Unexpected little ice cream spot. Serves ONLY soft serve but with a twist. Many of the flavors are vanilla with swirls of flavoring. The portions are HUGE and delicious but definitely filling. The custard is super creamy so definitely not light ice cream! Loved the raspberry swirl.

This shop is a lovely family owned business and a staple of my childhood. Its cash only so thats something to be aware of. It was my aunts first job and the place our great uncle would take us every week after dance class. They have really big portions of wonderful, thick soft serve and if youre in the area you should totally go! Its a great little local gem.

I used to come to Soft Serve in my childhood when this was a standalone store by the old motel. Still just as good, and with more flavor options! I love getting the hot fudge sundae with chocolate/vanilla or orange/vanilla soft serve, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Yum! Kiddie size is plenty big for me.

An excellent spot for soft serve ice cream. I have been visiting this spot for decades, now located in a nice new building. There is a line into this place for a reason. Get the kidee cone for a delivered amount you may actually be able to finish.

Great ice cream but portion sizes so inconsistent. I get same thing every time but never know how much I am going to get.Whoever was working august 14th Saturday at 1:00pm gave extremely small portions. Really getting old.

Best place to get cones I have ever been. They put Baskin R. to shame, now I know where to go when I want to get a great cone and not go broke getting it.

This is the best ice cream place in Maryland because they serve the most delicious soft serve ice cream, shakes, snowballs, and sundaes, they don’t cut short on portions, with a low price they give you enough to make you want to skip the next meal, and their customer service is one of the best in Maryland. 13/10 would recommend coming here.

Kidde cup is huge. Price reflects such. There should be a true kid size. I considered it a large portion.

Great local spot to get soft serve icecream. Very friend (young teens) staff. I think this would make for a awesome ending to a date night or just having dessert with the family. Had my first banana split here, it did not disappoint.

Star rating is based on little people reactions. According to the eleven yr old good soft ice cream is hard to find in HoCo nd they love raspberry flavor. Slightly younger munchkins exclaimed there satisfaction with orange vanilla and cotton candy flavors both of which I finished...lots of sugar

Great ice cream. There is not much to say. You won’t be disappointed when you come here. Although, you might want to arrive more than an hour before it says they close. We were in the shop with about an hour and a half to spare (according to the schedule on Google Maps), but the owner starting locking the doors early. It could be fixed now but it was confusing at the time. Other than that, I recommend this ice cream shop!

They do soft serve right! They have a few different soft serve flavors, other than just chocolate or vanilla, plus flavor burst and some unique dip flavors. A nice surprise and well definitely be back.

Delicious and creamy everytime. My husband (who grew up here) remembers the original stand when he was little. A perfect treat after a great report card, a flu shot with no tears, or just because!!

Glad I had cash because they do not take credit cards. I ordered the pumpkin spice/pie ice cream sundae with caramel. I used to go to Stuff Stuff (when I was a kid) when it was just a walk up and served 3 flavors of ice cream and I had not been in a long while. The sundae really hit the spot and the pumpkin spice flavor was on point for those who love their fall flavor fix.

Soft serve ice cream at its finest. Delicious and large servings at good prices. 6 desserts for 4 adults and 2 kids was about 35 dollars. The only thing to remember when going to get ice cream here is that its cash only. Worth a trip here every time.

I remember visiting this place because one of my coworkers recommended me. I was trying to see if they make custom designed ice-creams. It was funny because I had to google the method of making my custom designed ice-cream and show them but they managed to make it. Only problem was that they did not take credit cards (that is why I give them 4 stars). So I had to go to ATM but it was worth the extra trip because the ice-cream I got was the best.

Been going to Soft Stuff for years. A kiddie sundae us big enough for an adult. Servers are quick and nice.

We arrived at this fine establishment at 9:40 and they close at ten. The guy looked at his watch when we entered and said they were closing. We then spent $25 on ice cream and he was pressuring us to leave at 9:55. Unbelievable! Customer service is atrocious! Will not spend my hard earned money on this ungrateful business in the future.

I mean, how can you not give this place at least 4 stars. You come for soft serve icecream while also being able to choose 12 toppings plus the dips. You get the ice cream in around 10-30 seconds. Its reasonably priced. And lets not forget, YOU GET A HUGE QUANITY OF IT.

This place used to be a staple in the community. Now its a loose paperclip.... They have no toppings anymore besides childish sprinkles and gummy bears. The most notable change is the chocolate ice cream... It has some sort of like... Weird, gritty, chewy bits in it. IDK... Might be like cookie bits or something. But it gave the ice cream a strange texture and was just way under par. Ill just let this place remain a memory of my childhood because it Just. Aint. The. Same.

Great local stop for soft serve ice cream. They have many flavors to choose from. Like many other neighborhood soft serve joints, this place gives you a lot of ice cream. Its cash only, so remember to bring some.

Soft stuff is a great soft serve ice cream place. Its fairly simple, soft serve on a cone or in a cup with various toppings. The portions are very generous and there is nice outdoor seating area, inside us fairly small but its never really crowded enough to matter. The prices are very fair.

Very odd place. Incredibly popular on the Saturday night we were there. Ive never been to an indoor place with plexiglass between the customers and staff--very weird vibe. The staff was polite and fast. The banana split looked like a popular item, and it was huge. It cost us almost $8 for 2 cups of soft serve w/ no toppings...overpriced, but I should have expected it for the area. What really made this a 1 star experience is that the flavors of soft serve are just vanilla with a tiny ribbon of artificial-tasting flavor syrup. Gross and a rip-off. Unless youre there for the banana split, go get froyo for the same price and 5x the flavor.

I love this place! They give you a good amount of ice cream for your money AND theyre soft serve is delicious!!! Theres usually a wait because they have the best ice cream and they give you the most for your money so its well worth the wait!!! They only accept CASH though.

Great place to go for soft ice cream. The rest rooms are large and clean. The only issue for me is that they only except cash. This presents a problem because most people now a day only carry Credit cards. I hope this policy changes. If you have cash, I recommend this place to you.

Soft Stuff is great, but I feel like since theyve moved, the ice cream has changed a bit, nothing too much though, the ice cream is still excellent. The prices are nice, and the new location they have is a nice place, and the best is that it doesnt close during the winter anymore!

Cash only and they have snobby college kids that work there. Ive been twice since they reopened and both times I was the only person in line and had to wait over a minute for someone to acknowledge me. There was four or five kids working and they were too busy playing on their cell phones to help. When they did help they acted like they didnt want to be there or want me there. I live in Ellicott City but Ill drive to Mt Airy and go to Jimmie Cone from now on for soft serve ice cream. Yeah they give you a lot for your money but, the staff treats you like hot garbage. Not worth the extra ice cream to be treated so poorly.

It was a wonderful summer excursion to go to Soft Stuff. We all got so much ice cream that it was a meal in itself and the ice cream was great!! We will definitely go back again and again!!

Great soft serve ice cream. Warning: the portions here are LEGIT HUGE. I recommend getting a kids size or small. The menu can be a bit confusing as some of the flavors are in the ice cream and some are flavor blast.

Ordered two strawberry sundaes, for the three of us, did not enjoy the ice cream, left 80% of it. Went to the window and asked what the ICE CREAM brand was, and the young man got defensive, and answered that is was a mix, so I asked if it was real ice cream, got the same answer. Been there once before, got the the soft serve cone, which was pretty good. .advice dont get the sundaes, only getting one topping is a rip off for $4.50. AND NO NUTS!!The young man could have been somewhat acomadating, but he lacked training or experience in handling customer satisfaction. Will be a while if I ever go back there, definitely would not recomend the sundaes.

Im not impressed with a place that will rush you out the door 15 minutes before they close. And when they do close make sure to turn the light off. The owner was arguing with someone who wanted to come in because the neon OPEN was lit, but the window flip sign on the door said closed. He said, I dont care what the light says, my door says closed! BYE

Soft stuff was way better when it was still within the old forest motel that was here since the new location opened the ice cream hasnt been the same now dont get me wrong theres nothing wrong with the ice cream it just isnt as tastey as it used to be
