee because I didnt find anything on the menu that my arthritis diet allows. My friend had a chicken quesadilla and said it was delicious. My coffee was Costa Rican medium roast and tasted great!Cute decor. When busy and about 3/4 full, it was very loud. I loved the sign: Coffee for President.I would go back, but probably when less busy.

This was a great coffee shop with a warm and inviting space from hanging out to jumping on a few all day work calls. The coffee is delicious and locally roasted with tasty food options.Don’t pass this one up.

Steelyard serves the best coffee in town, hands down. The quality of their drinks is so, so much better than their local downtown competitors. The drinks are never overly sweet and the espresso is never burnt/bitter. If you care about the quality and taste of your coffee then choose this place!

We tried the half panini, quesadilla and tomato soup as well as a couple drinks. It was all pretty good, looking forward to going back.

Pretty cozy. I worked close by so the employees were all familiar with me. Service is usually very quick. Menu is simple but good although I went there so often I wished they switched the food up more. Awesome coffee cake and cinnamon roles!

Today was my first time here, I had an enjoyable time here with my mom. I will definitely come back to this place, I love how the staff are so friendly.I enjoyed the ambience of ths place. The food is really good.😊 I give this place a 👍.10/4/19 today I decided to take my grandparents here to have some brunch. they had know idea that this kind of place existed they were pleased with the staff and the warmness the other staff gave. They enjoyed their time there had a wonderful time here. They enjoyed the food here and were very pleased with the ambience and the atmosphere of the place. We took a look around upstairs just to see what was up stairs, some of the things there reminded me of my other grandmother who recently passed away last year. She was a very creative artist. God rest her soul. Thank you for letting me share this experience with my mother and my grandparents.🤗 I really enjoy coming back to this place.

Quality lattes and food!

Steelyard was recommended by a coworker for its coffee. I found their coffee very good but their food is the real stars of the show. I have tried several items from the menu and havent had anything that was short of amazingly good! The atmosphere is quite unique also as the Café is set up in an antique store. Highly recommended for anyone that wants a superior wrap or sandwich for lunch! Only one very small issue- they open fairly late for my morning coffee run ;)

It’s tucked away and a little tricky to find the first time but so worth the visit! This is one of those hidden gems. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the service was great! And as a bonus, there’s several other cute shops in the same building that are fun to look around in. You won’t regret you stopped by!

My daughter bright me here for the first time today and I love it! This place and it is absolutely gorgeous, comforting and very clean. Delicous options. The baked oatmeal and coffee was fabulous! My favorite Chuck Norris smoothie. Wow! I would bring my family and friends here every single time! The owner is very friendly and plenty of seating for friends & families.

This is a great tucked away treasure. It may seem a little out of the way, but definitely worth your time. The coffee is perfect. They have good roasts and its well brewed. Never burnt. The food always tastes great as well.The atmosphere is a good fit for almost any meeting. Whether youre looking for a quick stop, a day time date, or just meeting with friends, you have to go here.

Great hidden cafe. They make the best smoothies I ever had! You wont be disappointed.It is inside a nice building with many little shops selling a little of this and that.

Amazing staff gave great recommendations and were very accommodating when we wanted to try adding some of our own flair to a drink. Their bruschetta was 10/10 and their pastries were warmed perfectly. Drinks were delicious and perfect temp- hot but drinkable. Super nice. Love it, new spot :)

Met a friend here for lunch around 1pm, there were a few people but it wasnt crowded. The staff was friendly and patient and the dining area was clean, the menu is limited, but the food is very good. The food took a little while to come to the table, but this was nice because you get a chance to talk or play games (there are a few decks of cards supplied by the shop).I had the Reeses coffee drink, which was very good.Definitely would come here again.

Fabulously cozy atmosphere with a bit if nostalgia compliments of an antique building. The coffee is Superb, roasted by The Refinery in Elkhart. Simply the best coffee shop experience Ive had in the Elkhart, Indiana area. Today was my first experience here at Steelyard, but you can bet Ill be back. Outside of Fort Wayne. Indiana nothing compares to it overall. And Ive been to nearly all of the local places in Northeast Indiana.

Who go to Starbucks, when you can go here??? The coffee is better, and so is the atmosphere. Try the Cuban kiss. Its worth it.The rest of the store is worth perusing. Lots of great upcycled items.It looks like you are going to drop off recycled met as l at the scrapyard next door, but dont let that stop you from going here.I would go here any day of the week before going to Starbucks or similar coffee shops.

They know us by name, know our drink preferences, and always smile with everyone they meet. Perfect venue for my besties 30th surprise party. With how stylish the shop already is, I did almost no additional decorations, just some vases of flowers. Steel Yard also catered the event, and were wonderfully accommodating to our desired menu, and the open coffee bar was a hit with the guests! The whole experience of working with the staff went very smoothly. I would highly recommend Steel Yard for an event venue!
