Awesome store with an awesome owner and play group. Highly recommend to anyone looking to pickup some packs of a variety of games like mtg and fab and pokemon. Can’t wait to go back 😄

Great shop with a knowledgeable owner. Big selection of comics including 9.8 CGCs as well as signed comics. Currently establishing a Magic The Gathering player base for commander(edh). Has an awesome racing simulator setup in the shop with decent pricing deals to use it.

Small but welcoming!! This is Great place for local table top players, there’s tons of unique and beautiful comics as well. I went in to check it out and had a wonderful talk with the employee over magic the gathering for about 10 minutes, I ended up coming back the very next day to buy some sleek card sleeves! I can’t wait to continue supporting this place Escondido needed it!

I love this place. The owner cares about his customers. Has the mintiest comics. I feel welcomed unlike a majority of comic stores. I drive 40 miles and pass up 3-4 comic shops along the way. Respect and Fair pricing. Thats all we can ask for

Allow me to set the stage so it is as clear as possible. My friend and I were on a quest to buy some comics related curiosities on a Saturday Afternoon. She burdened with Cash in hand and me armed with my phone armed with Google Pay, We were near the wreckage of the now Defunct Fry Electronics Building that no doubt had the ghosts of receipt checkers haunting the once hallowed halls of PCBs and transistors. We Look up Comic Book Stores in Escondido as that was on our way back to our figurative Jean Grey School of Higher Learning or to use the common vernacular, home. We used Google of all things to find ComixLounge saw that it was open til 8pm and merrily made our trek to their location. We arrive at roughly 2 minutes after 7pm to locked doors and no indication if they were even still in business. There were were matrices of a comic book store but it seemed Dead... Faded old posters on the windows, their marquee faded as well. As we were seasoned adventurers, we did not allow the facade to deter us from spending our currency. we rang the doorbell, no such luck. I think one of us even tried the elven word for friend. we. were. determined. after a while we presumed the facade was not a facade and they were indeed closed for business, presumably another victim of the pandemic of 2020. We return to our vehicle and proceed to look up our next stop, also Google. As we shifted the vehicle into reverse, two young men came out the front door.Bewildered to why we would even be there, they informed us, in a very terse tone, that they close at 7pm. We informed them that Google told us 8pm. which is irrelevant by this point as we arrived mere minutes after 7pm and by the time they got around to addressing us we would have been finished with our business if they had just let us in when we arrived. CLEARLY they were inside. must be nice to forgo potential money to be made. That is a great privilege to have. I envy them. I apologize to the store for having the audacity to want to patron them. I will not be making that mistake in the future. to reiterate it was SATURDAY. Fathers day was on Sunday. if you were closing early for Saturday plans, maybe let customers know by some sort of notice like, closed early for holiday on the door? Maybe? it takes 5 seconds on a white comic backing board. That may have saved the store from a 1 star review.

A small but nice store with a good selection considering its size. James, one of the owners, was extremely friendly and helpful in locating the comics, and the covers, that I was looking for.The prices are great, and better than youd find at some other stores.Mind you, the store is still in the process of opening up, with the grand opening in April, but I am excited to see where things will be headed with the store.It is definitely my new favorite place for comic books in North County.

Very cool comic shop. One of the best Ive experienced.Owner is chill and always has some kind of storyline bundles at a discounted price plenty of good back issues and lots of variant covers . Drove by one night to catch a lightsaber battle night where everyone was dressed as their favorite star wars character to duel it out behind the shop. Different color lights ayers flying around just as it was getting dark!Fun place, check it out!

It was a little small, although nice.Only 3 stars because they only had brand new comics that are recently coming out.No older comics or collectables. Kinda bummed

I am really glad I found this place. It has a great selection and the layout makes it easy to find what youre looking for. Very clean store with a welcoming atmosphere. James was super nice as soon as I walked in and had great recommendations. Plus he had a book that I havent been able to find anywhere else for a couple weeks. The store has a separate area for all kinds of gaming so Ill definitely be headed back to check that out.

James runs a great store! Everything is well organized and clean. Hes extremely knowledgeable and very friendly with a great selection and variety. If he doesnt have it, hell get it for you. I love this store

Went to the ComixLounge when it said it was open. Doors locked and nobody home. Bummer.Response to reply: Except it wasnt fathers day when I visited. Furthermore, 2 men came out, confused why there was a car in the lot. So no, I dont think you were at dinner.

I just left this little gem of a shop and I fell in love. James (the owner) knows his stuff and his stuff is comics. This comic book is a welcoming place with plenty of comics and an owner full of knowledge to guide you into new worlds. Today I walked out of this store with a few new things and I cant wait to read them all base off the recommendations of the owner. Head this way if you got a chance to keep comic book stores like this strong! You wont regret it.

They have GREAT prices, knowledgeable staff, and was an absolute pleasure to do business with. I WILL be spending a lot of unnecessary money here in the future. It could be worse... My midlife crisis could involve a Corvette instead of comics.

Really cool little comic book shop, with a pretty decent collection. They had everything I was looking for when I stopped in. Very helpful staff, and helped me find exactly what I was wanting.

New store for the new decade. It still has that new comic book store smell. A fun place to visit if you are a fan of comic books. Soon they will be having trading card game nights in a lounge area and some movie showings.
