I did my fair share of research before going into the dealership and had a solid idea of what I was looking for. From the moment we stepped inside, we were quickly greeted by Eric. He was professional, transparent, and genuine; the entire transaction didnt feel sales-y. He was extremely helpful and helped us negotiate a deal that got us the exact car we wanted within our budget. Everyone in the office was warm and accommodating. We had a fantastic experience! Recently purchased used XC60. Sales rep. Eric Castro made experience better than expected. Despite getting low balled on my trade in, all aspects of the purchase was smooth. As I accepted delivery on weekend, there were a few things that needed follow on attention. Used Sales team resolved all issues in timely manner and maintained great communication with me for scheduling due servicing, for instance detailing of car was arranged at my residence, with EXCEPTIONAL results. Also want to mention finance was straight forward and timely. Thanks, I am enjoying my gentle used Volvo.

I am in the market for a new Volvo and, as many know, discovered that new cars on the lot are hard to find this year. Regardless, like many, I made the rounds and stopped in at a couple of dealerships in the area and left my contact information. My experience at Volvo Escondido differed significantly from my experience at Volvo in Carlsbad. Once Volvo Escondido found they did not have the car I wanted on their lot, they took down my info and told me they would keep in touch.....and Ive been hearing crickets from Volvo Escondido - no follow-up from Volvo Escondido. Volvo Carlsbad did not have the car that I wanted on their lot either, but Alex there, invited me for a test drive, talked to me in detail about the various options, models and features, and reached out to me periodically after that first visit, with info about the model that I wanted. Guess what. Volvo Carlsbad got my sale, and from Carlsbad Escondido, I am still hearing just crickets. If you are serious about finding a Volvo, dont waste your time at Volvo Escondido.

Amazing customer-first experience from Michael, Chris and Mark late into the evening last night!I havent shopped for a vehicle in many years and showed up past closing time to find the team at Volvo Escondido still willing to take the time to show me vehicles, allow me to test drive and, finally, decide on a vehicle to purchase.Not only did they never complain about me keeping them late, they continued to offer me one on one support to ensure all my questions were answered, never pressured me to buy and allowing me the time to think about my decision, even when it was so late after closing time.I cannot say enough about these three gentleman - it was more than a car sale to them; it was a family, a culture, an experience and I can strongly state the experience, care and customer service they showed me have made me a lifelong customer of Volvo Escondido for as long as Michael, Chris and Mark are there.Needless to say, my new Volvo is a dream come true!

My experience with Volvo Cars Escondido was fantastic. I had been speaking to other dealers in the Southern California region; the interactions left a lot to be desired. Fortunately, I connected with Eric C. during my first outreach to Volvo Cars Escondido. Eric quickly directed me to a XC60 with the specs/packages that I had requested. The entire process was smooth and transparent, and every interaction I had with Eric & team solidified my trust in this dealer. Eric has continued to offer assistance even after the sale was complete to ensure I am enjoying the car to the maximum.This is my first time in a Volvo, but I already know that I will be returning to this brand/dealer in the future. I just bought a Volvo XC 90 in June 2021. I had a great experience! Everything was really organized, the sales team was immensely friendly, the financing paperwork went through with no issues, and I definitely did not feel pressured into a purchase. I would highly recommend Volvo cars Escondido!

Negotiated with the manager for the entire week and planned on a coming weekend to drive over 6 hours to purchase. I begged the manager to hold it for literally 1 day because I was driving from a different state, but he said he couldnt. I offered a deposit, but he stated CA policy states that car dealers cant accept deposits to hold a car.I was already prepared with a bank cashiers check (sales manager knew this) and ready to get up at 4 AM to drive over 6 hours for pickup.The sales manager, Mr. Barot stated try not to worry. Since the car was sitting in the lot for almost 8 weeks, the chance for the vehicle to be sold a day before my purchase date will be very very low. I was still skeptical because a typical dealer dont care about decency, they all care about the profits.Volvo Escondido sold my car literally less than 16 hours before I got a chance to get there and pay for it! One of the most disappointing car buying experiences of my life. How would you feel? Profits over decency.

Worst service experience ever. I’ve had my 2019 xc60 for 2 years. I had it serviced at Volvo Escondido using the valet service last year. That was a fantastic service. However, this year I was told that Valet is no longer available due to limited staffing, so I asked if there’s any kind of transportation provided while my car is in service; the answer is no. No valet, no loaner, no shuttle. The expectation is just to wait there for 2+ hours. I was okay with it expecting the service center to have coffee, comfy sofas, and desks to spend the 2+ hours like any luxury car brand service centers. Well, NO … just 3 sofa chairs and a TV in a very small space. No coffee or refreshments. I honest had better service experience at a Toyota before … We ended up going to the Audi next door, and was offered a hangout place to charge and do some work and refreshments (we aren’t even customers there).All of the above was partially my fault for not doing my research on the amenities before coming here. I really did not think a luxury car service center could be this bad. Okay, at least if the service itself was good, I would not have bothered to write this long review. But the service was bad too!!!We went in for a standard 2nd year maintenance and inquired about a squeaky noise that the car makes while cruising. We got the car back and was told that they couldn’t reproduce the squeaky noise, but the noise is so obvious!!! We couldn’t prove it then, so we just took the car back. Then about 15 min out of the place, the tire pressure warning came on. I called and asked what to do, they said maybe it’s just not calibrated right, no apologies even though it was just there for service (tire pressure checks included in the service!). We tried to recalibrate in the console, but the warning keeps coming back. I freaked out at this point wondering if I had annoyed anyone at the service center because of the feedback we gave about the amenities, and they might’ve slashed my tires. I called again around 5:20 (this was Friday), nobody picked up. I left a message saying that I understood it’s Friday afternoon they might be closed already and asked if someone could just call me back because I didn’t know what to do. I was near a Costco at this point, so I went into the Costco to get the tire pressure checked. The Costco staff helped me. And it turns out they over inflated one tire while another one was under-inflated. I’m writing this review on Wednesday afternoon, still nobody from Volvo Escondido ever called me back.I feel so stuck and helpless. I’ve only had the car for 2 years and don’t think I should sell and get a new car. I also really like the car itself. But I also know I’m stuck with this kind of service for however long I’ll have the car for. This place has completely lost my trust.

My experience at Volvo Escondido was beyond satisfactory.My husband and I worked with Elvis Carter throughout the entire experience. We hope he is praised and rewarded for his excellent service! He makes you feel like family rather than a customer. From the moment we used Costco and TrueCar, Elvis contacted us with professionalism and ease. He responded quickly and was determined to get us the car we dreamed.Once we were at the dealer, Elvis was beyond patient and accommodating. Your financial team was very personable and willing to try different car scenarios for us. In the end we walked away with the perfect car:Thunder Gray XC90 Momentum.We hoped we could’ve had the car detailed on the day of purchase, rather than returning again on another day. Bought my preloved XC60 here -- this review is for service excellence. The sunroof had an issue outside of warranty, and Chris Dietrich in service made valiant efforts to successfully take care of me and my baby tank. He is the BEST. Mind you, getting this fixed was a royal pain for us both since I live in LA -- Chris handled my frustration with the situation beautifully (his people skills are truly top notch), and worked with me to sort out the logistics like a champ. My husband grew up in car dealerships (family business) and emphasized this level of care and service is exceptional. You have our deepest gratitude and respect -- thank you, Chris!

We purchased my 2017 Volvo XC60 T6 from Volvo Escondido which was advertised both on their website and the Volvo Certified website as coming equipped with the Protection Package.We arrived after a drive a three hours in the late afternoon with darkness falling and took the car for a quick test drive but since it had all the options we wanted; I did not deliberately crosscheck that everything was included that should have been trusting that this would not be an issue with a licensed Volvo dealership and the purchase of such an expensive vehicle.This was the fatal mistake.Upon getting the vehicle home we realized that the mats (protection package) which we had assumed were in the back cargo area were not there.Thinking that they had just been inadvertently removed while the vehicle was vacuumed prior to sale etc. I called the dealership the next day and left a message on my salesperson’s line who is the manager of this dealership..He did not even bother to return the call.Later when speaking with the dealership again I followed up and again requested a call back again to deal with this.Again no follow up.Basically this is a few hundred shy of a $1000 item that Volvo Escondido misleadingly advertised for and built into the car’s selling point and that they are deceptively stealing from me as the purchaser.Needless to say they have lost someone who would have been a repeat customer and I want to warm anyone else dealing with Volvo Escondido that they have a distinct lack of integrity, concern for honesty, due diligence and customer care.I have also followed up with Volvo USA on the deception perpetrated by Volvo Escondido and they have also contacted the dealership but they still have done nothing.A poor showing and poor business practice, Volvo Escondido.

This was our first time doing business with Volvo Escondido. They made car buying such a pleasure. Lance Morgan the GM/Sales Mgr was so easy to work with and made our process such a breeze with their pricing simplicity and efficiency. We got an outstanding deal on a new SUV, and great trade on our minivan, and his team had everything prepared and ready to go for us. We were in and out of the dealership is less than an hour to sign everything and take delivery of our car. Malakai, our sales associate was very knowledgeable and did a great job showing my wife how everything works on the car. Patrick in the finance department was prepared and on the ball. He did not try to up-sell us on any extras. They make car buying enjoyable and convenient. We could not be more pleased and will highly recommend them to all of our friends and neighbors! We also love our new Volvo!

This dealership sold me a total lemon .I have had to spend thousands of dollars to try to get my car working, and Im still not able to drive it.I NEVER received a call from the warranty department to allow me to purchase a policy.The day I visited, the manger was doing everything, we had to spend a lot of time to even get paperwork done. They were completely short staffed. And the person who handles warranties was not even there, and he did not follow up with me when he returned to the dealership.(which the manger said that he would)Be VERY careful buying anything from this dealership.!!!!

Just had the greatest experience of purchasing a car sight unseen from them. Lance and Larry from their sales department went above and beyond to first find me the car I was looking for and then deliver it about 120 miles away. In between our first talk and final delivery, they were very up front, didnt play any games and kept me in the loop every step of the way. The quality of an organization shows not when everything goes right, but how a mistake is rectified. The team here was excellent. Robert and Robbie help my wife and me get through the first auto purchase since we were married, even though some things went wrong and they made it better than right. We will be looking to Volvo Escondido when we have another car to buy.Short version: We had several complications in the transaction and these two did AWESOME...we didn’t have the financing we expected and Robert get us approved, at 8:30pm, for financing so we could drive away with the minivan; our kids were past bedtime and Robbie was a great help watching the kids while we finished the paperwork; a recall was supposed to be finished already but we drove away with it not actually completed—for this they called and are doing nearly all of the driving involved in getting the recall taken care of and getting the car detailed for us.Long Version: It is a used Honda Odyssey that my wife found that was the lowest price for what it was by far (a friend who goes to auction said it was a price close to what he would pay at auction). We drove from our home in Hemet, about an hour away after work on Wednesday so we could be sure to have it there instead of having someone else buy it. We took our two kids at 6:00pm with us. The minivan (my wife is pregnant with child #3) was great but just had one recall notice that Robert and Robbie had checked on and said it was covered. It also was a little dirty. They offered to detail it if we could come back in the next few days. We had to go back anyway because the financing we had needed to be finalized, but Robert found a way for us to drive away with the minivan and financing secured but we had the ability to get our initial financing secured and substitute it in.The next day we got a call from Robbie...it turns out the recall hadn’t been fixed yet and would take several hours or even days to get taken care of. That’s a big mistake when we need the seats for the kids. We didn’t get a chance to say anything because Robbie immediately said that when my wife brought the minivan down the next day they would hand her the key to a loaner vehicle and that he would DRIVE our minivan to our house (an hour away) when everything was done and then drive the loaner back. We asked why, and he said that it was their mistake and they wanted to make it right. They had already stayed late at their office to get us out the door with the vehicle and now Robbie was going to take an additional 2-3 hours of his day to bring us the minivan. After being rear-ended on the freeway by a truck, our minivan was totaled and we needed to find one quick. This place had an Odyssey that was the color I wanted and negotiations was easy over the phone. My husband and I interacted with Larry and Lance and both gave off honest service-oriented vibes. That didnt stop me from having everything in writing that they promised and worrying that they wouldnt follow through but they did.Service was excellent. At one point I complained about the drivers side mirror jiggling when I drove at highway speeds and they fixed it and gave me a loaner car while they did and then had it driven to my home and swapped it after it was fixed. Amazing service! And excellent price too. Im the type that still looks around after Ive bought to do a sanity check on price (and make sure no buyers remorse, lol) and Im happy to see the deal I got from them was excellent.Im glad we went with Volvo Escondido. We had gone to Carmax and to another dealer but the vibe didnt feel right. It was a stressful time for us having been in an accident and also being in the middle of a move out of town but dealing with them was a pleasure - I felt Lance sincerely wanted to make sure he kept his word and provide good service - and it worked out well for us.

Wow! What a great experience, never judge a book by its cover! The dealership is small and quaint but their customer service is outstanding! My wife and I went in Saturday even though we knew we were probably not buying a Volvo we still wanted to test drive the XC90. (We were planning on purchasing a Lexus RX350). After seeing & driving the XC90 we had a change of heart, but still didnt want to spend 10K+ more. However, Lance made us an offer we couldnt refuse. They bundled Cosco rebates, factory rebates, Labor Day incentives, conquest cash, all together to make us a great deal! Thank you Mike & Lance! My wife and I will be sure to tell our friends & family! Well Done!

On Nov 9th, 2012, I took my XC90 in for 90K service. When I picked my care up later in the day, the “Service Advisor”, John Warner stated that there is a minor leak in my power steering line. Volvo quoted me around $700 to repair. This sounded pretty steep, so the next day I went to get a second opinion and there was a puddle of steering fluid and oil in my new driveway. I took it to Han’s Auto in Escondido they showed me that the oil filter housing was improperly mounted and the whole undercarriage of my XC90 was drenched in oil and most of the oil had leaked out. In addition, they showed me that there was NOT a leak in the power steering hose and it does NOT need to be replaced. Han’s did not want to charge me anything but I insisted that they charge me $40 and I will get it back from Volvo of Escondido.I took it back to Volvo and they fixed the oil filter housing, cleaned the undercarriage, and credited me $40 for my payment to Han’s but stood by their recommendation to change the power steering hose. I took it back to Han’s again and they said “ there is no leak and the power steering hose does not need to be replaced. I will NOT be coming back to this company again.
