*Do not go if you have a nut allergy.* I have tried this place multiple times and I always have issues. This last time was awful. Multiple issues with our orders, expensive, and we were sitting outside of a storage room. A staff member was moving boxes into it and swarms of fruit flies were escaping and all around our heads and food. We left in a hurry because it was awful. The room also had food scraps all over the floor and was not very clean. Additionally my mom has a severe nut allergy, and during one visit she told the staff member this. Despite knowing about the allergy, we believe they did not take it seriously and clean the cutting board before preparing her salad. My mom took 2 small test bites of her salad and instantly her face turned red, her throat tightened, and she had an asthma attack. I wish more restaurants would train their staff to understand that allergies are deadly and none should ever be taken lightly. Every precaution should be taken to ensure there is no contamination if they knowingly let a customer place an order, or inform them they shouldnt eat there.
Met a vendor here for a short meeting, sat outside. Seemed like a nice place, had a delicious hot chocolate.
Me and my wife have been to this cozy peaceful atmosphere cafe twice now and I have to say that the owner is super friendly and nice! His staff is very pleasant to deal with and are polite right as soon as you walk through the door! The wait time is not bad at all! The food is so amazing! The combinations that are used in each dish complement eachother so well! And the drinks are out of this world.The Turtle Leaf Cafe is hands down one of the best places to eat!
Stopped in for breakfast on our way home from the Finger Lakes. Friendly staff, great coffee, and a healthy breakfast sandwich. Well worth the stop when in Elmyra, NY

Great food! I ordered the Elvis Burger which was unique with great flavor. My wife ordered the turkey Brie panini with strawberry jam, and loved it. The interior could use a sprucing up, but the food is fantastic.
Happened upon this place in Elmira on a drive through the state. Was pleasantly surprised by the options and the quality of the food. It was nice to have healthy choices and at reasonable prices.
My favorite place to eat in Elmira! Only four stars this visit because I got a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. Bacon was crumbled bacon not bacon strips so the majority of my big and fell off my sandwich while I was eating it. And it was very well done. Bacon strips would have been much better. But overall this is a great place to eat
Clean establishment, friendly staff who wore gloves while preparing food, and the food was great. A bit pricey but it was worth it. We were visiting from out of town but I would go back again, and we recommend this restaurant to others.

My wife and i have Ordered twice from herein the last week as we have been in the hospital having our first baby and Turtle Leaf has been a god send. Everything arrives perfectly packaged and labeled. 100% accurate orders. Excellent communication when the order is being delivered because it’s hard getting deliveries to the hospital in times of an epidemic. The food and service is phenomenal here! We visit Elmira once a year and have never been disappointed with this Cafe. We make it one of our places to visit just because there is no place quite like it.This time we ordered the roasted veggie and the strawberry turkey sandwiches and wow!!!! Both packed with amazing taste! Say ordered a raspberry smoothie. It was a perfect combo with the food.We recommend this place to anyone passing through. You will be blown away!

This is one of the few places in the area to get fresh food and drinks made with local ingredients. The fresh juice smoothies are killer. I love their house blend coffee hot or cold. The waitstaff is very friendly. From fall until spring they have unique daily soup specials ranging from a detox veggie soup to buffalo chicken soup. Definitely a must try!

Clean, well run operation that offers a great option to the fast food traps. I had the Chicken Salad Pita and Vegetarian Chili both were excellent! Including a bottle of water my bill was around $13. What a bargain! Will come here again and will suggest anyone who reads this to do the same! Nice job!
Food was good. I had the omelette with toast. Staff was friendly. Only dig was for the cleanliness. We came at about 9am and bathrooms were already dirty. The TP roll was just sitting on top of 2 empty rolls. The kitchen was dirty especially the hood and duct system. Otherwise, would be 4 stars.

I hadnt been there in a while and was really wanting a mango/blueberry smoothie and was hungry for a comfort food. Yes, a bagel with bacon and egg. Boy it hit the spot! The smoothie was just as I remembered. I drank it all the way to the bottom of the cup! Ill be back again. I miss those smoothies, I wish they post how many calories are in the food though.......

This place has always been amazing to me, excellent food excellent customer service. I am currently active duty military stationed out in Texas. I came back for the holidays on leave and made sure to hit this spot up. Not only were they respectful and polite, the food was amazing as always. They gave me my whole lunch 100% with presentation of military ID. This will forever be my favorite spot to eat. Thanks turtle leaf!

If ever you need a good, fresh bite to eat, Turtle Leaf is it.Cafe feel with most of the seating lined up along one side of the wall back to back. There is a section in the front to sit and relax in as well.You can tell they put a priority on fresh food! The Chicken Salad Pita is delicious. Now that they warm up the pita it is even better.Friendly staff. Owner is often around working on his craft, It is also nice to see that when he is around the staff is just as joyful and pleasant. It is a true team at Turtle Leaf it seems. Way to go!

Was running some errands in town and didnt realize this place was open for breakfast. I gave it a shot and what a treat it was! I had the omelet and toast and it was with spinach and some other fresh ingredients and was wonderful................. Recommend this place

First time trying the place. Ordered their omelet with a large banana strawberry smooth. Omelet and toast were the perfect temperature, smoothy was delicious. Hostess was friendly and courteous. Overall a very good experience and I will go back again. As for the smoothy they have a fan for life
Ordered an omelet online and in notes asked for Turkey sausage. Omelet had Turkey and pork sausage in it. Called restraunt Adam was out shopping asked me to call back in an hour. Worker couldnt find my online order but called back when he did find it and said he would leave it up for Adam. When I called Adam he also couldnt locate order and was very unapologetic to me. Said they can not see notes and I informed him that someone had to see it since I had those meats in it. He informed me that if they had Turkey sausage it would have been an option. Adam seemed very rushed and just wanted to get me off phone. I wouldnt recommend online ordering.

Food was great but they need a bigger space ...we ordered early 9am to be pick up at noon, one of our sandwiches was given to some else????? Had to wait for second to be made. Another person at the same time had placed an order for a work group and nothing he had ordered was ready!! Need more space to make this work!!!

The strawberry turkey Brie was AMAZING. It came with some carrots/dip and grapes on the side, which is a healthier choice than the usual chips or fries. Very fresh ingredients and great coffee as well!

I love stopping in for my favorite coffee, smoothie or breakfast. The employees are always extremely friendly and service is pretty quick! I do reccomend ordering online or calling ahead during lunch but otherwise Im so glad they are downtown!!
