Great customer service! About 1 month ago, I was in the market for a new front door light fixture for our house, as we recently had new vinyl siding replaced. The owner was very helpful during the process of choosing a new outdoor light. He pointed out a couple pitfalls that many home owners overlook when trying to purchase from other stores like Home Depot, etc. He called the manufacturer of the light that I wanted to purchase to make sure the light base dimensions would work with the base attached to the vinyl siding. My light arrived on time, and he even carried the box to my car! You might pay a bit more, but the expertise on details is worth any headache you might encounter with a DIY!

Owner of this store is very knowledgeable and helpful. Repaired antique desk lamp for us. Works like new. Not able to repair cord on space heater but kindly referred us to a nearby appliance repair shop(Appliance Fix It) who did. Lots of high quality lamps and fixtures in this store.

I had a terrific experience with this store. Took in 4 lamps to be repaired. The repairs, done in less time than projected, are excellent. The lamps work like new. I will be taking all my future lamp problems here.

Outstanding service and gorgeous lamps!

Rude and dismissive. Employees appeared not interested in answering questions, assisting, or making a sale. I brought in a small lamp for repair or advice with the added purpose of purchasing a large dining room chandelier. They lost that opportunity and I won’t go back. Plenty of other options out there.

We have just discovered this wonderful little shop. The store owner is very patient as we have brought in repairs and then shopped for shades.

Took an expensive floor lamp here to repair the base where cement had crumbled. They replaced the base with heavier, more stable iron base - so no more crumbling cement! Finished the repair within a few days for about $100. Very pleased with result. Highly recommend these guys for repairs, they also appeared to have a nice selection of new lamps for sale. Nice shop and nice people. Give them a long look for your lamp needs!

My repair was fairly routine, replacing an old lamp socket, but I hadnt found any place to do the work. I am extremely satisfied and so happy to have found Lamp and Lighting Gallery. Great service(ready a day early), great results, great price, pleasant personnel. I highly recommend this place. Large and highly variable in-store selection of lighting with additional catalog options too. Prices are very reasonable including a lot of sale items. Owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Worth a trip to get something unique and of quality.

I brought in a lamp that I thought needed repairing. The bulb flickered even when I tried another new bulb and outlet. When I picked up the lamp the bulb still flickered. The person who helped me took a bulb from behind the counter and the lamp worked fine. He said “oh you probably had a couple bad bulbs”. Instead of checking the bulb first, calling me to let me know the lamp did not need repair-they replaced the base and charged me. I will not return.

Called about a technical question and was met with a sincere want to help. Unlike a lot of niche stores.

Walked in, stood at the counter waiting to get helped. A couple different employees saw me and didn’t say a word, so I walked out.

Go there, they really know lamps and lighting. I took them a broken lamp. They fixed it flawlessly and helped me choose the perfect shade, all for a reasonable price. They are professional, knowledgeable, and very patient.

Excellent work and good prices. They rewired an old floor lamp (75+ years) and it works perfectly; not many lamp repair places with this level of expertise.

Wow! After taking a lamp to an Old town Alexandria shop for a bad dimmer switch and was told it would take over a month to repair, I called Lamp and Lighting and they said it would take less than a week. I will drive the distance from Alexandria to do business with them! Love the personal service and when I called about another item I was given excellent help. They told me I could find it at XXX in Alexandria and gave me the part # I needed. Im opting to drive back to the store to support them. We need businesses like this.

I needed a repair, and was happy to find one of the few remaining shops in the area. Work was done quickly, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Despite what some of the reviews suggest, they dont sell lamp repair supplies for the DIYer ... but the staff seemed very helpful and directed me to the nearest ACE Hardware store ...
