I love House of Pure Elegance!!! It carries a wide range of traditional outfits that are affordable yet stylish. I also love the customer service that I have received so far!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Extremely rude customer service. I ordered a custom made suit from this vendor and constantly had to follow up with her regarding measurements and payment. She claims she didnt ask me to pay before hand because my mom is her friend (not really) even though I told her to venmo request me early on in our message exchanges. My suit was a custom order with embellishments and she even asked me if I wanted the pants to be like the model was wearing them, to which I said yes. Weeks roll by, which is not untypical for custom clothes, but I had to reach out and ask when my clothes would be in. She gave me a date range and that date passed so I bought another outfit. I didnt feel like I should constantly be asking the status of something. Finally, two days before the event, she messages me and tells me my clothes are here. I told her that I had already purchased another item from someone else and she says I have to purchase this because its custom. I think ok, its a small business (even though she works full time for a government contracting company) so I go to pick up the item. When I get there, the item is not at all what is in the picture, and she claims its because I asked for a certain type of stitching that didnt include the embellishments. I opened the pants and they were not like ones in picture, even though she asked me do you need the same style of pants .. to which I responded yes. I told her I would only pay a certain amount because I had bought another outfit and she said You know what? You can leave, I will sell this to someone else, I cant keep doing this with you. I am not sure what that means, but I have bought from her before and had zero problems. I told her I had said I wasnt going to purchase when she initially messaged me earlier in the day and that this was a waste of time and she goes Youre wasting my time, just leave the suit I will sell it to someone else. I even said, you could have venmo requested me, I would have paid beforehand like I kept telling you and she said, in a very snarky manner I should have. Not wanting to be in this extremely combative and triggering situation any longer, I left. It was extremely jarring, combative and rude, especially if she claims my mom is her friend. I would not urge anyone to frequent her business, especially if they want good customer service and good quality clothing.
