Today I went back for my annual eye exam to my favorite place Professional Vision in Elicott city Maryland and I was seeing by my doctor for 39 plus years Dr Anne Marie Gallagher! The place was spotless clean, Covid-19 protected, privacy and care were number one priority and the service second to none! It’s no wonder doctor Gallagher is now the number 1 doctor in Howard county and the CEO of her practice! The staff were fantastic and caring, and I felt a warm and friendly family like environment over there! The office is moving to a nearby newly location in Normandy shopping center and I can’t wait to visit them in January of 2022! Keep up the good work Dr Gallagher and many Kudos to you for running an A+ facility with well trained and happy faces staff! Although the masks are on for all of us but you can see their laughs and smiles and happy faces under their masks through their eyes!!👍🙂 you have trained them well especially now with the pandemic passing through our lives!

The entire team there was so patient and understanding when I was running a little bit late due to traffic. It was a quick and smooth check-in and check-out. The doctor was very informative and she was patient in answering all my questions.

I have been going yo Professional Vision for over a decade. Everyone is just as the name implies--- professional. They are honest with their assistance. I have always gotten complements from others they way my glasses look and how they look. I know says I need to see a specialist, it is for my own eye health. It has to be like a family because I see the same employees year after year.

Everyone in this practice is so friendly, helpful and kind. Ive been going for years and the service is always top notch.

Went there for the first time today and had a great experience with my eye exam. Dr Schwabb is very nice and professional. Also what I loved about the place was that they were not pushy about making me buy glasses from them like many other places are. They also did what was required for the eye exam without trying to sell other unnecessary not-covered-by-insurance type tests as some other places try to do. Best part: they wrote my PD measurement on the prescription too! This will be my goto eye place from now on !

Great experience at Professional Vision. The doctor and staff are all professional and friendly. The exam was very thorough and the new digital retinal screening was great. Caroline was wonderful at picking out frames to try and I ended up with two perfect pairs(both her suggestions). Safety protocols in place are also very reassuring. Definitely recommend!

I have been to this office twice so far and I was pleased with the Doctor both visits. I was not pleased with the staff at the first visit. As I am in healthcare provider, I didnt think the staff was professional. While I was waiting for the doctor, I could hear their conversations about other patients. Although it changes my mind after 2nd visit. I met different staff and she was very helpful.PS: The lady at the front desk is a lovely lady.

Professional Vision has an appropriate name as the entire team is Professional. From arrival to departure they demonstrate a patient first approach with a focus on Covid safety and minimizing your time in the office.The support staff was knowledgeable and efficient. Dr. Schultz was thorough and took time to delve into issues as needed. I didnt feel rushed but I knew my eyes were in good hands. She identified an issue that wasnt even on my radar.Highly recommend this practice.

Ive used various optometrists in Howard County for the past 40 years. Professional Vision is by far the best. The office staff is very helpful in scheduling appointments and handling billing. Dr. Schultz is not only skilled in diagnosing, but also patient in explaining the diagnosis. The selection of quality frames is outstanding. Ive always found a style I liked. The turnaround time for ordering glasses is surprisingly short. I highly recommend Professional Vision for patients of all ages.

Great eye care center, very professional and friendly. Prices are very reasonable, and staff is very patient.

We used them before and we were always very satisfied. However, this last time, they got the axis wrong for cylindrical prescription in the right eye. They said it was wrong by 7 deg. Otherwise, lenses were mounted with no gaps (but the lenses were not polished well and the cut, lets say, was uneven). I asked to re-do that single lens that was wrong. They re-did both lenses. Now I do not see well with either eye: I have to push the frame sideways or tilt it to get good vision in the left eye and tilt in the opposite direction for the right eye. The mounting is awful too. When they handed me this new (corrected, 2nd version) glasses - there was a gap of at least 1/10 inch. They removed something that was stuck between the lens and the frame and they pushed the lens in, and the result is still awful with large gaps between the frame and both lenses. Lenses were cut unevenly with rough/sharp edges. They are polished here and there with large portions unpolished and looking matte. [EDIT: they did offer to polish them again and they came out better] They say that everything was mounted perfectly and that I should re-check prescription if I cannot see well with my current prescription (from their doctor). However, I know I have to tilt the frame by about the same angle as when I got the frames the first time in order to see well in the right eye. Hence, I suspect the right lens still has (nearly) the same error in the angle as before: it is hard to believe that 7 degree correction had no effect. Also, my vision in the left eye was perfect with the first version but not with corrected version. When was the left lens mounted according to prescription: the first time or the second time?Pictures below show how lenses look when I got home. On the comment showing uneven cut at the bottom of the lens: it could actually be due to the wire sticking out above the lens (Costcos lenses had deep enough grooves to hold the wire completely inside).EDIT: Caroline fixed the issue with mounting and angles. Now everything is alright. If we will use Professional vision again, we will have to ask specifically for Caroline.

Wow... hard to believe this place is so well rated. We went for eye appointments at the end of December including contact lens prescriptions. An appointment was set in mid-January for my daughter to come for training on how to put them in. At the appointment she was given an expired (Jan 2020) half-empty box of trial contacts. At that time I asked if my contact lenses had come in... they had forgotten to order them. It took four weeks to get my contacts. Sales staff very friendly but the front desk person was flat out rude. We will be looking for another optometrist.

Great practice! I have been going here for a few years and have always been treated with the best service. Dr. Gallagher and her team are wonderful! Evelyn always greats you with a warm hello and makes you feel like family. This was my first appointment since COVID and the office has taken all of the necessary steps to make you feel safe. Fantastic experience overall! Very accommodating & sterile for those worried about covid-19. I’ve been a patient here for 20 years & cannot give a higher recommendation. Even when I lived in Ohio, I still came back here once a year; if that doesn’t give you some perspective on how impressed I am with the service!

From the first step into Professional Vision, it was obvious they were taking the Pandemic seriously. Everything from temperature checks to health questions to cleaning and recleaning practices were in place. The doctors and staff were courteous, professional, friendly, and deliberately safety focused, setting all of us at ease during these tense times. As a senior at moderate risk, I felt totally safe.

We had a wonderful experience today having our eyes examined & choosing glasses. The staff gave us their full attention from the time we entered the door until we left. My husband & I were examined by Dr. Siu. Janice who helped us choose our glasses was extremely helpful & knowledgeable about the products & helped us make choices that we liked & fit our needs. We never felt rushed or pressured to choose something not to our liking. I am sure we will return again next year.

The front desk staff, Doctor, and glasses consultants were all very nice and professional. The office was very clean. While they offer a lot of products and will happily tell you about them, there was no “pressure” sales techniques used. They actually listened to what my needs were and made recommendations and offered options.

I decided recently to changed eye doctors because the other practice seemed to be all about money, how quickly they could get me out the door and how little anyone wanted to assist or even focus on me. I made an appointment for this coming Saturday its clear even my 10 year old daughter heard our conversation and they said not till December 5, why would i make an appointment thats not even close enough!...Whoever made an appointment messed up. Went to the place thought my daughter will get seen at first, I know theres Covid 19 but consider too that other parents have few kids and nobody to watch them so we have no option but to take them too and u expect us to be just parent and the patient? be considerate!! The lady at the front desk doesnt care at all and so mean like just reaschedule it!!!shes so unprofessional!! i like going there but as how they treat us, im never coming back!! Oh yeah that lady said she will send an email about the rules about Covid 19 even ask my email address and never sent me any info!!!!!

SEEING IS BELIEVING! All I can say is this is hands down the best place for my eyes. They treat me like a Queen! Everyone from reception to technicians and the amazing Dr. Bender are just delightful. I took my mom there for a 12 o clock appt.The appointment was prompt, everything was efficient, and everyone there was courteous as well. She got fitted for a new pair of reading glasses, and a thorough examination all within an hour. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs eye Care

Was very impressed with this practice - there was virtually no wait to see the doctor - was actually taken back right on time. Dr Bender was very good - friendly and informative. She was patient; gave honest opinions on how they looked and did an excellent job helping me find the perfect frame! I had great experience last year. I got my glasses and they provided great service.So I decided to switch my kids prescription to this place. For my surprise it was totally changed place. Their working hours shows they are open till 5pm. I arrived at 4:30 pm. To start with person who checked in stares at watch as she checked in and gives a look at us. Then the person who worked on our prescription she did her best to complete the selection by 5. But the whole visit was not welcoming. They treated as if we are invading their privacy.I really dont understand if office hours listed open till 5 pm and I walked in at 4:30 if thats not acceptable they should mention last customer walk in time on website or recommend to take an appointment.Even my 10 year old felt that they are not welcoming and he asked me simple question why we switched from old place. I was not able to answer that question.

Everything was excellent until it came time to pay for my glasses. They were trying to get computer to give my Federal employees discount for almost an hour.The lady who helped me pick out my glasses wan more than patient....A+. Doctor explained everything she found and answered my questions.....A+.It is a shame someone has a good experience and then so much time and trouble paying. Next time i, LL be tempted to take my prescription elsewhere to get it filled and new frames.

The location is further from me but my insurance basically made this location more affordable to me. I had no problem checking in but if you are going for contacts be aware of the small writing and extra cost associated with contacts.The Dr was very knowledgeable about my eyes and showing me examples of what he was looking for and how my eyes compared. I will say the staff that helps with your pair of glasses (picking it out) will look for what looks good on you, but make sure you look at the cost.I noticed when I picked out some inexpensive pairs of glasses and received help, I ended up with glasses that cost near $400-$500 instead of $199. So just be mindful that you let people know what your price range is for glasses. I did end up saving over $300 at the end (showed a comparison of what you are paying vs what you would have paid without the discounts)It is not a bad location but definitely good for those who have insurance that works with this company where you can save a lot of money

In addition to excellent general care, I recently had a scratched cornea...they scheduled an appointment for within several hours, saw me immediately, examined my eye thoroughly, prescribed the necessary medicine and gave me confidence that my eye had been well taken care of...I recommend these folks without reservation.
