Great place to take family and friends. We had a blast and Grace, the owner, is truly wonderful. Gives a very helpful tutorial in the beginning. One piece of advice. Have an idea of what you want to paint before hand...you have an hour and a half to choose your paints and get your project done. So if you spend an hour thinking about what to do, you only have a half hour to actually paint it. Speaking from experience here!
I want to start off by saying Ive painted pottery for about 2 years now and have done about 20 pieces. I would visit my friend is PA and i guess the experience i had there was something to live up too.I would normally walk into a pottery place they give you there welcome speech you pick your pottery grab your supplies and paint and go at it.Here is much different you pick your pottery she gives you a little lesson and some tricks and tips (which I liked). She then gives you paper and asks to write three colors down to start with. She then came over and gave a quarter size of paint! I had to keep raising my hand and asking for more paint were i then had to explain to her why i needed more. She then watched me paint and told me not to paint he bottom (I was painting a bowl with a watermelon theme). She told my friend and I that we only need to stroke of paint! I like to layer my paint about 2 to 3 for a solid color. Thats when I looked around and realized all the pottery around me was so splotchy and wasnt painted well at all.I ended up paying $50 for a bowl and the final product looks patchy cause I couldnt do layers!I honestly wouldnt of mind paying that much if i could use as much paint as i wanted.
Definitely need more staff than just one lady to help three different parties. I went here with my grandma as first timers to make some clay. But since we know nothing about making clay by hand i needed more one on one attention of the steps. Either way great clean spot to bond over some pottery they have wide variety of things to paint and make by hand. You will make that day and then pick up the next week after it dries properly. The asian lady was very patient and helpful through this first time experience. Street parking available and 18 stairs to climb to get to studio from street level. I highly suggest call and book appointment.
Not a cheap experience - total for the 4 of us was $150. BUT- worth every penny!! The whole family spent two and a halfhours painting and laughing. Grace was amazing with advice and was always available for any questions we had.Also- there were 3 groups and each had its own room to keep socially distanced from each other.Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.
We had an amazing time at the studio with my daughter. What a relaxing experience to make your own creation from clay in a beautiful studio, guided by the Grace, who is such a pleasure to talk to! I really needed this zen experience to relieve the stress that has built up since the start of the pandemic. We called a day in advance to book the session, but I think you can also just walk in on certain days. The studio is big and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed every moment of our time there. Thank you, Grace!
Perfect place to spend quality time with my family
A calming experience. Very zen.
I came here today with my girlfriends. We had a great time!! The woman that works there was friendly and made us feel very comfortable. She helped me with my plate by giving me suggestions on how to decorate it. I would recommend this place.
Amazing environment for the family ❤ the lady who took care of us was pleasant, and great customer service skills 👍👌 Definitely coming back.
Excellent customer service and beautiful pieces available to paint. This is a very relaxing and enjoyable activity.
Absolutely wonderful and friendly lady, the whole experience was so fun and calming. Id love to come here again sometime and paint something else.
This is an amazing, loving place. Grace is an awesome person. She offers many different selections of art work and pottery that other local places dont have. I am definitely coming back and recommend you also come.
A little pricey but worth it I think. One mug cost $28 and you could only use 3 colors of paint. A lovely and quiet studio with lots of nice choices and very nice staff. I would likely go back for a treat but not too often.
Such an amazing place!! Definitely recommend! Grace is a sweetheart so down to earth and truly takes her time with her costumers. I will be returning many more times!
I celebrated my son 7th birthday:)))) it was an awesome party.Grace was professional, kind and friendly. The place was amazingly neatly beautiful and clean. The stuff was helpful. I was just observing the party. It was joyful party.Very recommended!!
Me and my family had a great time at Painting and Pottery Cafe today! Grace is such an amazing host. She made sure to walk us through every step and explained everything up front. We spent over an hour painting our sculptures and never once felt pressured or rushed. Definitely not your regular, everyday ceramic painting place. We cant wait to come back!
Ive been to a handful of these painting studios and this is BY FAR the best! The space and studio itself is SO gorgeous. It is spacious, beautifully decorated, and SO clean! The kind owner took me around on a quick tour and then I picked out a piece from the LARGE array of choices. Some painting/pottery places only have the basics. Additionally, what is so unique about this place is that it has several smaller rooms for private parties - something I will definitely check out! It should be a relaxing experience and I dont want to be in one space where there are screaming kids running around almost breaking the merch! I look forward to coming here again!!! I am going to paint a deviled egg dish!!! Thank you Painting Pottery Cafe!
This place is so relaxing and the owner is so so kind. Has good options of things to paint.
Beautiful space and atmosphere. Great to bring your kids or reserve a room to have a wine & painting night with the girls. Im so excited theres a studio like this in this area FINALLY. Must check out!
Great place for adults and kids. The owner is very accommodating.
Went to record some content for a blog and the participants had a great time! The atmosphere is comfortable, the studio gives off extreme artistic vibes and its a great way to spend some time with a group of people and have everyone in engaged. Definetly coming back!
Cant wait to pick up the piece I painted!! Place is so cute and cozy. Great location and space for group activities and girls night out. Definitely going back since Its BYOW!!
Great activity for all ages. Very nice, clean and cozy studio. Friendly and careful team. Not cheap..

Place is so much fun! Loved Instructor and felt creative.
My daughters loved this place and we will be coming back again for sure. Great way to spend quality time with your children
Great experience, lovely ladies, very helpful, we had a great time, will definitely be coming back for some more fun .
Loved it!
The owner is a sweetheart and the venue is serene and awesome. Great place to zen with the kids and let your creative juices flow.
Lot of fun for kid parties, friendly staff. Very cool pottery . Parking is tough
The only thing missing is that they served no coffee. You can prepare your own coffee but it tastes like disappointment on hangover.
