Vibe: nice vibe, the place is a little outdated a d can use some touch ups, but still lovely.Service (quality/ response): excellent customer service and fast service.Food: quite nice selection of pastries that are made in-house, the latte was amazing (Dark roast and well managed).Thank you Darshan Bakery & Cafe !

Had a nice quiet lunch of homemade quiche and fresh pastry, sitting outside on the patio on a peaceful street one block of the buhbub of the main drag. Also was offered water for our dog Sailor who really liked the place too.

So, it is never a good sign when the worker looks like she wants to kill you, just for coming in. She was so haughty and had such an angry attitude, that everyone there seemed uncomfortable. The coffee is excellent and so is the tuna sandwich, so I might recommend it to-go? The place is unfortunately pretty musty and small, so it didnt feel like a great place to hang out anyway. Then, at home, we discovered that the Almond Croissants we took with us were very overdone and tasted burned.I have had many happy moments at the other location nearby in Del Mar. I would definitely try that one.

The shop is cute and cozy. And the Bombay latte was delicious! (I had it with plant milk.) I dont usually like to drink coffee because it gives me the jitters. The Bombay latte didnt give me any jitters at all – just gave me a really good mood.

My friend raved about the chai at Darshan and being a devout tea drinker myself decided to give it a try. Well. It’s delicious, not too milky, not too spiced, just right. Treat yourself to an almond croissant while you are there you won’t be disappointed.

Coffee was acidic and weak. Financier had decent flavor but lacked the slightly crispy coating of a proper financier. Chocolate orange cake was underwhelming and had a strange mix of spices that didnt work for us. Perhaps we were unlucky this time, might give them another try.

I have been all over the United States and never seen pastries so priced so high. Never. For the price of a gourmet steak dinner, you can have four pastries and four cups of water. Would I recommend it? No. The pastries were so so and not much better than Starbucks. Save yourself a ton of money and go to the Starbucks on the next street over. One star for the nice outdoor seating and one star for the nice man behind the counter.

Small little bakery offering great coffee and tea drinks as well as some beautiful pastries that are as good as the ones I have enjoyed while travelling in Europe. They have a few undoor tables as well as a few outdoor ones. They have additional parking in the rear off an alley.

This place is simply the best. They are known for their chai, and I can see why! Perfectly blended. It is presweetened with organic sugar. And their pastries are superb. My mother raves about their sandwiches. And the are right next to the most amazing meditation center.

This hidden gem of a cafe bakes up authentic French pastries daily. The coffee is amazingly good, which is saying something given the amount of fantastic coffee shops and roasteries within a 2 mile radius. As a Francophile, this place never disappoints.

Excellent bakery - they get down from scratch.Really limited lunch menu - Im talking three sandwiches but youll leave hungry like Im about to.Currently drinking a dirty Indian chai which I would put slightly above average but they charged me almost $7 for it ($5.25 for chai and another $1 something for the espresso shot). At this price point Ill pass.
