Busy, but its that time of year!

It was great having a JCPenney here in Emporia Kansas, but sadly the store is now closed I got some great deals, nice clothes and shoes, Plus a little something for gift giving from the jewelry store, good quality good prices, and friendly staff goodbye JCPenney

This has always been one of my Grandmothers favorite shops to visit. Its small, fairly priced, and it offers a wide selection from day-to-day wear to all-business. Perfect for young ladies trying to dress comfortably, yet stylishly, and good for young men who need a quick fix for that special date. Good quality clothes sold by friendly faces.

We got a free $10 coupon which Im thrilled with. They need some logistics to handle the crowds but the sales were worth the wait. Im happy

Everything is spacious. Clean. Quiet. The only negative is you have to find the clerks to get assistance and they do not greet you when you enter the store.

Wanted to buy a ring. It was on sale for $549. Wait and waited. Not help around. Went to menswear...no help around. Not good for business for sure!

The jewelry was marked up high when it was supposed to be 70% off

The best sells in town. I would especially liked the alfed dunner buy one get one free. I also lived the Egyptian towels. We bought several things inend wear for prices I havent seen in years.

Store was near and well organized. Friendly employees willing to help you find whatever you were looking for! Great place

I was not pleased! I went in to exchange something that was too big. I had used a $10 reward to help pay for it. I selected something different to buy and when I got to the register I found out that I had lost my reward. I walked out and left them laying! I earned those rewards and because it didnt fit my rewards were voided. It will save me money in the long run.

Decent size location, that has been in town for a long time. Honors all the national sales that JCPennys offers and has a good variety of selections for men, woman and children. As well as a jewelry, shoes and bed & bath section.Staff are friendly and helpful, multiple checkout locations and entrances. Also an exit that leads right into the mall. Always clean and conformable environment.

The ad had long sleeve tops for 6.99. Nowhere in sight! Couldnt find anything I wanted, as far as tops, for under 20. Im going to Walmart!

Nice store in a recently upgraded shopping mall. The store is smaller so selection isnt as good as the Topeka store, but staff are very helpful and shipping is always quick.if you want to order something.

Love JCPenney and would rate 5 stars but the last time 2 times i went for shoes they didnt have my size in hardly any of them😥

I was there last week shopping at check out I was asked if I had a coupon at which time I did not I returned today with a coupon and most if not all of the items selected were at 25 percent off, my coupon was for 30 percent off, at check out today I was told they were not taking coupons, I could have gone to Topeka and received 30 percent off in a store that was not going out of business

Smart friendly staff and a reasonable selection for a smaller store.

Disappointed when I found out I couldnt try on anything OR return anything at this Pennys.

JCPenneys was having a big sale. Their sale prices were 25% higher than everybody elses regular prices.

Friendly Pretty small-town women were nice to see

The selection is not very good anymore, specifically in the chidrens section. Couldnt find any shoes in my granddaughters size. Get rid of the toys and add clothing for kids. The store was very messy and the staff was not present except at the registers. Nobody was servicing the floor to organize and such. The clearance, which there was tons of, was extremely unorganized and messy. Stuff allover the floor. I do like JCPenney clothing, the quality and pricing is good, but wish they would improve the Emporia store.

As a general rule, I would Rate thisJCPenney store as 3-3.5/5, or average, overall. Usually employees are willing to help; but not go too far out of their way. Also, for the most part everyone is smiling. Recently, however, it seems to be declining. Staff appears to have less communication between each other, and there are inconsistencies each visit. Twice I’ve given my phone number at checkout, Only to find out later that it was not entered and there is no record of my purchase under my name. That’s only the ones I found out about, and that’s within 3 months time. Because of a combination of these things I think customer experience is much less desirable,especially in the event of a return or jewelry repair. It would be nice if the staff To start to communicate better amongst each other. Also, I certainly did not enjoy being insulted by a manager and called out of my name (for any reason!!) during my last encounter so it would be wise (and polite!!) of all staff (especially mgmt)to refrain from taking their frustrations or other feelings/personal campaigns/angers/etc out on customers. It doesn’t always happen overnight -but this WILL eventually ruin your business- EsPESCiALLY if the bad seeds are in MGMT. yes, even a big name such as Penney’s...Customer isn’t always right ...however, the customer (as we all do) always deserves respect! TWO thumbs down this round.

A mess! I recently went into the store, I havent been there in a couple of years. I was turned off by the lack of employees, messy apprarance, and confusing display signage.
