Just stopped by for an iced Americano. Tastes great. Heard about this place because they were not requiring masks(back when SD County did), so I wanted to check it out and support. Glad to see a lot of great smiling faces and also got great coffee. Highly recommend !

While I definitely don’t share the same “views” as the people who run this shop, the reality is, I’m not frequenting a coffee shop to talk politics. I’m looking for good coffee, good food, & good customer service and this place exceeds my expectations. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the coffee is always delicious, and if you haven’t already tried it, get the savory waffle. I literally dream about it, it’s that damn good. They also have a cute little corner with kids toys which I love since it keeps my 3 year old entertained long enough for me to enjoy the above mentioned coffee and waffle.

Wow...!?!? I just learned that they make the waffles from scratch. Amazing flavor...so so good.The chai latte was great. Nice vibe atmosphere too.

Tried Koffie today after being disappointed by how much the quality has dropped off at Kettle since I was last here in Escondido. Menu is focused on coffee drinks with few food and flavor options. Cappuccinos were near perfect combining high-quality ingredients with great craftsmanship in preparation. This will be my new regular coffee hang out in Escondido

We really enjoyed this place. Highly recommend the scratch waffles and cold brew! We drove 30 min to visit this place. Heard about them on Public Square and had to try.

Best coffee & service around. We drive from far distances to go here. Their craft is the best you can get. The people are some of the best you could meet. The waffles are insane. They make homemade vanilla syrup. What more could you want?

Went today with my wife and it was a lovely experience. The staff was nice, the atmosphere was great, and the coffee was really damn good. As someone who worked in coffee for years I appreciate a simple, focused menu. The fact that you don’t have to wear a mask is just icing on an already great cake. Really check these guys out if your around Escondido. 100% will be back.

I visited Koffie for the first time today with my husband and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The coffee was delicious (I ordered the cappuccino), the atmosphere was great, and the staff was so friendly. Will definitely be returning when Im back in town!

Best waffles Ever! They do not need any butter or syrup, they just heat them up for you. Best service and I love their homemade Chai Latte.

Stopped in downtown Escondido to visit a local coffee house and to support our small businesses. I was greeted by a smiling face behind the counter. My piping hot vanilla latte was delivered just like I like it and the fresh baked croissant was delicious. The atmosphere is very comfortable with both indoor and outdoor seating. Visiting Escondido, give them a try.

If you want to feel like a hipster this is the place to go. Very fresh, modern, eclectic, minimalist look. Apparently their cold brew is off the hook because they didnt have any when I showed up at 11am. My coworker said the cold brew latte is legit. I got an iced Americano and I was very satisfied.

Just so you all are aware, they can not sue you for posting that no one was wearing a mask. Its literally part of your experience when you are there. So if they were not wearing masks, you are free to post about it. For a guy who stormed the capitol youd think hed know what the 1A is, just saying.

We drove 35 minutes to get coffee here and it did not disappoint! My iced oat milk mocha was delicious! Place was very clean and sanitary. Staff was very nice. 5 stars for experience, seeing smiling faces, great quality of coffee! We will be coming back often.

Right at the top of the downtown strip on Grand East of Juniper. What a cool place to sit and enjoy great bevs and more! We had the Ster of the day and a capuccino done right. This is a brand new Koffie shop in our neck of the woods. Try it!

I stopped in here Sunday morning because I heard that they had amazing coffee. I had two of their coffees off their menu and a waffle. The coffee was outstanding but the waffle was one of the best things Ive ever tasted in my life! I highly recommend this place and will be returning for years to come! I came in for the first time and I was blown away by the quality in service and drinks! Their pink elephant was delicious and definitely not what I expected. Their staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions. Great coffee shop, I will definitely be coming back again.

Nice staff. Glad to support a local coffee shop but feel they could be choosing to wear masks, and ask for customers to wear masks when not sitting & consuming food/beverages. And maybe take more precautions everything going on and not allow so much crowding to be happening. Whether they believe these steps make a difference or not, I think it’s respectful thing to do in such uncertain times. Choosing to stay open and go against government shut down is one thing to keep business alive, health and well-being of your community is another. So I will not be returning but supporting companies that align with my morals.

Nice place, nice and friendly people. the only thing that bothered me is the sound of the barista preparing espresso and emptying the Espresso Filter Holder in the trash, that was VERY annoying. Will definitely go back, maybe just will have the coffee to go.

Maple Latte left something to be desired. I wouldve preferred being served in a mug vice to go cup. Prices are a bit steep for the Ozs served. I would however swing by again if in the local area.

I did like their coffee and waffles every time I went, but unfortunately I care when a place does not adhere to safety precautions. I saw a bunch of people come out of the place without a mask and neither did the baristas. Super nice people and place, but I wont be going here anymore, sorry.

Selfish and ignorant owners staying open amidst a pandemic. “We don’t think staying open is contributing to the covid deaths”. Just because you don’t believe something doesn’t mean it’s not true. Coming from the front lines as a RN, please let me tell you the reality of the situation, not an opinion. Staying open and not requiring masks is ABSOLUTELY contributing to the number of deaths. It might not be your young customers that are dying, but it’s their families, their friends, their neighbors that are dying by the hundreds of thousands. Nearly 300,000 people have died in the US alone and the numbers are rising. The blood IS on your hands, whether you accept that or not. This has nothing to do with freedom, and everything to do with common decency. Requiring masks is not difficult nor an infringement on your rights. It WILL save people’s lives, and help our completely exhausted and overwhelmed front line workers continue saving people like you from death.

Such a nice space to read or hang out. There is lots of open space and nooks to hang out in. The coffee is delicious and the baristas are super friendly.

Quaint little coffee shop like no other Ive been to in Escondido. Small menu but everything is top quality.

Wanted to try this place out, but then discovered they do not enforce any sort of covid safety protocols. They do not require masks for their customers or employees, which is very concerning. Also it seems they are keeping their cafe open for dine-in regardless of the new restrictions that have been put in place. Very disappointing. Its a shame too because I hear good things about their coffee, and their asthetic is lovely. But I cant support a buisiness that doesnt support keeping their community safe and healthy.

Staying in open in the middle of a global pandemic because they’re sooooo big and tough. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and shame on the customers who are showering them with praise for this.

What a delightful experience. The owner has created a warm and welcoming environment that focuses all its collective efforts on crafting an incredible cup of coffee. Considering the craft level of coffee that this place serves, it is absolutely a local gem that you should not miss. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I am bummed to write this review because I love to support local coffee shops..BUT...neither of the 2 baristas working were wearing masks while making and serving food and drinks. When I asked the woman Youre not wearing masks? Her response was We dont really enforce it unless the customers want, and didnt seem concerned. Neither of them washed their hands, either. I see from previous Yelp reviews that I am not the only customer troubled by this. Sadly, I dont feel safe going to Koffie anymore as they do not take the pandemic seriously and dont care about the health of their customers. To top it off, $7.45 is too expensive for a latte.
