I had an appointment. They took me right in and told me how long it would be to change the oil and balance the tires. Shawn Bradley, my service advisor, showed me where the rest rooms were located and the lounge to wait. Asked if I wanted water or coffee. Very nice areas to wait. They were right on time when they completed my service.
This was my first time having service at this dealership and I have to say Paul and team did a great job. They were honest and transparent with any and all issues with my car and I feel good about my maintenance and new tires. The cost was reasonable as well. Thanks team!

Douglas in sales was very helpful and knowledgeable and made you feel comfortable, no high pressure here. Ill begin this by saying 100% honesty that for the first time ever I feel kind of bad about the level of a deal I received.I was looking for a vehicle within the 20k price range, cash offer. I wanted a mid size suv with less than 30k miles and preferably upgraded touchscreen infotainment system. Lets just say, after speaking with Ricardo for a little over 30 minutes. I found one within my price range, walk off price. I was elated. I literally was in and out of the test drive and finance process within 3 hours. I can not have asked for better service and a deal on a car. I am more than thankful and grateful for the deal I received from this team. I’ve bought two Mazdas from this dealership (2016 Mazda6 and CX5) and both have performed excellently. I have taken both of them in at the recommended regular maintenance intervals and I’ve never experienced a mechanical problem while on the road. The prices are fair (sign up to receive the service coupons), and the service is excellent. Both vehicles get over 30 miles to the gallon. At this point, I’m just waiting until Mazda comes out with an all electric, full size SUV for my next purchase. Until then, I’ll continue to faithfully use the service department at Mazda of Escondido.
Its the best dealer shop Ive ever visited. The process of checking in, paperwork, and waiting was very easy and comfortable. They didnt force me to do unnecessary repairs and they didnt put me and completed the service much earlier than expected. Agent Mr. Paul, in particular, was so kind and was different from other staff who guided the store in person and just followed the manual. If you live in the San Diego area, I recommend you take some time to visit the Escondido branch. Pleasant, quick service and friendly staff will satisfy your time.
Found a diamond of a used vehicle at there lot. So far, so good. First service with Mazda, and they checked for dings/things needing attention, on the car. I just needed an oil change. They asked if I wanted it washed, they seemed very detail oriented. Also, I waited less than the time they quoted, so that was very nice! They seem like a very helpful team. I was even given all information up front, no adding on things. Even was given a heads up about what they’d do for my next service, so I can plan accordingly.
Douglas was my salesman he was the greatest. He got me a great deal on my car and it had everything I was looking for! I love my car.

This is a terrible place to have any work done on your car. I dropped my car off for an oil change and a wheel alignment at 1 in the afternoon. I was told it would probably be done around 3. I called at 3:45 to get an update and was told no one was available to speak to me and took a message. I called again at 3:20 and still couldn’t get ahold of anyone in either the service or cashiers department to speak to me. I have to be at work at 5 and it is now 4:35. No one has returned any of my calls and I don’t know how I’m going to get my car back as I will be at work. At least if someone would tell me that my car wouldn’t be done I could make arrangements for work and leave my car overnight.

I was unhappy with the waiting area. Before the waiting area was basically on the showroom floor.We were treated special, free bottled water, coffee and popcorn. Now the waiting area is in a closed in room. Free water out if a water spotted drinking fountain, free coffee, and snacks from a vending machine. Who carries cash these days?The water spotted drinking fountain turned me off.To me that would be the same as drinking from the hose. I wasnt able to snack on anything I dont carry cash. Plus my car wasnt ready when they said it would be I was told 3:20. It was brought out until about 3:50. I could not hear the service rep, Paul. He spoke so very softly. I brought in a coupon and wasnt sure it would be honored until I left.
I just bought a 2019 Mazda CX-5 GT...I had the best car buying experience because of their professional and polite personnel, from Sales to Finance and Service Department; Ricardo, Javier and Paul. Ricardo is very knowledgeable with his product. It only took 2-1/2 hours from the time I checked in for my appointment till I drove off with the CX-5 . I highly recommend Mazda of Escondido.

The worst service. I have been trying to get someone on the phone all week who can just give me information on my warranty and pre-owned certified car I purchased recently. I was sent to 4 different phone lines each time I called in. Was dropped/hung up on twice. Called back the last time and was told a sales rep would follow up via email. I have the gentleman all my notes for the email and honestly it is two documents I need. NO REPLY.I went in for service previously (2 hours away) and was told they could not recreate the issue I shared over the phone so there was nothing they could do. I recreated the issue within a block of driving away! So frustrating.
We went in for a test drive on a White 2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Grand Touring. The staff were friendly & very accommodating. We were encouraged to enjoy the test drive. After experiencing the handling of the MX-5 we both agreed this was the ONE & deceided to move on with the next step. The process is all done on line now. By the time we finished with all the docs the vehicle was washed, detailed & filled with a tank of gas. If your looking for a Miata three were sold on 5/30/21. But Im sure they might be able to find one for you! Shout out to Armando, it was a pleasure working with you! 10/10

Because my car is a lot older, I prefer to go to the dealership because I feel that they will not skimp on the repairs. While it is probably more expensive, but for my vehicle I dont really have too much of a choice. Upon bringing my car in, I specifically told the representative that I could only fix what needed to be fixed to get the car running. Granted the car needs quite a bit of repairs. I appreciated Pauls understanding and getting my vehicle in, getting it repaired, and supplying me with a loaner until I was able to pay for the repairs. Everything was convenient for me in terms of paying for the repairs online, coming in to drop off the loaner and pick up my vehicle. I would definitely go back and I will definitely be back because as I stated before my car needs a lot of repairs🤷🏾♀️

The process was quick and really simple, especially considering we’re in the middle of a pandemic. I messaged with a sales representative for a day and arranged to come in to go for a test drive and have my trade-in appraised. I just purchased a car from Mazda of Escondido and I felt like I needed to RAVE about the service I received. Ricardo was my salesman and he was absolutely AMAZING. I am very particular and wanted to be sure I had all of the features in a car that I want and need. I test drove a couple of cars, never felt pressured to purchase, and from start to finish this was by far the most enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had. Kendall, in financing, was amazing as well. You can get a great car anywhere, but the team at Mazda Escondido went above and beyond in making the experience a great one. From the second I walked up to the door, I was greeted with nothing but smiles and upbeat personalities. Even through follow ups they made me feel like family. As far as car dealerships and the car buying process go, Mazda of Escondido is top-notch. Ill be honest, I hate buying new cars and dealing with salespeople. My wife and I used the no haggle Costco Auto program. You get the average sales price of your desired car. The process was easy. Will showed my wife and I all the cool features of the CX-9 and how to use them. He also gave us his phone number and said if we ever have a question, we can do a video chat. Will and the finance department were great!

Amazing customer service on the phone, in person, all of it. Mario was rad and so was the service advisor next to him (cant remember her name, sorry, but you ARE awesome!). Firestone thought I needed a new catalytic converter, which I know is expensive (I work as an auto damage adjuster for insurance) - but turned out just needed a software update. Easy. Peesy.
Theyre always kind and helpful. Its just frustrating to find out that one of the features in their vehicles, they cant fix, you have to call an 800 number and even then, all they do is try to troubleshoot, which didnt fix my problem 😒Bought it brand new and its only 1 1/2yr old. Oh well I guess.
I wish I felt comfortable walking into the building, but some people working there dont wear masks. The service department people are always very professional and friendly. I just walked to target to wait for my car to be ready instead of the lounge.

Made an appointment for an oil change but when I got there there was no record of my appointment but they said they could take me any way. Oil change, tire rotation and a wash would take 2 hours. 3 hours later, couldnt get a hold of any one in the service dept so went back over and it wasnt even done with the oil change yetNot happy. I told them forget the car wash I just need my car. I will not be coming back to this dealership. They dont seem organized, they dont communicate and it was a waste of my day.***When my car was finished the service advisor apologized and no charge for the service. I appreciated the consideration.

I took my car in for a recall. While the part is back ordered, they found another problem that had to be fixed right away. It was a several hr process. They did not delay as I was waiting. A part the keeps a belt on had broken. Would have been serious if the belt had come off. That also are very good at Covid-19 awareness!

I went in to the service department to get my mud flap fixed on my cx5 I was literally there 25 minutes and he fix the mud flap on my car .they never charged me and I was out the door very good service I cant say enough

Mazda of Escondido is the best Mazda dealership in southern California. I drive 45 minutes out my way to get my vehicle serviced there every time. Im writing this review because I showed up a little before 4:15pm after sitting in traffic to be told I could not get my oil changed because at 3:45pm is the deadline and that she likes to let her guys go a little early... Im not one to argue with people but according to their website the service department closes at 6:00pm. There is absolutely nothing on their website that says there is a 3:45 deadline in the service department. On average it takes the mechanics 45 minutes or less to change my oil including the complimentary car wash that comes with it. Im definitely not happy with the service department. This is something that I would get from the Carlsbad location. If it happens again I will make sure that the Escondido location will no longer receive my services.UPDATE 23July15: Thank you Hilary for reaching out to me to discuss my issue. Also, thank you for getting my oil changed and updating my navigation system for free, you are the best. I hope this incident was a one time thing. I will continue to make Mazda of Escondido my #1 stop to get my vehicle serviced.

I went to the Service Department for an oil change and work on a recall for my CX-5. They were very polite and got my car in just as I arrived. The estimate for the recall alone was 2 hours by Mazda Corporate; however, they got it done along with oil change in about an hour and a half. Very professional!!!

PENSKE MAZDA.Had an unfortunate experience with my tires. Came in to avail of the oil change and car wash appreciation for healthcare workers (I work as a medical staff for the US Navy), and this is my first time taking my car to a non-Honda service center. The actual work was not clear due to it non-Mazda. Immediately when I left the dealership the TMPS light turned on so I asked if I could return for a complimentary recheck. That’s when it was found there were not only 1, but 2 nails. I asked to be helped but they just rushed to mediate the situation with no apathy. Then I was referred to Discount Tire and now I’m waiting to get seen. If this is what I get for going to a non-Honda location or to avail of something supposedly good during these tough times, then I would rather just not be part of it and just stay in my lane.
